5901  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: China cryptocurrency on: January 07, 2020, 03:45:27 PM
I heard that China is bringing out its own crypto in 2020.... please anyone with more info on that

No one really know how and when its going to happen, to be frank! China didn't yet announced anything about it! They have just indicated their interest on it and nothing else. There are a number of articles which talks about this matter. You can visit the below links,

https://cointelegraph.com/news/china-to-be-first-to-launch-digital-currency-says-think-tank-exec

https://qz.com/1747988/pbocs-digital-currency-has-yet-to-launch-bank-warns-of-frauds/

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-markets-digital-currency/chinas-digital-currency-not-seeking-full-control-of-individuals-details-central-bank-official-idUSKBN1XM0H2

Hope this helps!

It seems they are very serious in launching their own coin, and they did not set up a time table and they want to meet requirements, they are looking at the right time to launch their own coin, and of course, nobody can stop or oppose them just like what Facebook suffered in the hands of the congress, honestly it's much more interesting to see China launching their own coin than Facebook coin.
5902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will any new project will do payment with ETH ? on: January 07, 2020, 02:56:46 PM
How can new projects pay with ETH or other altcoins if after bounty, their projects fail and there are no investors. Obviously this is not a good choice for new projects because they do not have enough budget and they do not know the future of the project. Payment by project tokens will still be their top choice. And for bounty hunters, the best way is to hope their project will succeed and be listed in the exchanges.

FYI no bounty campaign will pay you if the project is a failure, that is the practice, to receive your bounty from their token or whatever payment that they've promised the project should at least reach a soft cap, they can give you their token but that be worth nothing because there is no development that is going to happen, I have LBXU but the project was stopped but they still proceed to give their hunter their shares.
5903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the price of Altcoin be good in 2020? on: January 07, 2020, 01:43:43 PM
In 2019, the price of Altcoin has dropped significantly. It is now hoped that the price of Altcoin will improve in 2020. Is that possible?

It's possible provided that these altcoins are not going to the shitcoin category, the coin should have usage and has community support and investors are buying it, this is the only reason altcoins will go up and will accompany Bitcoin on its growth, but I doubt it's first quarter of this year may be on the 3th and the 4th.
5904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling on Mobile Devices on: January 07, 2020, 12:38:10 PM
Have you ever gambled from your mobile device (preferably smartphone)?

I know that some online gambling sites adapt themselves to mobile devices. But I'm talking about applications that you install on your phone which allow you to gamble anytime, anywhere. For Android, I've toppled with an app called "CoinPoker" which allows you to play Poker on the go with cryptocurrency. I'm sure there are other apps out there, but that's the only one I've found. For ETH-based gambling sites, I use the "Cipher" wallet to interact with them on my phone. Per my experience, it's much more convenient to gamble on a mobile device than a computer. But everyone has their unique preferences within the mainstream world.

If you happen to know of good Android apps which allow you gamble with crypto, please let me know. Also, feel free to share your experience when gambling using a mobile device. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

The mobile phone helps us to do our thing outside of our home, but when it comes to gambling I don't think I will allow myself to gamble using a mobile, I'm allocating my time and money if I develop the habit of gambling on a phone there's a chance that I will gamble on mobile whenever and wherever I am, so I don't do that at all.
5905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jessie Vargas vs Mikey Garcia on: January 07, 2020, 01:08:04 AM

Boxing records update for these two great american boxers.
Both are from USA.
Omg, height and reach are extrmely favor on Jessie Vargas but the records with 39-1-0 is favor om Mikey Garcia, much experienced. But still, this is gonna be a exciting match, with height and reach advantage versus on experienced advantage and age also.

Mikey Garcia wants to conquer new territories, like what other great champions have done, but welterweight is talent-laden he knows that when he was beaten by Spence, on his one of interviews he mentioned he is targetting Pacquiao, because of the three welterweight champions, he think he has a good chance with Pacquiao, and Vargas will be his stepping stone to call out Pacquiao, this is my theory.
5906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto history making year 2020 started it's journey ! on: January 06, 2020, 06:53:11 AM

This is cryptocurrency which is an investor's first choice, an easier way for transaction, a digital currency, A thing which is secure. We are known about cryptocurrency in 2009, when pseudonymous developer Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin. Then it started an endless journey. from the opening to now everyday crypto offers a new magical day. This offers new hope to us, such hope is different from others.

Now This is 2020. A year of double blessing, year of great turnaround, year of restoration, year of thanksgiving. I hope cryptocurrency will make a different history in this year- history of it's turnaround, history of investor's smile, history of succeed.

   Happy 2020!

I prefer to wait and see, what we expect might come to happen beyond 2020, it could even happen 2021 but I'm pretty sure we are going to move forward and improve better than the last two years and I don't think that 1 million dollar prediction by Mcafee will happen this year, we are good if we reach $25k middle of this year, I just want and wish for another all-time high this year.
5907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google’s Censorship Of Cryptocurrencies Goes Way Beyond YouTube on: January 06, 2020, 05:35:21 AM
The writer of this article is so right when he says that Google acting in a manner that is semi-hostile, they act like a bully here and trying to make us feel that Google is the demigod of the internet, the community should be in a hurry to look for a much better alternative and the time is right, I support Dtube on their goal to create a better alternative to Youtube made for Cryptocurrency community.
5908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: January 06, 2020, 05:07:42 AM
For me it is, that is the reason why on Fiverr you need hundreds of dollars for a professional whitepaper creator to create one of  for you because this is what investors and bounty hunters will look for, Bitcoin the first Cryptocurrency and those early big projects have their own whitepaper, but it is not the only indication that the project is legit or will have potential, there are many factors and this is just one of them.
5909  Economy / Economics / Re: Grandma tell you to keep old coin in piggy bank on: January 06, 2020, 04:47:02 AM
Remember your grandma told you??

She said the old coins you keep inside your piggy bank would fetch high values in future, but the old coins you keep inside your trusted bank service, $ 1000 would be still $ 1000 after 20 years??

Do you know how old America eagle coins fetch many folds higher values than its face value??

What happens??

Now let’s look at this:

Keep your bitcoin and shitcoin under the custodian bank service

Vs

Keep your bitcoin and shitcoin in your online wallet

After 20 years, what will happens to the value in your bank vs the value in the wallet, and why on the bank is still the same?

Now will you tell your grand grand kids the same advices your grandma tell you, “my sweet child’s, keep your shitcoin and it would fetch high value!”

I don't think my grandma will say such thing if he understands these shitcoins and the market and if he is going to say I am more likely to correct her as this is wrong information that he is advising me, we already have thousands of shitcoins since the creation of the first shitcoin in the market, and until now they remain shitcoin and no hope of development, better do your own research not advisable to keep your shitcoin.
5910  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to select a good bounty campaign! on: January 05, 2020, 03:02:16 PM
Could have been perfect guidelines for those who are looking for a guidelines on what to look for a bounty campaign, it's just that he included these ICO rating sites who are one of the contributors into what ICO has become, selecting a bounty campaign now is like a gambling if you want to be on a winning side, join bounty campaign where the coin is already in the market.
5911  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin will move up if there is a war with Iran on: January 05, 2020, 02:29:44 PM
Seeing the world economic conditions, will bitcoin move to all time high if there is a War with Iran ?
Oil and gold prices are already up within last few days. Will Bitcoin will be next?
The bitcoins prices are 200-300$ above in last one - two days. So you are saying that this increase is also due to the IRAN - US tension. If you believe this is because of this crisis, then who do you think who is buying the bitcoins ?  The Iranians ? or the US people ? or the rest of the world  Cheesy

I really do not see any link between bitcoin prices and Iran crisis.

If I am an Iranian, I will convert some of my assets to Bitcoin, it's a safe haven for me, I can go anywhere with my asset on my ledger or paper wallet, but definitely the war has nothing to do with Bitcoin's price, the member's optimism that they kept for the whole 2019 will make Bitcoin surge in 2020, Bitcoin is now up $300 I hope there will be no looking back this time.
5912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: two gambling games that are players favorite on: January 05, 2020, 02:01:05 PM

5913  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: History of Cryptotalk campaign on: January 05, 2020, 01:40:09 PM
Bitcointalk.org is full of crypto talk signatures.

For how long this campaign started?

I checked this site. This is just an ordinary site why they paying so much money to promote this site. Stealing bitcointalk.org customers?

Absolutely no, they are not stealing bitcointalk's customers, this is absolutely misconception, we should look at it in a positive way, the more forum we have the more Cryptocurrency community we had the better for the ecosystem, it is part of the adoption system, time will come that there will be forum for every country, you should look further and for the betterment of the community.
5914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quality or Price? - which one you look when buying altcoins? on: January 05, 2020, 12:38:29 PM
I prefer buying coins that are already on top of the market, they have proven themselves, and there is always volume and they can sustain their project even in the bear market, it's hard to test a new coin right now because you are likely to lose a lot, you are gambling if you invest heavily on a new coin, although you could be in a jackpot also once it turns out to be great.
5915  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ★★ try to build your own ID without worrying about the bounty or the signature c on: January 04, 2020, 05:28:28 PM
Hey OP, I just wanted to give you a suggestion. If you are going to start posting on mainboards then having English knowledge is important because if people can't understand what you are trying to say then you will never get noticed even if you are highly knowledgeable related to crypto kinds of stuff.I can see lot of breakage on your sentences hopefully you will learn grammar to make more constructive replies if you wanted to build your reputation here.

I got his point even if his English is not that great but still, I can understand it and got his point in my level, compare to other spammers who dod not contribute to a topic or creating a redundant thread, this one deserves attention and credit, he has a good point and I agree that newbies should build his reputation as a good contributor, though he can wear a signature while building one's own reputation.
5916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing in crypto? on: January 04, 2020, 05:17:47 PM
The advent of Bitcoin's blockchain technology has opened up a world of possibilities that were never imagined. People can finally achieve financial freedom by being their own bank anytime, anywhere. In 2017, there was the ICO boom where crypto land was filled with hype with many companies launching their own business ventures. Everything has been about smart contracts, on-chain privacy, and Blockchain-based gaming. But ever since prices started to decline back in 2018, there has been a lost of interest into crypto and Blockchain tech from people in the mainstream world.

It's now 2020, where many exciting events are yet to come. Bitcoin will experience another reduction in its block reward (halving), while Ethereum becomes closer to adopting PoS into its blockchain network. The space is definitely maturing, but the level of demand is still a lot less than it was back in 2017.

Nonetheless, I'm curious to know what's the next big thing in crypto? Huh
The next big thing that I can think of is the coming Facebook coin Libra and China's coin that both are going to launch this year, what could be bigger than this, than two of the most powerful entity online and offline adopting Bitcoin and will try to be one of its main players in the industry.
5917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin fail if Satoshi is found? on: January 04, 2020, 03:25:01 PM
It's now 10 years since Bitcoin was created, yet many people are wondering who Satoshi Nakamoto might be. It's still today, where the creator of Bitcoin has hidden his/her identity well from the general public. All attempts in finding who created the world's most popular cryptocurrency have failed so far. But we all know that there's no such thing as 100% anonymity. A slight error in covering tracks, could expose your identity within the mainstream world.

Now, imagine if the real Satoshi's identity is found. If he/she is still alive, governments would be on his/her tail to put him/her in jail or even pay a hefty sum of taxes. Once this happens, Bitcoin might fail within the mainstream world. Of course, the community is what makes Bitcoin great. But I'm sure that the reveal of Satoshi's identity will have an influence (either positive or negative) over the cryptocurrency's price and reputation worldwide.

What are the odds of Bitcoin's survival once Satoshi is found? Will it continue to operate as is? Or will it fail in the long run? Huh

It will survive 100% the system is in place and so many people had stakes on Bitcoin and adoption is now widespread that even Nakamoto is found it will not have an impact at all, we are good to go without him anymore, it's great if we found him he can promote Bitcoin further but it will not be going to harm Bitcoin anymore, just because he surface.
5918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Beware}:Fake Elon Musk giveaway and how someone fall for the trick on: January 04, 2020, 03:05:41 PM
I stupidly lost ~$3000 in a crypto currency scam.

I am an idiot.

I'm upset that I lost my money but I could have lost a lot more. I'm mostly just embarrassed. I'm a Software Developer at a large tech company and even used to work at Geek Squad so I am very familiar with these kind of scams. I never thought something like this would happen to me because I consider myself very tech savvy consumer.

We can briefly describe this case as an idiot move (which he himself admits), and to make the situation even worse he is "a Software Developer at a large tech company" who is "very familiar with these kind of scams". Really unbelievable, if this is true he didn't deserve to lose just $3000 but a lot more, and if I were his boss he would have gotten an immediate dismissal from the company. If he is able to make such a financial loss to himself, what damage can he do to the company?

Imagine a situation where someone who claims to be working for the company is contacted him ask for some code, he would probably pass it on because he's not aware of the fact that phishing/fake sites/e-mails/twitter are common things these days.

I read that he did not verify if the giveaway is legit, so he let his greed gets the best of him and you are right he should know better, imagine if these scammers can victimize, a developer like him expect greedy newbies to fall for this, the giveaway is a big news now, I have read so many similar threads like that, is he not updated on the trending scamming.
5919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters answers needed on: January 04, 2020, 02:26:25 PM
I will leave that bounty. Because without update I can't continue my work.Because this kind of project turned to scam or failed (Majority percent). Also few managers are lazy and not responsible that’s why it happen.
We have different take on this, I'm ok with only updating on a weekly basis, they don't have to, as long in the final tally and stakes distribution they are all correct and within the time frame of the promised distribution, I have encountered a bounty campaign that counted the stake in the last week of the campaign, but they all counted it right and distributed ahead of time.
5920  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BUSTED] A new type of scam has arrived. on: January 03, 2020, 03:09:30 PM
Stedsm, this is nothing new, is actually a very old method that was once used by e-mails, and today scammers use social networks like Telegram, Facebook or Twitter. Unfortunately, there are a lot of naive people being fooled this way, which just shows how dangerous social networks are and that they should be used with great caution.

I stop using Telegram, never used FB, and Twitter is something I use very rarely. It's not because I'm afraid someone will cheat on me, there are simply too many scammers who send messages every day that it becomes quite disturbing. The best way to answer them is to report to a competent abuse service, which is not a permanent solution, but still makes it a little difficult for them to do their dirty work.

Almost fall to that one but I have seen warning here in Bitcointalk, it's not really new we have threads like this in the scam section, that is why some telegram channels and groups always make a pinned post that they are not going to be the one to message people, I'm still using Telegram but I do not waste time on these people, because they have been exposed, some of them even act like newbies asking newbie question to get your trust.
