On a side note, when I can buy a 2011 Suzuki GSXR 750cc or a Tesla Roadster with bitcoins, you better believe that person is going to get their bitcoins. You will , but by then you will be buying in satoshis not bitcoins.... Bitcoin has obvious values and everyhing, but I really wish people would stop pretending it's magic. |

I had some experiences with custom forums
First one on EVE Online: they deploy it. Tons of bugs, missing things and epic security bugs. You could do html inject via sign (no i'm not joking). They remove it after some days and deploy it months later, and still we don't like it
Later on Eurogamer: that forum is a joke, random bugs on tons of things, deleting account system don't work, ignore button was released only months later (but, it was possible to have ppl in ignore despite that... and no way to remove them then...), bug with adding images and text or video and text. Sure, they fixed some bugs, but remember that it took them months to make the forum and probably a lot of THOUSANDS of $
I dunno what the ppl of this forum want to do with making a "custom forum", i dunno why they don't want to use vbulletin or phpbb or something else, but so far the initiative makes no sense at all.
Funny fact: i frequent some amateur vbulletin or phpbb forums for my online groups&games&co, they costed almost nothing and work perfectly and have all features.
Frankly I kind of like what they did over at somethingawful. Free base code, secure and functional extended top layer. |

I had some experience with "custom forum"... bugs everywhere, let alone security. I know this is hard for you or anyone else who has already 'made up their mind about [me]' to understand, but when I first saw this thread I wanted to say "I am so sorry for your loss". Do you know why I didn't? Because I also immediately thought about what a good scam this would be.

No offense, but a house burned down down the street and I was able to walk in it, talk with the owners, etc. I could have taken a hundred pics of it, myself, etc if I felt like it. Why is this enough to get bitcoins on a forum? Is everyone here braindead?

Personally Im sorry to hear about the fire, the pictures alone are enough proof for me, because if you take the time to look at what is being taken, its obvious the OWNER is taking the photos and not a random dipshit like matthew taking pictures of the local arson fires he sets for his scrapbook I may act random, but I'm not really random. If I was truly random I would not be able to sustain this human form. Also, when you're done dragging your knuckles read the point of the post again and you'll see that it has merit. Just because you're gullible doesn't mean anyone else has to be. for what it's worth, when i first read the thread i immediately ran the images through tineye and found 0 matches. hehe, i said 'matches'. The pictures are one offs, for many reasons I wont go into.. Its obvious.. Sure, we have to keep our paranoid tinfoil hats on most of the time, but sometimes, the benefit of the doubt is required.. Matthew, grow a heart first, then wear tinfoil hat second..
