5841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are all the bounties coming out right now garbage? on: September 19, 2019, 11:06:17 AM
Not all of them are garbage, but it is right that finding legal, and profitable bounty campaigns nowadays is harder than a few years ago. Actually, we have to make long research about each project before participating in its bounty, and even if the project seems promising, the listing of tokens get so long time usually.

I don't see any good bounty campaigns coming out anymore. The time where you could've made a fortune from bounties are over, I am afraid. Nowadays you have to even pray that they'll pay out the bounties (even if they are worthless in the end) and not screw bounty hutners completely over.
i missed the days when bounty hunting gives me so much fun and earnings ,sometimes i cant even sleep cause because of the rewards i get from bounty campaigns. But now i cant sleep ,thinking about the bounty if it is legit or not.  Im tired doing task for so many weeks but until the end no payment.
We're no longer in 2017 mate, those are the best days of bounty hunting I must say. Many of us, specially high rank participants made a lot of money, just by joining bounties and even airdrops. I experienced if myself and it's really very satisfying.

But I guess we need to move on now, there are no more good bounties, everyone project that comes out are a total failure, very attractive ICO price but when listed on exchanges, the dump comes in and that is how the market goes on today.
5842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ETHEREUM KEEPS DISAPPOINTING on: September 19, 2019, 10:41:18 AM
In the course of this year, ethereum has mostly not been promising due to the many disappointing times we have experienced. Sometimes, it even become very difficult to know when to hold or sell out some ethereum. All the same, many people who trust in altcoins have kept some great faith in ethereum and that is an amazing motivation that ethereum can really bounce back and be the strong force most hodlers wish for.
ICO is slowly dying and this is one factor to consider why Ethereum is being affected as well. And then we need to look at how bitcoin is really doing, because most investors are going to move on bitcoin and I think most of Ethereum holders have move already and no new blood are coming in the crypto space of Ethereum.

And then we have the bearish trend that no one has expected to last this long. But make no mistakes about it, ETH 2.0 will be release in early January 2020 and this could bring money to the Ethereum market and probably could relived the altcoin ecosystem.
5843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Summer Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 Summer Game on: September 19, 2019, 10:17:36 AM
Time for some updates for Basketball.
After the shame during the last Mondial, The Team USA wants to show his supremacy on the next Summer Games.
The big news is that finally, the NBA stars will go there.

The 1st big name is Curry, he wants Tokyo! (and maybe Kevin Durant too)

.. snip ..

Souce: https://eu.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/warriors/2019/09/18/nba-steph-curry-tokyo-2020-olympics-kevin-durant-departure-nets/2361233001/

If this will be confirmed well, this can be a safe bet  Grin
Thanks for the update, I think they are going to send a strong team in this year's Olympic specially how the US team manage themselves in the last FiBA, not even in the medal standings. And the schedule seems to fit NBA stars because that is off season.

And there could be other stars willing to represent US and try to prove that there are still a force in the world basketball scene.
5844  Economy / Economics / Re: At which price will loose Bitcoin the dominance in the Crypto Market? on: September 19, 2019, 09:56:32 AM
Bitcoin will start losing dominance if people will suddenly feel like throwing a ton of money on every altcoin out there, like it happened in 2017. I'd say It won't happen again, because too many people got burned, with hundreds of shitcoins going to zero. Maybe ETH and some other coins will regain a bit of their past dominance, because people want to gamble with altcoins a bit, but I don't think Bitcoin will dip below 50% dominance ever again.
Got burned, get out of the market, learn from their experience and now they are smarter and won't just throw their money on every shitcoin being born today. We just have to look at the current state of altcoins, most of them even ETH are still down, while shitcoins remains to be pump and dump.

If we are going to based on the last bull run 45%-47% will likely be a good ball park number. Bitcoin price reach new all time high and altcoin market recovering. But the question is when and if people are willing to shift or throw money again in altcoin market.
5845  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Tips That You Should Know Before Trading on: September 19, 2019, 09:35:36 AM
I think we also need to stress that trading is a long journey. You can't simply make a profit in the first day and say that this is for you. There could be days that you can't simply make a profit and every trade you get in are not successful.

That's why trading is very risky, and if you don't have the right attitude and your can't control your emotions then it's not going to work. You really need a lot of mental toughness here, not just money to be a successful trader, or at least making a decent money.
5846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lets think Bitcoin as an investment not payment system, is this right? on: September 19, 2019, 09:15:45 AM
In its early years, I would say that the plan for bitcoin is to be a payment scheme.

But when people started to see that there is a potential to make money, exchanges pop up and the journey begins as bitcoin has been touted as an investments, SoV and even compare to gold. But you can't blame how people, it has evolved so much in the last ten years.

The best thing is that we as crypto enthusiast can take advantage of both, use it as a payment system and then have some in your wallet as long term hold.
5847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btc price is allready too high on: September 19, 2019, 08:50:56 AM
Bitcoin has a downward trend on the last 16 hours or so and the price is below five digit now. So if you think that the price is too high, then this is a good opportunity to purchase because of the dip. I guess those complaining that the price is expensive doesn't know what bitcoin can bring to see, thus full of complains and bitching around.

But for those who understand the price movement, and like purchasing when the price tends to go on a correction, they will continue to do so and will keep investing as long as they can and HODL on them for the next coming years before liquidating and getting their huge profit.
5848  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bakkt on: September 19, 2019, 08:16:02 AM
Yes, this is long overdue, but I have a feeling that majority still thinks that it could have the same affect as CME and CBoE last 2017.

It's pretty clear that Bakkt will not have same effect as CBOE&CME, even if Bakkt will offer "physical bitcoin futures contracts", which was not the case before. But from my point of view problem is in timing, first BTC futures are launched 1+ year after halving, and Bakkt is coming just under a year before halving.
Yes, the much touted "physical bitcoin futures contracts" could have made the difference if we say that bakkt is launched in 2017-2018. But today, it doesn't makes any difference at all. Timing could be one factor as well, eight months prior to the block halving, and we all know that crypto enthusiast are waiting for this event not the bakkt launched.

It is also an indisputable fact that media is not creating any FOMO this time, and that people are now more and better informed. However if big pump happens most will give credit for that to Bakkt, because what else could be the reason Roll Eyes
And exactly a week before they launch, the price of bitcoin goes down,  Grin
5849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright really is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: September 18, 2019, 10:21:11 AM
Hilarious. It has already been discussed many, many times that Craig Wright is a liar just trying to gain more popularity through the entire Satoshi mystery and he has become a joke because of his own stupidity op.

Greed is what messed him up. He has enough money for many generations, but that was still not enough. He still wanted more popularity and the result is clear to everyone. Stupidity at its finest.
It's his personality that tells that he is not Satoshi. All he can do is talk all day but at the end of the day, he can't proved any.

Just look at his creation "Bitcoin SV", if he is really Satoshi, he wouldn't created a shitcoin.  Grin. I guess this argument is over, because the court already give him time to proved his case, but he chooses to submit fraud documents. So yeah, very hilarious, but I'm sure he is not yet done because we will continue to claim to be the Satoshi, but I do hope that we will stop talking about him in the years to come.
5850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: France: We can't allow Facebook's Libra in Europe on: September 18, 2019, 09:49:52 AM
France is not Libra positive, but true crypto positive. They finally issued a law that the exchange of cryptocurrency to another cryptocurrency is not subject to taxes. You pay taxes only from profit when you sell your cryptocurrencies into fiat. Smiley
That is good. Here is the link for that news, https://blockonomi.com/france-no-tax-on-gains-from-crypto-to-crypto-trades/

Facebook currently has more than two billion users, more than any other country, and more than 4 times the European Union. Therefore, not only France or Europe, I believe that the governments of many countries feel threatened by Libra. Even so the head of Libra is still very confident that it can make it on time, I look forward to that day.
I don't think that they feel threaten at all. What France say is that company such as Facebook are not to be trusted because they have problems protecting their consumers, and that's why France doesn't like this Libra project at all.
5851  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4 Key Similarities to Previous Bull Market Corrections on: September 18, 2019, 07:56:49 AM
The really major event for me is the block halving for sure.
Try to compare the chart of Bitcoin for every halving in the previous.
You can see huge movement of the price like for months before of the day of block halving.
This BAKKT event for me is already done in terms of price action on BTC, you think we can see a huge price movement on the day of BAKKT will start their trading?
Not only you but every one who have been or seen the previous halving thinks that this is the only catalyst that can bring the price to its all-time-high. Perhaps the Bakkt price is already in, that's why in the recent weeks we haven't seen any good price movement to say that indeed it has impacted the price positively.

But we will have to see what comes after September 26. We just have like a week from now and see if this anticipated event could trigger another price boost.
5852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bad time to get into daytrading? on: September 18, 2019, 07:33:11 AM
There`s no bad time to get into day trading, there`s just a wrong choice of the coin to day trade with. If you take a look on charts you will see that some coins rise, others are dropping, depending on your choice of the coin you will make a profit or others will.
It might be the case, but newbies who are going into day trading thinking that by just looking at the graph, they could make easy money.

Sooner or later we all make bad trades, buy a wrong coin that drops in price after we buy it, that`s why you should trade with coins you believe in, if price drops just keep it and price will bounce back eventually.
That's also one case wherein individuals doing day trade don't understand. There will be times that we can performed bad trades even if we see a potential profits, that is because market is open and prone to manipulation and they can be swept by this practice. But it's better to experience this early in your journey so that you understand how manipulators do their job and that you can exit on time.
5853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we boycott the Facebook Coin (Project Libra)? on: September 18, 2019, 06:16:23 AM
Facebook or at least the people behind Project Libra knows that many crypto enthusiast are against them. So they already hire a lobbyist to do the dirty laundry:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-09-05/facebook-hires-two-more-lobbyists-to-boost-libra-cryptocurrency

So the question is, as crypto enthusiast are we suppose to support any coins that go against the vision of crypto or at least bitcoin's decentralisation? I guess it really depends on the individual itself. If you can make money out of this project, will you go? I"m not saying that I'm 100% on the boat with this one, but when money speaks, everything changes.
5854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 18, 2019, 05:20:38 AM

But I highly doubt I can see the same lineup come 2020 Tokyo Olympics. I am seeing the likes of Curry in there. The US has still the best team in the world when it comes to basketball. They are still my favorite for the Olympics.
Most of us, if not everyone, agrees. But Olympics is another venue to showcase your skills, and every NBA superstars wanted to gain the stardom, same as what MJ receive back then. And that stardom was never been forgotten to each side of the world and still being enjoyed by the Airness.

Aside from representing your motherland, you are also adding more popularity to your own career and that's how NBA superstar will see this opportunity, adding more fans all over the world this coming Tokyo Olympics.
Eventhough those NBA players are already rich, I think most of them will say that they are willing to represent their country in a venue such as Olympics an be proud of the biggest sporting events in the world.

So it's not just the opportunity, but the total experience itself. We have seen it before, so I'm sure NBA players who's going to pick to represent US in the 2020 won't decline the participation and be proud to be part of the US team. I still remember MJ being followed everywhere and the rest of the US team even outside the court with the Dream team in '92 Olympics.
5855  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Still bad? JPMorgan Chase Traders Accused Of Market Manipulation on: September 18, 2019, 04:42:55 AM
Oh well, what do you expect from people behind JP Morgan, they made a noise about Bitcoin is 2017 saying nasty things and then manipulating the price in their favor. Now, we see what this company are made of, greedy, manipulators, I'm sure they can pay the fine. But I do hope that their investors would shift their funds to Bitcoin.
Who can't remember that famous word from Jamie Dimon whom said that bitcoin is a fraud? Then things have turned suddenly and took his words because there were reports that him and his company silently collecting bitcoin.

They really are into manipulation.

They already have seen the potential of bitcoin and IIRC, they even gave a warning to their employees that reported to be trading bitcoin.
Right, for those who have been in the market in 2017, we have seen how Jamie Dimon calling bitcoin a "fraud", but someone exposes them as secretly buying bitcoin in huge amount and then dumping them when the price goes up in the next couple of weeks or months.

I'm not surprise by the findings by the Department of Justice though, very sketchy and shady people who still run the business and into everything including bitcoin and precious metals to manipulate the price and take millions if not billions of profits anytime of the day.
5856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sad News: Kidnappers now requesting bitcoin as ransom in Nigeria on: September 18, 2019, 04:18:12 AM
I guess bitcoin is really global then, just imagine kidnappers demanding bitcoin as ransom payment in Nigeria? Or they could be kidnappings all over the world today that we don't know yet that uses this method in order to conceal their criminal acts.

https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2019/07/15/police-rescued-bitcoin-traders/

https://www.ccn.com/80-bitcoin-ransom-demanded-for-alleged-down-under-kidnapping-of-chinese-student/

I don't want to say it, but it looks like kidnappers are going to exploit bitcoin's supposedly (psuedo)anonymity.
5857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: myetherwallet got hacked on: September 17, 2019, 11:28:54 AM
Trezor getting hacked?

A lot of red flags here, and this is really a bad practice. I'm sorry but you need to find a new set of friends here. But this time don't share the private keys. That trezor is already compromised, if I'm in your shoes, you better get a new one if you wanted to store more coins in the future and sorry for you lost.
5858  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin help rebuild Venezuela? - Darb Finance on: September 17, 2019, 11:02:20 AM
according to the news that I read, a bitcoin-based ATM was installed in Venezuela on September 10 yesterday. this proves that Venezuela is one place that is suitable for the development of bitcoin. This will facilitate the use of bitcoin, bitcoin cash, and dash on Venezuela. for more information about this, you can read in https://cointelegraph.com/news/after-multiple-false-starts-venezuela-may-have-its-first-bitcoin-atm
To be honest with you, the information you read always appears a lot every day, apply crypto and bitcoin ATMs, launch bitcoin's ATMs somewhere but these stories really don't have a lot of convincing evidence, mostly appear for a short time and then people will forget it, these bitcoin ATMs are still operating until now or it has stopped working, it is a question without an answer. Therefore, do not rush to think that Venezuela is a suitable country to develop bitcoin, and bitcoin doesn't rebuild a country, it just builds assets for people who know how to use it
Venezuela countrie use bitcoin because it is in a difficult position after their currencies have hyper inflation, I think Venezuela should improve the government system first, so that there is no severe corruption. with a healthy government I think it will be easier to improve the country's economy
Removed Maduro in power and then we will take if bitcoin can help rebuilding their economy.

Today, we are seeing the bitcoin is really helping them survived. I read reports that it needed like $15 billion to rehab the country, so how can bitcoin support that? There need to be some economic stimulus at some point and help from other countries like US.

Bitcoin can still be used as a tool, but to say that it is the miracle that Venezuelans are prying to help them recover, I'm not sure about that.
5859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Devs and CEOs on: September 17, 2019, 10:40:10 AM
Open and free market, and that will be the consequences.

That's why they have the nerved to show their faces in public and they don't care if they're going to scam us because we are very gullible and easily fall for their trick. That's why iCO are uncontrollable as this point and maybe projects even though very legit doesn't have the success they are hoping because the model is tainted already.

So if there is a KYC for bounty hunters, projects themselves should also do that so that we can file a case against them if they run with our money. Although majority didn't give a s**t, they are all after the money and will hide on some countries.
5860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallins on: September 17, 2019, 08:49:54 AM
This got me thinking as well, if it's on the other shoes, Otto got cut and bloodied, I think the referee are going to stop it and won't allow it to go to distance. But since it was Tyson Fury who got the injury early the referee or the doctor itself let the fight continue.

There are news specially coming from Frank Warren, that the Wilder fight me be delayed because they want the cut to be fully healed.

Anyway, this thread should be lock by the OP. The fight is over now.

The champion will almost always get the benefit of the doubt in a boxing match, that's just how it goes. The referee knows that Tyson Fury is an experienced boxer, and probably knows more than him about how his body is operating and what to do in that situation. Of course, when it comes to a less experienced fighter they might not have this knowhow, so they would be more inclined to stop the fight.

There was a similar cut in the recent fight with Badou Jack against Marcus Browne, though this cut was deeper and above both eyes, making it very hard for Jack to see. The referee called an early stop to the fight after a couple of rounds and it went to decision where Jack lost.

https://youtu.be/VebwIrJNz-Q
Correct, the champion always get the benefit of the doubt, specially with names like Tyson Fury.

I also remember Vitaly vs Lennox, Vitaly was cut badly, they should have stop the fight then. But Vitaly continue the ring doctor finally stop the fight because of the severity of the cut. However, that injury Vitaly had haunted him for the rest of his boxing career because that cut didn't fully heal and he was easily busted after that one.

Good call for Warren to heal first the wound, but I don't know how long it will take it though. Because they seems to announce the fight will Wilder next year Feb 2020.
