Hope you are aware of what a slack channel is all about,all of the tokens and projects have their own slack channel and the idea of a fishing site depends upon which channel you have joined.If you write something be specific about the channel and then we can see whether it is a fishing channel or not. |

If you are looking at numbers,check back the numbers when the price of bitcoin started to increase in 2013 ,from below $100 it jumped to over $1000 in a short period of time ,so do not compare these sort of burst from a short period of time,just image the over all potential of bitcoin and Ethereum, you could clearly understand that the potential of bitcoin is far bigger than any other currency and i am not here to call Ethereum a currency in the first place,  so hope you understand the reality and who has the potential.  |

Why would you take risk putting your coins in an exchange during the split when you have the capability to store in your own wallet and there wont be much hurdle,even with the last split many exchanges were not willing to give the split coin that easy and so i would not dare to store my coins in any online wallet or exchanges at the time of split,sure there will be a split at this fork too. |

@Ehrhc That is a wonderful experience and an experience i have never heard in this forum from anyone,hope this encourages people to dare and travel around the world with just bitcoin and use local bitcoins to get the necessary exchange in fiat for the trip,i would say it is a daring trip with just $100 fiat in your hand,either way well done and thanks for sharing your experience.

There is an ICO ban in South Korea,what i am surprised to see from the recent Chinese ICO ban is that whenever people hear about an ICO ban they come to a conclusion that bitcoin is banned in these places,is it that hard for these people to understand the difference  between an ICO and bitcoin and as usual the market went down on hearing that news and recovered after hearing that Japan has given license to several of its crypto currency exchanges. |

Trade altcoin is not always profitable even if you are experienced people. Sometime we have wrong decision that make us lost of money.
For me, swing trade is better than short trade. Most likely the people did long term than short trade.
If you are really into hardcore trading,you could always make profitable trading if you are careful and if you invest in good coins and especially when the market is down and most of the coins will recover when the market recovers,patience is the real key here and having a knowledge about the coin you are investing and keeping in touch with the development team is also the most important part if you are looking to make a good profit |

Because I think Bitcoin is still way too complicated for average joe and thats why 99% (or a bit less)of the world still dont have a fucking clue about Bitcoin. You could see when the scammer Jordan Belfort (Wolf of Wallstreet) just said "I would never buy bitcoin because it would be so easy to just steal them from my phone" ..... Obviously he didnt get it, and doesnt know nobody can get his bitcoin if its sent to an address that only he got the key of, stored away safely. So even this huge finance guru hasnt got a clue how bitcoin works. Now for the most part of the population its even worse. So I am thinking it needs some huge new products/killer-uses for bitcoin to explode faster.
If you look at the history of bitcoin,the people who started using bitcoin in the beginning were people who understood technology and it is true that it is really difficult for the average joe even now to understand bitcoin fully ,all they know is that it could help in double your profit in a short time but do not have any idea on where to begin,these are the problems i encountered when i started taking classes regarding bitcoin in a meet up. So the 2nd part of the question, lets say there was a new drug that helped everyone live cancer free, disease free, add 20 more years to their lives on average. But the governments would ban this drug for some reason. So it would only be available on the darknet... for Bitcoin... And governments would kind of tolerate this... and the media would be all over it.... Explaining how to buy it....... How much do you think would this mean for bitcoin? Could the market cap double, triple, 50x?
Bitcoin is not the safest way to purchase goods in the darknet, there are other coins for that use,so bitcoin wont be used because of its lack of anonymity. |

Truly interesting topic, I did not know that Satoshi had an account on bitcointalk and even more than he was the creator ... Are we really sure it is indeed him? Forum administrators may have access to payments since the summer posted messages in their statistics? This would break many rumors!
I hope you are not joking here,you being in the forum for a long time and you still did not notice the old posts created by the creator himself and his response to all the queries .  It is good to search all the old posts and you could find some interesting conversations from interesting people in the forum,the individual who is capable of proving himself by signing the genesis block will be Satoshi ,other than that let us bar these speculation as i had enough for a very long time on finding the identity of the creator. |

I think price will not change so much. Dev is working on fix bug. so 2018 will be the years of ETH.
I highly doubt that the price of ETH will rise anytime now,we saw a huge rise in the price in the past months and it was basically because of the free ride of the ICO market which uses ETH as the platform and now most of the countries are banning the free ride of ICO and so we wont see that much of a ride we saw in the past,so $1000 is not possible anytime soon. |

currently bitcoin is very unstable and raises anxiety on all bitcoin users, plus bitcoin bitcoin issues will be destroyed. I always hope for bitcoin to rise again without china.
The entire crypto currency market is really unstable and the risks are real because the market will react to every news and it could impact the market,i wont say that the price of bitcoin is a bubble,if you consider the limited amount of coins the price could price further with more investments flowing into the market. |

IMO, SONM has a solid product and good development team. It is lacking marketing. I believe SONM will come up with good marketing once its product is fully developed. And the price will surely rise.
If the team could deliver the product in the right time frame then we could see some movement in the price,other than that the price is really not moving from the time it hit the market,so this is a long term hold until the team comes up with the good news,if they could list the coin in some major exchanges then we could see some movement,other than that waiting is the only thing you can do. |

Even if the ban is temporary or it,China does not have a major say in the bitcoin market at the moment,the price is recovering really well after all the rumors being spread regarding the ban of ICO and exchanges and the panic selling from novice users and if China's ban was temporary it would be great for the Chinese market and nothing else. |

If you are not aware of coin market cap that ,it is not showing live prices ,so expect changes while you are using that site as a reference,you have the opportunity to finalize your purchase while trading and you could input the price you wanted to purchase the coin,the market moves according to the trends and the problem you occurred is your problem as you might have purchased the coins with the current price rather than inputing any specific value.

Since you are new the crypto currency ,check out coinmarketcap ,there you could check out the coins in existence and will give you an idea what all exchanges are available for that particular token ,i did not understand what you mean by free trading,there were few sites that allows trading without any trading fees in the past but i am not sure about it now as China put an end to that and there is no free money,either invest or earn the hard way. |

This is for real, China and JP Morgan are all jokes they should accept the truth that they cannot overcome bitcoin. I strongly believed that bitcoin value will going to reach $5,000 before this year ends because bitcoin escaped all obstacles for this year. I am glad that i did not sell my bitcoin during these days of bitcoin trials.
The price may reach those figures as you say,but bitcoin did not escape all the obstacles for this year as we are yet to have another fork this November and if that goes really well then all the obstacles are over and then the price will rise by December as usual,the price range at the moment is between $3000 to $4000 and if everything goes well it will reach another all time high by December. |

This will happen in upcoming years when world will be in the hold of bitcoin everyone will be using it and getting blessing from it and it will control the world economy and I wish that day will be soon. And so that I can trade across the world and change my cash money into bitcoin to live an epic life.
First thing you have to understand is that bitcoin is limited and there is not enough coin for the world to get hold of it and the blessings from it You can still trade bitcoin across the world if you know about bitcoin and you can cash out through your local exchanges to fiat if you are not aware of it  . To live an epic life you need to have a couple of hundred bitcoins and i am sure you wont have those. Bitcoin will be a major player in the economy in the near future. |

I am a stock trader and trading in crypto currency as well,the price fluctuation is the major factor between the two,the profit level in crypto currency is immense and the problem is that the market reacts to any rumors and the price goes down without any indication,where as in stock market you know how markets play and we have a reference how the market played out globally in a particular day and so we have a pretty good idea on how the market is going to open as in the crypto market it is open round the clock. When it comes to investment there is nothing safe. |

I totally agree with you, everyone here can only have some predictions about its price. But real world, i mean people, goverments, technical issues, miners etc. will create Bitcoin's price. Now we can only show the advantages of crypo, but the question is, how much are these things worth?
The real value of a product is decided by the people and it is shown by their acceptance ,the white paper of bitcoin was submitted at an apt time when the world did not know how to tackle the recession and for those who could really understand the concept of a real decentralized monetary system became a part from the beginning and the rest is history. |

I just read one article that's about math can help you win at roulette game then i want ask with you all, did you believe math can affect to gambling games? i'm not expert in math so i don't know
If you think that maths could help you win ,then it is good to go as long as you are winning,but in reality it wont help much but if you are good in probability then you might make some calculations and see how it goes but you cannot guarantee than it will help you break the code and keep on winning but you must remember than roulette is random and one result wont affect the odds of other results. |
