5841  Economy / Speculation / Re: [2019-10-13] Fun Fact: Bitcoin Price is Up 838,000,000% in Ten Years’ Time on: October 16, 2019, 01:38:45 PM
And that is why bitcoin is the best performing assets we have seen. Although there's a lot of commodity/assets around, in the last ten years, bitcoin has been out performing them.

And still in it's infancy we have ballooned to over 838,000,000%? What's gonna happy in the next ten or twenty years from now? Is bitcoin creating a new set of millionaires for casual and average joe's and billionaires for those whales?
5842  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Heads-up] Apps need to remove from your phone containing harmful adware on: October 15, 2019, 11:00:32 PM
According to what I have noticed, most infected apps are the ones which are photo editors. Good for me I only stick to Photoshop and Paint Grin. Those are very old in the industry so you can assure that they're are not hiding anything from us. Here's my tip, if you just want to put simple effects on your picture or only want few adjustments (cropping in most cases) then downloading apps is not necessary any longer because most of smartphone's gallery already got a extra features like this.

Not just photo editors, there have been apps that supposedly protect your phone, but behind it contains a trojan or malware looking to stole every bit of information in your phone.

And just because it is in Google Store or something means it's safe, Google can't even catch up with so many apps being developed everyday and putting put in their store. That's why the best way to combat this is not to install anything that you are not familiar with.
5843  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: October 15, 2019, 11:30:55 AM
It is a huge amount. Hackers nowadays are focusing to steal the crypto funds, especially the crypto exchanges, and unfortunately, they reached a good level of success in many cases. Lastly, we remember the hacking of MyEtherWallet and Cryptopia, just for examples. There are other big amounts stolen by getting the private keys of the BTC and ETH wallets.

I think there are underground hackers that really targets crypto exchanges. Those guys are dedicated and I'm sure they also worked 24x7 to find any loopholes on a exchanges. And these guys are cyber criminals and they don't work alone, they work as a group and I even read news that they could be sponsored by a certain nation to wreck havok and still crypto for their own sake.

It's really disheartening to hear that, but what can we do, unless exchanges patch all the loopholes and exploits, those hackers or cyber criminals will continue to do it and stole money from us.
5844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I talk about market problems? on: October 15, 2019, 11:10:47 AM
I just want to know, about market issues.
1. Reasons that make you survive or still believe in this market?

This market is one of a kind, you just have to look at it's past history.

2. Is this what is called a market cycle, I mean back to the time before bitcoin reached the highest price in 2017? or maybe like 2014, 2015 or 2016? because I'm not there yet.

Yes, this market works in cycle because every 4 years we have a bitcoin halvening. Bitcoin's last halving is 2016, then we reach ATH in 2017 in approximately 1000 days after it's lowest low of $600. So $600->$20k in 1000 days, not bad isn't it? And we all know that alt is tied to bitcoin, so when bitcoin goes on a bull run, majority of the alts will follow specially the top 50.

3. Why has the recent rise in bitcoin prices not affected the market situation for the better or had an impact on the rise in altcoin prices?

It's because there's no bull run yet, what we have witnessed in a just a recovery from $3k-$13k then down to $8k, that is not a bull run.

4. In your opinion how to overcome the market situation so that it can be stable again?

Let's wait for bitcoin's block halvening in 2020. But you have to remember that the price won't shoot up overnight, as I have said it took us 1000 days to get to a new all time high. So now the gauge is $3k->$??,???. It might take 2000 days or more, or not. So we will see.
5845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Errol Spence Jr. Vs Manny Pacquiao on: October 15, 2019, 10:50:36 AM
Then just give him want he wants , manny boxers wants to fight Manny because they know Manny Pacman Pacquiao is a great boxer of all time and once they win om their fights they become more popular or become a good boxer like Manny too. But the decision will still depends on them if the two fighters agree to having a fight and Im excited to watch if it's really have.
Manny never consider Errol as his first choice but rather to think for rematch with Mayweather https://www.scmp.com/sport/boxing/article/3030934/errol-spence-says-he-wants-manny-pacquiao-next-pacman-seems-only

It (maybe) Manny will change his decision and take Errol's offer then, this gonna makes sense at all. But for now, there is no official announcement from both parties.

It only resurfaces when Floyd started to give us a hint that he wanted to fight Manny now. But prior to that Floyd is not interested, that's why everyone wanted to see Manny face Errol Spence Jr next year.

But due to his accident and Floyd coming out and telling us that he would give Manny the rematch, then for sure Manny will choose Floyd over Spence Jr, because of the potential nine figures he can get in this fight and to revenge his lost to Mayweather.

If it pushes, then Floyd vs Manny and Spence vs D. Garcia next year will be big for the boxing fans.

I am wondering if Mayweather is serious to have that rematch, what makes him interested to do the fight again?
Is it really all about the money that he can get? Or his ego is hungry and needs to be fed?
But in case their match will push thru, will it attract the same number of audience as before or people will just wait for the replay of their match?

That's the big question and only Floyd can really answer that. So far the news come out like a fire and everyone soon jump on the bandwagon that he will face Manny again.

But so far that's the only news we got and the thing is, did we heard it directly from Floyd though?
As far as I know, the news came from the Japanese promoter and not from directly from Floyd's mouth, or I could be wrong.
5846  Economy / Economics / Re: The market starts looking real nice in Q2, 2019 on: October 15, 2019, 09:02:59 AM
indeed the price recovery has begun to be seen from the price of bitcoin which fell very badly now can start to rise and until now prices have started to rise and are stable at high prices, I'm sure the end of this year the price of bitcoin can be like what happened in 2017 which made the price of bitcoin rise become very expensive.

April to June was bitcoin's recovery period, from $3k to $13k that's a huge jump. However, after that spike it slowly went and know we are trading around the $8k barriers and it seems there are no recovery in the horizon or at least get to it highest high this year.

I don't think that we will reach that levels of 2017 at the end of the year.

Alt market? nah, still looks bearish to me despite many signals and positive reports about certain coin. Majority are still down -90%. The only way they can bounce back and wait for bitcoin's run to a new all time high next year or after the block halvening.
5847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reality of tokens on: October 15, 2019, 08:21:50 AM
So regarding the fact that what it takes to create a token for example an ERC 20, i ahve found a gig on Fiverr.
Check the link.
https://www.fiverr.com/wedowo/create-your-ico-website-and-erc20-token?context_referrer=search_gigs&source=top-bar&ref_ctx_id=34a69322-cdbf-40a4-98e6-b9f51a1be52f&pckg_id=1&pos=3&context_type=auto&funnel=657f18cb-30b9-4ede-a7f7-139b402768ed

Seller is creating an ICO website as well as the token for just 50$. So your basic invetsment is 50$, Now you just need to do marketing by just making a telegram group and launching a scam bounty scheme and give members greed to give 10% commissions. And you are ready to scam people.
People choose these scammers to scam them and thats all. Not saying that all of the tokens are of this type but most of them are of indeed.

That is really the sad state of alt market right now, anyone can hire someone to create a supposedly token for them for a mere $50 just like you find and then BOOM, start of scamming crypto investors in the community.

And this is the main reason why projects last year and up to this year are not moving forward, gone are the days (2017), wherein there's a ICO craze. People not as getting smarter as well because ICO projects are exposed as 99% scammed.
5848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitwise Rejected a place in the SEC on: October 14, 2019, 11:25:13 PM
Isn't it we have tons of ETF's being rejected by SEC in the past? Winklevoss, Van Eck to name a few. But still bitcoin is moving forward.

So obviously, this is not the end of crypto trading, LOL, this is free and open market, open 24x7x365. The only thing that can stop it is when people suddenly gets tired of trading, but it's unlikely to happen as many are making money here and there are a lot of individuals joining the crypto-sphere every day.
5849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is controlled not just manipulated but controlled on: October 14, 2019, 10:18:21 PM
Well this is prevalent last year, 2017 we haven't heard about bots, there are just a few that I can think of. But in 2018, lots of bots coming up and many speculators/traders uses them to take advantage of ease and speed, but you still need to have experience though, because using bots is very hard as you have to set all parameters right.

As far as who is behind, we don't know, maybe some whales or traders who have had enough experience to play with it. Bots are just part of the equation now, Bots Are Manipulating Price of Bitcoin in ‘Wild West of Crypto’ .

5851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: October 14, 2019, 01:35:58 PM
We could see them both on the court with Lebron playing point guard and two outside shooters. That line up could still work for them both on the defensive and offensive end. It's a good opportunity for Howard to show what he's been working on.
Absolutely. It's good to see them both playing at the same time by powering inside the paint. But, if that happens, the team's transition in both offense and defense will slow down a little as they are big men. Anyway, let's just hope for AD's fast recovery. He's vital for the team.
Kuzma and Green with both Howard and McGee will be dependable with LeBron's leadership inside the court. AD can take the rest that he needs as it's a long season to play, having him healthy when the playoffs is approaching is more important than the regular season. The team is full of role players who can step up whenever they needed it.

Lakers competitiveness will be test it will be  AD less from the season opener.

I doubt that AD will take a long rest, looks like the extend of his injury is not that worst, probably just a couple of weeks rest and he will be back and play with his new team.

Definitely, everyone will be dependent on Lebron's leadership we all see what happens when Lebron is not in the court last season. Although you can argue that this is a different team now, however, Lebron is still the key for the Lakers to be successful.

UNIX Co-Founder Ken Thompson's BSD Password Has Finally Been Cracked

Quote
A 39-year-old password of Ken Thompson, the co-creator of the UNIX operating system among, has finally been cracked that belongs to a BSD-based system, one of the original versions of UNIX, which was back then used by various computer science pioneers.

https://thehackernews.com/2019/10/unix-bsd-password-cracked.html

I still remember my Unix books by then, specially my C Programming, authored by pioneers, Ritchie and Kernigan.

Just bring back my memories when I was studying Computer Science back then. And just by looking at the pioneers password, its not that complicated because obviously, no hackers around but it's good to hear that they have preserved it somewhere  Grin.
5853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: p2pb2b exchange top 1? on: October 14, 2019, 10:31:12 AM
Hello people, today p2pb2b exchange just gain 55% from volume and reach top 1 on coinmarketcaps
https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/ and beat binance

We all know that no one can top Binance at this point.

what do you think about this exchange?
is this volume fake or real?

Just another shitty exchange and I doubt that the volume is real. You just have to look at which exchange in the list, most of the top then are never heard of traders, so those are just faking everything to look at if they are here to challenge Binance or Coinbase, not it is not the case so don't fall for this trap.
5854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No other currency on: October 14, 2019, 10:03:25 AM
What if there is no other crypto currency or alt coin. How does it affect the price of the bitcoin. How high is the value of bitcoin in your opinion.?

Obviously, cryptocurrency will just put everything on bitcoin, but it's hard to say what will be the price though. Maybe we won't see much media attention to it so only few percentage of the whole population will get to know what bitcoin is.

So in a hindsight, we might be in the say position right now or even lower if bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency in it's existence.
5855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 14, 2019, 09:30:53 AM

I agree he now needs to win a Grand Slam to really show that he has taken that next step to becoming a great player like the big three.
The big 3 has dominated the Grand Slam for more than 8 years, there are only a few players who are able to win the Grand Slam besides the big 3. Medvedev has a great chance to win the Grand Slam next year, I think Australia Open or US Open He can win one of them. Competition in men's singles is getting more attractive.

It is still attractive as far as I'm concern, although the big 3 is still a dominant force to reckon with, we have players like D. Medvedev rising to the occasion and showing not just his skills but his mentality to go and chase Federer at the end of the year for the third spot.

If he was able to overtake it, Roger Federer might think that it's about time to retire.
5856  Economy / Economics / Re: BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 6 YEARS on: October 14, 2019, 09:12:10 AM
I'm also been in this game for many years, but to be honest, I didn't want to "market" it to people, why? because I will get the same response as what you got. So I just keep everything on myself, although I try many times with my families and close friends but after that I completely shut off and didn't discuss it to them.

Most of the time, you will be butt-hurt with all the response you got (at least that's what I feel back then), and when bitcoin goes on a dramatic rise in 2017, some of them come forward and I said it's too late because we are in a bubble already. And I rub it to them saying that they should have invested before when I'm giving them a hint around 2015/2016 about the potential growth.
5857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Years of bear market.. what to expect next on: October 14, 2019, 08:39:19 AM
i don't know what on earth would trigger the bullrun in the alts. i think we have seen enough of this bloodbath there is about 8 month left in the bitcoin next block halving and still market condition is not improving. is there will be any improvement in the alts or they all will die

Great things will come to those who wait, it just proves how dynamic is, it's very unpredictable, people are predicting that we should have been into the $15 k level because of the halving, and a lot of great news coming like UN accepting Cryptocurrency donations, let things take its course we never know another all-time high is waiting to happen.

Alt market's catalyst should be the bitcoin's bull run in 2020, it was expected that after the block halvening, bitcoin is going to enjoy a massive growth, and this could have a domino effect on the alt market as we have seen in the 2016-2017 period.

So for those bag holders, you will be tested time and again on how long are you willing to wait here. This is how it works and no one can really stop it from happening, so you need more patience more than ever.
5858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: !!! SO MANY PROJECTS !!! What 's going on ? on: October 14, 2019, 04:59:03 AM
Yes they are already have so many new project right now.
But i cant name it of which of those are trusted project, Because i cant see any of them are worth to participate. As of now their are many bounty hunters complaining some projects are trying to scam. But ill think we can found some trusted project if we search it carefully.

We have a lot of new projects because the entity behind believes that they can offer something unique, but up a closer look, the market is saturated already. And that's why we can't really distinguishes which one is legit or not, because of the sheer number and duplicate projects around.

As for bounty hunters, you are playing a dangerous game here because we really don't know what projects are going to be successful and which one are going to be a bust, if you are still willing to gamble then go for it, otherwise, don't spend all your time, months and months of work and in the end the reward is worthless.
5859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Errol Spence Jr. Vs Manny Pacquiao on: October 12, 2019, 07:33:44 AM
Yeah, I just saw the news today, Spence is lucky to get away with just injury,

https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/errol-spence-jr-avoids-serious-injury-in-crash-where-vehicle-flips-over-multiple-times/

I guess this accident should be a wake up call for him, He needs to take care of himself though. But as far as the fight goes, he needs to take a rest then before chasing Manny because for sure this incident will put a dent on his psychologically.

He was not injured so it looks like nothing happens, I don't think he will get affected with this psychologically because he is a tough guy and he will continue to climb that ladder fighting the best in the business.

We cannot wait for this fight to be realize and the sooner the better, if its not gonna happen this year, they should negotiate it early next year.
Fans love it, and hopefully he will learn from this incident to take care of his body as that's where his career relies.

Of course they won't admit that Errol Spence got injured here. If you have seen the video's you will say that no one will survived that kind of crash. Maybe he didn't suffered injuries but I'm sure that he has some bumps and bruises and for all we know, maybe he hurt his hands too.

And the mental trauma he good from here could be a factor, will he totally change his style or will fight the same? We still don't know until we see him fight again whether its against Manny or someone else.
5860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WPP Energy tokens? on: October 12, 2019, 07:11:02 AM
I already gave up on this project. Because nothing potential on this project anymore and they seem near to scam. All of their products are just a piece of some words, nothing real. Therefore, if you check their social channels and admins activity, you will be surprised, because all are likely dead! No new posts on twitter, medium, telegram, if you ask many questions, you will be banned from the Wpp telegram group! And you know the WPP token trading volume and their false promise about exchange listings! So, better leave this project and move on

I beg to disagree, their twitter is very much active.

But I do believed that they are just giving their investors false hope, they always give updates like they have a meeting with this so called companies and after that nothing concrete come out.

And another, I think someone mentions this, they have plans to be a stable coin? I mean can they really achieved this? I guess this is the only thing that glued most investors in this project, that false promise and I don't know how in the hell they are going to get to it.
