5821  Other / Meta / Re: Report Comment Field on: April 12, 2015, 01:36:54 PM
I find abusive comments and just write "Abusive comment" in my report as there is no more explanation to give but when I find something not making sense, I don't get what explanation to give and just write "an off topic/spam post". May be I should now give detailed reports as few of my reports have been already marked bad.

Usually that would be enough, but you have to remember what is spam or an 'abusive comment' or post that doesn't make sense to you might make sense or be completely valid to others.

My avatar has changed from a Hobbit to a Phoenix. Smiley

Should I change it back? You will be able to recognise me, right?  Grin

I can adapt, just dont change it every other week or do if you want, but I think keeping an avatar for a long time is more beneficial. It helps to recognize a certain account/person. Its only natural that after the introduction there is a phase where people try out different avatars.

I'm not really fussed about having an avatar but am thinking of offering it for potential purchase long term as I don't want to be changing it every month and would rather have something unique I can easily be associated with.
5823  Other / Meta / Re: A simple question "Is it against the forum rules make "double posting" ? on: April 12, 2015, 12:39:28 PM
It's not really necessary to be honest. I'm not really buying the whole length thing. I often quote many people I want to reply to in one post. Why would you need to double post? The only way I can see it being valid is if a thread hasn't been replied to and you need to bump it for whatever reason.

die you cheater

I've reported you to a moderator.
Next time learn how to play.

'Insults' or this sort of behaviour won't be removed so you'll get a bad report for doing so.
5825  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 12:10:09 PM
As for if I started an avatar campaign: I'd think of other ways than having every member wear the same avatar. That would be plain annoying, boring and people would get confused. Currently, the best option is something like mine.

Well that certainly would be more preferable and would probably be the best solution. Can't see many other campaigns doing it but maybe its the best way to do it if you have to utilise avatars at all.
5826  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 11:22:33 AM
One important point, as said in my above post, many are voting yes, simply taking into consideration that if found annoying it can be turned off. If a large majority of the active members of the community turns it off or blocks it, avatar campaigns won't be efficient anymore.

You can say that about signatures. Many already block them but the campaigns do fine. You also wont be able to tell how many users have them blocked or not but I think the vast majority of people will keep them on like they probably do with signatures.
5827  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 11:07:46 AM
Yes, it would be good to see an Avatar Campaign but at the same time it isn't so good to see advertising in every part of this forum  Undecided

You already see it in every part of the forum via both ads and signatures.
5828  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 11:06:41 AM
Anyone can disable avatar right ?
Well this forum ..gonna not be same again just like early years

How is it any different than disabling sigs? If someone disables avatars or sigs it doesn't effect how you see the forum.

Yes you are right but as I said previously there will not be a problem if the "promotional ad" go to the left or right side of the avatar. Everyone will keep his personal avatar and no one will be wrong to identify the user (remember there is always the username).

Having an additional image advert edited onto the avatar won't be very effective from an advertisers point of view nor do I think it will become popular. I just think marco wanted to keep his current avatar as that's the one he was known by whilst promoting Bit-x. Maybe he will change it in the future though.
5829  Other / Meta / Re: I had a post deleted, any help is appreciated, thanks on: April 12, 2015, 10:53:24 AM
I can see now why it was probably deleted. Why not wait till you have info ready before you post it? It's pointless spam in that form. And why do you need that thread restoring exactly when there's nothing there? Just create a new one when the information is ready to go live.
5830  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 10:51:28 AM
I agree they're good for identifying people but I wouldn't really find it annoying. For those with the same avatars you would just zone out on them and go back to the old way of identifying users by their names. Maybe being able to ignore certain users's avatars like I suggested would be good for those who are annoyed by them.

Looking forward to this game.
5832  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 10:46:28 AM
Why would you need one? You can see other's that have them. Would you find them annoying if multiple people have the same avatar (if you can envisage)?

Multiple having same avatars is annoying to me. If enrollee's can put like Marco does, it will be okay.

But what about signatures? Many find the same signatures annoying. There are options to turn either or both off. Maybe my suggestion about being able to block individual sigs and avatars will get implemented also.

5833  Economy / Services / Re: DaDice Signature Campaign - 'Da' BEST Yet | HIGHEST RATES! | JOIN THE FUN! on: April 12, 2015, 10:40:00 AM
The option we got is to have the same avatar for all participants like the other avatar campaign is doing.

If we did that, many would simply use adblock or simply disable the Avatar option..

The question is simple:
Would you like to see the same logo again and again?
I am sure many will be simply annoyed by it. Only the participants will be happy. If we take the interest of the whole community, I think it is a no.

You can apply this very same logic to signatures.
5834  Other / New forum software / Re: New rank? on: April 12, 2015, 10:37:26 AM
Can I suggest an opposite thing (related with the ranks). Why not decrease the activity when an user been banned (for spam reason) this should improve the quality of all the posts and I am sure the users will put more attention in what they write here (in the forum). That was just my personal opinion and I don't think it is necessary to add a new rank, but I am still supporting the color for each rank.

It should be good idea. What if the ban was for PM spam? Does this still apply or only for "substantial posts"?

P.S. Admins should tell about this in the ban notice or else, we will have to see many threads in Meta.

I don't think this is a good idea. Activity would only really matter much to signature advertisers and from what I gather some sort of signature bans that can be dished out to individually users as a punishment were being looked into by BadBear and theymos.

5836  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 10:32:45 AM
Where is the middle 'not bothered' option? Also hard to say whether you would find it annoying or not when there isn't really any avatar campaigns yet (or at least not any that will make an impact), but I'm sure those who find signatures annoying will feel the same about this.
5837  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion/Questions regarding 'Auctions' child-board! on: April 12, 2015, 10:30:20 AM
If it's moved out of there then it's no longer an auction and any bids would probably just become invalid, but some people move them from there to Digital Goods or whatever once they see there's no interest giving it's a less popular sub.
5838  Economy / Services / Re: DaDice Signature Campaign - 'Da' BEST Yet | HIGHEST RATES! | JOIN THE FUN! on: April 12, 2015, 10:19:55 AM
Well, as long as the Avatar campaign rate is considerably lower than the signature space, considering that the image is not clickable, I would say it is not a very good idea to advertise even there.

Yes, participants are free to choose whether they want it or not. In that case, we have already purchased their space (consider the rates inclusive Grin), but are offering it to upload any image they like as long as it does not conflict with the signature the participants are wearing. Smiley

I would like a cleaner forum (20*3+1 = 61 ads per page  Shocked), and I will simply block if I see more than say 5 people wearing the same avatar in the same thread. If Avatar is advertised, and becomes too intrusive, signatures will lose their importance and sig campaigns won't be effcient anymore.

As long as there is not much competition, I will expect the rates to be lower enough not to compete with signature rates. Wink

Just my opinion. Smiley Cheesy

Billboards and TV adverts aren't clickable but they're still very effective. You can also use the Personal Text and weblink which are directly below the avatar. And why would signature campaigns lose their importance? They'll exist and run together most likely.
5839  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BIT-X.com | Bitcoin Debit Card | Spend Your Bitcoins Anywhere! on: April 12, 2015, 10:16:22 AM
True, but with all the fees etc it just doesn't seem convenient to use in my opinion and would be easier just selling coins for cash or a regular topped-up debit card when needed. I'd have no problems with owning or using a card if there wasn't the inactivity fees but wouldn't be worth the hassle for me. It'd be nice to have in my wallet to use if needed but I personally wouldn't use it that often so isn't really viable for those types of users.
5840  Other / New forum software / Re: New rank? on: April 12, 2015, 10:11:26 AM
After a while they will become more common though and eventually everyone who is active will likely become Legendary so new ranks should be added over time.
