5801  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Satowallet disappears with over $1 million in user's funds on: September 28, 2019, 11:28:43 AM
I never heard of Satowallet, but what makes it worst is the CEO is deflecting everything and pointing to Telegram scammers as the real culprit behind the members account losing their money on that exchange. It's weird though, but this is just another expensive lessons to learn again, leaving your money in an exchanges is a no-no, I don't know what much are we going to stress on that.

In any case, this is another black eye for crypto enthusiast and could put crypto in another bad light. But I do hope that the CEO will have the audacity to explain what really happens instead of pointing fingers here and owe everything.

I also read that they blame the hosting service, and those guys hold the keys on the coin? Isn't it strange?
5802  Economy / Economics / Re: How long can you endure? on: September 28, 2019, 11:06:27 AM
It is good to be Optimistic, but sometimes you assume the worst so as to be able to endure the hard time, we have thought the bearish  be over by now, different speculations...with the view of things, the bear persists, there is a lenght to which everyone can persevere in tough time. how long can you endure the bear?
If you have been long enough, I'm sure that this is just another test for investors. People get burned here, get REKT but I'm sure some of this left but majority understands that this is just a challenge because the market is really volatile.

But to be honest, even strong hands here are going to be tested and there will be time that they need to liquidate not because they are afraid, but probably there are more compelling reasons behind for them to sell and wait till the market settles again, and then reinvest.
5803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Believe That It's A Fix on: September 28, 2019, 08:38:39 AM
Ok this actually happens to my friend not so long ago, he is going on a boxing match and he will bet for the heavy favorite, then suddenly an unknown guy whisper to him, that the fight is going to be fixed and he supposedly heard it from the favorite to win, locker room, are you going to listen to that and bet for the underdog.

What's your take?
We're already in the 21th century and I doubt that we still under the 'boxing fix matches' era. If this is the 60's then it's possible that boxing match are fix because of the so called involvement of mafia.

With that said, I won't believed that unknown guy, boxing fans usually don't listen to this kind of whispers because they know the caliber of the fighters involved. And if ever a favorite fighter took a dive just for the sake of making money for him or for some organizations then I'm sure he will be investigate and could be ban for life.
5804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Spence Jr vs Porter on: September 28, 2019, 08:18:17 AM
Weight in, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sw_8hymqUIY

Both fighters hitting 147 lbs. Let's see tomorrow night, I hope you guys already put your bets on and watch for this exciting match. I know most of you is liking Porter's chances here so let us see.
Both fighters looks relax and cool, Porter is just smiling but Spence has some seriousness on his face.

I'm going to go on Porter here, win or lose. I love Spence Jr, however, I wanted Porter to win because he is the underdog. Spence says that he is going to knock out Porter, I very difficult task to do since Porter hasn't been knock out in his career. And it seems that Spence Jr is overlooking him or maybe underestimating Porter and almost talks about the big fight with Manny Pacquaio.
5805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Is the Third-Most Resistant to 51% Attacks, After Bitcoin and Ethereum on: September 28, 2019, 07:43:49 AM
I don't get how this meme coin is more resilient than litecoin.
Maybe litecoin lost power when Bcash was created? Both of them are similar to bitcoin, but "faster".

anyway, this is really good for dogecoin.

Dogecoin is also a lot used in casinos, dice games, and in exchanges and other swap services. It became one of the most solid projects out there... this meme coin!

This is how we can see how many shit coins we have out there...
We would have thought that this meme coin will survived?

Maybe we just take advantage of Dogecoin specially when the price of bitcoin is growing exponentially. It was left out in the closet to collect dust. But then again Dogecoin is well belove and accept n the gambling industry. One of the best options during the massive bull run because it was really quick as compare to Bitcoin or even Litecoin at that time.

Wolf.bet offers Dogecoin for their promotions and faucets are one example how this coin will continue to survived and thanks to its resiliency to this 51% attack, this meme coins will continue to thrive in the next ten years or so.

Dogecoin Is the Third-Most Resistant to 51% Attacks, After Bitcoin and Ethereum

Quote
It costs more to perform a 51% attack on Dogecoin than Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and other proof-of-work cryptocurrencies, according to recent data. Surprisingly, it seems that a meme cryptocurrency boasts better security than some of the leading cryptocurrencies.

Analyst Kevin Rooke posted his findings earlier today on how expensive it is to conduct a 51% attack for one hour. What he found was that such an attack would cost almost $800,000 on Bitcoin and around $100,000 on Ethereum. Dogecoin comes a distant third, closely trailed by Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and ZCash.

https://beincrypto.com/dogecoin-is-the-third-most-resistant-to-51-attacks-after-bitcoin-and-ethereum/

Interesting to see this report, but I'm not sure how they back up their claims. The only thing that hold's Dogecoin is that it is also so resilient as bitcoin is, that's why it stood the test of time.

Or maybe there's no incentive to try a 51% attack on Dogecoin though, because it's not as popular as the other coins in the alts market. And perhaps Dogecoin design (PoW) is very solid from the very beginning.

What do you guys think?
5807  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Curious why are people buying aws credit on: September 27, 2019, 01:04:07 PM
As far as I know, AWS credit is like a promotional code, like a coupon.

So people buying can used it everywhere as long as they honour those codes.

I think majority used it to host their file, because obviously, you can get discounts.

You can read everything here, https://aws.amazon.com/awscredits/

5808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Bullish Move After the Drop on: September 27, 2019, 12:33:53 PM
I guess the only thing we can say is that when the price goes down, obviously in can go on the other direction any time soon. I mean all the coins are in red right now, even bitcoin suffered a huge drop in the last twenty four hours.

So it make sense if you look at the graph that support will either hold and then bounce back or just continue on its downward trend. XRP could be one coin though that has reached its bottom with the recent bloodbath and it's just a matter of time before we can see significant rebound.
5809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 27, 2019, 11:10:22 AM
Which team do you think will win in the coming season NBA finals?

According to the site, https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2019/7/8/20685074/nba-championship-contenders-2020-ranked

They predict "7 NBA championship contenders, ranked" and the lists are:

1. LA Clippers
2. LA Lakers
3. Golden State Warriors
4. Philadelphia 76ers
5. Milwaukee Bucks
6. Utah Jazz
7. Houston Rockets

Do you agree that nets are not part of this ranking, and Rockets being the last in ranking?

The Nets without KD is not a title contender that maybe the reason why analyst did not put the Nets on the list, Kyrie Irving can't do it alone, we have seen that last season with the Celtics.

ROcket's chance is slim and it depends on how Harden and Westbrook would jell. If the output is positive on the first ten games of the Rockets then that list would change, Rockets would be next to the Lakers IMO.
Make sense not to add Nets because we all know that KD is still out with his injuries.

Maybe the one and two position can interchange, Lakers with Lebron and AD on top.

Milwaukee should be number 4 though in my opinion, they still have the reigning MVP and they could definitely improved a lot this year.

Houston still depends on those two, Westbrook and Harden, if they started to blend early, they could be contenders as well.
5810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are are your bet for this year's boxing fight of the year on: September 27, 2019, 10:29:18 AM
For me, it's the Thurman Pacquiao match it lives up to people's expectation, although the fight is not that close but's there are so many dramas headed to the fight, I really thought that it's Thurman who's going to retire Pacquiao, Manny proves many people wrong he still has it.

I also like the Joshua Ruiz fight but the Thurman Pacquiao has so much excitement going to the fight date.
I think Thurman vs Pacquiao will be likely the candidate for fight of the year. Although Pacquiao knock down Thurman in the first round, Thurman takes it to Pacquiao in the middle round but Manny responded as well. And it really live to the hype, specially Thurman's big mouth, totally talking trash to Manny, but in the end, the great Manny Pacquiao proved that he can still pull the trigger.

Maybe the Joshua vs Ruiz could be the upset of the year. If there is such a category.
5811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin cross 3K USD this year? on: September 27, 2019, 10:08:21 AM
It seems to bear market. Should I hold BTC now?
It is possible, we have seen the price plummet from $20k-$3k isn't it?

But currently the price seems to be holding ground at $8k, but we can't discount the possibility that it can go down hard to $3k or even shoot up back to $10k.

Really up to you whether to hold on your BTC right now. No one here has the crystal ball to see what's going to happen in the future. What's your plan though after selling? Or are you a long term investor?
5812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Dropping - Are You Scared? on: September 26, 2019, 02:07:56 PM
Been here since 2016 and I have seen worst than that so obviously I'm not affected by this price drop.

$19k to $3k? Lol in a span of about a year, I guess we really need to understand that crypto market is full of unexpected retracements and corrections before going on another all time high. So brace yourself, maybe this dump is not over yet and the price could go to $7k levels, just saying.
5813  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Forecasts on: September 26, 2019, 12:22:45 PM
BTC getting into oversold territory now, this drop can be the last shake down before the strong rally resumes towards possibly a new ATH,

I would consider 7500-8000ish USD levels during the next 1-2 weeks as opportune places to incrementally add to your BTC positions

(while keeping some reserves intact in case of an unpredictable catastrophic event)...
I agree about the over sold territory specially in the last couple of months. I'm sure everyone notices the pattern is sideways, so it's either a break out could happen anytime or just book orders are getting thiner by the day.

$75---to $8---'sh levels is possible, although trading volume seems to go up, it doesn't mean that investors are still getting back after a flash crash scare. So for those who really have the capital to get inside today, perhaps it's a good decision and then slowly accumulate when the price goes down again in the next one to two weeks.
5814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Years of bear market.. what to expect next on: September 26, 2019, 11:48:17 AM
i don't know what on earth would trigger the bullrun in the alts. i think we have seen enough of this bloodbath there is about 8 month left in the bitcoin next block halving and still market condition is not improving. is there will be any improvement in the alts or they all will die
We can't say what will be the trigger point for alts to make a bull run. The last bull was trigger by the whole ICO hype and a lot of buyers who suddenly jump in and wanted to join the hype. Those are newbies in crypto world and think that they can make easy money out of the market.

But the whole complexion has already change though, most of the alts are dying simply because no more investors has the luxury to pour money because everyone today is losing.

So this bear trend could possibly continue leading to the bitcoin block halving. And then we will see if the positive attitude towards that event will have a domino effect to the alt market next year.
5815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin price recovery on: September 26, 2019, 11:24:56 AM
The title says it all — altcoin price recovery is underway. Personally, i would be satisfied if prices go back to where they were a few days ago, but a rally that would take them higher wouldn't hurt, either.

What are your thoughts and expectations?

https://coinmarketcap.com/
What we are seeing is some sort of balance, I mean we have seen the market suddenly went down in the last two or three days and the only explanation is that the hash power of bitcoin suddenly goes down as well. But as we started to understand what really happen (if could be just FUD) the price show some kind of a rally, ETH could be very well be back in the $200 range again.

However, I wouldn't consider it a bull run though, just a rebound, of course we need to be positive but I don't see anything that can boost the price at this point to push the price higher, let's say ETH to $300. Altcoin market is still in the bearish trend, sad to say.
5816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 26, 2019, 10:26:05 AM
One UFC update:

Yair Rodriguez vs Jeremy Stephens is booked again,
and going to be co-main event on October 18th (UFC Boston)

https://twitter.com/bokamotoESPN/status/1176980017596772366

https://www.mmafighting.com/2019/9/25/20884339/rodriguez-vs-stephens-2-booked-for-ufc-boston

Question though is why the fight is sudden, do Stephens has been cleared by the doctor? Usually it takes at least 180 days based on the article I posted.

Anyways, strike while the iron is hot, and as @bbc.reporter have said, a new story board is made courtesy of the two fighters and Dana is banking on it to milk the controversy while there are still animosity between the two, specially with the race card, Lol, classic move by Dana here.
5817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Spence Jr vs Porter on: September 26, 2019, 10:05:43 AM
Also good to see:

Porter by decision @11.00
Porter by ko @17.00

I think I'll go with the decision, for me it's the best way for him to really win the game by making Errol Spence miss some shots and him going inside and make it a tough game for Errol.

I am gonna take it also, I'm on Porter on that kind of odds.. what site are you using in betting this event?
Can you share it here, just share the link so it would be easy to find it, this line is a complete insult to Porter, even if I have to bet all that odds at let's say 100 usd each, I would still end up winning, $1500 (KO) or $900(decision) if Porter wins.
Sportsbet.io mate.

Yeah, it's really a winnable fight, I mean Porter is not an elite as Spence, but the attitude though is different. Porter doesn't have the easy route that Spence took to became a champion. Porter really digs deeper against Ugas and the Garcia fight to take the belt. So he really excels being the underdog and then show everyone not to write him off.

Waiting for the final weigh-in and wanted to see the face to face and observed who has the upper hand in intimidating the other side.

I wasn't aware of this odds, I check on sportsbet now and it really exist,.. I guess I'm also tempted here, I'm not pulling the trigger yet but I tried the x17 odds with price boost, it results to 18.60, I think I am gonna take this tomorrow, will try to check my available funds if I can spare for this odds.
Thank you for bringing the price boost, I totally forget about it although I bet on sportsbet during the Pacquiao and Thurman fight. 18.60 is really very tempting for me as well.

Same here, need to dig down on my pocket and look for spare funds for this match.

Watch the final conference, and for me, Spence saying Porter is a dirty fighter really put Porter on an advantage here. And Spence talking about adjustment, it means that he is ready for everything that Porter has to give. I mean you can ready at all, but when the fight comes and you didn't expect how dirty or tough Porter is, then we might see an upset here.
5818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra currency basket proportions! on: September 25, 2019, 01:00:34 PM
The Libra currency basket will consist of 50% of US dollars, 18% of euros, 14% of Japanese yen, 11% of British pounds and 7% of Singapore dollars.

What do you think about such proportions?
Why not 100% USD? and no proportions?

I think that now all these details are not important. Now the most important question is whether the libra will exist at all! They have difficulties with regulators and this may prevent the project from creating its own product. will see what will happens
We will have to see about that, but by the current look of the situation, it indicates that a lot of government around the globe doesn't like Libra at all. Because it will take Facebook to the next level of dominating, unless they allow governments to regulate them very carefully so that it won't get out of control in the next two to five years and Facebook become more powerful business entity.
5819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kik Project Enters Crypto Hall Of Shame As Kin Goes To Zero on: September 25, 2019, 12:35:24 PM
If this is indeed true, then I think this news sounds very alarming to the whole crypto-community! I mean, how come a crypto project with a working product suddenly collapsed? Is this a deliberate and concerted act by the core team to hurt their stakeholders? What went wrong? Was this a result of poor management and poor financial planning or an exit scam?

There are so many questions that will be left unanswered and I'm sure there will be legal liabilities on the part of the team! I do hope this will serve as a warning to all of us especially to cyrpto investors - to be more vigilant as much as possible in order to protect our own interests in this industry. Imho.
I think it has something to do with SEC, they have been sued by them and after that, it all went on a downward spiral. So it's not deliberate, but the circumstances that lead to the demise of the product. The article though states the project will still continue despite the negative news.

There is still a legal battle ahead of the team behind, so I'm not sure if bagholders can also sue the project itself. But definitely, crypto investors need to really get out as soon as they hear something like this because it's hard to go against the US SEC.
5820  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Benefits Of Using Trading Signal Services And Tools on: September 25, 2019, 12:11:22 PM
Your post/adverstisement is in the assumption of a trading signal will give a “guaranteed” profit for the users when in fact most of them are just sipping out money from its users. Even the ones who aren't in Telegram groups will milk their users' crypto on their trading signal. Even if the trading signal is of high reputation and is known on having a good ROI I still wouldn't recommend it to traders much more for newbies, it makes then dependent on such tools that they don't really learn anything how to trade on their own. If they rely heavily on it and the bought the position that failed they can only blame themselves for not doing their own background checks.
Very well said, the ads really take everything into another perspective, but at the end of the day we really have to understand that it is a business after all, specially noobs traders who can easily fall for this kind of marketing. It was well explained at the beginning, but we all know that trading signals will just milk money from unsuspecting victims in the crypto sphere.

@DoublerHunter - How can it be beneficial for noobs and not rely on those paid trading signals? Of course they will use it without even looking as to what is the reasoning behind. It is not a guarantee for a success that's for sure.
