I'm sure that AMD has seen a spike in their cards and correlated it with mining. I'd imagine that in their boardroom there is a long term plan to make sure mining is more viable.
Think about it. Spread a few million $ around us hobby miners and what is the return in brand loyalty etc.. It's very very high.
I can't believe that AMD hasn't realized this and made a coin that you  can use to buy their products and is min-able with only their cards. I BET it happens.

That sounds great. We need some buying pressure to offset the miners and yobit teams. It will support the coin and make it easier for the general public to support charity projects in the future as well.
Some knowlegable permenant coders would be great as well! Slowly but surely if you keep at it the coin price will recover and we'll be able to realize the dream of helping others out!

Well 50 CoXst is too much. Especially if someone points one of those new asic x11's at one of the pools. I don't know what number is correct. I know I mined 250,000 in the earliest days with renting on nicehash for a month. That's way too much of a reward and I was never selling. I "feel" like the selling pressure is about 5 times too high, so 10 makes sense. Maybe make the mining and POS more equalish ?
I don't know. There has to be some formula about how to set up a coin for the long haul. Alot of coins are probably set up for a pump and dump and they set the mining rewards equally. Maybe set it up for 5 so that when the price goes up we are not getting a massive dump. I don't really know the answer to this, It's a good question.

I would love for others to chime in. I know I have my wallet open 24/7 for staking. Maybe look at Diamond coin. They seem to have their coin set up optimally and the price stays relatively stable.

All the webpages, facebook, tsu.co look great! Still haven't sold one coin since the beginning.

The constant selling pressure created by the miners just dumping immediately at any price make it really hard for the coin to grow naturally.
So how do other coins that are in it for the long run create buying pressure ? I know Diamond Coin has interesting ways to keep buying up everyday by swapping BTC mining through buys on their coin.
It's feeling like death by 1,000 tiny cuts here. None of the large investors or the Dev have sold any coins but the slow dump, dump, dump, dump every single hour for weeks on end by miners is not giving the coin room to organically grow. So does anyone have any theories or ideas on what to do ? I and many others believe in the coin and the dev but the coin needs a respite from constant dump pressure.

Please others chime in. You know in Silicon Valley they put small companies in incubators to let them grow. I don't know.. Any thoughts from others on how we can get this coin to grow ?
What the dev and the coin are trying to do are important.

A charity with 100% transparency down to the level of tracking each donation.. I mean where is transparency like that in the normal world ? I know it's made me really upset that I don't know where my money goes and people aren't helped. This is a big deal that we can track each donation and have our say in it..

That is exactly what I was looking for. You are doing exactly what I want to do. I was doing it with renting on Nicehash and mining rigs rentals and on 2 970's with solo mining like with Krypton.
So if Eth dies tommorrow and you get a check for 2000 euro in the mail, what rig would you build for only mining alts but NOT eth ?

I actually am going to wait and see what new cards come out. I'm about 2-3 months from being where the cheap elec is. Industrial prices there are 1 cent a K/wH. That will help with any algo or rig.

Wonder how much is the card and how much is the system.. Do you know how much it normally draws with 6 cards ? I have nothing to compare it to.
The 6 card 380 guys say a 1300 gold or 1200 plat is fine..

I think I know how to get a list.. I use ccminer now cause I have 970 gtxs and it's easy to get a list of what people are getting on different algos in the ccminer thread.
What's the main program for AMD ? cgminer or sgminer or something like that right ? I'll ask in thier forum for a list for a r9 380 and for a r9 390.. Doh! lol

I've been mulling over what types of rigs to build. 380,380x,390,390x,nano.
It looks like the best bang for the buck FOR ETH is 6 Sapphire, Gigabyte, Asus or Msi 380 with a 1300w Gold or 1200w Plat PSU.
What I didn't take into account was what if eth crashes and/or I want to mine other algos.. What if I want to mine another algo for a new coin ?

Did I pigeonhole myself with getting all AMD r9 380's ?

If my goal is not eth but ALL algo's then whats the best bang for the buck card at the moment ? That's why I was looking for a spreadsheet.

Also, those 380itxs look excellent. Why did you choose them over a normal Sapphire 380 ? I can't find a 4GB version on Newegg or Amazon either..
Do the ITXs draw more power or less than the standard Sapphire 380 ? Power costs don't matter a whole, whole lot to me. My electric runs about 3.5 cents a K/wH

I mean a spreadsheet With a column of algorithms and graphics cards.
I mean "dumbed down" as in I don't care about variations due to overclocking, underclocking etc.. Just a round number.
When I enter R9 380 on your site I get variations of 2 cards, 3 cards, 380, 380x, Fury X, mixed systems.. and only blake256, scrypt chacha, Neoscrypt and Eth.

It works fine but I just want a spreadsheet.. Would be nice to have a spreadsheet for the most popular cards, So you can just look and see what is the most bang for the buck depending on what algos you might run.

Does anyone have a list or spreadsheet with the "general" hashrates of 380 and 390 cards on algos other than ethash?

It's looking like a 380 will run "ROUGHLY" $1,757.87 on newegg + case and risers
and a 390 will run "ROUGHLY" $2,627.86 + case and risers

I ran the numbers for eth every which way I could and the 380 was definitely more bang for the buck with ETH.

1) why didn't you go with all 390 s? (I see you have 1 rig with 390's) Is it because 380's are more bang for the buck ?
