5841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2011 Awards - Come on in to Nominate on: January 01, 2012, 12:55:20 AM
I found it tickling how someone keeps removing my name and someone else keeps adding it, then still someone else keeps changing it  to "Matthew "assdouche" N. Wright" and someone else keeps correcting it.

I knew I had some stalkers, but this is ridiculous.
5842  Other / Off-topic / Re: My cristmas present: Burnt House on: January 01, 2012, 12:53:19 AM
No offense, but a house burned down down the street and I was able to walk in it, talk with the owners, etc. I could have taken a hundred pics of it, myself, etc if I felt like it. Why is this enough to get bitcoins on a forum? Is everyone here braindead?

Hahahaha.. Let me paraphrase for Matthew..

"Merry Christmas, go fuck yourself!"

Personally Im sorry to hear about the fire, the pictures alone are enough proof for me, because if you take the time to look at what is being taken, its obvious the OWNER is taking the photos and not a random dipshit like matthew taking pictures of the local arson fires he sets for his scrapbook

I may act random, but I'm not really random. If I was truly random I would not be able to sustain this human form.

Also, when you're done dragging your knuckles read the point of the post again and you'll see that it has merit. Just because you're gullible doesn't mean anyone else has to be.
5843  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk requesting donations? Wtf? on: December 31, 2011, 09:18:25 PM
Hello noobs,

According to Bitcointalk's donation page they've pulled in roughly ~620BTC from donations alone. On this same page it states that they recieve free hosting and the donations go to 'development of the forum'. I dont know about you guys but I dont see anything on this forum thats not on every other single forum that runs this software.. So if they're a non-profit I'd really like to see the paperwork on that because they have to account for all donations and report it to future donors. Also, If you've ever run an advertisement on Bitcointalk you know how expensive it is.

I'm just wondering where all this money goes? If your costs are $0 .. and you've taken in atleast $1k in donations .. and there have been no improvements on the forum .. How is that a non profit?
I think we should stop donating until we get these answers.. Is this forum really that great? 30% of it is flame wars and trolling. A wise man once said on IRC 'The forums are full of cancer and scammers'.

Cordially Yours,
James L (rg @ freenode)

Cool story bro. Personally, I think they should spend the money on getting all mods and staff some liquor for putting up with the ass-hattery that goes on here. I think I owe them all a beer for putting up with me and the rest of the off-topic/trollin' crew...PM me an address, gentlemen...

I agree. I would have donated 100BTC by now if Theymos would just use some existing forum software. This whole "make a new one from scratch" idea is asinine, as is not changing it to a new one and slowly making additions himself for free.

Asked to be the Admin?

Man, this is one pissed off little jilted lover to be this intent on destroying this Drane clown.

But, hey, thanks for the warning, now quickly get back to your bridge little troll, there are tolls to collect!

The world is nicer when you don't speak.

I open threads containing your posts and my plants start wilting.

Gosh, what a wonderful service I provide to exercise your plants that way. Then you can speak and they are fully fertilized once again. How symbiotic.

I lol'ed.

Gee, thanks for the 'warning'.
5848  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SCAMMER PRESENT : -- Tanerlorn aka Jonathan Drane aka iamhiv. on: December 31, 2011, 10:27:17 AM
Why is it that these threads are invariably started by people who have no grasp of spelling or grammar?
+1

Good job on aspect ratios, mostly... What did poor Stefan do to deserve being squished in his interview? Do you charge the guests if they wish to avoid the aspect squishing?

I will admit that at least you only squished one guest... Bruce squishes everyone, including himself.

Did Mr Armitt pay the "non squished interview" fee?

Best part:

Pretty nice for the first one... keep it up.

The interviews were just a mess and the real reason the special was late. We're learning though.

How many of these dumb fuck threadsvare you going to start?
5851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putting my hand up to be the unofficial bitcoin marketeer on: December 30, 2011, 11:15:48 AM
Meh, if it's unofficial just do it.

Id only be interested if there was a significant amount of people willing to support and donate some hours to develop some systems/software/sites etc.

Some level of coordination, cooperation and direction will be required.

If you have good idea's, Ill gladly contribute to the realization of them on a per case basis. If your idea's suck imo, your on your own. So I dont see the point of pledging anything at this point.  Wanting 100 people to 'vote' for you seems little more than ego tripping, no offense.

Well it just makes the job a lot easier,  im not going to volunteer to do the marketing without support.
A case by case situation is probably not a bad idea though, will take it on board

I'll be happy to test your intentions. Read my PM ^^

There are already serious groups that you weren't aware existed. The way I see it, if you neglect to support them, it's ego tripping.

Is he right for wanting to do a complete testing and miner-tuning? YES!

Is it right to sticky the thread? NO!

5854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [UPDATE] Christmas Special is now viewable at BitTalk.TV! on: December 29, 2011, 09:37:56 AM
I appreciate all the comments, especially the criticisms since I was running blind with this. Here's what I'm doing to fix the issues that I am aware of:

1) Shows in the future will be as relaxed as possible without losing the point, but will not be ad libbed like this special was.

2) Sound was a huge concern but budget, resources and time were against us. A generous sponsor has pledged to provide proper wireless recording equipment that should allow us to keep mobility without sacrificing quality.

3) I'm in love with rendering special effects now. Vicente has got me hooked and since the stick figure animation alone took 2 hours to render, it's pretty clear our hardwar was ill prepared. A generous sponsor is providing a rendering machine for us to help is follow standards and cut time.

4) Comedy is what I live for. Without it, I'd have no energy to do any of this crap. I'll be channeling towards seperate skits instead of main features though to ensure that my particular tastes don't interfere with accessibility.

5) We are producing a digital magazine to go along with our series of programs. This should help those interested in the meat only to get more out of what we are doing.

6) If anyone has any suggestions, concerns, or if you have an idea for a show you'd like us to do or you'd like to create and host with us, I'm all ears.

7) The Christmas Special was a rushed, poorly thought out and even worsely executed concept with a very short window of time to complete. Future shows are planned, written and contributed to by our entire team not just me so the production value should improve as we find our ass from our heads.

Cool I like bacon.

9) yesterday in the shower I came up with an idea and three verses to a Silk Road nerd gangra rap song. Would anyone be interested in seeing this produced into a music video?
5855  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rocket is secretly taking off again. $4.5 - 5 price target within 3 days on: December 29, 2011, 12:45:13 AM
In other news, bitcoin is worth exactly the same I put into it as what I get out of it.

Give it a rest fellas.

Sometimes I go to the mining forums and tell miners to quit talking about mining too! It's fun, isn't it?

Hehe. Tuche.

5858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [UPDATE] Christmas Special is now viewable at BitTalk.TV! on: December 28, 2011, 10:05:58 PM
no I didn't mean random though that fits as defined here

I meant lame, totally spastic & never to go there again

Perhaps you'd prefer a more normal (http://www.opposite-word.com/s/spastic) show like the Bitcoin Show by Bruce Wagner. lol

Criticism noted.
5859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [UPDATE] Christmas Special is now viewable at BitTalk.TV! on: December 28, 2011, 09:45:40 PM
totally dire - just me maybe but found it (like most TeeVee style crap) to be completely unwatchable, so so spastic

If you meant random, I think you're receiving what we intended on displaying.

Not to worry, Christmas Special is over. Steady shows coming up.
