Wow. This is pretty lame. I've double sent bitcoins to buyers a few times and when I've requested them back they've always returned them promptly. On the other side, I've had people send too many bitcoins to me and I've sent them right back when requested.

If a shopkeeper handed you too much change in the store by accident and then noticed it and asked for it back would you also then say "No! It was your fault! I'm not the scammer here you gave me too much money even though I never asked for it!" What if they set off the alarm and chased you as you ran out of the store, calling you a thief? Would you run and yell back, "It's your fault, I never asked for it"?

Thankfully, the vast majority of people I deal with are actually honest enough to refund mistaken transfers, despite what socialists and original sin Christians want us to believe about human nature.
This is the whole point.

Why don't you stop repeating yourself and start addressing some of the real questions people have posted?

Indeed. I am sure that if I send you 10 000 BTC right now I will instantly have it back great honourable sir terrytibbs !

Yes, you would.

How very reassuring !

A former scammer giving assurance for another former scammer.

I guess that now I am in the "club"

Have you considered joining the insurance business Cheesy ?
I remember both of them did reimburse their former victims a long time ago. Did you do anything of the sort yet?
5806  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: April 28, 2012, 05:05:50 PM
Seems I am under heavy DDOS right now. I am sure it has nothing to do with smart1985 at all.

I am the scammer, remember ? The REAL bad guy. I am trying to sell you snake oil, remember and when you don't send me all the BTC in your wallet I will send the boogeyman to get ya !

I am not the admin of gambling sites and a probable HYIP scheme and being accused of doctored systems ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=45502.msg849876#msg849876 )

That guy is impeccable and should be given the "GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY, I AM 100% TRUSTFUL" tag.

I did not give the forum 50 BTC and should be given the big scammer tag !

He goes to attack then why should I not do the same Huh

Honestly, I don't give a fuck to whomever is that guy you're trying to defraud, even if he's a proven scammer and you're a moderator here. What we mind here is your actions now. Even Walmart or other large corporations will get the fire if they tried to pull something like you did with a criminal as forcing your wares upon someone is wrong.
5807  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: April 28, 2012, 04:52:37 PM
I may be an asshole but not a scammer.

The tag is not justified.

He makes mistake.

I say I give BTC back.

He attacks me.

I did my best to give what he paid for but no refund after he treats me like a thief because he made the mistake first and even so he starts attacking ME for no reason.

The fact I got scammer tag on here just because he is VIP and gets to play around with the admins any way he wants just shows how fair this whole community is.

Scam = A dishonest scheme; a fraud. Swindle.

I never did anything like that. I refuse to pay for his mistakes when he acts like a jerk in the first place towards me.

Will he get my BTC-E account unbanned ? Will he take back his harsh words "liar, thief, scammer" ? Will he roll back my reputation he ruined on the forum ? I doubt it.

And still I am the "guilty" one with the big SCAMMER tag Sad

Since when did you say that you are giving him his BTC back? The original posts depicts you refusing to return his BTC at all.

22,5 BTC

verifymessage 1JLM7SC1PM6rr5gRX9rvVvCLo9o7DUh9Hn HPZWEltpv1cnvP6YCk6ffE9FbF6XvxxZmyVCa2fZHSw6wALXZUZzuZ54WScmGTTnKgMJ96x5DjObguV+gOBVjxw= "Smart1985 mybitcointrade.com"

And you know it before you get a transaction ( before the block was found with them ) ... liar
And the deal was only one Month for 2,5 BTC

send Pay Back 22 BTC to : 1PpfNWARwRuU5t8ZkgsU9wpyXyRxRKNxQq

Just more proof he is trying to deface my image and again publicly calls me a liar, thief, scammer, conman ( insulting ) after HE made the mistake and I tried my best condition to fix it Huh

He drags other people I worked with into this when the problem clearly is between me and him.

My response :

"It would be nice if he tried and cooperate with me in regards to this matter.

Instead he goes on BTC-E screaming "scammer", insulting me and trying
to make me look like a thief.

He now goes on the forum (
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483.180 ) again trying to look
like a victim and make me look a fool.

Please read my full post on that thread.

I wasted 2 hours of my time trying to resolve this issue yet I am the
one that is repeatedly called a scammer.

I never scammed anyone and won't scam anyone for a couple of BTC.

He claims 25 BTC were sent by mistake. This could be anyone sending me BTC.

Even if he proves that he did indeed sent ( through PhotoShop ) then I
believe it goes against all the BTC principles.

Payments are not meant to be reversed. I did not force him to give me
anything. He makes a mistake.

In my job and in life if I make a mistake I get fired or worse. There
is no "going back" just like in BTC.

I am not to profit from his mistake here but I think my deal was fair.

We agreed initially 2.5 BTC = 1 month.

I get sent 25 BTC then I decide to give him 10 months + 2 months bonus
( total 1 year ) and also 2 hours of my time trying to resolve the
issue.

This is the best I can do in the circumstances, especially after he
did these unprofessional steps towards me ...

I feel sorry for him but maybe this will teach him a lesson so that
next time he is more careful.

I don't have to do a refund because he makes mistakes. Especially
after he takes it out on me publicly and calls me a liar, thief,
scammer in loads of places."

After :

-spending 2 hours on BTC-E trying to resolve it
-staying up late till midnight
-insulting me publicly here and on BTC-E ( liar, thief, scammer )
-involving some other acquaintances of mine ( that have absolutely no connection with this deal )
-giving him my best offer with 2 months added free
-all this because of HIS mistake and he takes it out on me
-involving sockpuppets like karl1982 and pigeons to downrate me and insult me publicly
-me putting the ad up as I was supposed to

I really don't know what exactly to believe ...
Get my coins back ,
You know thats the true that wasnt the deal over 1 month.
and i write here and in the BTCE chat after you didnt hold your word to payback.

Thats is all what i want ...
what will you if you make a mistake and an other people can correct your mistake ?

I did not demand anything from you but 2.5 BTC for 1 month which you agreed. You now claim to have sent "by mistake" 25 BTC to me and I gave you 10 months + 2 months bonus.

It was not me that forced you to sent me 1 million BTCs etc. Your mistake you gotta learn to face up to it.

I did my best to compensate but I won't give refund after you call me a thief, scammer, liar etc. and publicly make an idiot of me ...

I did give you what you paid for in the end, the ad is there and will be there for 1 year since 8 April 2012 till 8 April 2013.
Even if he proves that he did indeed sent ( through PhotoShop ) then I

You have the power to rectify the problem.

You choose not to rectify the problem.

You admit that there is potentially even a small chance that the payment is from him.

You refuse to refund it.

This is called bad faith.

Stop posting your bullshit opinions and stop thinking anyone cares about how you think. Paste the conversation (in a different thread) where you actually agreed to how much to charge him and how long to charge him, then let someone else verify if he actually sent it. If he is lying, he is losing a lot of reputation for his business. If he is telling the truth, you're petty.

Take it a new thread though, christ.

Quoted everything just in case.

Seems like this is the case now, but remove the RG part as he should be the 'some server provider' if I ain't wrong:
Well, I'm not too sure about that:
We are also dealing with our own issues with the DC as they have given us the royal screw job.

Yes, you might be correct. It seems RG is renting whole dedicated servers to lease out.

1. Chaang is not listed on the account, he did not sign up, his name is not listed anywhere.
*I am unable to discuss any specifics with him*
Sure, it's not as if you were both posting in the same thread at a few posts interval...

Unfortunately its not that simple. This will all be fixed in due time. I'm just waiting for the person who actually pays for the server to talk to me. BitVPS is going to do what we can to fix this and attempt to make every happy, as per the usual.

So, let me get this straight:

Am I right?
Seems pretty inefficient compared to what I usually do:

The transaction was only 6 blocks ago at the time I checked it. The more than likely scenario is just that it has not shown up yet.

Check it in the morning and then call me again.  Kiss
thanks, I'll check it.

You should see it now if I'm not wrong. GLBSE needs 6 confirmations before crediting the coins.

Isn't it remarkable how a newbie with only 8 posts can so quickly find the topic about him? Seems almost as if he's not a newbie....

No matter how clever people think they are with fake personalities, avatars, names and faked speech styles, their reactions and insights cannot be faked.

The name's Atlas. Long-time Atlas.

FTFY'ed.

Any ETA's by RG? Seems really unprofessional by a VPS company to sell their clients' servers while still in contract.

clean off the burn marks with water (and maybe some solvents if water doesn't work) RMA it, and hope for the best.

Clean with the alcohol based CD/cassette 'head' cleaners - works wonders every time.
