Wow. This is pretty lame. I've double sent bitcoins to buyers a few times and when I've requested them back they've always returned them promptly. On the other side, I've had people send too many bitcoins to me and I've sent them right back when requested.
If a shopkeeper handed you too much change in the store by accident and then noticed it and asked for it back would you also then say "No! It was your fault! I'm not the scammer here you gave me too much money even though I never asked for it!" What if they set off the alarm and chased you as you ran out of the store, calling you a thief? Would you run and yell back, "It's your fault, I never asked for it"?
Thankfully, the vast majority of people I deal with are actually honest enough to refund mistaken transfers, despite what socialists and original sin Christians want us to believe about human nature.
