581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: May 13, 2017, 02:12:25 AM
Depends on how large the loss is and why you had the loss. If you get stopped out of a position and take a loss is different than waking up in the morning and realizing you lost a huge % of your bank roll. Especially when you were so sure about the trade. The first type should be no big deal. The later can result in profuse vomiting. If you have not vomited because of a loss on a trade before you have not completed your education yet. That would be your diploma!

LOL. I didn't vomit on my first big lost waking up in the morning. I only got frustrated but I realized that the more I got frustrated, the more I loss my concentration in trading. That's why I try to stay cool most of the time, but simply taking a walk around the neighborhood and coming back with more vigor not to make the same mistakes again. I'm not a person that easily gave up, so any disappointed and frustration that comes along I will take it, but rest assured that I will try to avoid if it the circumstances presents itself again.

Define "big loss". Big loss is different for everybody. I lost $22,000 on 1 trade about 5 years ago. For me that was a lot of money. I was at work and was trying to act normal. Went to the bathroom twice to vomit and I was pissed for about a week.  I learned never put all of your eggs in 1 basket. Even if you are SURE!
Ouch, well i have not gambled that much because i like to keep my losses to a minimum but its unfortunate you had to learn a valuable lesson the hard way... As the old saying goes "A problem shared is a problem solved" its also good that you sharing with the community hope we learn not to be greedy at any one time .
582  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Soon Reach $1700 on: May 12, 2017, 08:30:58 PM
Upper weekly BB is right around $1700... BTC may indeed soon reach $1700

Boom.... of course, everyone in this thread had their uberbull blinders on, so they were confused because we were already above $1700 Roll Eyes
Preev shows we are just  1 dollar below the $1700 mark right now and am starting to believe the bubble has burst as we have lost over 100 dollars price mometum just today Cry

hope price will correct itself back to a +1800
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: May 12, 2017, 05:42:17 AM
Very beautiful these return semi-finals. The qualification of the Manc. United and the Aaax seemed secure and instead they were in balance until the last second.

After risked a clumsy elimination, now Mourinho and his Manchester United must win the Europa league and go to champion's league (in the Premier League now it is out of the games).

Mathematically Mourinho and his Manchester United team lost their golden ticket to qualify for champion leagues games and in my opinion the have no other option but will against an inform ajax team!

Good to see bookies where right to price Manchester united as favourites from the outset
584  Economy / Speculation / Re: China is coming back to the game, moon? on: May 11, 2017, 10:29:52 PM
I would not underestimate their potentials, as far as I see, in average their have quite a bit more spare money to invest than Western countries. When bitcoin gets on the right track, money will jumps in very quickly.
I would not underestimate them either but china has to many strings attached to centralization and bureaucracy
i would not like to see them drag bitcoin to its  knees with all these PBOC counter measures ....so top spot definitely not china
585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince people into you using Bitcoin? on: May 11, 2017, 01:15:56 PM
to convince someone about it we need to just tell them about the bitcoin idea and let them know how one can make earnings from it. Once you are done with this process I think the person will then follow it because in today’s world everyone wants to earn some extra money to collect.
Yes I believe it too but according to my experience there is different level of people with the understanding levels and also with the interests that differs from each other’s. Most importantly you have to talk to them according to the interest of the person who you want to convince. When it comes to him or her interest the rest of the game is easy to play.
Its easier to tell a person with an interest in technology about bitcoin without having to explain a lot unlike an average Joe who will ask all sorts of questions....I know i was once that newbie at this stuff but i dedicated myself to learn most of the basics of bitcoin.
Afaik it comes down to a persons wiliness to learn and not about convincing them.
586  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-10]Good News: Australia Drops Double Taxation on Bitcoin on: May 10, 2017, 11:09:23 PM
This is a big score for bitcoin and our Australian friends who will now be able to access cheaper bitcoins
and we should expect this move to also indirectly influence other countries to endorse its usage
587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: May 10, 2017, 10:46:28 PM
Against all odds bitcoin still remains the most preferred crypto currency even with all these scalability issues still at hand

and value has increased greatly and i expect this to continue for the year 2017 because of the growing interest from new users.
588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: May 09, 2017, 08:52:58 AM
No matter how other people think for me bitcoin is money even though it is a kind of virtual currency which can be used only in online.
Bitcoin is money, but most people also use it as an investment tool, especially for moments like this. See the rapidly rising bitcoin price development, making people see bitcoin as a more profitable investment tool, rather than seeing it as money.
Very true, Bitcoin has become more than just money
that is why it has grown to be popular as it accommodates every bodies needs from using it as a trading asset, to a form of long or short term investment tool, some use its technology but it will remain as digital money as its popular form.
589  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: May 08, 2017, 11:12:25 PM
I think it still takes time, when the world is screwed up, the threat of war Korea vs. USA make the economic recession, and could not be disputed that the influence of the USD is still very strong that bitcoin it took a long time.
Thats what happens when you hungry for power but that has nothing to do with bitcoin becoming a global currency because its a decentralized and not controlled by either of the two countries.
Of course politics might have an impact on the future of bitcoin but atm its doing pretty fine to be recognized as a Global Currency.
590  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you have an idea to invest your bitcoin in offline business? on: May 08, 2017, 07:03:49 PM
Yes, I have plans for the future by opening a small business in my friends do together, so that the income of the bitcoin can be use for offline business, we have discussed it together and friends, I agree with the objectives of this petty business. I can't discuss the efforts of what we will do, since it's not running just still planned.
I wish you well mate and its good you also telling people about bitcoin to help grow the community, one new adopter is better than nothing.

I like the fact that you have given your selves enough time on this business project and any carefully  planned project usually grows to be a successful.

My self i have started to learn how to code hoping to get into the crypto currency mining business with a hands on user experience.
591  Economy / Economics / Re: The best time to invest. on: May 08, 2017, 06:39:29 PM
If  you trust bitcoins and if you have faith in potential of bitcoins that it will not disappoint you in future then any time is the best time is to invest in it as in long run the price will be much higher which will give best returns on your investments.

Yes, it looks like bitcoins will surely give good profits in the longer run. But to invest no need to wait for right time instead can start immediately to accumulate smaller quantities from now and over the time you buy prices will be average out to a good price.
i agree, its about time we stop waiting for a bubble to burst or price to come down!
What if today's price is the lowest ? It would mean you will not be able to buy any bitcoins.
The best strategy at the moment with these high price is buy in bits at whatever time and eventually you will accumulate enough in the long run.
592  Economy / Services / Re: [WTH] Looking for Logo Design (see details inside) on: May 08, 2017, 06:11:10 AM
The design price is pretty good. If you will hire a designer, you will only get 2 mockups to 3 mockups. How about posting it as a contest to lure dozen of design mockups from lots of designers? Dont forget to post your deadline date.
A contest should bring out some good designs for you to choose from and get you to keep not only one design  Wink

could you possibly help us with some company colors will could possibly work with and deadline of course
593  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Soon Reach $1700 on: May 07, 2017, 10:38:05 PM
There is still a long way up, Bitcoin will go to 3000$ in the next 2 month before any big retrace.
i think its impossible that bitcoin price will be rise to 3000$ in next 2 months because 3000$ is very much high price but i hope it can be possible that bitcoin price will be rise to 3000$ in the nest Year.
how can you say that is impossible, i think you do not know about the nature of bitcoin. bitcoin has the potential to increase its price more and more. i think  it is very much possible that the price of bitcoin can reach to 3000 USD level in next two months.
Of course not impossible but we are only looking at one side of the equation which is getting to $3000 without putting into account any resistance and possibility of a bubble burst

I am wondering what are the contributing factors for this continuing rally?  Please share your ideas for the enlightenment and guidance of some readers (including me).
there are some signals of mining pools soon to activate segwit which has sent a wave of confidence to investors and general community to demand for more btc before prices surge further away.
594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your biggest bitcoin regrets? on: May 07, 2017, 09:33:13 PM

I regret not finding out about bitcoin earlier because am that kind of person thats always hooked to whats trending around the world or i had an interest in something else or maybe I just didn't get the memo. I wounder how many bitcoins i would have had by now if a pizza could be bought for as low as 10000 BTC back then Tongue
595  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Slow payments and fees solution??? on: May 07, 2017, 06:55:47 PM
The only solution to slow payments which is as a result of backlogs and the unforgiving  high fees we are forced to pay would only be solved by moving on to altcoins just to echo a message of a desperate solution to the scaling which is the source of our current problems.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: List of Casinos that accept Dogecoin on: May 07, 2017, 06:06:59 PM
From the list it actually looks like not many casinos are actually accepting  Dogecoin at the moment wonder why Huh
I also know of Rollin dice casino but you can only play with doge by a deposit through the ShapeShift API

hope it counts??
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: May 07, 2017, 02:12:40 PM
There are three important aspects that can make the price of tokens grow exponentially. The first is that tokens will be issued at one time and there will be no more tokens, meaning that there will be no new mined or created coins entering the market. The second aspect is that the number of tokens, not only will not be bigger but on the contrary, will be smaller. With the repurchase of tokens their number will be decreasing with which they will be more valuable. And then there is the third aspect, which is very interesting from a psychological point of view. The fact that every month the platform repurchases tokens tells the holders that someone is going to buy their coins. That is, the person who owns the tokens knows that at least once a month someone is going to enter the market to buy those tokens which can allow higher selling prices to be maintained. It will be interesting to check the effects of this process over the months.

This post is well thought of and summarized how the value of a token can elevate its price.  Smiley

This is one of those projects that gained trust thru time even though the team behind this, is still anonymous. Though they have already a physical address to contact to.
Sometimes sig campaign has really good effect on the company as you have a lot of people behind you, trying to rationalize what's in store for the project.
Indeed, signature campaigns brought a big impact to promote a certain coin or whatever it is.
Although the value of it  does not really depends on how many good posters they have but on the trust that they will put in market, on how many investors are willing to invest and as I can see we have a good start until now.
They talked about this in the thread, they have said that Quantums are a limited Coin in which it gets less and less quantity because of how the blackhole address they have. The question is will it really result into the upward pressure of their price. Because it is a unique concept that I heard for the first time in which they really have a limited quantity.
i like the concept of the project, because it will mean instead of traders dumping their coins to negatively devalue the quantum
they will go an extra step of preserving the value by buying back the coins at the best possible market price and naturally stimulate the value of quantum....
I think this should give pressure on price for that upward movement to happen as its based on low supply= increase in price simple but effective!
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: May 07, 2017, 12:59:25 PM
People still prefer bitcoin over fiat because they see a lot of potential and possibilities in bitcoin and i think they earn more money in using bitcoin except in fiat that they earn but it is just a small amount everyday. If i will choose between those two then i would still choose fiat because bitcoin is not yet fully stable and anything worst can happen so i will play safe.

For me, especially when dealing online, I would prefer in bitcoin. It is safe, fast and reliable and anonymous too.Once it is sent, you can check on the blockchain and monitor its progress.Transacting bitcoin online is hassle free. Though there are lag reports this past days, but still its ok.

That is the best when we talk about online selling or buying some stuffs, you can easily send or received a bitcoin and you can monitor it but in real world only few are accepting bitcoin as payment and mostly they didnt recognize it so it is a little bit not worthy in real life so you should convert it in real fiat.
correct, when is comes to selling or buying stuffs online bitcoins have a better security over fiat has you do not need to provide a lot of information about your self, things like credit numbers are not required to complete a transaction and transactions will not be flagged pending scrutiny from the bank to authorize a transaction...bitcoin is simply hassle free and can be used any where any time without restrictions .
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think DOGECOIN is the future of Altcoins ? on: May 07, 2017, 06:10:53 AM
Dogecoin seems to have lost its way along the way because it remained in the shadows of bitcoins just as litecoin did not until

segwit but its surprising to see that Doge is among the top traded coins at the moment maybe it has a future after all...guess we need to buy some while

they are cheap
600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions now take ages to confirm? on: May 06, 2017, 11:10:14 PM
You guys really like to agitate the situation. Transactions never takes ages... You just need to learn how much fee you gotta pay for the transaction to take place without delay. If you're not putting enough fee, there is no reason to complain on.

Nope, it takes forever to confirm. I already paid 240 sats per byte and it is already 24hrs since and still unconfirmed. How much more fee do you want me to pay? No one benefits this fee hike but the miners.
precisely sometimes using high fees does not imply that your transaction will get confirmed super fast like in your case its over 24 hers and not confirmed

You could try to accelerate it through viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
