It must be intel. There are even lower watt intels out there. I will try to go 1 volt, but with prices a $13, any mh/s at about 0.3 Mh/J is making money.

I stopped my cards and the power went down to 98 watts with the stock fans still on. I did the test earlier in year before turning cards on and the base power was 78-86 watts. However, the cpu-z ghz won't show 3.3 ghz but something less.
stock bios, stock settings 2500K intel sandy bridge, stock clockings Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 2 dummy plugs and using intel graphics 8 gb ram (2 sticks of 4) no hd, SSD thermaltake 750W 80 plus bronze
6870 1.075/900/300 277 mh/s 6950 1.075/870/300 357 mh/s
total 376 watts = 1.68 Mh/J

That is amazing what voltage is a good voltage to keep cards at to optimize energy. Saw in an older post you were running at 1.01v/900/300 with 735 mH/s.

Wtf is this? Where's deepbit? Why is such a huge pool being hidden in the 'Others' slice?
deepbit was under ddos attack about this time. The chart come from bitcoinwatch. However the graphs about use the google graph maker thingy directly in the html code.

Texas in de-regulated areas $0.05 per kw-Hr. Also industrial users might get even lower.

still be a 333% gain for the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTC started the year at $0.3. If it ends the year at 10, it will be a 3333% move. In comparison, gold was $18.93 in 1833. Today it is $1586. If gold was $47.58 on January 1st, the price would be $1586 with a 3333% move. You have to go back to 1971 for that price. For BTC was to go to $25.13, the move would be equal the move of gold 1833 to present.
In summary, if BTC ends the year at 1.0 it will be one of the best investments for the year.

I think you make a good point. The small business owner could control all the bitcoin. For a large business the largest shareholder could hold all the bitcoin and distribute to accounts. There also might be joint encryptions on wallets. Thus a 1000 coin wallet might have to get a key from 5 people to be used when 10 people have the key.

There is presently a bitcoin spam attack going on at youtube too.

Is this topic a joke. Communism is more collectivism and anarchy is no government. in summary they are complete opposites.
anarchy - small government - big government - socialism- communism
anarchy <> communism

Anybody try this. Something seems fishy that there are no assembler or c miners that could really do better imho. I was wondering if anyone tried this on an amd card.

Since these cards ARE primarily gamer cards, expect a lot of focus on non-mining features like tessellation and DOF shader effects and other things that take up PCB space and don't contribute to hashing.
Is there any way to turn this junk off in RBE to save energy?

Hold a contest in several steps:
1. Contest to develop a 3D bitcoin in povray 2. Contest to use the 3D bitcoin in 3D scene which attempts to show a large 50' diameter bitcoin on a statue in a Desert scene. 3. Contest using the winner above to add final touches to the scene, like cars, roads, ... 4. Take the picture out for preliminary bid in BTC only. 5. Go to places like Holloran Springs on the I15, other places across the country. I mention this place because the I15 has a lot of traffic being the corridor between Las Vegas and Los Angeles and some guy has a Ron Paul sign written on his roof. I think . 6. Do a final bid preferably. 7. Install and and laugh.
I think this statue might have a solar panel digital display webcams such that it might show the current price of bitcoin. Also maybe a coke machine that accepts only bitcoin. Height about 200'. Maybe some advertising. Maybe install 10-20 of them.

What a load of crap. If you actually try selling anything here (as I have done multiple times) then you would know that there are no buyers of goods and services (not including those related to mining).
People are hoarding and are not spending, even with massive discounts.
Take it from someone who makes a living from selling goods and services for USD, there is NO bitcoin economy.
There are 2 ways to get btc mining and selling. 2 weeks ago there was no reason to sell because the mining margins were massive. Now, things are starting to get interesting. It won't be true economy until mining electricity costs = $ bitcoin. I have bought stuff with bitcoin and made some donations. sirk, that is a great list, how did you find number of links (a php script)?

date blk0001.dat MB/Day growth between periods 5-17 163.9 5-24 179.0 2.06 6-02 201.8 2.40 6-07 218.3 3.67 6-13 248.1 4.85 6-20 283.5 5.00 6-29 321.3 4.24 7-03 335.1 3.96
I have also been keeping track of the total size of blk0001.dat It is interesting to note when the 0.0005 transaction fee went in the average growth in the total blocks went down. I like small block growth and would like to see higher transaction fees or preferably a transaction fee that changes automatically to keep block growth at 1 mb/day.

If you google "bitcoin services" and click on the 1st link "Trade - Bitcoins" you can open the file up and "save file as" to desktop. Below is the file size. To me it means the bitcoin economy grew 10% in 3 days, and about 25% in a week.

We have just had about 4 of the worst things (except for the collapse in the block) to happen:
1. Mt Gox was hacked that had over 95% market share in trades, everyones email address exposed to the net and fraudulently reported by media as death of bitcoin.
2. 25,000 coin heist.
3. 2 trojans discovered.
4. Anti-bitcoin pumpers/dumpers and fights on youtube.
I would expect bitcoin should have gone to 5 with this news. However, it remained strong and as Jim Rogers always says when you hit a string of bad news and the price does not drop further you are near the bottom.
As for comparing it to a year ago is really foolish technical analysis.

I think I might of had this, however it shows slow mh/s on your computer. What I did was reinstall windows to fix it.
