5821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: August 06, 2015, 04:35:59 PM
The house always wins due to the house advantage.

Theoretically this is correct but this doesnt mean that everyone will lose in the end. The proof of this would be there are alot of winner that won over 100+ BTC in PrimeDice which means that not everyone is losing .
If actually everyone is losing then there will be no one that gamble anymore because success story is what keep people to gamble apart from addiction of course. Everytime that there are someone that post their success story, another could be thinking that they are going to win too  Wink

No strategy is foolproof. Though getting bust is seen as an unlikely event, making thousands of rolls making it very probable.

Correct and that means the best strategy would be quit while you are ahead. Some players also believe in superstition like bet for X period of time and then come back later or tomorrow to bet ( not sure if this actually affect your luck though . superstition anyway )

strategies not work, all about luck for dice  Cool

To begin with, everything is to do with luck but that doesnt mean you could just throw away 1 btc at 2x multiplier and hope for the best though
5822  Economy / Gambling / Re: Quantum Dice - Now Featured on MoneyPot | variable HOUSE EDGE as LOW as 0.01% on: August 06, 2015, 01:44:16 PM
That would be really awesome! I'm sad that I won't be here for the next weeks, but this promotion with 0% house edge will bring you a lot of users Smiley

This 0 % house edge wont really sell unless the site has some user based already which is not for the case right now. Apart from that, the 0 % house edge means no commission for both Moneypot and developers thus this means not a good news for the investor as well. Not really saying that the player could be winning with the 0 % edge anyway

Another site is currently having 0 % house edge at the moment and it seems to be having a huge jump of the number of people rolling on the site but that doesnt mean all these players will stay once it is over

nice idea but how would that look like in real? ty

As per the usual dice game but without any house edge that means you will be able to select 00.00-49.99 as the low option and 50.00-99.99 as the high option at 2x multiplier that means exactly 50 % chance to win
5823  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io Bitcoin Casino ★VIP★15% Affiliate Bonus PLINKO|DICE|HORSE RACING on: August 06, 2015, 12:03:33 PM
The site appears to have been offline for the last 44m. I get time outs most of the time connecting, and when I can (rarely) it shows the last rolls from anyone being 44m ago.

The last roll was 32 minutes ago ( the time that I wrote this ) . The other apps in MoneyPot is working fine without any issue and it seems to be a slight issue on BetterBets end. For those wondering and PMed me regarding funds issue, you can be relax and dont be paranoid about that because everything is fine and your funds is secured. I have withdrawed and deposited back mine without any issue  Smiley
It could be something with the hosting providers because I got a connection timed out when trying to reconnect. Apart from that , nothing is wrong though I have contacted lobos regarding this and it should be back up in few minutes

EDIT : it is up again
5824  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pachinko - Highly Addictive Bitcoin Game |NEW Promo Board by ndnhc|1% house edge on: August 06, 2015, 11:58:38 AM
I'm just wondering how can someone hack on-chain gambling site? Isn't it much more safersecure than just normal off-chain?

Security in an on-chain games is pretty much no different than an off-chain game. depending on each site, some off-chain game could be actually much more secure than an on-chain. The significant different would be that an on-chain game hold no player's fund therefore if something happened then only the owner is in risk however in an off-chain game the risks are double on both the owner and players because the site keeps the players fund

This is really weird, the only method I know to "hack" on-chain site is double spend.

There isnt anything much to speculate on because given the less information regarding this incident however once the site is up on Monday the owner could give a full details explanation about this incident ( or he will not )
5825  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] user quetzalcoatll scammed me on: August 06, 2015, 11:01:51 AM
what do you want to say now? if he is totolino then I am the lier and cheater?

You are being delusional, I am merely asking which one is totolino and that is all. I have no seat on this fight and Im not planning to. Cant we just back to a very civilized society where everyone has no ill thoughts? this is becoming more and more like the wild west. This is actually funny to see someone accuse me of something weird when Im just asking for a legit question

and I really don't care if he will post any game idea because all games are already invented

If there is no harm to the ongoing project then you could post the skype conversation so everyone can judge who is "guilty" on this . At this moment there will be no conclusion if both party remain silent without any proof but only pointing fingers to each another.
This thread is in scam accusations section which means that you need to actually provide proof to show that the other party is guilty. Simply provide your proof to show that he is the liar and ask for a refund or else contact his company to solve this thing

but thanks for your opinion

No problem , your are welcome
5826  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] user quetzalcoatll scammed me on: August 06, 2015, 10:25:23 AM
This is design that he sent to me: http://www.dodaj.rs/f/1A/Bf/28lb4Spz/elm1.png

That is funny because the image shows some header from Jackpotracer but with different game (references below ) and Is that the same totolino in MoneyPot ?

References : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1110445.0 ; https://www.moneypot.com/users/totolino

I received this PM now from this thief
http://screencast.com/t/BRQv0QVh

The screencap clearly shows that he accused you of lying and he said that he got a proof that he had asked you to find another developer (references below ) . While on the other hand you insisted that he is the one lying about this thing and have the proof of him lying, that lead to two different story and there is no way to judge this if neither one of you provide a proof for your claim.

However providing the skype conversation as well as the other proof will means that you are leaking an idea about your ongoing project that could resulted in someone stealing it. Instead of providing this then I would suggest to make a contact through the company to solve this in a good manner rather than pointing guns to each another's head and  risking the project

I already send him project source code (before 7-10 days) because I don't have time to finish project and he will find other developer to finish this task, he can confirm that or I will publish here bitbucket link, it's a private repository, but I can change that.

On a side note, which one of you is totolino? I knew totolino from MoneyPot though he is a fine man
5827  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: August 06, 2015, 10:02:52 AM
I wish the most prominent bitcoin gambling website owner was more out there with people talking chatting

Given the fact that there is an abundant of unsolved support request , it would actually tell people that Stunna has no time for it. If he would have alot of extra time to do so then probably there wont be any complaint regarding the support service. Plus that once Stunna shows up in chat, there will be alot of fuss "begging" him for some free coins thus only generate extra workload for the mods
On a side note that since MICRO has stated that PrimeDice is working on a casino, that could be another reason why Stunna hasnt been around for some time which could probably be catching up some schedule

just like doog did when he used bitcoins rather then the new thing

AFAIK dooglus is still doing so but it is just less frequent when JD was on its prime
5828  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: August 05, 2015, 10:38:55 PM
you want to say that there arent trustworthy people on this forum who could make some work for a decent amount of money? i believe there are though he doesnt want to employ them

Trust issue is a matter of each individual perspective just because someone got alot of green trust and famous around here that doesnt mean that they are trusted to everyone. On a side note, even with huge positive rating doesnt mean you are shady or could not conduct any fraud / malicious intention in the future ( Im generally pointing my finger to Maidak if you dont know what I mean )
I could name few people in this forum that I deem trustworthy according to me however that doesnt mean that they are trustworthy to Stunna. Again, the email issue is pretty sensitive cases for some people, for me I would not want to be spammed or people to know my personal email .
5829  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: August 05, 2015, 10:31:49 PM
Or savings are only if you hold the money in fiat?

Saving does not mean literally means saving in FIAT as there are alot of other form that can be use as a saving

Does holding money in Gold and or Bitcoin become an investment or is considered saving? This is actually a good question.

It actually depends on how you are seeing this because holding in either BTC or gold is viewed as an investment for most people while on the other hand it could serve as saving as well.
If you actually "dont care" about the value of it and just want to save your FIAT in another form for security precautions then you are actually "saving" but if you actually care about the price and value of it and wanting to get more than what you put in on the first place then you are actually seeing this as an investment  ( this is what most people do )
5830  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: August 05, 2015, 10:31:39 PM
If bitcoin could go to $100/btc, then I think its be hard for bitcoin to reach $300 back

There is tons of scenario regarding this however one of the most possible scenario when BTC hit $100 will be that there will be alot of people jumping the ship and proclaim that BTC is dead , which in most scenarios had happened before. This will then be followed as alot more sell pressure that keep on driving the price to ground floor .
Worst possible thing after that would be sell pressure will keep ongoing until the rage and fuss stopped and the best scenario would be that someone / the chinese ASIC manufacturer would put up a huge buy wall to prevent it from going deeper as that may only hurt their business ( part of my speculation which you can check from the previous pages ) , this is unlikely to happen but still possible to happen

which it will be same situation like when its price was $1000, but went down to $300 and never reach that price again.

The bolded part should be added with "yet" , things might change in the future as everything keeps going better and better
5831  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: August 05, 2015, 10:11:36 PM
Plus if you check exchange order book there is still a long list of buy order waiting to grab bitcoin.

This is just another common mistakes on labelling if BTC is dead or not. Logically , BTC is a virtual code and cant actually be labelled as "dead" . Some people actually keep saying that it is dead whenever the price of it crashed , thats another mistakes as well because generally speaking eventhough if in the future BTC is dirt cheap, the value of it will never be "dead" . An example of the value would be its top notch security as you will be able to secure your money in form BTC

It seems you are not aware that BTC was created as a "currency" and that means it cant actually be "dead" because it stand on its own as a currency and not something that has a value of USD / euro . 1 BTC stays as 1 BTC even if the price is dirt cheap
5832  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: August 05, 2015, 10:08:49 PM
well he has a lot of money why cant he hire more people to solve the spamming people and solve the whole issue with the support times? thats strange for me

Hiring a person to be a staff of the support service is never an issue for Stunna , in fact with his profit from PrimeDice he could hire tons of people but hiring a trustworthy person to do it is an issue for him. Hiring some random people will just resulted that some sensitive data from the players will be leaked , example of it would be email address and I believe no one wants their personal email to be spammed with
He valued his players privacy especially email address and therefore he would not let anyone check on the email except him and Edward ( and perhaps some other ), this is the reason that support service is very slow. Plus that MICRO claimed that over 80 % of mail that they got would be just a troll mail (references below )

Some ?? Smiley If by some you mean 80%+ than yeah Cheesy .

5833  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blackmailed by Bitcointalk member on: August 05, 2015, 06:00:36 PM
-snip-
He's thread is still open and it's destroying my sales. :/

Don't know why he's not banned yet,

EDIT: Just got this message from him.. http://prntscr.com/8175xj

Thats clearly a blackmail but there is nothing to be done here. He is clearly not violating any forum rules by giving away a free method ( if that actually works ) but if you deemed that he trolled you in your thread then you can get his post removed by reporting it to the mods ( references below ). An account that got his post constantly deleted at some point will resulted in a bann however that is a small chances that the account will be banned

3. No trolling.

EDIT : reported to mods, his "free" thread should belong in games and rounds
5834  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blackmailed by Bitcointalk member on: August 05, 2015, 05:18:51 PM
When he was posting misleading information about my product.

To be honest , I dont see anything misleading that apart from a negative trusted account claimed to know your method and will spread if for free unless you pay him which is clearly a blackmail.
You can use a self moderated thread to prevent this user from spamming your sales thread and apart from that I see no reason on why you would believe a words from a "possibly hacked account" because his trust rating has clearly indicates that the user cant be trusted

I think this member should be IP banned from BCT, if it is a hacked account admin can block he's IP so he don't have access.

If it is actually a hacked account then the original owner could restore it by sending a signed message to theymos. Apart from that, if no one claim that account then there is no restriction of what that person could do with a hacked account, moreover admins dont IP bann someone just because he hacked an account ( IP is pretty easy to "change" anyway )
5835  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io Bitcoin Casino ★VIP★15% Affiliate Bonus PLINKO|DICE|HORSE RACING on: August 05, 2015, 04:13:34 PM
I'm currently doing a research on what are the best gambling and sportsbook sites.
I'll definitely try this one out!

It truly depends on what your criteria for the "best" sites as there are several criteria which dependant to each user's choice, if you are seeking for a beautiful design and a fast sites then you are on the right place. However this could be not the criteria that someone is looking for. Nevertheless , BetterBets will always be better and you are welcome to put in some critics or suggestion for the better good

I PMed someone that was seeking for the "best" sites as well yesterday but he told me that he is looking from the angle of profit and I lead him here http://dicesites.com/ to compare all the BTC gambling dice sites in term of PROFIT/EV . You could actually see that BetterBets is listed as #6 in http://dicesites.com as well Smiley
5836  Economy / Gambling / Re: How could you find Investors/Funders for gambling website? on: August 05, 2015, 01:58:03 PM
After I get a good dice website that could make me decent money I will get one website with play money without putting too much budget into it and I will get that working well , if it finds enough attraction I will turn it into bitcoin and use some budget for it.

This is pretty weird, why would you start with a play money if you can keep on using moneypot's API for it ? Besides you as a developer are risk-free and you can keep on getting profit as long as there are someone that wager on your site assuming that your idea is genuine and it attracts alot bettor.
As for the bolded part, the competition for the dice site around here is pretty hard with all these old site around here so unless you could create something that is "awesome" then it will be pretty hard to jump in the market

and who told you to checkout moneypot?

Thought it was you?

Its illegal to accept investments without proper approval from the SEC.

To be honest over 90 % of the gambling site around here is illegal to begin with and moreover even BTC is illegal in some country so that wont matter anyway.
5837  Economy / Gambling / Re: Prcdice closed the investment feature on: August 05, 2015, 12:08:14 PM
But taking 0.25% of wagered is certainly not the same as taking 25% of profit.

Essentially, it nullifies the risk of the owner, and dumps that on the investors. That is, if someone wins big, the owner still gets his portion but from the investors.

Well he made a good point assuming you are seeing it from a "very long term" because in the end the profit of the site will be just as big as the house edge ( this is theoretically ) so it is correct to assume it is the same however it is not literally the same thing
I would assume that Dean has big stash of investment as well in PRC so using this method will allow him to get more assuming that some high roller wager alot and lost .

The same difference that about "fee" and "house edge" . Those are theoretically the same although it is a slight difference that collecting fee from the winning amount is only for a PvP game thus this means getting risk-free profit from the player instead of house edge for a player vs house game which isnt risk-free at all
5838  Economy / Gambling / Re: Prcdice closed the investment feature on: August 05, 2015, 11:57:56 AM
other sites usually takes 10 % comission of the profit
-snip- (but he's taking it risk-free on wagered, which is way better than only taking it on house profits)

Theoretically they are but Im just merely correcting nikona's statement as the other sites are not merely taking 0.1 % of the wagered amount but 10 % of the profit as commission. Most of the other sites dont take risk-free profit so There's abit difference in it and that makes it not the same therefore I corrected it . Anyway what Dean uses is still better than some site that even take cut of their faucet / promotions from the net profit

Yes , other sites take 10% of the profits but that also equates to 0.1% of the wagered

Theoretically the same but not the same mechanism , as per stated taking from the wagered amount is kinda like risk-free

0.25% is equivalent to taking more than 10% of the profits at times.

equivalent to 25 % of the profit
5839  Economy / Gambling / Re: Prcdice closed the investment feature on: August 05, 2015, 10:17:45 AM
imo its no longer profitable for him

It is still profitable for him . He takes 0.25 % of the wagered amount and not to mention he probably has some stash of his own BTC invested on the site as well.
If the investor is still profitable then so does he. The reason of this could be that he is either thinking of "getting more profit" ( he even want to bankroll the new swisssoft game by himself ) or either wanting to prove to a potential buyer that the site could surivive even without crowdfunded bankroll because he insisted on it

the expenses involve in running the website and the man hrs that he worked

Expenses will always be there and it cant be avoided

charges on the wagered amount 0.1% on other sites

other sites usually takes 10 % comission of the profit
5840  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: August 05, 2015, 09:06:41 AM
more importantly he don't want to share the profit with other investors.

Not true at all, I read this once on Bustabit's chatbox that he will be planning to put up investment feature in the future as the reasoning behind this would be that he rather wants to get little profit by risking a bit of his BTC rather than getting all of it by risking a whole lot BTC ( another person that read this could confirm this as well )

he personally bankrolls BAB, not MP

He got 100 BTC in Moneypot to help it serve the needs of the high roller but will take it out once Moneypot manage to get more investment from public

That's why I said "would be a nice inclusion to moneypot", because it isn't there.

https://www.moneypot.com/apps

It wont be possible for now. I've had conversation with Ryan before regarding this and bustabit is a non atomic game and the current moneypot's API will only serve for the atomic game ( 1 click - get - result game ). However he intended to make an API for non atomic game as well but there is no statement yet regarding if he will bring in bustabit to moneypot once the API is ready
