5822  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling Potential Hero Member on: September 18, 2019, 09:22:12 AM
Is this like a shortcut for merit?
No. Its very likely a scam.

Personally, I would not allow this to be permitted and would punish any attempt of selling account with a ban/temp-ban.
The forum accounts get sold to scam people and other shady activities. Best to ignore these threads.

is this within the legal frame work of bitcointalk.org?

shouldn't it be illegal or something ?
Attempting to buy an account would get your account a negative trust. The administration does not take any step to prevent it so the DT members have to put that mark to warn others.
5823  Economy / Services / Re: Need Signature Designer urgently on: September 18, 2019, 07:35:21 AM
If anyone interested drop your telegram username and price 🙏💪
The only people who would spam your PM would be pajeet bottomfeeders. If you want a proper signature designer spend some time in this thread and contact them individually:

Overview of Bitcointalk Designers(Signature,Avatar, etc) Last Update: 08-Sep-2019

Be aware that the people in this forum prefer to go for a signature campaign that is being managed by a reputed manager and prepared by a reputed designer so those are obvious brownie points for your project. Hire one of the pajjets who is begging you to give the job in PM and you will face problems.
Good luck with your project!
5824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 18, 2019, 07:03:28 AM
People should start questioning motifs of people more than blindly reading everything on the internet.

The sources quoted by the OP are questionable and biased opinions by people who have their own propaganda against gambling. If you are fed by this propaganda be happy with it and dont gamble but for those who are gamblers they are fully aware of what they use to gamble with and it is their own personal choice to gamble or not.

Truely sometimes addiction makes people do wrong things and get money from wrong sources. But there is no need to comment on that because they chose to go to the wrong side of the world instead of stopping their desire to gamble.
5825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a fan of Celebrity tokens? on: September 18, 2019, 06:59:02 AM
Tokens promoted and marketed by celebs had become popular with the ICO rise in 2017. But I am surprised to see people take their words for granted. These celebs are nothing but similar to mercenaries who will promote your project for money at the cost and use of their popularity without even thinking how badly the project could go wrong.

Have you all forgotten the Centra scam and the association of Floyd Mayweather? Then McAfee and its idiotic propositions? Its strange that new traders entering the market dont take a look into these wrongly managed projects which ended up being a disaster for their investors and still ask the same question. They get paid to promote as simple as that. They are least bothered about blockchain and the future of bitcoin.
5826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FIRST TIME OF HEARING THE WORLD BOUNTY! on: September 18, 2019, 06:50:59 AM
Few weeks ago I found my self in this technological medium And I have been on the newbies section not knowing there are several sections here on the forum. Coming here I find one word very common which is Bounty it will a pleasure if someone will highlight what its all about it importance and benefits !!!
But the biggest catch in it that
1. Payments from a bounty campaign depend on the rank that you have on forum. For gaining your higher ranks you need to have the Activity score, and earn merits for that rank. Getting activity is time dependent but getting Merits is fully your own luck.
2. Payments will vary as much as from nothing to a lot. This is because the project needs to raise money to be able to pay its participants. If the project fails then its your loss of time and work. You will get nothing.
3. Loads of scam projects run out there promote their scam trough greedy bounty hunters who dont even check basic things about the project they are promoting. Dont be one of them. Run a thorough check on the team and their project to the best of your knowledge and then only participate.

The better way to earn some coins in this forum is the bitcoin signature campaigns. You should work on your account posting quality first, to become eligible for them.

Please dont make a topic title with all caps. It looks horrible.
5827  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Parodium an alt of the redtagged onnz423? on: September 17, 2019, 03:15:18 PM
Another Bitcointalk unpaid detective lol, go get a  job or something
Not sure why you are being toxic here at the attempts of other forum members clarifying information among themselves.
Are you jealous of their skills or just in the mood for some plain passive aggressive commenting?

I see no reason for you to post like this, if you are unhappy about your account getting tagged then I am sorry so say that you have to live with that tag and thus lose your credibility and reputation in this forum. It will hurt and it is supposed to make you hurt. Wink
5828  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 200-400usd loan in btc on: September 17, 2019, 02:51:21 PM
True.  I got a PM from him asking what kind of collateral he should use - I just deleted the PM (why I let newbies PM me I'll never know)
Not to mention he has two threads open here. Link to the other one - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5184706.msg52458275#msg52458275

I guess these kids know how to get a diverse attention from lenders by posting in both Lending and Long Term Offers. Quite like the scams that comes up in Marketplace sections and Services. These morons never run out of stories to make. They should take up the job of storytelling. Grin
5829  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: NEED ADVISE PLS on: September 17, 2019, 09:23:02 AM
But I'm not a tech guy which is why I need advise from experience user of the forum what are the basic step I need to do to achieve my dream and to avoid being scam.
I believe you mean what methods to prevent "being scammed".

1. Make sure you use a proper hardware wallet. Ledger Nano, Keepkey are good options for that. Check it yourself what suits you. Store your coins there and you wont have to keep storing private keys anywhere else.
2. Never send coins to anyone whom you talk to in the internet. Scammers are everywhere trying to use confidence tricks to lure you into sending them money first. They may even tempt you to give them say 0.01 BTC and promise a return of 10 BTC. Seems tempting? Its actually a scam to steal your 0.01 BTC.
3. If you use Telegram make sure to keep your Settings with privacy setting to the maximum. Scammers are rampant in Telegram these days.
4. Do NOT trust anybody on the internet, not even in this forum. < Paranoid but its true if you want to keep your money safe.

Last but not the least good luck on you sports prediction aggregator site. Make sure you set up referral links to get traffic and some passive income!
If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I will try to answer as far as my knowledge goes.
5830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: September 17, 2019, 09:16:01 AM
I have never experienced winning in gambling in large numbers. Usually I always play a small amount, because I'm always afraid when playing with a large amount. Not that I do not want to win big, because we know for yourself that the risk of playing gambling must be huge too
Of course everyone wants to win big but very few people actually win big. That is the also the effect of why the casinos are a flourishing business and gambling is most of the times a loss for the player. A player will go to the casino with the thought of winning big, nobody want to go and lose, but the expectation does not turn into reality.

Risk may be huge but there are big winners who cashed out their big win and never gambled again - its rare, because an addicted gambler will deposit again and lose that money.
5831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How crypto exchanges secure our funds? on: September 17, 2019, 09:12:34 AM
Exchanges apply several methods to secure customers funds. They would keep a hot wallet and a cold storage to seperate funds to be used for everyday liquidity and for funds needs in emergency. The hot wallet would again be topped up everyday and this would depend on how much trading happens. Then they internal wallet system to keep every users funds. These are again secured from the users end by a KYC and 2FA. Data here gets encrypted to prevent leak in case of hack and a difference in gapping between the front end and back end.

A lot of technical stuff that is there though. Does not necessarily mean that Changeally is the best of them all. Use whatever you feel is suitable for you.
5832  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much do you think Bitcoin.com is worth, what price would Roger sell? on: September 17, 2019, 09:07:13 AM
I don’t see Ver selling bitcoin.com unless bcash is no more, or Ver decides to get back into bitcoin.
Logically a person who holds the dotcom domain name of the biggest cryptocurrency in the world would not sell it unless they fall into some dire situation and become needy of financial support readily. I am sure RVer does not happen to go into such a crisis. After all every altcoin people create is a money making method for them only and not the traders of that coin. However lack of logic and reasoning is pretty high in RVer's mindset and the way he approaches to anybody regarding a criticism does make people think that he is mentally unstable on different levels.

Hence it be very much possible that the domain gets out on auction and its price would be huge, you cant even start to imagine that.
5833  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 200-400usd loan in btc on: September 16, 2019, 12:48:14 PM
And your collateral is what exactly?
Dont expect to get a reply from a drive by loan request, like Vod has clearly said in some of his posts. Newbie coming to the forum and casually asking for free money is not new in this forum. Wink

OP needs to get a kick on his bum to shake him back to reality where dreams of getting rich from stealing other people's money is false.
5834  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4 Key Similarities to Previous Bull Market Corrections on: September 16, 2019, 09:14:19 AM
There should be this assurance by now that no one can claim to know where Bitcoin price is headed to. The best we can do is mere speculation because nothing is certain here. There is this forecast that Bitcoin will hit $16,000 by October but I am taking that with a pinch of salt.
See, one thing is for sure. That is in future bitcoin price will become big way more than 10k USD what it is now. This is due the deflationary supply of the currency. With passage of time the demand for bitcoin will increase but the supply will stop at a fixed time and the total number of bitcoin would be fixed. The rise of price in 2017 Q4 was due to the BCH fork making people accumulate BTC combined with the Bitfinex Tether pump to sell their bitcoins. Very less chances of such events repeating now. So sudden spike of huge price rise wont happen.

Gradual growth is organic and shows actual acceptance. Whether it is due to some new development or countries allowing crypto it will definitely boost the price.

5835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Overall winning - Dice on: September 16, 2019, 09:11:09 AM
Yes the one who is managing to have good game and good web site to gamble. For good success you will be able to gain profit never give up on low cost profit but with passage of time it will increase experience and good mentality to play matters allot. I have seen people getting milliner with gambling.
Your posts are incoherent. Are you using a translator to post? I cant make out a thing of what you are trying to say.

Honestly speaking the overall winning on any EV- game is negative. That is why it is called a game with negative expected value. You will never be able to make it positive if you keep on playing more and more. The casino is the winner in the long term. This is because the casino has a house edge over the player and the more you play the more the odds are struck against you.

If you really want to make profit, become an affiliate marketer or start your own casino. Grin
5836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Digital Currency can Activate Someone's Financial Freedom? on: September 16, 2019, 09:06:17 AM
Everyone do understand what centralization is, and even when you see people keying in to some of those centralized coin that is being released, they do because they wanted to explore the opportunity that is available in them , but they never take those coin as the real coin that would give them that freedom of their finances.
It is their nature to take that risk though so these coins propagate a lot. Many shitcoins are born just because they are promoted by some venture capitalists like Btrash by RVer and CraigFraudstar. Its not about them but also the exchanges like Binance which allow a centralized system to trade. Again Dex are not that secure, but they need more awareness.

Quote
When it comes to income generation, people are ready to take any system provided it bring money, but what bitcoin uses to supersede them is that anonymity that money of these centralized system are willing to give in to, because it will never benefit them, but bitcoin can easily do that because it is not interested in the profit but what it can do for the user, and this is why decentralized coin like bitcoin will always be the lead.
Bitcoin is not completely anonymous, its pseudo-anonymous. Thats why people are paranoid about using mixers and tumblers, though I feel that as long as you are not doing anything that is illegal and thus pose risk, they are no need for any sort of mixing for your coins. Bitcoin is though the only coin they need to keep. Rest other out there are nothing but money making schemes for others, not you.
5837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did i make or lose money on this trade? on: September 16, 2019, 09:01:27 AM
You've been an active participant in a pump-and-dump scheme Smiley Congrats!
Not necessarily and you way of thinking is wrong. People think they can get rich by riding the pump and dump wave but in reality it is an illusion. People who talk about such groups are actually brain washed into thinking so. The only people making money from such groups is the owner of that group. They create fake buzz and pump coins making their group members buy them while they sell their coins and get a good profit in return. Moreover they make money from paid memberships. Its all in all a scam and a pretty dirty one full of smoke and mirrors.

However if you are day trading on your own then you might get lucky to join the wave in which case you can profit by selling at a set point and then buying back again at low price.
5838  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Eth To BTC Exchange on: September 15, 2019, 07:59:27 AM
In addition to exchanges, you can also use, for example, this https://changelly.com
You havent heard of their KYC forcing on users now? Even shapeshift has been doing that and nobody is liking them anymore on the contrary of how popular they were a few years back.

To be honest, no type of exchange is completely secure. But if you know any exchange that allows your local currency then that would be what you should use. The forum's Currency Exchange section is good place to get trades but compared to the number of actual traders, scammers lurk there much more in number. So use a trusted escrow like others have said and never send first to any person on the internet, however tempting the offer might be.
5839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to buy copper membership? on: September 15, 2019, 07:37:01 AM
You should look around the forum to get to know it better. I know its tough for a new user but there are a few tabs under the profile name in the top: Go to More> Buy a copper membership (More button is just left of the Logout button)

Do it yourself, I wont post the link here because I prefer people to do some searching themselves than being spoon fed.

BTW, welcome to the forum.
5840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: September 15, 2019, 07:34:19 AM
The surveys are usually right if those surveyed end up coming out to vote. I guess the surveys can be wrong if the losing side in survey succeeds in persuading many of his/her fans to vote... This is probably why the surveys are important to politicians and their supporters.
Yeah but what importance does it have to gamblers? You are not given the information publicly or even if you are given by that time the betting time is over. You can talk about an exitpoll but that too the bookies are aware of and they will end betting much before the real election starts. So I would say its more of a speculation and luck based. Its is definitely possible that your supported member wins but the opposite is also possible.

This is why people should avoid betting on events. Its same as EV- games.
