I notice you're not tagging these accounts?
5843  Economy / Reputation / Re: KWH is no longer on this forum on: February 15, 2019, 03:38:41 AM
KWH posted lots of useful trust ratings, which is why I included him. Not sure what to do now. I wish he was more specific about his departure, i.e. whether his account has been compromised, in which case he should be excluded.
As long as his account isn't compromised, he can stay on DT2. If one of his ratings is proven to be wrong, that might be the moment to consider excluding him.

Perhaps LoyceV could make list of his negative feedback's which has only single tag.
I'm not really in favour of centralizing trust ratings instead of just leaving the original tags visible.

One? Just one?

I didn't have much in the way of interaction with KWH, but had he been on my DT list, I wouldn't be removing him.  Might just add him to my list.

I wouldn't go putting much weight into anonymous online mods...

Three separate online articles by stuff.co.nz state categorically that the Cryptopia CEO has said that he was told by Police not to say anything and has also stated he will not say anything.

5850  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: February 13, 2019, 10:30:09 PM
My posts are being deleted by unnamed "mods" including ones that I am posting concerning Cryptopia, so I'm not sure how long it will be before this one is also deleted.

As we know articles have been floating around the internet stating that the New Zealand Police have stated there is nothing to prevent Cryptopia from reopening now that they have concluded their main investigations at Cryptopia's head office.

As at this date and time 14/02/2019 11:24 AM NZDST (00:24 GMT +/- 0) Cryptopia's website is *still* showing nothing except: http://archive.fo/i2BjM

So they aren't in any hurry to re-open (if at all) and, as three online articles by stuff.co.nz have now stated Cryptopia's sole director is saying nothing we can only presume they won't be opening today, this week and probably not this month.

just on two weeks ago I commented in a post that hillariousandco has at least two confirmed alts.

(previously I also posted that s/he had taunted me in a PM that their main alt was quickseller)

in the two weeks since I made that comment multiple random posts dating back three years have been deleted by mods without explanation every other day.

That's not including the seven from qs' thread we are discussing here.

Overnight, this was deleted from the thread I started Cryptopia - ONLINE ARTICLES related to hack & theft of funds 2019 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5097916.0

Police skills in doubt over Cryptopia probe into missing $23m

https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/110387805/cryptopia-director-says-technicians-are-helping-police-track-stolen-23m / (Archive)

Chris Hutching16:34, Feb 05 2019

Quote
An expert in corporate law is questioning whether police have the skills to resolve the $23 million theft from Christchurch-based Cryptopia.

Auckland University associate professor of commercial law, Alex Sims, said information about the investigation had not been handled well and regulatory authorities were "struggling" to deal with cyber theft.

"No one seems to have a clue what's going on. But this hasn't come out of the blue. There has been a lot of dialogue in recent years about the security of cryptocurrency and where to store the digital wallets.

"Cryptocurrency is a legitimate business. It's not a scam. But our regulators are really struggling compared with the US, Japan and European countries which have set up secure custodial services," Sims said.

Cryptopia had held investors' digital wallets, when they should have been held by the investors or with a safe custodial service, and any money kept in trust by the exchange, she said.

Sims said cryptocurrency and the underlying blockchain technology was here to stay.

"It would be like someone in 1900 saying we should outlaw cars because someone got run over. If you outlawed New Zealand cryptocurrency exchanges people will just use overseas exchanges."

She made the comment as Cryptopia's sole Christchurch-based director Pete Dawson apologised for his silence because of the risk to the police investigation.

"Our team is giving police technical assistance and their advice to is maintain radio silence in case we inadvertently say something that might interrupt their investigation," Dawson said.

Dawson said the overseas reports had misinterpreted further transfers of some of the stolen cryptocurrencies, which can be traced through different trading exchanges.

Other overseas reports said police had said Cryptopia could be operating again this month, but an official police spokesperson said there had not been any indication of when it might re-start business.

A New York-based analyst, Max Galka of Elementus, said the thieves been busy liquidating the stolen tokens by converting them into other cryptocurrencies via an international exchange called Etherdelta.

Another Christchurch exchange called BitPrime recently assured stakeholders them it did not hold or manage customer funds.

"Holding customer funds increases the risk, which can turn out disastrously," BitPrime chief executive Ross Carter-Brown said.

"Our own cryptocurrency reserves are held by an institutional custodian in cold storage, with US$100 million worth of insurance coverage.

"If you use a centralised exchange, ensure you withdraw all of your funds to your own wallets as soon as possible. If the coins are not in a wallet that you control the private keys for, in effect, then they're not really your coins."

Another Kiwi exchange called Vimba gave similar advice.

"When you keep crypto on an exchange you don't actually have ownership of those coins. We highly recommend you to move it into a personal wallet that you control."

Ross Carter-Brown said investors would be unable to claim all tax losses losses because until their digital coins were cashed up they could be classed as income.

He has also written about what may happen when cryptocurrency investors die.

"Traditionally, gaining access to a bank account is relatively straightforward after a family member passes. In the case of Bitcoin, it is much more complicated as there are wallets, passphrases and security boundaries.

"If your family isn't aware of the existence of your crypto holdings, it will be lost forever. Keep your wallet passphrase somewhere secure like a deposit box or a locked safe and provide instructions on how to get to it in your will."

It was somewhat recently (~3 weeks ago) brought to my attention that Vod made an implied death threat against me via the following post:

Quote from: Vod on August 21, 2016, 06:17:11 AM
I think Quickseller really should kill himself.

It was later clarified by Vod that this post was not a joke

Quote from: Vod on August 21, 2016, 08:36:48 PM
I really wish the guy would kill himself already

This statement is fairly clearly an implied threat, and is most likely illegal in Canada.

While these kinds of implied threats are very clearly very wrong, especially when unprovoked, I believe the community as a whole should very strongly condemn this kind of behavior, especially when then author is not simply frustrated with someone, but rather has acknowledged that he really means it when he makes these kinds of statements.

This kind of behavior is so egregious that I believe that anyone supporting, and/or trusting someone who makes these kinds of threats, is himself condoning violence, and as a result I do not think it is a good idea to trade with these people.

I have previously sent a PM to the below list of people advising them of the situation. This list of people only includes those that I am certain received my PM, and those that have discussed the situation with my in one way or another that leads me to believe they do not condone these kinds of threats have not been included in this list.

The below list of people are those that I believe condone threats of violence. It is my opinion that everyone should avoid doing any kind of business with the below people:

Floki's 23 online shit posts http://archive.fo/F15iY and http://archive.fo/H7pkm give me an idea who some of your later alts are...  Just a hunch mind you.

I really don't have any other alts. You are probably trying to connect dots using all the posts from all the accounts.

You've selectively cut out the rest of the post (the very post above yours).

What I wrote was:

Or floki I would wager.

I'm cyrusb. I use this account to comunicate you.

Floki's 23 online shit posts http://archive.fo/F15iY and http://archive.fo/H7pkm give me an idea who some of your later alts are...  Just a hunch mind you.

So let me remind you how we got to this point:

-(snip)-

1) Accounts Buyer/Seller. It wasn't a problem at that time but you were using them to scam and default loans.  And somehow I think that you were after getting your accounts negged. Check iram66680 and magemist for instance.
2) Defaulted many loans check iram66680, cyrusb(I though am unsure about cyrusb due to this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1041009.msg11235253#msg11235253) . My best guess you were taking loans to gamble and defaulted when you were unable to pay. Obviously it didn't hurt you at all since you had already a good no. of accounts back then. So it was easy to move over to next account wasn't it?
3) Operator of scam site: GotaPauj. Check trust page of the profile.
4) Used alt accounts to abuse giveaways on a mass level: If you check the report by Lutpin you will see that he abused a giveaway by 28 times!!
Now I wonder and want to ask if is it something that community should forgive because he scammed in past? It was no mistake that he chose to default loans, scam users and abuse giveaways.

I'll get to the 28 other alts in a little while, but for now let's start with cyrusb.

In this post by avirunes we see 7 Accounts Connected:

iram66680, xinzark, cyrusb, coolcoin, kishan889, GotaPauj, magemist, to which we add    Ajatmoralez, RoAnonymous, shadowmoon identified from your trust wall as being alts (and that's not counting the alts mentioned in the links on the trust wall) ... and in the PM to me madhatter,  madhatter's profile number is number 11 (eleven)

Including madhatter Date Registered:    09 December 2009, 15:21:10 - Last Active:    16 November 2018, 06:07:52 there are actually 11 Accounts Connected:

Quote
madhatter. : Got a perma ban back in 2014

Um, I don't think so.

Quote
Edit : shadowmoon, coolcoin and madhatter. were bought accounts

perhaps.

If you lock this thread I'll just start another one.

zazarb (who starts their loan service on the 25 August 2015, 09:50:24) first takes control of the UID xinzark on the 04 September 2015, 01:49:21 - post #48 (Archived) - the loan is deemed to be "covered" http://archive.fo/xgJWi#selection-867.0-901.7 which I can only presume means the original owner defaulted but the loan was covered either through the account being sold or repaid through other means.

If "covered" is code for "the loan defaulted and I have sold the UID to cover my losses" then Heutenamos, cryptopaths, xinzark, Panzzer, waterpile, BruceLee007, togesix , user64, hakanbalta577, Argwai96, nmuras29, rsarkar and lastly michaelwang33 have all been used as collateral and then sold to recover costs since 2015 to now.

Two things then occur:

 • On the 14th, 15th, 17th and 28th of September 2015  zazarb starts four account sale threads (link in date) advertising UID's created in 2013 some with a corresponding bitcoin wallet address signature to "prove ownership" (ie clouds people's minds about whether or not a UID has changed hands)

So what happened? zazarb secures the xinzark account the first time nine months earlier for a loan of BTC 0.15

I confirm that I  am under control of the account xinzark right now.

Maybe, just maybe xinzark bought back their account by covering the loan repayment with three of four other UID's to sweeten the deal? Care to enlighten us which ones?

I'll get to Floki soon...   Roll Eyes

I haven't posted with coolcoin and shadowmoon after getting banned.
You can't post from a banned account anyway.

What are you talking about ?
If one of your accounts get banned then ,according to forum rules, you are not allawed to use any other account.

master-p was exposed on the 28th of December 2015.

When do you claim you bought this account from zazarb?

I was going to post all the accounts here but saw some details which i didn't felt right to make public so i am going to pm you
You can make a confirmation post when all your questions are answered

Will be making another reply answering Timelord2067 questions

All you did was PM me a list of known alts that were already in the public domain and you then went on to post your PM further down this thread, so no, you haven't answered my questions.

Any proof of any kind (transaction details with chat screenshots if by any chance you are able to retrieve at this point) to support your statement. Have you provided proof to Timelord2067 in the PM? Without it simply looks like a hollow claim to me.

Very hollow.

Just in case you didn't see this in my thread:

Fresh information from reddit - Cryptopia has permission to reopen

Hi guys,

I'm a journalist in NZ.

I just had some communication with police, who confirm they have wrapped up the on-site investigation.

From detective inspector Greg Murton: "Cryptopia management have full access to their facility and business premises and the Police investigation is not preventing their business from getting up and running again. However only Cryptopia management can speak to when it may be open again."

It's a shame, the link is only available for suscribers, so it's bearly impossible to read the post  Sad

Just a quick request: If you are planning on returning on forum please sign a message from the old address staked so that we can verify the account owner is same from the way back then. Hope you will be able to do that.

The links in my post point to signed messages by xinzark so that would be a starting point for signed messages.
