5801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: October 21, 2016, 12:01:13 PM
57.6% of the NBA's GMs voted Minnesota as the most improved team in the NBA. Will the Timberwolves being the Most Improved Team be enough to make them a contender in the West or even be enough to make them in to the play off cut? I might say yes as they are a very good team even last year as they have defeated the likes of GSW and OKC with just youth. Now they have Thibs and Dunn hoping too see them win 45+ games this season.
5802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC has too few coins to function as a global currency. on: October 21, 2016, 10:11:14 AM
Yup that is the point exactly I was talking about. 21,000,000 ain't enough too function as a glob currency not unless someone Quadrupled its quantity but doing that will decrease its value that I think it will be like  valued as a regular fiat money. Also I am satisfied on the development of Bitcoin they are currently in.
5803  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: October 21, 2016, 09:49:11 AM
This is a hard question to answer. I suppose Bitcoin can replace money but only for some time. Why? I think Husserl put it very well in his 'Crisis'. He explains there a problem with sciences. After Galileo has shown that it is possible to mathematize natural sciences, and positivists afterwards were establishing criteria of scientific knowledge, saying that Math is the basement of everything (Husserl doesn't recall positivists, though), science started developing really fast. Everything seemed to be fine till The world war 1, after which people stopped believing in science, because of it being to abstract and not being able to explain everyday life and help people deal with their problems. Bitcoin is something like mathematized science. It willwork till something like a war appears in our life and that is when people realize that Bitcoin is pure nothing, to abstract and out of this world, whereas even real money is not that bad, because you can at least touch, feel and smell it.
Bro your answer has gone too far that your djd not answer the question. Its simple  there is little science related to it as currency has timely evolve into something convenient from trading goods to payment of fiat currency. But I can't see our world develop into a more advance than Fiat as accepting virtual currency has its flaws and one of the biggest flaws is the development of crime.
5804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: one sentence to introduce bitcoin to your friends on: October 21, 2016, 09:06:55 AM
Ill just say " Hey want to earn money online and at the same time use it as a currency", just by saying that Ill get the attention I need for them to listen to me well about Bitcoin. All of them  needs to see that bitcoin is something great in the online world. They will see that not only we can earn it online we can even use it to transact with anything who accepts bitcoin.
5805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: October 21, 2016, 04:57:00 AM
Yes I can say that with confidence the bitcoin is gonna do this, I think the first country it will help is Brazil because they already have a lot of accepted stored right now.

There is indeed a chance it will change a lot of poor countries in a better place by boosting their economy with the bitcoin.
Brazil is going to the right direction so I also agree about that.
That is a good example and most countries should follow on that, with bitcoin transaction is fast and cheap and it would be a great help for a country that instead of making the rich more richer, we will be the only one who can get the benefits of our own expenses, the good thing is we can invest as well.
the problem i government won't allow their people to be liberated they wont allow people to use this system because they wont able to control and they can't do corruption if people in their country start to learn about this transaction process im just hoping that with the coming generation leaders that will go to office will be open minded like us.
I don't get the point of local stores accepting bitcoin and helping poor countries. You are missing the most important thing does the people you are referring to have bitcoin to spend them to local stores? Of course not all of them have the favor as the favor of bitcoins are for the stores who accept it. Also in order for it to help poor people in general they must be able to find a sustainable and generous way to earn bitcoin . In that case I will now see that Bitcoin has help poor countries.
5806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: October 21, 2016, 04:25:41 AM
I don't think the government will able be in favor of a cashless world. As having a cashless system Bitcoin perhaps will make certain crimes hard to track as the transactions now are wireless and untraceable. There are certain benefits with it yes but the disadvantages are greater of course a cashless system means every people must have internet and a phone to transact with it, I don't know but I don't think farmers or small businesses will ever adjust to that kind of system.
5807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: October 20, 2016, 11:21:59 AM
Kris Dunn got a lot of praise from the Nba GMs last night as majority of them voted him to win Rookie of the Year. But I don't know why Thibs still don't want to make the Rubio trade and he said Kris is expected to start after 20 games. Dunn might be a good and athletic player in my opinion he is better than Ingram at every aspect. Trading Rubio for a reliable SG moght make Wolves a contender in the West hopefully.
5808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: October 20, 2016, 08:13:41 AM
Why would it be against bitcoin? If storing bitcoin is against bitcoin then they should not have created Bitcoin wallets in thr first place. Also spedning bitcoin is not the only way to promote it. Bitcoin has many purposes aside from spending it. One is it is actually a good investment, buying and holding bitcoin and knowing the price will go up again is a good way to make big profits.
5809  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you like to pay bills using bitcoins while staying at home? on: October 20, 2016, 07:39:16 AM
Yeah the Philippines has that kind of payment offer. I don't know how they do it but the main wallet of the Philippines has an option to use your bitcoin to pay some company's bills but not all of them. Luckily the government is not strict about Bitcoin yet. But the best thing that would happen is many businesses, shops, food stalls accept bitcoin. If that happens I won't be using my real money as I will save it instead.
5810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: October 20, 2016, 06:15:26 AM
Well, gambling is wreck my life but for now i will try to change it, because i'm back to gambling now and so far i have a good result. I hope i can keep the good track until earn 2 bitcoins.

Most of the addicted gamblers like me being wrecked because of gambling and let's make it on a positive way that because of this negative thing happened to us.

So this is going to teach us a lesson that because we have wrecked our lives because of gambling, let's make it to be a positive way of changing our life.

And to make our lives fix because of this disappointment.
I don't think that playing more gambling games can solve what you are dealing right now, if I were the both of you you should have stop right now and accept the losses and that will make you actually nake you sto incurring losses. Also if you don't know how to control on how you play your bets then you will really have a hard time getting back your money from all your bets.
5811  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2016, 04:15:34 AM
maybe i will teach my kids to do faucet like play games with bitcoin reward and i will explain step by step what is bitcoin, how to get it, and what we gonna do with our bitcoin. i think we can teach kid by doing some play but don't teach them for playing gambling.

This is a great idea on how you are going to teach kids with bitcoin and for sure they are going to enjoy that. And make some other competition , so if you are teaching 2-3 kids make some tournament for them whoever is going to have the most claimed faucets and highest satoshi's will be rewarded by you. And that is going to make them learn more about bitcoins and encourage.
The kids you will be teaching on claiming faucets is a bad idea, first off they won't find it entertaining as they will be confused with a lot of ads on the side and pretty much everywhere near the claim button, also the kids would find it hard to accomplish doing the anti-bots before claiming the bitcoin. The end result will be having kids confused about bitcoin and they will just do other things in the internet. Even me when I started I nearly quit because of confusion. It is better not to teach this kids early.
5812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be considered as a Sickness!! on: October 20, 2016, 01:41:02 AM
If you consider gambling a sickness and you want to ban it, then you should think the same for alcohol, cigarettes, even using the internet, everything can potentially be really addictive and damaging, so if you want to ban something because "it's addictive", first think about all the stuff that should be banned for the same reason.

But he didn't even said banning it,
He just said that it is a sickness.

Yeah those things or addicting
things that you had said are bad
but it can only be considered as a sickness
if it makes or contributes to the bad things or effects
in to your life.
He is asking if Gambling can be considered a sickness, there is no relation if it can be a sickness and then banning it later. Also a real sickness cannot be banned as it can spread on its own. Having an addictive thing also has benefits for the government, like in my area there is an extra tax for alcohol and cigarettes. It does not prevent people from drinking and smoking because it is something there body is looking for.
5813  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: October 20, 2016, 01:05:39 AM
Bitcoins right now are not very important to my life anymore because in the past i maked allot of mney with the biutcoin but right now i dont see the price
rise and that cause allot of problems.
Well seeing the price do not rise fast is also a good time to add more bitcoin. If you are like me who is limited in cash it gives me time to add more bitcoin while the price is cheap. Maybe you can try it is worth it you will be happy that you added. More in such a long time and it will pay off big, its a simple way on how to translate bad things into a good thing also I think bitcoin will go back to 1000$ a piece soon.
5814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: October 19, 2016, 03:05:16 PM
Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?

Bitcoin actually, cannot be the key to help the poor countries, why? it is because bitcoin can only help the individual poor member in bitcoin world, unless if the citizens in each country will become a bitcoin enthusiast, probably that's the time can say bitcoin can help the poor country.
You are right about that, we are thankful the Bitcoin is actually helping us earn extra money. But that extra money is not enough for people that are poor, in terms of getting it is easy but will it be enough for them to last a day? I guess not since there are also expenses involve in order to earn bitcoin online. Like electricity, cellphone/desktop, and internet connection all of which is greater than what you can earn online.
5815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: October 19, 2016, 01:34:02 PM
We know that bitcoin is strong and all the wallets have milletry grade security but one of my stupid friend today said that maybe someone can hack it with just a calculater because with math and correct formulas we can even predict gambling bets if that is possible then maybe there is any chance of this

I have encountered my fair share of these type of people around me and in my experience the best answer to these people is "yes, you are right"!

just let them stay in their dream world dreaming about hacking and their super advanced mathematical formulas I bet your friend has to think for 10 minutes to come up with the result of 2+2 Cheesy

I personally don't allow myself to give opinion on the matter, not unless I am fully aware of the range of ECDSA private keys, the secp256k1 elliptic curve and some other stuff regarding creating a private key

maybe you should introduce your friend to google and teach him how to search: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/2847/how-long-would-it-take-a-large-computer-to-crack-a-private-key
I dont think that the bitcoin is really strong becuase lots of people think that the bitcoin is strong but when peopel are really getting much information about the bitcoin they know that he is weak af.
I don't think that Math can co-relate with your bets in gambling. Why? Because even the Casinos provide the statistics and patterns available for you. Everytime you bet the previous bet will be recorded at the board and you will know which has more chances of showing or not. But in the end you still have a chance to lose. Do you think patterns and math can help you? I guess not because even casinos provide it to you.
5816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: October 19, 2016, 10:58:02 AM
Bitcoin is the new Paypal.

And with new innovations come more & better features:
- Tracing your coins in the blockchain
- Pay less fee (up to 99% on large transactions)
- Be anonymous, stay anonymous
- Own your money like a boss, no more paypal withdrawal limits
- More to come, stay tuned!
If you want to use them both that is not a problem because when you use them both you will be the smartest because paypal is for paying things
and bitcoins are for investments!!
Who said Bitcoin is only for Investment? I can't even consider Bitcoin as a mode or any kind of investment. The only thing for Bitcoin to be investment is buying and holding it. If people only think that Bitcoin is for investment it won't even reach its price today. For now it is visible that Bitcoin is not accepted by businesses but the global awareness of it is increasing.
5817  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: October 19, 2016, 06:34:18 AM
Are they not 2 sides of the same coin?  Investing is saving, and saving is investing...
Spending or Saving would be a question...

Investing is saving, Both are same things. Right.
Secondly, Spending or Saving, its mean if you have money and you want to utilize your amount, than you should choice that way, where you spend your amount and making profit monthly. Understand.

I wish it was that way. But when you really care about your money it is a different thing saving money in banks can actually make your your money's buying power low because of Inflation Rate. And Investing your money has a chance to grow but compared to banks the risk of losing money is greater when you are not careful in where you invest your money.
5818  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: October 19, 2016, 06:03:30 AM
I don't know about others but I mainly use them for online remittances as it very convenient and it involves very less fees in compare to banks and other payment methods like WU and credits are instant.
Actually I am also using bitcoin as a form of remittance as I regular send money to my wife in our province, I work in the city and we are far apart but because of bitcoin I can easily send money without a lot of requirements to do so, I can use my exchange site account to send money thru banks.
I don't get it. I don't get why Bitcoin has less transaction fees, can you tell me why? Because I have never been charged by my wallet by sending Bitcoin to other wallet addresses directly. Also the only time they charged me with something is when I convert my money to fiat by way of door-to-door deliver but other than that it is free like bank deposits and cardless atm withdrawals.
5819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can disappear? on: October 19, 2016, 04:38:35 AM
There is a minimal chance that this will happen but of course it could be possible, the bitcoin is already so big that it cannot disappear right away in my eyes.
It would take years to destroy it fully..
And I believe it will not happen soon, we will be enjoying more the benefits of using bitcoin. It is the new digital currency that is going to be useful for the people who love to transact online as it can help them save for the expenses on the fees, so I guess it will not be destroyed or will disappear, unless the government ban this.

Even though  government  would  ban bitcoin there would  be still transaction  underground  which we could really say that bitcoin would  not  disappear anytime soon  as  long  its been  used  by  people.  You are right  there  are  lots of   benefits we could  make  in  bitcoin thats  why  we  cant think as of  now that  it would  disappear.
bitcoin is not going to disappear, as it is becoming more and more stronger as time pass because the number of bitcoin investors is increasing day by day and hope that this trend will continue for a long time.
You don't need to worry about bitcoin being gone as it is impossible. The thing that all of us need to worry about are scams which is all over the internet. The ability to be hosted and have a domain for a cheap price tends to favor the scammers as they can create new fake sites everyday and steal all the bitcoin that was given to them. It is the most possible reason on how your bitcoin will disappear. The only thing to do is to avoid being entice into this kinds of investment.
5820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: October 19, 2016, 01:36:00 AM
If all of the government declared bitcoin into illegal i think it will be the end of the bitcoin and other crypto currencies, it will be difficult to asked the user to hold on because when it is banned in the whole world the value will become 0 and it will be a useless coin
It is simple for the Government to make bitcoin useless, they can come after all the wallets holding Bitcoin. By doing that you cut the source on way you store your bitcoin. Also making Bitcoin not usable anymore not unless they develop a new kind of wallet where storing bitcoin is secure and untraceable. I guessed  that will be the end of bitcoin if that thing happened.
