5801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin/ICO news websites? on: October 26, 2018, 04:26:06 AM
Which are the best websites to follow for cryptocurrency/altcoins/ICO news? Which are your favorites?
I will vote for icodrops and that's the only reliable ico site right now. It's not only provide the list of trusted ico but as far as I know that it was creating a big community that has been filled by so many ico traders. you can try to get a lot of information by join in the icodrop telegram group. That's the best icosite right now. I don't see any other ico site even better than it.
5802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to determine if projects/coins will survive the bear market? on: October 24, 2018, 10:22:29 AM
Is there really a way to determine what all projects/coins will survive? I wish to invest now but I am really skeptical. Does the 'top 5-10' rule always work?Is it advisable to follow this rule blindly?
It doesn't, the top coins will always follow bitcoin and you can't expect a lot from there. I tell you an example just like EIDO you can try to track the chart and it's survive even in the bearish market because the developer was actively trying to find a new innovation and this time they are working on the crypto backed by gold after created a fully working hybrid exchange site.
5803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Co-Founder Invests in New Crypto from David Chaum on: October 24, 2018, 06:12:49 AM
When historians set out to chronicle the development of cryptocurrency, one of the first chapters will profile DigiCash, the early digital currency startup which, decades before Bitcoin, almost fulfilled the dream of giving the internet a native currency. However, that project’s inventor, cryptography pioneer David Chaum, wants his name to appear in the book’s subsequent chapters as well. Chaum, now 63, is launching a new cryptocurrency project called Elixxir, which he claims has achieved the holy grail of network decentralization, blockchain security, and transaction speed.

In a Wall Street Journal interview published earlier this year, Chaum alleged that the technological innovations in Elixxir are game changers for blockchain adoption. “These breakthroughs I’ve made change the whole game,” he told the publication. “We can actually meet the requirements to go to consumer scale.” Specifically, Elixxir implements an inversion of the traditional blockchain model, wherein transactions are aggregated into blocks and then processed by validating nodes. Chaum said that blocks will instead be produced prior to transaction batching, allowing the network to process payments quickly, even at scale.

It remains to be seen whether the production blockchain will meet Chaum’s lofty expectations while also achieving sufficient decentralization. In the meantime, Elixxir has announced that the project has received a strategic investment from Chris Larsen, the co-founder of blockchain startup Ripple and, by virtue of his Ripple equity and remaining XRP holdings, one of the wealthiest persons in cryptocurrency.

That called elixir and I have joined in the telegram group. it seems like there was no a lot of people have known about this one. They are creating something new and I like this one. Just waiting for the information regarding the elixir ico will be informed to the public participants.  Kiss
5804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL - The benefits of hodling cryptocurrencies on: October 23, 2018, 02:19:22 AM
I will admit I sold I about 25% of my holdings in January, but I've bought back more than I sold at lower prices. But at these levels there's no reason to sell... I believe current prices to be about the bottom that cryptos will go.
We are on the bottom floor. So many people regret it because they have not sold their portfolios when it reaches the peak price. Remember about this time they can buy back again and some people said they have almost created 10x from their first portfolios.
Buy more or regret it later. There was a little signal to the bullish trend.
5805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoins are dying on: October 23, 2018, 02:16:31 AM
this market situation has been repeated many times, it just needs to wait out, have patience, because, as one of the richest people in the world said, patience is rewarded  Wink

I am agree that we should be patient with market condition. I dont believe altcoin will dying because bitcoin dominant can not last forever. There many new project with good product and have more feature and i am believe there is altcoin can compete with bitcoin in near future
Well i believe that altcoin are not dying. It only experiencing a huge dip like any other coin inside the crypto market. I believe that crypto will really rise soon and I think we can really gain on it if we are going to make a preparation like buying more altcoin and hold it for good, I believe that we only need to have a big patience on it for is to earn a huge amount of profit in the near future.
It's dying if you are seeing from the technical view, remember the majority of them are traded below their ico price right now. Can you consider that the altcoin is no dying? is this kind of joke? whatever you said but in fact that market has dropped a lot from its peak price. Buy more is good but remember to accumulate the bottom.
5806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading is the key to increase your portfolio in the Bear Market on: October 23, 2018, 01:58:16 AM
very appropriate, but if implemented is very difficult, big trade is the key to getting quick profits. greed is a failure I agree with that
right, need enough experience to succeed in getting satisfactory results. indeed we cannot become greedy in the crypto world, because the results will be very disappointing and will be far from what we think.

i often trade, initially i always lose because i hope it will be even higher and in the end i lose some of my assets. we really have to target and be good at analyzing especially not feeling panic when prices will rise or prices will go down.
You must sell all of your portfolios when the chart has been increasing a lot. There was no guarantee the price of your token will always increase. basically in this market you are playing in the short term. Never try to trade for long term or make it to be your long term investment. This is a wrong decision. so many people have experienced this.
5807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: October 18, 2018, 04:45:44 AM
Ethereum has already gained its popularity. It is difficult to move him from second place. I think that more than one year must pass in order for the Waves to dislodge it. All the rest is PR, no more.
Because ETH has a lot of supporters, it has already fall in terms of price but it still stands in the number 2 spot.
Well, I am expecting it will also be in the no. 1 although that seems very impossible right now, but who knows the future.
Waves is a failed blockchain project and it can't be counted as the competitor for ethereum. Sasha was creating nothin' for almost a few years and I remember the waves crowdsale has finished in 2016 and the waves team can't even compete with a new platform. that's horrible for me dude. mercatox is one of the fail product from waves.
5808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The secret to know what cryptocoin might be listed next in Coinbase on: October 18, 2018, 04:41:40 AM
May be, but do not be blinded by connections. Sometimes people are let go, rather than left. And just because you worked for Coinbase does not mean you are good,,, I know for example so many people working for Big Four consultants like Ernst & Young or Deloitte,,, and they are supposedly experts in blockchain now but seriously I heard their presentations and read their writings and they are equal to writers at CoinIdol or something like that. Most of the Staff on this forum know things many times better!
At least that gives a clue if they are having a connection with coinbase.
It makes sense to see that, and AFAIK fred ehrsam has created a lot of investments in the icos just like cryptokitties, oasislab and many more. A lot of staff in this forum has actively watching blockchain from the start of bitcoin.

I thought that even theymos knew that who satoshi nakamoto is.
5809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: October 18, 2018, 04:27:56 AM
However we need BTC first to go back to $17K before we even think of ETH at $17K. I never really took these log charts too seriously, eventually there needs to be a top somewhere.
According to the practice of last years, if BTC price will start to grow, BTC dominance index will grow too. It means that alts will go down at the same time, ETH is not an exception. Will we see a cheaper ETH then?

In dollars, definitely not in btc, it is quite likely.
I think it’s too early to go into the negative while there is a chance and the option of switching to POS a chance for growth remains. Hope that project fees will grow anymore. The market finally fell and the projects almost do not gain air, which means it is no longer needed as it was before.
There will be a lot of updates and it needs a lot of time. POS will actually give somethin' different to the ethereum platform. remember the team has discussed about the possibility for small holders of ethereum can staking their shares to the network and earn some pennies from there. It needs a lot of time to go.
5810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What’s your prediction? on: October 17, 2018, 09:06:40 AM
My prediction is that Bitcoin will maintain the lead and will get upto 15.000 $ at the end of the year, Ethereum could get back to 500 $, nothing could compete with these two in my view.
emmmm... another crap prediction about the price of bitcoin. You didn't watch the market. ETF will get another rejection and how it could get another pump, so many people have said the same thing like you dude but this time their prediction just another useless thing. Just follow bitcoin and try to get a lot of informations.
5811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Future on: October 17, 2018, 09:03:42 AM
What does everyone think of Neos future, short term or long term

IMO, NEO's short-term potential is unlikely, so advice you not to invest in short-term NEO because the exchange rate has been very low, only $ 15. Therefore NEO should be considered in the long term because we can only expect NEO to recover when the market improves.

NEO dropped pretty significantly, more than others and if the market will recover, it has a potential to recover quickly though.
Anyways, it is a good diversification to EOS and ETH.
How can you take that conclusion? Neo has no demand at all and all of the demands have gone and they will never back again to the neo platform. It's worth more than $100 in a few months ago and then it has been dumping again and it will never recover again. NEO can't even defend its place when it's placed on top 10 CMC.
5812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do now on: October 17, 2018, 07:43:23 AM
I think that the most profitable strategy is to walk promising coins with low capitalization and sell on the pump.
Why it must low capitalization coin? So many low capitalization coin but they don't even have any product and can I call that as a good project? they are only pump and dump schemes and I should not try to believe it. Remember about the fact that majority of them died in a few months later. Low marketcap coins have a lot of possibilities to become the next scam coin.
5813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How Far are we from the bull run on: October 17, 2018, 07:37:26 AM
The bull run will come again eventually but there has to be some real world application and mass influx of people to crypto not just as a speculative asset but a real world way to pay for everything. Governments have to sanction it and credit card companies have to support it. If that time comes it could mean a million dollar Bitcoin or whatever currency wins out.

of course crypto isnt only a speculative asset because crypto is already been used by the masses . governments and credit card companies do already supported it but i guess this isnt just the right year for the cryptos to get pumped .

@op we are three more months away from the expected bull run .  yes , 2019 is the suspected comback of cryptos  based on my own analysis .
Where are you from? and it seems like you never watched any crypto news from a long time ago. None of CC companies supported crypto transaction and otherwise they are all banning all of transaction that related to the crypto. Crypto is not yet supported by the governments. Stop spread bullshit about that and take a look on the latest news about that.
5814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep the Ethers in your own bank and earn a percentage on: October 17, 2018, 07:33:23 AM
New project in Ethereum. open source code smart-contract
piggy bank.
Very simple. More hold - more percent.
site: https://piggybank.ga/
As if the very name of the project already pushes bad thoughts. Who would call your bank by that name? Apparently this is a joke, nothing more. Well, it would be possible to somehow tell you what kind of bank it is, what is its advantages.
Piggy Bank, this is epic.

Not only joke but that was a scam one, this service is a very similar as when there was a scam project that offers daily interest. basically this scammer is trying to lure investors to put their money on his wallet and that's it., they can do anything with it just like when CEO of bankera shitscam ico was running away with hundreds of bitcoin.
5815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is a bubble? on: October 16, 2018, 03:02:15 PM
I do not think that cryptocurrency is a bubble. in the next 10 years, it will be accepted massively all over the world and then we will see how you will say that the cryptovalue is a bubble Wink
that's too long.maybe in three or five years again we will see mass adoption and implementation for cryptocurrency in real life and real function.so no more people said it just a bubble.
And that can be applied for those platforms are creating a very useful product to the community and what about those cryptos are not creating anything? Crypto is a bubble and you can't deny that because the crypto market is too volatile dude. I just try to give an opinion based on the fact that already happened.
5816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is happening to Ethereum? on: October 16, 2018, 03:00:45 PM
Ethereum is number 2 based on CMC and also one of the most used utility token in cryptospace, yet it is unable to rise above $230 USD. It would seem that it is waiting for Bitcoin's bull run. Can't it make its own bull run?

Price now favorable low, but should I still buy?

What if the price doesn't go up?

Since Constantinople fork failed and should be expected in 2019, is that hope?
It can't consider about it has a very strong correlation with bitcoin, as far as I know this time ethereum price movement was pegged to the bitcoin and if there was no any pump on bitcoin and that will not give any direct impact to the ether.
But we must build another momentum for ethereum, I thought that ethereum ETF has made it even worst than before.
5817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin do you invest in and do you trust the most? on: October 15, 2018, 11:36:32 AM
I am doing some research on which would be invest in. Which do you think would last for a long time if not forever? Has the possibility of being adopted by public and private entities?
You should consider about all of the projects that tried to created the product based to change or related with our economic system. Majority of project that related to the economic system has a lot of possibility to be adopted by so many people in the future. Not only public but private entities can adopt it and some crypto companies have proven it.
5818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the current situation on the market? on: October 15, 2018, 11:34:33 AM
The situation is different, and causes some excitement, but the good thing is that the market is in motion and will slowly increase and the fact that XRP shows these results which is good. ETF will now be held at the end of the year,so we'll wait.

Is ETF really so important for crypto? I don't think so. In my opinion, the Bitcoin ETF is just a small kan of crypto in the process of growth. It does not determine the future of crypto. The passage of ETF is only a matter of time, and the whole crypto really needs the foundation technological advancement.
It's not really important for crypto because we have US based exchange site and that could replace the ETF existence. Remember it looks so weird always try to think ETF will change anything in the crypto. Basically we can change ourselves. We just need more product to show crypto to the world about its existence right now.
5819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video call for KYC verification on: October 15, 2018, 11:20:23 AM
I think verification using personal documents is enough. no need to do a video call just for KYC, because it's very troublesome. Even now, verification of Kyc with documents is still a lot of complaints.
The document verification can be manipulated. But I will agree if this KYC verification should be applied for the ico team. Use video call as KYC verification will take a lot of time and effort. We have already applied another way for that just like sign a massage on your photo that explained if that is you.
5820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I can do ico marketing ?? any suggestion? on: October 15, 2018, 11:18:25 AM
Follow the Bazaar and always Ask Me Anything for the development team.
Then always think about the success of the ICO and the vision and mission of the ICO must also be different from the others.
Thinking of the success of your ICO is literally going to make you optimistic.

But being optimistic won't help you if the project you are promoting isn't worth it in the eyes and standard of real investors. Having a good marketing doesn't always suit, just be true to the project and make sure that there's really a good team that's working for its use case to make it easier to promote.

Alright, there's someone that has already created a thread about that and this can be included as an example on that thread about how a newbie without any knowledge try to create an ico for money grabber. This guy ddoesn't even know about how to do an ico marketing. It's including on the basic knowledge. This is not worth to be watched.
