5821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: April 07, 2021, 02:10:01 PM
crypto users who became rich, and then bought some gold to diversify their wealth. Like I said, I don't know anyone who sold gold for crypto.
Same here; I am one of such people who sold crypto for the reason of buying gold because as per our culture we value gold more which lead me to buy gold time to time not just for the reason of investments but to have as a social symbol/status. Our family members are happy when they are buying and wearing gold rather than what they are usually watching BTC prices in their wallet. I mean they are not bothering about the growing rate of bitcoin but they just look at the happiness when they are wearing gold.

I'm not ready to agree that crypto people need to invest into gold for the reason of the diversification. Because when you're holding bitcoin definitely we do not need any diversification as any other asset is producing good ROI compared to what bitcoin is doing as per last 10 years. Probably after some decades, crypto people might need to think about diversification.

There you go. I mean, I personally think it's good to diversify and if I did have a lot more crypto, I would definitely be putting some of it into gold or something else like government pensions. Not most of it but some of it. Crypto is great and I believe it has a future, especially Bitcoin (or only BTC) but maybe in my short decades on earth I should play it safe.
5822  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low could the next bear market move bitcoin? on: April 07, 2021, 12:53:37 PM
I'd love for this to be the case as well, I'm still trying to accumulate more bitcoin. But lots of charts and graphs are saying we're near, if not already mid way through the top this time. But I pray you're correct. I'd actually love it to be a gradual ride up and maybe sit there without too much downside but..... I think that's just hopium.

Well I really hope I'm right and they're all wrong the charts but yes, I think we all have to be prepared in any case that this is really it for now. I think the "problem" is too much is going into defi and when that things falls apart then we will either see BTC strengthen and regular alts the same or everything comes down again like post ICO times. Who knows? We wait. And hopium.
5823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic IV on: April 07, 2021, 12:03:46 PM
Panic will be a lesson for them and over time they will think the long term is the right choice to get more satisfying benefits, and usually panic often occurs in beginners.
I never panic because I always do it in the long run, and there is no denying that everyone has different circumstances, and there are also those who expect quick returns with reasons to meet their needs.

Well I have to say though, if you don't panic now, you panic later. Better to just get it out of your system once and for all. Arrange for a purge, lost money and then you can look back and truly say: well looks like I learnt my lesson;)

Thing about all these mistakes in trading, and crypto. You don't experience it, you never get it.
5824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Square, Fidelity, Coinbase start cryptocurrency lobbying group on: April 07, 2021, 10:52:20 AM
It's likely a net positive, but don't forget that they are not "cryptocurrency enthusiasts" - they care about themselves and would gladly support any regulation that benefits them, even if it's bad for users, like for example regulations that concern privacy. But the good thing is, they will be defending Bitcoin from getting banned, if there will ever be such a threat, and that could mean a lot.

Good reminder. These are not enthusiasts and they are in no way blockchain and crypto supporters anymore than a speculator is not a user. They are interested in it because they have financial interests in it and they need their money, and they don't want anything to endanger it. Great for them, they don't care about the actual users and how it affects them.
5825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: April 07, 2021, 09:59:35 AM
Yes but more practice meaning he needs more capital for trading thats why what he needs is to control his emotion and  not to become greedy while he is only on learning stage of trading. Trade small amount and dont allow your trading capital turned to zero, put in your mind that what you need is to learn not to earn.

No he doesn't. You don't need capital at all to trade. You just do it with virtual accounts if you really want a lot of "capital" to spread around.

Although I do agree that trading with actual money is very different from trading with virtual accounts. The emotions are different, so is the pressure.

But I definitely urge anyone who wants to trade to open a practice account first available on many crypto brokers.
5826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: April 07, 2021, 07:53:00 AM
OP, thanks again for the responses.

Well, they can call Bitcoin whatever they want, and yes the whitepaper of Bitcoin only says p2p cash but let's all be honest and admit it's the only one truly actually decentralizing finance. I am not a defi hater of course not but I think defi now is only for rich people (who can stake a lot of money and afford high gas fees) and not helping the unfinanced as it was supposed to. It really needs to fix that for it to work:)
5827  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sports - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: April 07, 2021, 07:20:20 AM
Justice refund wow guys pretty cool of you to do that, never seen a bookie do that to be honest, I mean the match was final at full time with the City win, but you're totally right. Dortmund deserved the draw for the way they totally matched City mostly. Could have even won it if they were a bit luckier!
5828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 07, 2021, 05:58:17 AM
I was impressed with Vinicius Jr this guy is very talented he was always tormenting the defense line of Liverpool he combines well with Benzima. In the absence of Madrid experienced duo of  Varane and Ramos in the defense the likes of Salah and mane couldn't do much.
Liverpool has a big task to qualify for the next round with two goals deficit, things can change in Anfield but I doubt if Madrid will easily surrender.

He was always talented even before the game. You're young and you play for Real Madrid and start the game against Liverpool? You've got to be something:) But yes, kudos to him. I watched the highlights and saw one good show of Benzema but then the rest he sort of disappeared so Vinicius really took all the chances he got.

Madrid wins this next leg too I'm sure.
5829  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: April 06, 2021, 01:56:17 PM
IT really is the only way to do this! I never ever ever deposit anything more than I know I can afford to lose. Not for crypto anyway. I made the mistake many times before with fiat casinos where you can use credit card (so dangerous because the interest piles up).

Which is why I love crypto. To get it and deposit more you have to BUY more first and that extra step helps me to stop:)

You used credit cards for gambling? Which means you definitely would have taken loans too, right? But I'm happy that you didn't go out of your boundaries and gambled because many gamblers lose their patience after losing their bankroll or part of it but you are an inspiration to those who say that they can't control themselves while trying to recover their losses. I'm also thankful to Stake for giving loads of games available on their platform giving us multiple goosebumps whenever we play there. Wink

It was the only way most fiat casinos can accept your funds if you are in some countries. They have like 40 payment types but none available in my country. And they also have bank transfers but that's super slow. Credit or debit cards were the easiest because they were instant and online and you never needed to worry. But that was in the past. Many years ago.

Now it's crypto, even better, and no credit so no risk of dangerous loans.
5830  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 06, 2021, 01:04:32 PM
Assume that there are 100 users in the lottery and each of them has 10 tickets.
User A owns ticket numbers from 1 to 10. User B owns ticket numbers from 11 to 20, and so on. Every week freebitco publish a list in their twitter to let all users know ticket numbers they own.

Let's say the first ticket picked is ticket number 5. The user A wins the first prize. If the second ticket number is between 1 and 10, that's discarded and calculations are done again.

You can click on "This lottery is provably fair" in "lottery" section and read the full explanation.

Thanks for the explanation! I am pretty sure I'd read it before but I don't recall this full explanation where tickets are discarded if a person who owns them already wins a prize, but maybe I wasn't thinking of all these scenarios before:)

Glad to know that if I can win, it's always going to be the bigger prize. One day... one day...
5831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: April 06, 2021, 11:50:21 AM
Lol,
Not shortening posts. They might get longer.

These are DeFi because they will be used in the Token ecosystem to support DeFi, and DeFi will go back into this. Plus, DeFi is getting into earnings.

POL Token, TRX, etc, it is mostly about earning Tokens, etc. TRC20 and ERC20 are the center of DeFi. So what has to come next now is real world use, not just Crypto exchanges.

Phew! Thank you for the super long but thorough information, I guess I don't mind the length of these posts for as long as there are thoughtful explanations;)

I still don't really see these things are more DeFi than Bitcoin (the true decentralized finance implementation to me) but okay, I get it, if DeFi in this case just means getting into earnings then fine, but as you yourself point out, what comes next is REAL world use (again why I say Bitcoin is the true implementation) not just people doing things on pancake and uni.
5832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run is over? on: April 06, 2021, 11:06:56 AM
Natalim my friend, you are being mistaken with the old days but now the trend is being set by new market makers, institutions who have snatched away everything out of the hands of retailers. The sales are taking place because retailers are unloading their btc but the institutions are so hungry they are eating all the bites they get from retailers. It is not going to be bearish any sooner.

New market makers indeed I see are the ones just tearing up the space. When we see them become safer to use though, is when they will truly be powerful. Right now people say it's ease of use and gas fees but I believe a lot of people like me are staying away from it because we fear the poor security in most of the contracts:)
5833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best websites for finding ICO on: April 06, 2021, 09:51:24 AM
Absolutely agree. Regular ICO are dead in its mass already. Those projects who run public ICOs, either are scam, or fight for their live while trying to get at least softcap. Big projects usually raise all the funds their need from early or private investors and there is never a place during sales for a regular guy. As well as the minimum amount to invest in a project is far beyond what regular investors plan to invest.

Or they already have private funding and just want to test the waters to see if there would be any retail interest (but who wants to buy tokens at full price knowing private people had 50% discounts, right?). Even all those pooled investment companies now see very few interest from retail. IDO is the way now but even that won't last long.
5834  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low could the next bear market move bitcoin? on: April 06, 2021, 09:16:30 AM
I'm really hoping the market doesn't rally at the top right now, I really really want this to be slower and reach the top in earliest 5 or 6 months. I am kind of enjoying this as I didn't really enjoy 2017 and would just want a few more months of this. Right guys? October is the earliest I'd want the top to come. But I hope 2022 is when it happens. Too hopeful?
5835  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: April 06, 2021, 07:54:54 AM
Let me ask you a question (and it's a question for all other members), how many gold holders you know?
I don't have gold, so I don't have what to sell... but I would sell that gold a long time ago for buying Bitcoin or some other crypto, and I guess many people here would do the same (some did it I guess). Here on forum, we are a special kind of people, we found a way (ways) to earn, and because of that we don't sell our material possessions for crypto (gold, cars, houses...)... but again we have some examples from people who did that, and they maximized their profits in crypto to the roof!
Everything comes down to what you believe in more... I am for crypto 100%, and I assume many others here feel the same! So if some gold appears I will sell it right away, without a second thought!

Personally, I only know of my own aunties and grandaunties who all hold physical gold. They literally go out every few years to buy a small amount of gold to stash. But online, I know of many more people who apparently buy physical gold online because they got wealthy from crypto. So these are actually, as I said, crypto users who became rich, and then bought some gold to diversify their wealth. Like I said, I don't know anyone who sold gold for crypto.
5836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ballet CEO Bobby Lee Announces New Book on: April 06, 2021, 07:22:29 AM
Did a quick look up on him actually and had no idea that he is the brother of Charlie Lee Litecoin founder, who I used to really follow a lot not because he was an influencer or anything like that but because he had as MK says a half decent brain which I guess both brothers seem to have in common:)

Read about the ballet crypto wallet and hmm yes, it really doesn't sound safe. Even they admit on the website it could have possibility of rogue employee finding out about the private keys though!
5837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Price Prediction on: April 06, 2021, 05:45:33 AM
I think Dogecoin will explode again in 2022 and is not only used as a tip like before, but can actually be used for payments on a large scale,
Dogecoin may start trading at $ 5.5 during 2022. If DOGE manages to catch marketers' attention it could go up to $7. It might end 2022 at a trading price of $ 12.
I really hope that it can happening, let's hope and wait until it happen.

Nah, it's still used as tips even today the same as I have seen for the past four years in gambling areas. Casinos are always where you see DOGE tipped and rained. As much as I love it, have yet to see anyone actually ask for payment in DOGE (except in casinos as usual).

$12 per coin in 2022? I wouldn't mind but let's not get carried away:)
5838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 06, 2021, 05:09:51 AM
Wasn't able to watch the game last night so am super thankful to wake up and read the news to see we managed that super slim win. And stats show it wasn't a walk in the park either. 3 points after 90 minutes of frustration, so this was a huge huge win for us. Only 3 points separate the top 3 from each other and now no team has any game in hand. Incredible!
5839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: April 05, 2021, 04:02:31 PM
Hey and welcome to Bitcoin! I actually have never really heard of anyone going from gold to crypto, usually it's the other way around. Not that anyone puts ALL their crypto into gold but I know a lot of crypto people who also further diversify into precious metals with their newfound crypto riches:) Welcome again!
5840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best websites for finding ICO on: April 05, 2021, 02:38:20 PM
^ But with all the IDOs now coming up and ICOs now raising almost nothing I don't think even it's worth looking at ICOs any more.

All the different new DEXes are the ones to go for. Sushi or Uni especially is where all the new token projects are launching their stuff as liquidity pools that you simply swap from to get their tokens:)
