- Slots may still be given to those who were put on the "not accepted" list.
There are 3 types of not-accepted applicants: - Not accepted at the first round of investigation
- Not accepted at the second round of investigation
- Not accepted at the final round of investigation - that results in 3 new participants last week.
I am the one was not accepted at the first round, so I don't want to keep my hope as high with the annoucement. So if my request is not annoying, please help me know that are there chances for applicants who was not accepted at the first round of investigation last week? Thank you.

As a source, I think it would make sense to have a negative smerit balance until the next cycle.
How about the threshold of borrowable sMerits? But even there is threshold for it, I don't think it is a good approach. First, I could be wrong, but from my perspective and my understandings on how merit system works and the active operations of merit sources, sometimes good posters have to wait for days, weeks, or longer to see sMerits rewarded to their good posts. If a post is a good one, it might be missed today, next weeks, but at the end, someone will see it and merit it. I know, merit sources don't have time to scan around the forum, to find good posts and merit them immediately. If they don't merit good posts instantly, they might forget because lack of bookmarking. It will cause some kind of unfairness for good posters with some of their good posts (not all, definitely). Another disavantage of the suggestion is the ability to self-control meriting behaviours from merit sources who want to borrow sMerits before their smerit pool refilled. Naturally, when more sources are available, it will somewhat result in more easily meriting activities. That is what we have witnessed so far. Before the increases of 30-days smerit pool to all merit sources, some sources usually give away 1 sMerit to 1 good post, but now they easily to give away 2 or 4 sMerits to 1 good post. I don't say it is wrong but if the smerit pool increases 4 times, they will send 4-fold amount of sMerits to the same post, or different post with same level of post quality. In the long run, it will reduce the level of post-quality of merited posts, IMO. I meant, one year ago, a good poster has to make more than 100 good posts and need at least 100 of those good ones to be merited with at least 1 merit per post to earn 100 merits. Now, they have to make around 50 good posts or 60 ones, and will be rewarded 100 merits, with 1 or 2 merits per post. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) The last one is good postes have to practice for their patience. They need to be as patient as possible, and focussing on their post quality, and contributions, patience will help them in the long journey.

I was invited to join the forum by my colleague, who invested in bitcoin one year before me. He taught me basics about bitcoin, and told me that the forum is a best place to learn about bitcoin. After that, I created the account on November 08, 2017, 06:22:57 AM. And for the early months on the forum, I simply read. About 2 months later, merit appeared in the forum, and I was a old-era newbie when merit system began in 2018. What happened after that is my history (see below table). It took me ~ 14 months to become a Full Member ( on 21 Jan 2019). One year and 3 days later, I have 1212 merits that I would have never epxected in 2019, on the day I was a Full member. The last month, more than 200 merits came to me. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Ranks | Time-required (old system) | Between ranks | My spent period (since reg. day) | My time between ranks | ___________________ | _____________________________ | ___________________ | _________________________________ | __________________________ | Full Member | 4.5 months | n/a | ~ 13 months | n/a | Senior Member | 8.5 months | 4 months | ~ 16 months | ~ 3 months | Hero Member | 15.6 months | ~7 months | ~ 19.5 months | ~ 3.5 months |
I earned my 600 th merits on 9 th September 2019. I earned my 700 th merits on 2 nd October 2019. I earned my 1000 th merits on 21 th December 2019.

The idea to have different versions of signature for languages is great but it is unnecessary in my opinion. The most important reason is there are very very limited texts are presented by signatures (I don't think I am wrong at this point).
Additionally, texts present by signature are very simple, and basic. Even if viewers don't understand (that I doubt they do understand) they will easily get supports from google translators or dictionary. Once again, I don't think if a person know how to use the Internet and joins the forum, s(he) does not know how to use available translators over the Internet.
Technically, the forum can create such self-auto modifications, but I don't think it is a must thing to do.
Anyway, OP raised a good suggestion.

Avg 6 months = 1,87 posts per day
1.87 posts per day is a lower one compared to the figure for the whole history (2.1 posts per day if I did not counted it incorrectly months ago); in percent, it is 11% lower. I agreed with your approach but I am not going to this because I don't have details data available. Anyway, thank you, DdmrDdmr. A bit off topic: If one inactive place turns into more active or very active, it sheds the light on something interesting or suspected behind the scene. What happened with the forum in last 3 months of 2017 is a good example. Come fast, go fast or just come to abuse the system (at least they feel they can).

Thanks for the detailed break up. Could you please update your table with latest data? Also, how many posts per day local subs do get now-a-days?
Sorry, I am not going to this because subboards for other languages are mostly inactive, as you see from stats. You can check it yourself by click on the thread of your interest subboard, and see the total post at the end, then couting the total days (from beginning - OP in first page till the end - last post in the last page). It is easy to calculate average sum of posts per day.

Very active, I don't think so. From stats I have, that thread has about 2 posts per day, in average. That is too low to require for a specific local board. I had a query here Copper member is for paid accounts right? Even for paid accounts need to get merits?
After buying the Copper membership, you have an option to wear that title or not. It is a title, not a rank, so you will still need to earn merits to rank up. Once you have it, you get the choice: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FuE22CHZ.png&t=663&c=_pN7WLRGbo-chQ) Fortunately, being a Copper Member will give your some bonuses ( nearly as same as Member rank), but they might be ended at anytime theymos changes rules. The copper memebership might not last forever. See at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote. By popular demand, newbies can now pay to have some of their restrictions lifted. If you pay the fee, you become a Copper Member, and you can post images. That's the main point of this: allowing newbies to post images. Additionally (and these might change depending on how things go), Copper Members currently have these bonuses:
- Some of the same permissions as Member-rank members, such as reduced signature styling restrictions. (But none of the PM-related restrictions are currently lifted, such as the style limit or per-hour PM limit.) - Your "you must wait ____ seconds between ___" counter is reduced by 75%. So if you're naturally of Newbie rank, you only have to wait 360-75% = 90 seconds.
Having rights to post images is good but you should use the rights relevantly does not equal that you should include images in each of your post. Images, if being used irrelevantly, will become annoying.

I'll try those. I'm on Windows 7. I don't see any disk errors.
Reindex seems to be running.
Sometimes, suddenly power-lost will result in that corrupt issue when you restart your computer. Did it what really happen with your computer before that fatal error occured with your wallet?

there is nothing to be surprised about. when you copy something you are copying everything including address formats. and that's just the tip of the iceberg because blockchair only has 2 of these altcoins otherwise you would have seen about 50 different addresses from 50 different copies of bitcoin.
Thank you for your reminder. Initially, I forgot to add that important information in OP. Now we have it. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) There are abundant coins with Bitcoin as prefix or suffix in their coin-names. Here is results from Coinmarketcap's Search tool.

A new moderator for German board is detected. It seems this moderator has given that role very recently. Reminder:- Checking name of coin, ticker and read warning when you create receiving address.
- Checking prefix of coin address because in some cases, it can help you to differentiate coins.
- Asking for confirmations on receiving addresses from receivers, if you doubt that they give you addresses on wrong chains before sending funds
- Being as careful as possible, double- or tripple-check, and make win-win transactions on right chains !
Moving funds from one account to the others is the first lesson newbies have to learn and start their lives in crypto. Bitcoin is the King of crypto so moving bitcoin is a mandatory lesson to learn. If you have already read news, articles on "Losing funds (bitcoin) after sending its to wrong address, or to address of another coin", it is good because you will know how serious that mistake is. If you have not yet read anything like this, now let's read my thread. To understand how serious that mistake is, I invite you to read these 2 threads: The excellent answer from @DannyHamilton It means if receivers (your friends, relative, whoever) or the exchanges (have role as receivers) don't have control on your private keys or don't want to use private key (of receiving address) to do technical steps and credits mistakenly-sent coins back to you, you lose your money. All platforms have warnings when you create deposit addresses. I don't highlight words in these images, you have to read them to improve your carefulness and patience. PoloniexBinanceHuobi ProBittrexBitMexEven you are receivers, you have to read these warnings before finishing your works. Because if the mistake belongs to your side (as receivers who give wrong address on wrong blockchains), it's unacceptable to request senders taking that loses and resend another fund to you. As a receiver, what to read and check? - Name of coin: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, etc. Being very careful with any coin that have Bitcoin as prefix.
- Ticker: BTC, BCH, BTCSV, etc.
As a sender, what to do? - Name of coin: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, etc. Being very careful with any coin that have Bitcoin as prefix.
- Ticker: BTC, BCH, BTCSV, etc.
- Checking prefix of receiving address. You might have clue to differentiate between different coins.
Double-check or tripple-check will help you staying away from unexpected problems with transactions from and to wrong blockchains. There are abundant coins with Bitcoin as prefix or suffix in their coin-names. Here is results from Coinmarketcap's Search tool.
For altcoins, being careful for some coins which have requirements to give correct address and MEMO (or other alternatives) to have valid transactions. If you give incorrect details for one of them or both, you will lose your money.
