No, I think it don't needs years to achieve bitcoin 1000$ price. Factor that mining isn't much profitable can help bitcoin to rise up it's price. Also another factor is that while many people is interested in it everyday, it's limited number and many user will cause it's prise rise to solve situation. There are many factors for me that gives me idea of why will it's price grow.

Situation is different on many webaite. For example bitpay accept bitcoin payments with only one confirmation. Also there are gambling websites which are immediately adding your coins without confirmation but it doesn't mean they you will withdraw them without confirmation. Confirmation is for to be secure against double spending.

ETH, it's not popular for me now, I don't mine and don't trust it anymore after their so many hardforks. Now many people is mining and talking about ZEC and it's 5 day that I am mining it.
