5881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Truth That Will Eventually Kill Bitcoin on: January 13, 2020, 05:06:55 PM
In the below 6-minute video, it is explained why Bitcoin is a fraud where a gift record is falsely presented to the public as a market item.

https://youtu.be/LlPwmW4XphE

I did not even go to the link and watch it if I do I will just be supporting all these lies, you are lucky this forum is unmoderated or else you will get ban for spreading lies, I pity you because you are ten years late to broadcast this if Bitcoin will die it would have done so in its early years not when it is moving fast in adoption.
5882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: January 13, 2020, 04:06:20 PM
I have Loma over Lopez here, I saw Lopez fight against Commey and he will need to be very fast to be able to catch LOmachenko, Loma is very much used to fighting hard puncher, Lopez has a good right hand but speed is everything in boxing and combines with the power, I don't think he will have an edge against Loma, but of course I will not rule an upset, it sometimes happens, he has a chance for an upset because of his power.
5883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 start of a fresh market for crypto. on: January 13, 2020, 01:38:03 PM
I'm a little relieved entering 2020. Bitcoin has touched $8000. Hopefully a good step for the future. 2020 needs improvement on crypto market. Investors and traders will have new spirit and trust if they find good things this year.

We cannot consider this a safe zone, because there's a probability of going down again, the market goes up and down almost daily, so $8000 cannot be considered safe, we can only be safe in the $8000 level when it reaches $8500, of course, there is still no guaranty, nothing can be guaranteed, until we pass the halving and Bitcoin shows it's real stregth.
5884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Warren Buffet build wealth by investing? on: January 12, 2020, 05:10:06 PM
Warren Buffet. Warren is a self-made billionaire and is one of the most respected men in the business world. The legendary investor is the current chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.

Like many other famous people, his childhood was pretty tough. He used to sell cold drinks and chewing gums from door to door. Warren Buffet also sold newspapers and worked in grocery stores.
Here: https://coinpedia.org/enterpreneurs/life-story-of-legendary-investor-warren-buffet/

What's your point of view on this?

I admire the guy on what he has gone through and how he made a great business decisions, but I don't like him bashing or giving negative comments on Cryptocurrency when the truth is on his face that this is the technology of the future, anyway he will not live up to more years where he can see Bitcoin being used by almost all of the country, and blockchain integrated into every system and industry.
5885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Storing crypto on an implant? on: January 12, 2020, 05:01:19 PM
Yeah, it sounds cool but i would rather use some sort of device outside my body then risk someone stealing my private key by chopping my implant off and my hand with it.

That makes sense it's too risky to do that, once they know where you put your private key you will be the target and not your device, I would not even think of doing such thing, all you need to do is to be well organized and find the best device to put your private key or better do not store all your coins in one wallet, it's always a sound advice.
5886  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTCsurveys.com — Take Surveys & Earn Bitcoin on: January 12, 2020, 04:00:31 PM
Survey sites are not for me because of my location, I am living in a third world country, I used to be very active in survey sites in the past, and I seldom get a survey it took me three months of waiting before I got one offer to do, and I only earn a few cents from those surveys, they prefer people living in a third world country like US, Canada, and Europe.

5888  Economy / Economics / Re: Investments with Compound interest. on: January 12, 2020, 02:52:02 PM
I am recently watching videos about investing and financial freedom. I usually hear people like Tony Robbins say that compound interest is such a great thing. It is a wise way to invest your money for a long period of time. I have heard it from several others as well. But I have no idea which investments give us compound interest. I was hoping if you guys know about it and I would be very happy to be educated about it. I am in my early 20s and want to make right decisions for secure and prosperous present and future. I would really appreciate your words and advises. Thanks

Banks offer this kind of option but unfortunately, you need millions to see a good profit, I don't recommend online investment program because there's a huge risk involved on it, like some posters here, I recommend buying Bitcoin instead it's far more a great way to invest because of the huge profit when there is a huge pump, but of course, the market is very volatile it's one of the risk that you have to take.
5889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: how to filter bounty projects. on: January 11, 2020, 04:33:12 PM
Please show me how to filter a good bounty project. I have participated in many bounty projects, and after more than 1 year now my wallet is a lot of junk coins. please help me !

More than a year is such a long time not to get a good and legit project, better stop what you are doing, right now because bad ICO markets will stretch for more years, there are no good projects now and investors are not supportive of a new crowdfunding now, you are just wasting and even if you receive your rewards, it's still not worth the long wait.
5890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You the local Bitcoin joke in town? on: January 11, 2020, 04:07:07 PM
Now, this might sound strange, but a few years ago Bitcoin was doing very well and people sat up straight and Bitcoin grabbed their

attention. (Around 2017 when the Bitcoin price reached it's all time high of around $18 000 per bitcoin.)  Many people started to take

Bitcoin seriously and they thought it would go mainstream soon.

I was one of them and I told that to everyone that took the time to listen and some of them did. A lot of my friends bought bitcoins at

the all time high, believing that the price would skyrocket to $20 000 or even $50 000 per coin. As you know this did not happen and the

price dropped with more than 80%.

Since then a lot of us Bitcoiners became the laughing stock and the butt of the joke for the people who were too scared to take the

risk.

I hope we can prove them wrong and that we can turn this around in 2020 and have the last laugh, but I hope this is not too late for

the majority of my friends who are holding on with the tip of their fingers.  Sad

2017 is a learning lesson for all of us, but more so on those people who bought Bitcoin at their all-time high and sell it a much lower price to cut their losses because Bitcoin then was losing its value, so we are now watching for the same scenario because we would like to
avoid that, investors are very careful of FOMO once the price starts moving up, they do not want to be trapped again.
5891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How i presently feel about bounties on: January 11, 2020, 02:27:14 PM
I'm starting to think its better to promote bounty projects with low allocation like 30k to 50k because they never failed to pay hunters, even if these projects find it hard to met softcap it will be easy to pay bounty rewards, this might be because of bear market but gone are those day of thousands dollar worth bounty rewards unless new wave of market movement takes place

I wonder where did you get that analysis and that thinking, no way I will consider allocation as a means to find out if the project will distribute their funds to bounty rewards allocation, it's still on the developers and who's managing the campaign that matters.
Small or huge allocation is not the priority but if the team can really the goods that matters.
5892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin experience in 2019 on: January 11, 2020, 01:37:02 PM
Hey I'm back. haven't been on the forum for 1.5 yrs. Been on Twitter. But yeh 2019 was a good year for me in crypto.  1. I had too much in alt coins ,tron, and didn't gain much of it. My stack went all the way up. From btc. Then I saw my stack crashed down lol. It was amazing. But yeh still got a chunk back from hodling in 2017. I have been buying the whole year from 11k down. Little by little. I stayed for the 2020, 100k price well that didn't happen. Let's see the halvening now. Also stayed for the 1 million price prediction. I feel stocks is running n gunning at a good pace. But I'm still stacking satoshis.

You're really motivated to stock up, 2019 and before has been a roller coaster ride for all of us here, I also have the same experienced but there were a lot of lows than highs in the past two years, I'm still hoping that 2020 is a recovery year and so far that's what happens, but we are still 11 months in this year, so expect the unexpected I can only buy more and stock and hope we did the right thing.
5893  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stay away from 18bet.com on: January 11, 2020, 01:17:08 PM
18bet.com is a scam site they stole me and many others.they are a call centre in Bulgaria.they have rigged casino games and they do not pay. They are a call centre in Bulgaria who have a long history of keeping players withdraws.scam 100%
If they have a long history of blocking player withdrawals, then why did you go and play over there? It is your own fault that you got scammed. Before depositing on a random casino, you should have read reviews of the casino. Too bad you didn't do any of this.
Make a proper scam accusation thread with proof. Nobody is going to believe a random newbie user calling a casino scam unless he can provide some sort of proof.
Even if he did not send or show proof with so many bad reviews coming from that gambling site and the way one guy encourage people to gamble here, we can easily tell that this is a scam site and this is to be avoided, this thread should be move in the scam section, where it really belong.
5894  Economy / Economics / Re: A couple of interesting charts about Exchanges on: January 10, 2020, 02:09:48 PM

It could also be a symptom of the increased trading activity, but I cannot see any reasons why trading activity should be systematically increased (also given the lower and lower volatility of the BTC markets), I think it is more related to "inexperienced users" still not familiar with the "not your keys, not your bitcoins" mantra.

Actually, if the share of BTC held at the exchanges increases when the BTC is in the pump phase, it can mean two things: first hypothesis who has the BTC deposits them at the exchange to sell them, or who approaches for the first time he buys BTC and leaves them on the exchange, unaware of the risks this entails.
I am inclined for this second hypothesis because we can see from this graph that the share increases constantly, consistently  with the idea that more people are approaching cryptocurrencies for the first time.

This is a cause of concern, about what has been written a thousand times and what other thousands of traders have experienced in the past, people are still storing their coins in the exchange, are newbies coming in not educated enough or are they still did not understand that you do not own coins if you did not have its keys, if this chart is consistent, we will still see a lot of traders complaining and feel sorry for string their coins in exchange if hacking occurs.
5895  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going beyond $14,000 before May, history repeating itself on: January 10, 2020, 11:54:03 AM
There are so many analysis, and I like that every analysis are all about another all-time high, I will limit myself from doing more analysis and will just take things as they come, I'm ok Bitcoin at $10000 or even more, I just want my current campaign to continue where I will be getting a continuous supply of Bitcoin ina daily basis, the timing is just right instead of investing my own money I have a campaign paying on Bitcoin.
5896  Economy / Economics / Re: Iran/US tension's effect on crypto and economy ? on: January 10, 2020, 05:48:04 AM
The recent Iran-US war like situation has already pumped up the oil prices and it has shown an postive effect for crypto and bitcoin as of now but how will this affect the national economy of other countries if a war breaks out?  Who will suffer most and where will this lead our economy as wars always leads to inflation.

It will affect so many countries because Iran is strategically located in a region where transportation of oil pass, the price of crude oil and oil will drastically increase, and it will affect the price, and countries who depend heavily on oil will suffer, the Crypto market will have perform better because rich people will convert their wealth to Crypto to flee from these regions but the negative impact outweighs the positive.
5897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is This a Scam? on: January 10, 2020, 02:44:37 AM
https://medium.com/@fatsyabad/why-do-we-steal-fe060422bde8

1% in 24 hours? Sounds too good to be true.

When it comes to investing when in doubts don't, you have done the right thing asking us if that is right and we are unanimous in saying that it's not going to make you good and will just lose your money, because no way a company can pay you that kind of interest not even investing in Facebook can give you that kind of interest, it is just feeding investor's greed to invest.
5898  Economy / Economics / Re: How the situation in Iran might impact Bitcoin on: January 09, 2020, 04:30:00 PM
I would like to hear what people here in the community think about it.
As far as I know, when there is a war, people are taking their money out of the stock market because they fear of instability.

I wonder what a situation like this may cause to the crypto market.

There is an existing poll about this issue and you will find the majority of people voting that the Iran issue has nothing to do with Bitcoin pump
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5215731.msg53562513#msg53562513, they consider the pump as mysterious in some ways, although I think Iran has something to do with it or just a coincidence of a sort.
5899  Economy / Economics / Re: Since 2009 There Was A 500% Increase In Internet Traffic. on: January 09, 2020, 04:06:43 PM
When there is increase in population it is hard to fulfill the needs with the hand written process. To the growing population there is need for technology to move forward. This is where internet gets the importance, through internet everything gets interconnected making everything possible within seconds. Apart from this people are much used to the smartphone usage making the internet traffic high.

Yeah I agree in the past people can only access the internet when they are on their desktop and on their laptop but since the creation of smartphone, and wifi, people now can access the internet anywhere and at all times, this is one of the contributing factors why we have huge and an increase in internet traffic.
