5841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: REGULATIONS - A boon or a tale of woe? on: January 10, 2019, 02:36:18 AM
Regardless of what the result will be, we cannot prevent this regulation.
The government will certainly wants in control of things, they looked at the crypto and they saw we are going so that rings their bell.
We should be ready because we will be force to adopt in order not to violate any law. At first maybe there's a little negative effect but along
the way as people slowly understands everything, this will bring positive effect.
5842  Economy / Economics / Re: welcome bulls , Bye bears on: January 10, 2019, 02:13:41 AM
Many of us did not profit at all form holding. The opposite happened. loss was very high during the past year. We cannot ignore that it is the current market situation. Up until now, the market is struggling to control the bleeding. We are all left  into thinking if the season of bears is still happening or will the bears exit anytime this year.
I think we already have controlled that bleeding this year because we hit the bottomed already.
Bitcoin just got stable at $4K and that is a good sign that we are going to achieve some good growth this year, an almost year of correction
is over, so most likely it will be the opposite that will happen this year. We cannot be so sure but we can be optimistic, so investing is the best thing to do.

The Essentia January Monthly Update is now available in their latest blog post! Here’s a sneak peek at what the Essentia Labs were up to over the holiday season: https://bit.ly/2RknV0K
Great guys, I see that you have resolved the issue with CMC. And this added one point to the trust of the community.
It is also clear from this article that you have done a number of good things. I am glad that now your vacation has ended )), and we can again see vigorous activity here.

Yes, they have Smiley https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/essentia/

Hopefully all the misplaced calls of lies and whatnot can stop Smiley
The team still has time to prove, though the price has dump so far but things will change easily if they will provide some great development.
Looking at their exchanges, I believe it's capable of bringing the liquidity back, now they have over $200 thousand daily volume and that is already good, they can make it to millions once people came it buying but that depends on the development.
5844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is pumping! on: January 08, 2019, 07:37:13 AM
It seems like the condition today is not so much of a pump, the market still fluctuating and the range of the rise or fall does seems to be stable at the current state. so i think the pumping still not fully going.
That's a normal thing, you don't see pump everyday, there are resistance from a higher price so let's see if we can break that soon.
What good now is that even if we stop moving up, the price is stable, so expect that the next move is gonna be higher ups again, possibly $200.
5845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can DeepOnion hit ATH again? on: January 08, 2019, 07:17:04 AM
Deeponion was literally one of the hype project in 2017, they started well until the end of 2017.
I'm one of the investors who benefited on the good run because I was able to dump at a good price. Now, they are struggling, their used to be very active supporters are gone now after they dump all their onions that they receive during the airdrop, I don't know about the investors but I'm sure they were able to attract a lot of investors that time before they went down.

If you look at the price, they are just like during the early stage now, they started at 3k sats and now the price is 5K sats, but value wise, it has declined.
5846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run?? on: January 08, 2019, 06:53:30 AM
Bull run has not started yet and for this first quarter I think we would be having some corrections along the way and the second quarter bull run will start.  That means now should be the right time to invest in some of the cheap coins and make good profits in some months to come.
I wish they were that smart, to see the opportunity to buy now is how the smart people think.
There is no bull run yet but you do not buy during the bull run, that is not a good strategy, buying during the bearish time will give better profits than just riding the tide. Think deeper and analyze the market is the past, bitcoin can anytime pump and if we are not paying enough attention, we might be surprise and fail to initiate the right action on time.
5847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 Bull // run started ....??? btc going to 5k on: January 08, 2019, 06:43:19 AM
Bull run never started this year, but I believe that price is possible to achieve, $5k is gonna be easy with the current value now.
I don't know if how long we will wait but waiting is the only chance we have in order to enjoy that bull run, as long as the price is stable, there's nothing to panic.
5848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What If Nothing Change In 2019? on: January 08, 2019, 02:00:29 AM
If the price will remain stable, I will stay here.

Nothing change this year seems to be impossible as the market is moving, we already experience the correction so I'm expecting
an opposite movement, probably we will reach a new ATH this year, but that's just my prediction, so if nothings change then I would still accept it as we are not in control of the market, as long as it's still here, we should still be thankful.
5849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is pumping! on: January 06, 2019, 10:20:09 AM
I think because of the upcomming hardfork of ethereum constantinople. many investors are now bullish on ethereum due to that fork and the hype.
But I think after the hardfork the price of ethereum might go down a bit.
Not surprise, everytime there is a big update of a good coin, there's always a pump prior to the schedule.
This time is the best timing to make ourselves position because buying now would surely give us a good return of profit.

Like they always said, buy on rumor, sell on news. Apply that strategy here and you'll not gonna miss a profit.
5850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it mean to buy on the Dip? on: January 06, 2019, 10:08:21 AM
If you buy the dips and it dips lower then you are been forced to become a holder because to enjoy buying dips you have to wait for the market to recover a little before selling
I have different understanding on hoarding.
I believe hoarding is when you hold your coins that you bought lower than the current value, what you are saying
is you bought a coins at times you think it's dip but the price dips lower, so you are force to hold to avoid loses.

That is called a bag holder. Wink
5851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum hardfork on: January 05, 2019, 06:29:52 AM
Wow! Below link is some  detail about the upcoming ethereum hardfork!
https://cryptopotato.com/hot-january-for-ethereum-the-three-hard-forks-you-should-know-about/

Because of that hard fork, ETH will recover and could have a great journey this year.
I'm longing to see another big run, and this time I hope ETH will dictate the tempo and the rest of altcoins will follow.
Any drop of bitcoin dominance is associated with the increase of altcoins, and ETH just got its place back, so it's a start of a positive sign.
5852  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is the richest person? on: January 04, 2019, 06:55:32 AM
Whoever is in control of the central banking system is by far the richest.  Whether it is the Rothschild family or someone else it doesn't matter.  They can type any number they want into a computer so they basically have unlimited money.  This is the farce of the fiat system, it isn't backed by anything and the power is held by a small group.

I am agree, who control money supply in market, is the rischest person in this planet. And as far I know, Rothschild family controlling central bank like The Fed and Bank of England. This family is misterious and they hiding from media.
They are the real rich, they hide from media to avoid to be expose from a possible threat.
I wonder how they live their life, honestly, I dream to be come reach and that is my goal but I still want to enjoy my money with freedom, just like an ordinary people, not like rich people with bodyguards that in every step they are watching you or will go beside you.
5853  Economy / Economics / Re: When the tide goes out on: January 04, 2019, 06:34:45 AM
I would agree with that, it's an eye opener, I myself understands now that shit coins has no chance to grow in the bear market, these coins are profitable during the bull, so I keep them, I only knew they were shit coins when they fell hard and seems like no one is interested in trading them.

Going forward, I believe what the bearish market thought us is to be smart and be matured, we've seen our coins potential and in the long run, we will be able to make the right decision based on our experience.
5854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big this market really is? on: January 04, 2019, 06:20:20 AM
There are a lot of transactions through OTC and based on the above article OTC transactions are not reflected in the cryptocurrency market https://coinmarketcap.com/ since there is OTC does not require 3rd party like crypto Exchanges.

I was thinking, maybe there are bigger transactions done through OTC combine, compared to the total marketcap now which is $130,315,196,527 •

What's your thoughts on this?

I'd argue that OTC trades aren't transactions that are worth tracking. If they don't hit the blockchain they aren't influencing suppy, demand, or the price, no? These OTC trades are just the exchange moving bitcoin one paper from one person's account to another. Nothing's been exchanged, it's an accounting adjustment in the IOU that is banking acounting.

The total market cap includes the $24B that Circle claims is their OTC business because the market cap caculation is the number of all bitcoins in existence multiplied by the price per bitcoin. The market cap includes the entire value of any transaction that could conceivably occur and is not a measure of liquidity. The metric you should be using is called "the float" which is the transaction activity that occurs on a daily basis.

Why should OTC transactions be considered part of bitcoin transaction activity if they don't ever leave the wallet they're sitting in?

I don't care what Circle or Coinbase's OTC transaction activity is until it gets so large that it requires they go buy more Bitcoin in the open market over the blockchain (to handle their internal demand).
Thanks for the well explained thought, I know a little about banking terminology as I studied that during collage, the marketcap  includes the OTC transactions because they are still part of the supply, and IMO, the barometer here to determine how big the transaction is hard to determine if done with OTC transactions, Coinbase can make a statement but it's hard to verify it, unlike transactions that appeared in the blockchain.

Unfortunately I don't think there's an accurate way of knowing how much bitcoin is being traded through OTC, besides these companies publicly announcing them.
I know it's impossible to determine the exact figure but I believe it's higher compared to the total amount being traded in all combine exchanges.

What's your opinion?

i doubt that it is "higher". specially not overall.
however it is possible that in certain times the OTC trading volume increased in comparison to exchanges trading volume. for example at times when there are a lot of whales accumulating bitcoin but don't want anybody else find out about it and more importantly they don't want the market be affected by it.
but generally i believe the exchange volumes is still higher.

My opinion on this is that I think whales are accumulating through OTC and dump in exchanges to cause panic, and if they do the same method again and again, this will only makes them more profitable.
5855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't quit investing on: January 04, 2019, 05:42:05 AM
just ignore everybody who said bad on the market. a man understands about crypto will be able to read the real situation whether it is when to hold back and to start buying. When the market in conditions of falling at this time then holds it for big results better than on selling low-value for this time.
It's a bad decision to sell at low price, panic will cause you to sell your coins.

Being smart at this time is really necessary, when you are smart, you will be in control and you will not allow your emotion to affect your decision.
People panic because they lack knowledge on crypto, and that makes them easily absorbed the negative vibes in the market.
5856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: No bull run this year?! For real? on: January 04, 2019, 03:46:55 AM
The year 2018 has come and gone without a bull run at Q4.What happened Sequencially over the years makes the crypto looks like a farce,  and not real. 2018 was a major correction year and it happened at a time it was most needed.
Forget about 2018, let's face the current year.
We may not witnessed a bull run last year but this year I believe we will have one, so make sure you are ready to sell
and don't regret again that you got greedy. For this year, I'm sure from dip, we have a little run to come, so keep investing while we are at the bottom.
5857  Economy / Economics / Re: thinking of selling or investing more. on: January 04, 2019, 03:39:10 AM
Whenever the market falls it is that time where one should increase the investment so that you can easily average  the price and on the rise can make more profits as your price would lower down as you will be buying on the lower prices a lot.

You can't easily do that. you are implying that everyone have money to buy a lot when market falls which is not like that in the reality. it's easier said than done, just try it by yourself, have you bought anything when price fall down?
That depends on the coin that you investing, you should choose those who has a good liquidity so you can sell anytime, regardless of the market condition. His technique might work for him but not to everyone as trading requires a lot of practice to ensure you can initiate at the right timing.
5858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 04, 2019, 03:23:09 AM
Great game upcoming today between Toronto Raptors vs San Antonio Spurs. Here you will see who's the better between Kawhi Leonard and DeMar DeRozan and also who won the team trade of these two.

You guys which team you think wins the trade between Kawhi to Raptors or DeMar to Spurs? And which team will win this match? Moneyline SAS 1.82 (-1.5) vs RAP 2.09 (+1.5)
The Raptors are getting hammered right now, 19-38 at the end of the first quarter.
I think coach pop were able to prepare for this match up, and the Raptors really miss the help of the Lowry and their best Center.

If they can come back and win this game, then I guess they are really a great team, but I believe their chances is very slim.

Live odds is 8.50 for the Raptors now, those who believe can take this.

82-55 for the spurs.

Spurs dominated the entire game. So far has not given the Raptors any chance. A game that could be competitive as a playoff game is just a walk in the park.
I don't count this a fair game because of the missing starters for the Raptors, Spurs just played well at home and they are healthy.
Once the missing piece will be back, then maybe that's the time that they can compete with good teams in the NBA.
Regardless of the score, this is just a one game, next game if possible, the raptors will surely make adjustments.
5859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is better than Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2019, 10:10:22 AM
I think that Ethereum better that Bitcoin because it has absolutly benefits. Eth faster, most of all new tokens based on Ethereum ERC-20 standart. Ethereum more popular for transactions and the price of transaction is cheapest than price in BTC.
It's clearly better than bitcoin but bitcoin is the first to gain the attention of the people, BTC is called the king for a reason.
For me, I would not bother comparing both, BTC Is more valuable so I also invest in BTC, as I have invested with ETH and some tokens.
We are in the early stage, a lot of things will happen in the future, more development, and new coins will exist, but this market will just continue to grow.
5860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 03, 2019, 10:01:16 AM
I hope Eth can return to the price of $ 300- $ 400 USD, because that could be a sign of a bullrun for ETH, besides that if the price of ETH recovers, it will greatly impact the success of the existing ICO.
I'm sure we will see that soon, especially if bitcoin will pump.
When the entire market will pump, that's what we called bullish because it will all turn into green and people again will start
putting their money in crypto. We've seen that many times already and we should remember than also, instead of being unfair that we only remember the bearish period.
