I ve been checking Amhash thread regularly and there is still no info about this issue besides it starts today and ends at the end of February.

Hah, dude, the average reactor deposit is 1000-2000 DMD, that s $100 - $220. Is this really something you should be worried about? Unless you ve planned to deposit 20k which is seriously doubt.

Now seriously, devs put their own coins into the reactor as well. If it is hacked, we all lose. I really see no point for them to be responsible for paying back in case of the hack cause this reactor is NOT a service they benefit from. It is a joint effort to provide better payouts for all of us and to strengthen the network. Joining the reactor is also voluntary. I joined, some other people joined and I ll also respect anyone who does not join for whatever reason.

DMD cloud mining s got nothing to do with actual DMD mining. Funds collected by selling cloud mining shares are used to buy SHA 256 cloud mining hash as well as some other investments. So when you buy cloud mining shares, you do not actually mine DMD, you mine BTC and this BTC s then used to buy DMD which you get as your payment. Devs can correct me if I am wrong.
This is a very smart investment vehicle, it includes constant partial reinvesting of mined coins to ensure SUSTAINABILITY of our DMD payouts. In other words, devs do all the work for us and we reap the benefits.

Regarding DMD in general, I am not sure people understand how precious this coin is. We have a coin with 0 premine, which means no potential dump/run by the dev team. We have a dev team which is hones and hard working, constantly seeking ways to improve the entire DMD ecosystem. Why today?

There are cheaper cloud mining options compared to GM. More importantly, there are options where you can not only get cheaper hash but also you can SELL you hash at a specific time period which decreases your ROI significantly.

For example, I can reach 70% of ROI, then sell the rest of my hash and be in profit. All this depends on a lot of variables but I m just pointing it out so you can have an idea how important it is.

GM, if I were you, introducing some form of internal market for selling hash would be my top priority. All this under assumption you are not afraid everyone who currently owns your hash would immediately try to dump it and leave. In this case, you have more important problems.

There s really no need to create confusion. The reactor will be started since we have collected 50k coins. It ll be nice to get 100k but even with 50k, it s on. So in the end, cloud shareholders will see their payouts increased due to this issue.

Regarding the price, I do not see any major problem with the price, so it went down a bit, these are only temporary variations. Would you feel insecure about Bitcoin going down 100% since last summer? I don't, not at all. It takes time for crypto to develop, we just need to be extremely patient. I m really positive we can reach 100k DMD to fill up the reactor. Cmmon people this is only $100 per person for 1k DMD I m talking about. If you cannot invest more, add $100 to the pot, I m positive most of you can do this without any problems.

Also, option 1 gives you back your coins after 1 year and option 2 gives you more cloud mining shares. I am sure 90% of you here do plan to buy additional DMD cloud mining shares at some point in the future, why don't you do it now and help fuel this reactor.

Option 1 is a joint effort from larger DMD holders to increase minting rewards which ll be distributed to DMD cloud shareholders.
In other words, they voluntarily put their coins into this large minting pot in order for all shareholders to benefit.
This option gives no special benefit to investors, it s just a nice move to support something we all believe in. You get your coins back at the end of the minting period so you basically just lend them.

Option 2 is people using their DMD to buy additional cloud mining shares and these DMD coins used to pay for these shares will again go into large minting pot which will produce additional rewards for all DMD cloud shareholders.

None of these options are obligatory, if you feel you should contribute to DMD community, do it. If not, no problem, we still love you all. ))
