5861  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020's gonna be lit!! on: May 27, 2019, 05:01:44 PM
Next year is gonna be a lotta excitement for all of us the Bitcoin community and cryptospace at large. Should this be anither "parabolic move," Bitcoin ia gonna soar high because

* Halving is on its way 2020
* and I'm hoping Facebook's "GlobalCoin" comes after that- (this is going to introduce about a Billion people to Bitcoin and crypto)
* Craig Wright's sh*t has been gotten over haha
lastly, another possible China FUD Smiley lol

Make sure you're hooked up onto your seat- it's gonna be an exciting ride hopefully Cheesy

There’s lots of time for 2020 but if the adoption rate of bitcoins continues at this rate, then it’s possible that bitcoin prices will break all records of the past. The Halving of bitcoin is another big event to watch out for, though it’s difficult to gauge how effective it’ll be. I feel Facebook stable coin is not in the best interest of bitcoin, as Facebook will divert crypto traffic towards it’s stable coin.
5862  Economy / Economics / Re: Problems In Chinas Economy & Escalating Trade War Will Cause Large Bitcoin Rally on: May 27, 2019, 01:07:02 PM
China will get the upper hand on these trade wars when the US realize that some key minerals needed in electrical equipment can only be sourced from China. So, China has some leverage to negotiate better deals with the US to improve their situation.  Tongue

Bitcoin losing more than 80% of it's value would put some damper on people's motivation to use Bitcoin as a safe haven, but as the video emphasises, Bitcoin is a borderless currency and it is an excellent tool to bypass sanctions and controls that are being done by international Banks. <Also one of the reasons why Bitcoin is not banned in China yet, because the government is using it to bypass some of these controls>  Wink

China getting upper hand seems difficult even if we take into consideration those minerals you’re referring to, cause Trump is a shrewd businessman and he’ll play his cards well to give advantage to USA in this trade war. Trump has already done the damage by banning Huaweii, and many other nations have followed suit and banned it too. The last line I’ll completely agree as it’s the only way they can take money out of their country without any bank or country knowing about it.
5863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never Give up in crypto (my experience) on: May 27, 2019, 10:31:26 AM
I joined crypto last year as a noob, then started learning how to trade & do  airdrops. I kept learning until I decided to start trading myself. I got rekt on several occasions yet I kept the fire burning. I became tired of the hustle after buying into a coin which was delisted causing a massive dip, I had put in 5000$ in that coin and it turned 600$ overnight. Then I decided to take a bow.

I was encouraged by my mentor not to give up, I took it as a cock and bull story initially, I created a bitcointalk account later, scrolling through some forums just reading and learning from pro in crypto space. I decided to give it a second one try.

I added a few coins to my portfolio and abandoned them. Recently I got sacked from my job for no justifiable reason, then the only thing I could think about is crypto. I checked my portfolio yesterday, my 600$ then turned 7200$. Please always be patient. Buy into coins with great future , give it time, never panic sell. I hope you learn from my experience.

@Kimzenibi I’m very happy for you and maybe your sacking was a blessing in disguise, reading your story reminds me of mine cause when I joined the crypto world I knew nothing about crypto’s, but I used to constantly read here and gain knowledge. We both gained income because we choose to hodl on to our coins, and refused to indulge in panic sales which unfortunately many investors resort to as the markets takes a dump. I see you have not mentioned the coin names that made you rich, if you could share it here it would help us all check thoss coins and invest in them.
5864  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is very likely going to break $9000 in the next few days. on: May 27, 2019, 06:36:23 AM
the current potential is so great seeing bitcoin prices exceeding the price of $ 9,000. well, this is the first time bitcoin prices have exceeded the price of $ 8500 since 2019. when I see this price increase, I am optimistic that the price of bitcoin may exceed the price of $ 9,000 for the rest of the day.

Bitcoin prices touched a new record for 2019 by hitting the 8900$ mark, before succumbing to pressure and falling down a bit. We had discussed the possibility of bitcoin prices touching $10k in June, and given how it’s rising currently we may see it happening. I hope your words come true, and it crosses $9k levels today, but we’ll need more trading volumes to make it happen.

5865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 27, 2019, 03:05:26 AM
^^
It was a good race, even if we didn't saw many overtaking attempts. Monaco track is just to narrow and cars are too wide. It was very difficult win of Hamilton because his tyres was in poor condition for very long time and probably in any other track he would lose 1st position because he didn't had pace today. Mercedes also failed a bit with Bottas by piting him on the same lap as Hamilton - it cost them 2nd position. A bit sad for Verstappen - he was driver of the day, but that 5 second penalty means that he didn't even finnished on the podium.
After failure in qualification, today Leclerc had nothing to lose and he risked a lot. But when he got puncture tyre, he had to drive slower to save his car.

Hamilton pulled of an impossible victory in yesterday’s race which normally we see only in movies, in the end it did boil down to his never give up attitude. I don’t know what Mercedes were thinking about those tyres, but they had lots of Luck and Hamilton driving skills to thank for their surprise victory. There would have been a death of a Marshal in yesterday’s race but, thankfully Sergio managed to brake in time and save him.

5866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 26, 2019, 04:31:55 PM
I can not believe the Indians performance as a Indian Supporter against New Zealand. Only 179 runs (39.2) All wicket where India played with their most strong team. Really its so  downfall by India. And This is the fantastic performance by the New Zealand Balling

I was expecting India to put in a decent performance but never expected them to play this bad, maybe it’s due to the fact that they’re playing one day match after a long break. The total posted by India was very low, and when you look at their batting lineup you do expect them to score higher than this. New Zealand produced their best performance against India, and if they continue like this they can easily make it to the semis of the World Cup.
5867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Care of security and don't store your coins on exchanges! on: May 26, 2019, 11:45:07 AM
If you are holding altcoins outside the top-25 list, then there are few options to store them. Not all of them may be supported in hardware wallets. So the users tend to store them in exchange wallets. The problem is that they lose all of their holdings, when the exchanges get closed down, due to hack or some other reason. Also, traders have no option but to store their coins in exchanges.

@Netnox what you have written here just happened with me, I keep telling people not to leave bitcoins in exchanges as it’s very risky but I forgot I had left deeponion at cryptopia. As all will know Cryptopia were hacked and now they have appointed an liquidator who they claim will clear out funds, however I doubt I’ll be able recover my funds. It’s a bitter lesson for me to loose my funds approx ($2600 when deeponion prices were at it’s peak), but I do hope people will not repeat the mistake I made of leaving funds in exchanges.
5868  Other / Politics & Society / Re: May's Resignation: What Next? on: May 26, 2019, 07:54:49 AM
She should have resigned the first time her proposal failed.
It's a democracy, someone would stand up as a leader.

May’s resignation is not a surprise it was bound to happen, she had miserably failed to get more concessions from EU and lost support of her party members too. Whoever will succeed her will only have one option Brexit at any cost, even if it means a no deal Brexit from the EU. If there is a no deal Brexit then Britain’s economy might completely collapse, and it’ll take years for them to rebuild it.

5869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn About A Fellow Bitcoiner on: May 26, 2019, 05:55:06 AM
Hello people, I am interested about learning about people within the community of Bitcoin and Blockchain. So I have some questions to learn more about you. Feel free to share your experiences.

1. How has bitcoin/blockchain changed your life?
2. What kind of work do you do?
3. What kind of work do you wish you could do?
4. What do you wish to see bitcoin become?

1) Bitcoin gave me financial freedom to quit my job, and I was finally able to take my family on our dream vacation also bought many gadgets most notably IPhone X.

2) I earn from signature campaigns on this forum, and besides that I do seo consultancy for clients and take payments in bitcoins.

3) Not really sure what you mean by this question, but the answer is same as stated in point number 3.

4) My wish for Bitcoin is that it should be legalised in all countries, and adopted by all people.

PS if I take this to court all of your T&C will be VOID for the event as well as any other event that has occurred prior.

They're clearly not going to do anything about it on the forum. Go hire a lawyer and take yourself to court - you would actually get somewhere (potentially).
lol what makes you think I'm going alone? There are more than a dozen people that have acknowledged the validity of my claim and are willing to follow suit. You've worked with David you know if he had an explanation or something to say he would be no doubt front and center as we speak addressing the situation but instead they removed me from their discord server and their staff had been rummaging into my account since I brought this up.

@verusfides in case you failed to notice that was sarcasm from DarkStar, but never mind do file a suit against FJ blow up your money in legal expenses but don’t expect them to pay you back those expenses which you will fully incurred. It doesn’t matter if you read those terms or not, the very fact those were there on the site when you broke them means you have no legal case. Last but not the least your local court will not entertain this case as FJ will not be subject to your country laws, so my advice would be to move on and forget this episode.
5871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: May 25, 2019, 02:35:36 PM
I think now anyway the Game  of Thrones is over. Is it already a time to bet on something in a prequel  story? I know there is not much info about it, but at the same time everyone is free to express his thoughts there.

@thin yea game of thrones ending has left a huge void to fill, I’m not sure which other shows we can place a bet on for the time being. There’s no way you can bet on the prequel now, as it will take at least 1 - 3 years for them to get the show started. I have read mixed theories regarding the prequel some say they’ll go back to 1000 years and show the long night again, others say we will see the mad king, Jon’s parents story but so far there’s no official word on it.
5872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa América 2019 Discussion Thread on: May 25, 2019, 10:31:36 AM
Argentina has always been one of the favourites team together with Brazil to win this competition.Other teams have been a surprise when they have won it like Chile for example. What is good about this competition is that we rarely will see a 0-0 game and that means this competition produces good football to watch.

Messi is back for Argentina and his mere presence means they start as favourites to win the cup, also the squad selection of Argentina has been converted into a meme which is hilarious. Brazil has many talented players including the world’s most expensive player Neymar, hence it’s no surprise that they too are the favourites. What I would love to see is these two teams battling for the cup in the finals, it’ll be the perfect ending for this competition.

5873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are the strong candidates who will get this year's Ballon D'or trophy? on: May 25, 2019, 06:42:51 AM
Hmm, this is difficult question. Let's see my list:
- Ronaldo
- Messi
- Neymar
Failed at UCL and WC so a big no.

- van Dijk, potential UCL winner
A defender.

- Modric, WC runner up
- Hazard, WC 3rd pos, good EPL stats
No trophies

- Mbappe, WC & Ligue 1 winner, Ligue 1 top goalscorer
- Salah, EPL top goalscorer & potential UCL winner
So between these two strikers, I would recommend Mbappe Smiley

I’ll agree Ronaldo doesn’t deserve to win this year, he’s been an ordinary player since he’s joined Juventus, you’re being harsh on Messi he’s scored 50 goals this year he deserves to win this trophy. Modric and Hazard both have underperformed this season hence they won’t be winning it, Van Dijk is a wild card entry but I doubt he’ll win it. Mbappe and Salah both had outstanding seasons, but Salah is my second pick as he has led Liverpool into the finals of champions league for the second time in a year.
5874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket World Cup 2019 Prediction Pool [Join FREE win x BTC] on: May 25, 2019, 03:46:37 AM
Are you joining the pool @Onehash? I'd be up for taking on a fellow sportsbook!  Wink

I just read an interesting article about the 'dirty dozen' match fixers and how the tournament organisers are trying to ensure that they are kept away from players:

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/cricket/9147704/england-cricket-dirty-dozen-fixers-corrupt-world-cup/

I'd be surprised to see this kind of thing going on in arguably the biggest tournament of the year, but the money on offer can do strange things to people's morals.

The Pakistan team looked a little bit indecisive today at bat, was expecting Imam-ul-Haq and Zaman to do a bit better but Azam stepped up when needed. I don't know if they are going to have the power and drive to keep up with teams like England and India though.

Here's my picks for the warm-up games tomorrow:

England v Australia

- Joseph Root: Total runs Over 37.5 (1.92)
- England Total Runs after 15 overs: Over 79.5 (1.63)
- Team with Top Scoring Batsman: England (1.72)

India v New Zealand

- Team with Top Scoring Batsman: India (1.68)
- Total runs India (1st Wicket): Over 37.5 (1.93)
- Virat Kohli: Total runs Over 46.5 (1.92)

What are your thoughts? I'm really looking forward to watching the England game tomorrow - hopefully with a BBQ and a beer if the weather stays kind  Grin

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Cloudbet vs Onehash joining the pool and taking on each other is an exciting prospect, if that happens I’m on Cloudbets team as I like Ronnies insights. ICC Anti Corruption Unit has taken various measures to prevent bookies from getting in touch with players, but somehow these bookies manage to get in touch with players and then they try to fix the match. Pakistan team is not in great form going into the World Cup, and even in yesterday’s match they underperformed hence an early exit is a likely scenario for them.
5875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tottenham Vs LiverPool UEFA Final on: May 24, 2019, 05:40:28 PM
In my opinion, Liverpool's tradition (historical record) is strong in this cup, so Liverpool for me. My prediction is that Tottenham's player will "choke" and will make many unnecessary mistakes.

Last five matches: W-W-D-L-W
Liverpool only lost one time, and the scores were (almost) always tight.
So 2-1 for Liverpool Smiley

I am not a Liverpool fan hence I have limited knowledge about their cup history, but Kloop has lots of champions league experience which will give Liverpool the edge over Tottenham. Liverpool players will remember the feeling when they lost in last year’s final, and they’ll be very keen not to repeat the same mistakes this time round. Pochettino is a great coach but we have seen time after time Tottenham players tend to underperform in big matches, and that’s what makes me believe that Liverpool will win the cup.
5876  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - 🎲 Crypto Casino 🎰 Multi-Currency | Rainbot | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: May 24, 2019, 01:25:12 PM

I know this is one of the oldest gambling platform thread on bitcointalk but I have been going through this thread to fine the history of the  bitdice casino and it very hard to get that may be I will use Google to search for that, and again are there going to be new user bonus on the platform?

What exactly are you searching for if you could write here we could help you with it, Jossiel has already beaten me to Bitdice about us page, but you can read more about Bitdice on Bitcoin Wiki. There’s no bonus for joining up and it’s best kept that way as signing up bonus is often abused by users. If you wish to earn extra simply login and participate in the chat, the rainbot will give you free coins or if you want to earn big prices then participate in Bitdice competitions.

~snip~

I was about to ask where's @Royse777 at, we've been missing you here mate.  Grin. I'm glad you're back again with your inputs.
I was busy with IPL gambling and was also waiting for GS to start. Now that GS is not far from us, you guys will see me a lot here :-)
Other day I lost some money on Djokovic against Nadal. :-P

@Royse777 the match between Nadal and Djokovic was a tough one, I got cold feet and decided not to gamble. I was hoping to place a bet on Nadal winning it just a gut feeling, but then I felt he would loose the match because of his recent injuries but he proved me wrong and won. According to me Roger will go up to the semi finals as he has a good record in this tournament, but he won’t be winning the cup.
5878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: May 24, 2019, 06:59:31 AM
10 warm-up matches left before the commencement of the big World Cup:
I have bet on:
Pakistan v Afghanistan
Sri Lanka v South Africa
India v New Zealand

I am a bit worries about New Zealand match :-P

@Royse777 you should easily win your first two bets where I’m favoring Pakistan to beat Afghanistan, though I expect Afghanistan will put up a strong fight. Srilanka vs South Africa is a straightforward match, and I feel South Africa will win it easily. The last match between India vs Newzealand is tricky, as this will be India’s first practice match after a long break, so I would not be comfortable on placing a bet on them or against them.
5879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 24, 2019, 03:20:37 AM
The only way Pep leaves this summer is if Man City are guilty of all that money laundering shit & FFP cheating. If they were to be kicked out of the CL maybe he would go to Juve.

There’s no official word yet from UEFA conforming that Manchester City will be banned from Champions League, and unless they make it official he’s indeed staying. Pep has only one desire left now after winning the treble he wishes to win the champions league with Manchester City, and I believe he’ll not quit unless he achieves it.
5880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 23, 2019, 04:49:06 PM
Juventus fans hate Mourinho and I doubt the Juve management would want to anger them. Besides, the quality of his work is not like in the days of Porto and Inter. He seems to create a lot of trouble and controversies and ends up getting sacked with a hefty sum of money being paid to him due to the termination of his contract.
I read yesterday that Guardiola's meeting with Paratici (of Juventus) has nothing to do with a potential move by Guardiola to Juve. They were talking about a charity match. At least that's what they say.

Juventus will never hire Mourinho as he’s not the special one anymore, in today’s scenario he’s the general one who’s lost his Midas touch of winning trophies. Pochettino is also in the race as he’s looking for a fresh challenge, and I feel Juventus is the ideal club for him to build his credentials as a great manager. Sarri is being strongly tipped to take over Juventus head coach job, do you’ll feel he’s the right candidate for them?.
