5801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this is the news we need for market to recover on: March 15, 2020, 06:47:28 AM
Many are associating the Corona Virus has something to do with the crash of the market, because they theorize that people are liquidating their shares or coins and converting it to fiat so they can buy basic necessities in case these pandemic, but what if our medicine experts finally find the cure, will the market recover  because of this news?

What's your take on this?

That's quite true, the crash all points towards a global panic as most nation has declared emergency lockdown and some country have restricted movement both in and out of the country while others have stopped every public gathering which has affected many businesses. Irrespective of all these, finding the cure doesn't guarantee the stop of the spread of the virus, the medicine might not even be easily accessible to most affected individual as it'll more costly and just used as a means of making profit just as other cures has been used.

The general public are misinformed that's just the reason behind the panic, the situation can only get better when they get inform on how speedy most cases are getting cured and the death rate isn't that deadly when compared to other viruses that have hit the human race in the past.

The media aren't doing their job right, they're mostly interested in views instead of giving their audience the right and correct information, Corona is deadly but it can be cured and it isn't that serious as the media make it to look like.
5802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: March 15, 2020, 06:36:05 AM
Regardless of the negatives that people have about crypto in general, there has been many bears like this and the market has come back up. I strongly believe that the market will definitely come back green and that now is the time to fill the bag and acquire these coins on the low.

Specifically bitcoin has survive all the bubble doubters has speculated to be the end of the market, this crash in my opinion is just a blessing in disguise as it present an opportunity for late coming to get their hands on some quality cryptocurrency before the price get out of reach for the average individual to afford them in whole instead of buying fractions.

The dip also present opportunities to old members to refill their bags and for traders to take advantage of (leverage on) the massive price difference the market will be experiencing this period. Although as an Investors/trader, you have to be cautious with the investment decision you'll be making this period to avoid falling victim to scam.

Most project won't recover from this set back (especially altcoins having similar ideology) as only those with great marketing strategy will survive. Just having a brilliant idea isn't good enough as you have to be able to convince the community to put trust in your project which can only be achievable through marketing.
5803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the market stand this trial on: March 15, 2020, 06:21:39 AM
The market have withstood a lot in the past but what is happening right now is something unexpected, because of this the market crashed by over 50% do you think the market can recover if this scenario worsen and last for several months, what could be the possible solution here in the market.

Can you compared what just happened to that of the 2018/2019 market crashed? The market has seen worst and today it's still active. Although what just happened was never expected as everyone or most enthusiast thought bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry at large was a save heaven against any economy breakdown but that wasn't the case as the panic also made its way into the industry.

Why I strongly believe the market is going to recover is the fact, we're not the only industry been affected. The whole economy is under attack by the fud been spreading as a result of Corona virus.

It might recover along side other market or takes its own part since until last week I haven't experienced any scenario where the cryptocurrency market follows the trend of other market. It was definitely a surprising experience but also an opportunity to get your hands on some valuable coin for a bargaining price.
5804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] COVID-19 Hits Ethereum Community Conference, Six People Test Positive on: March 15, 2020, 06:11:33 AM
Ok now this is foolishness from the part of the organisers of the conference, didn't they see other far important conferences & social gathering were getting cancelled just to prevent cases like this from been the end result.

The likes of premier league, festivals, basketball league etc were all cancelled irrespective of the money at risk but just a conference that could be done online just to prevent physical contact still felt they have the need to carry-out their meeting.

I blame the organization but send my well wishes to the affected individual and pray for a speedy recovery, just hope this doesn't affect the ethereum price negatively as I don't think ethereum can survive another massive decline in price value especially a case that only the coin is involved and not a general market correction.
5805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Exactly Caused The New Drop Of Crypto? on: March 15, 2020, 06:01:56 AM
Just in few days now we have been experiencing unthinkable massive market drop, it seems something happened which I did not hear off. Please anyone here to tell me what exactly happened to the market?

Thanks.

One could have easily put the blame on whale manipulation since the halving event is getting closer and like previously they're shaking the market to chase away weak hands to refill their bag with the hope of benefiting from the hype associated with the halving of bitcoin's block reward.

Although that's not the case since not just the cryptocurrency market is been affected but all other traditional market like stock makret, bond, commodity etc were all affected. The like of Gold, Oil, company shares etc all declined in price. Forex market was also affected as some currencies lost value.

Since the whole economy was affected than the trend of the day which is Corona virus would had obviously been the cause of the panic, people decide to take precautions measure since no one knew what was going to happen next, they're all cashing out their investment and probably storing more  fiat Incase if an economy meltdown.
5806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Paused] Koinly Signature Campaign, payout in ethereum weekly. [NEW RULE] on: March 14, 2020, 03:43:01 PM
From my previous discussion with the project founder, it seems they're no longer interested in carrying on with the campaign, initially they were interested in a 4weeks trail but due to poor turnout from the first week that brought about only 20 click and one sign-up, it seems they're no longer interested in continuing the campaign.

I have tired reaching them to refill the escrow wallet so week two campaign can kick off, also introduced a new suggestion to increase traffic (only counting post on specific boards, so to create room for the advertisement to be concentrated) but I haven't had any possible response since then.

The campaign was previously paused for about 3days now but I have been forced to end the campaign since I'm no longer recieving any update from the founder in regards to continuing the campaign. All participants can remove Signature and avatar. It was fun working with you all and I hope to work with you on my other campaigns.

5807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: March 13, 2020, 01:33:09 PM
There are so many gamblers in this virtual world or even in the real life, there are some that can be considered as a compulsive gambler or those really addicted in gambling. That is the worst thing that you may acquire in gambling, in which that all the things that you are usually doing are now nothing, you are only focused on gambling, even your relationships on your friends and family are affected.

Most effective way to recover will be to be determined to stop gambling yourself. Addiction is a disease and should be treated with serious caution. Like other addiction (like the like of drug, alcohol addiction etc), the gradual reduction in their intake can be reference when dealing with gambling addiction. You should limit yourself in both the time and fund you spend gambling.

Assuming you spend hours gambling or thousands of dollars, it should be reduced to minutes and hundreds of dollars respectively until you can finally declare yourself free from gambling addiction. Don't rush the process, it's a gradual process so give it time.

5809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the position of the gambler in the market? on: March 13, 2020, 08:48:15 AM
Your money will be in danger if you gamble without proper and enough knowledge about it. You should firstly know the risk involved in it before diving into such things.

Exactly but many gamblers get carried away by the testimonies these site put on their website most times to decieve the masses into patronizing them as they'll presume the games to be quite predictable that one could easily win as testify by other users.

The OP explantation to his thread title isn't direct but if I was to answer the question asked in the topic title then I'll say not much. Gamblers don't have much role to play in the market, they're mostly interested in themselves and all the activities revolves around either winning it losing their bet which technically doesn't have much to do with the market condition.
5810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 13, 2020, 08:38:06 AM
Guys, in moments such this we are living, with a crisis just ahead of all of us, do you stop gambling?

In my case, since me engaging in gambling related activities has less to do with profiting than having fun. I won't stop just because of some crisis like what we're experiencing. In the case of the Corona virus, a solution involving me restricting myself from physical casinos can be deployed to avoid coming in contact with affected persons.

Cryptocurrency, smartphone and the internet has made it so easy that you can gamble without having to leave the comfort of your bed therefore gambling through online casinos can be used to replace physical casinos to avoid coming in contact with the virus.
5811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 13, 2020, 05:53:15 AM
It was such a pity to see Liverpool crashing out of the Uefa Champions League this season, after witnessing how Liverpool demolished all of the English Premier League teams this season, I was hoping to see Liverpool progressing into the finals in the Uefa Champions League this season, but Atletico Madrid did played really well in the extra time to beat Liverpool at the stadium of Anfield.
It's sad if we look at ball possession statistics, passes and corner kicks that are dominated by Liverpool then in data, Liverpool should win, but Liverpool really not lucky.

Football matches aren't won by statistics as there're different strategy to win a matches. A team might decide to sit deep to defend and counter attack their opponents when the opportunity presents itself resulting to them most likely winning the game. Atl Madrid are known for doing exactly that. That Liverpool dominated most stats is mostly due to the fact Atl Madrid allowed them to.

Concerning @Barcode statement, That Liverpool dominated the premier doesn't mean they should be the favorite to win the champion league. These are two different tournament with different atmosphere. Don't also forget, Watford destroyed they said demolishers you speak off.
5812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 12, 2020, 09:11:01 PM
For what it's worth even the so called big 5 clubs other Liverpool in recent seasons have all been representing the poorly, would you rather have Arsenal back in the UCL, just because you Leicester aren't good enough ? I don't think so.

Obviously not Arsenal but definitely United although not at the expenses of my club (Chelse). From the look of things the possibility of Chelsea losing the fourth position and champions league spot to United (assuming the ban on Manchester city get lifted) is present considering we (Chelsea) are using just three points to pass united while we still have the likes of Manchester city, Liverpool, Wolve and Leicester to play with one of the poor defense in the league.

Checkout the level of performance Wolves as a club is delivering in the Europa league, that's how you make an impact. Leicester don't just have that in them in regards to playing at the champion league level.
5813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2020, 08:57:08 PM
Ighalo delivery once again, proving he's worthy of been a united player as he opened the scoring for united as they netted five times to secure a win over LASK. His ball control and finish was superb. He scored at the 28 minute which means he has scored in all the game he started for united that's 4goals in three start.

His move to united has been a plus so I won't be surprised if it becomes a permanent deal in the summer, it'll be very shocking if it doesn't play out as we (Nigerians) are expecting. Haven't watched any United game since the departure of Ronaldo that isn't against top teams especially Chelsea, Liverpool and city but since the signing of Ighalo I have been a fan of united just to watch him play.
5814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 12, 2020, 08:40:41 PM
I missed the game, but I saw the last update at 1-0. I think, there's still a big chance that if City lose their game in hand to Arsenal, we could see the Foxes go up back to 2nd place. I think they deserve a chance back in UCL, and it's so good to see them up there where they belong.

The Leicester vs Aston Villa game ended 4-0 in favor of Leicester as Vardy netted twice, one from the penalty spot and another from open play also Barnes also scored twices. Leicester are paying quite well but them been among the top 4 is mostly as a result of the poor performance from other too clubs performing poorly. Assuming the likes of Arsenal, tottenham and united were performing at their best, the likes of Leicester won't have been in discussion.

They (Leicester) are good but not good enough for the champion league, the last time they played at that stage, not sure if they passed the group stage. We don't need teams like that representing us (premier league) at that level. We need teams that can atleast compete for the title and probably win it. Leicester should focus more on playing & winning the Europa when they accomplish that successfully on multiple occasions then they can set higher goals like winning the champion league.
5815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2020, 07:57:03 PM
I guess that mostly depends on what happens with PL. If they just have a break no matter how long and than continue with the season I see no reason to do anything with our pool.

You're making sense in regards to the first paragraph of your post as we have like 9 games more to go (that's if I'm not mistaking my count in regards to the played matches) although I'm quite aware some clubs are yet to play their outstanding matches which was rescheduled. Out of the 9 games to be played, you can't rule out the chances of some participants having a shot at winning consolation prizes therefore anybody suggesting of the pool getting stopped won't be the idea solution to the problem.

We just have to wait for all matches to be played, the only time we can stop the pool is if the premier league comes out with an announcement of stopping the season at this current state without playing the remaining 9 matches.
5816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coronavirus and it’s impact on sporting events - please add on: March 12, 2020, 07:32:58 PM
Basically, almost every major competition are getting stopped.

Not good enough, thought by now all major football tournament will be stopped since it's more of a contact sport filled with audience in their thousands creating a more favourable environment for the Corona virus to be distributed to as much individuals as possible but I'm not impressed. Seems like the governing body of this leagues are more interested in the profit to be made then the health of the fans, players and employees of the stadium this matches are been played in.

I know "the show must go on" but when human health are at risk, the number one priority of any body overseeing any gathering or event should be to keep we (humans) safe from harm. Irrespective of how negative such decision will have to their business our life's is more important.
5817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2020, 07:13:28 PM
Fantastic game, it was spectacular. Atletico players and Simeone once again are showing that when it comes to determination they know exactly what it means.

History has a way of repeating itself but many thought it'll be impossible since Liverpool at anfield were previously impossible to defeat. They all forgot, Diego Simeone has never lost a champion league knockout stage game that doesn't feature Christian Ronaldo and that record still stand.

Liverpool fans should just thank God that Manchester city and other potential contenders for the title have just been poor this season if not the possibility of Gerrarding the title would had been in discussion assuming if the race  was like last season.
5818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2020, 09:19:49 AM
I am really shocked at how Liverpool let their qualification slip away yesterday in such a childish behavior. When they scored the second goal I thought they would be calm and manage the game but they were not calm at all.

In my opinion I think they (Liverpool) were even lucky to get some hope in the match. We all know Atl. Madrid are defensively capable of stopping Liverpool from scoring irrespective of where the match is been played. The first leg saw them (Atl. Madrid) played over 80 minutes+ defending Liverpool's attack.

The home advantage was the force behind Liverpool's hope to fight back but luck wasn't just on their side. The extra time also contributed.
5819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Physically vs Gambling Online Using Crypto on: March 12, 2020, 07:25:17 AM
We all know how gambling does really makes us feel good especially if we're tired and we won a decent profit from gambling. That's why it is good to talk about the excitement we feel while gambling but here's the question, what is more fun to play? Gambling physically, or gambling using bitcoin online?

Irrespective of the satisfactory gambling online offers, nothing can take away the pleasure and human interaction gambling physically offers. When you win and have people you can share your happiness with, it even make the winning more enjoyable.

What makes online gambling more interesting is the ability to gamble with cryptocurrency as it makes it more fast, secure and less costly. If the question is directed to physical vs online gambling and cryptocurrency isn't involved then I'll go for physical gambling but once bitcoin (cryptocurrency) is involved, I'll go for online gambling.

5820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone pay for slandering gambling websites on Bitcointalk? on: March 12, 2020, 06:34:16 AM
In several threads in the gambling section, I noticed "Newbie" accounts that try to slander the name of the gambling website in any possible way.
Some often sounds very trustworthy - they certainly have experience.
Do you also think that competitors pays for slandering?

Obviously yes, as a frequent visitor to reputation and scam accusation board, sometimes when I read some accusations towards specific gambling site, without much investigate you'll notice the accusations are been forged. Mostly the rank engaging in this acts are newly created account then their main account of the accomplice are used to support their claims.

Things like this happens in the business world outside the forum therefore the forum can't be excepted, it's considered a dirty business strategy to win over their competitors by painting them (their reputation) bad.
