5921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 22, 2020, 12:20:20 AM
Good news keeps on coming. That's great.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29200984/nba-teams-expecting-guidelines-june-1-players-return

This is the hardest part for me.

Quote
The NBA and NBPA are meeting to discuss the structure of a return, including how the league will navigate the possibility of regular-season games, play-in tournaments, playoff formats and whether the full 30 teams will be brought back to finish the season, sources said.

Is there really enough time to consider finishing the season?
Playoffs will end June 21 if there is no corona virus that happened.
Which we could say it should be mid-way now.
Are they considering to take out some of the vacation of the players while extending the league?  Huh

This is what we've waiting for, I'm sure the players are excited to hear some news about this discussion. Whatever the result of that discussion, I don't really care as long as I can see some unpredictable NBA games again in this coming month. If the number of people affected by this virus subsided maybe by this June we will hear some news about it when they start to play again.
5922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Underground Casinos Is it Happening? on: May 21, 2020, 11:32:03 PM
Casinos can't keep up with the current situation, they must make a profit even at this pandemic, do you think it's possible that some gambling casinos are already into underground casinos, where they only allow their old and trusted clients to play in a place that they provided, could be a mansion or a secluded building, but of course, they will guaranty all the necessary preactions to make their venue safe for their clients.

There's also a possibility that some governments will allow it because some casinos are being run by the government or they have a big cut in the revenues.
Do you think it's happening right now or do you know of one in your city?

There might be not because of those big-time prefer no to play in the time like this because they value their life more than money. Unless what you mean by underground is not necessary for the players to get physically present in one place but instead, they are having some gathering in like zoom then this is possible but as you can see this is not like the actual games and maybe people can cheat through this method.
5923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your stategy how to grow bitcoin on: May 21, 2020, 11:04:08 PM
Hello bitcoin lovers!
Because of wrong or weak stategy, most of traders/holders unable to grow the expected amount of bitcoin. Kindly share your best stategy how can anyone grow their bitcoin amount?  I believe, thus we bitcointalkers will help each other Wink

You can grow them by investing half of your bitcoin into trading altcoins by learning the basics and fundamentals of how Altcoin trading works. This is some tricky move but its worth more than you think if you just know what you're doing. the reason why most people engage in trading is they can earn some decent amount by not decreasing their capital and regularly add some bitcoins into their main wallet. but this thing requires some knowledge and it is not always winning sometimes your half bitcoin will sink to zero.

5925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An inspirational story of a 19 year old boy. on: May 21, 2020, 10:00:57 PM
Most of us here probably want to become that boy but unluckily hits some shit throughout our life that causes us to use every single buck in our pocket. what has to do now is learn everything from these kinds of stories and pass them to our young people who have some good perspective like us. we don't want them to repeat the same mistake like we did so we tell them what would go wrong if they followed our footstep. in this way, we lessen our regret at some point in our life and we taught them very important lesson that they can use in the future.
5926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: May 21, 2020, 09:32:10 PM
If we cant do technical research on projects to find out if it's legit or not, we need to check for the bounty manager who is driving the bounty. There will be more chances that you will not waste your efforts and will get paid. Ulum, Bublex and bounty detective are few good examples.

The bounty manager has a lot of impact regarding what bounty he is promoting especially those veterans who handled so many bounties from the past. You will have some idea on how good the bounty would be especially the one that manages by Yahoo. the other manager has some good history of managing some bounties too but it doesn't mean their rate is 100% sure. You also need to check the project itself if it works in the future or not to save your time from promoting the unsure project.
5927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2009 coins on the move? Probably not Satoshi on: May 21, 2020, 09:08:23 PM
Why make such a big issue whether it is Satoshi or not?
Some veteran transferred it and it is evident by age of the wallet and the amount when it was mined. Why poke a nose into some ones affair.
Speculating whether it was Satoshi or not has to be stopped.

The date itself makes a big fuss because in our current era we rarely see such scenario that will probably lead to some clue to Satoshi's whereabouts. The theories in circulating in social media make this transaction big news and many have some theories on where could be this BTC transaction leads them. Honestly, whoever this guy is, he needs to be careful because all eyes are onto him now.
5928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling? on: May 21, 2020, 01:00:49 AM
For me, you should be cautious all the time as even if its online gambling its still gambling and you can still lose your money.

Though they might give different experience but the risk is the same, we make mistakes we lose, same with online.

The result would be the same if you get addicted to those two. the consequences you get from physical gambling will also be the same for online gambling unless you are the only one who knows about it but that's not possible when it comes to physical gambling because you are visible to the other players and will be known. in the online gambling, you might save your face but not permanently I'm sure one day your family finds about it and you will need to explain it to them. That's why I'm not gonna risk myself to be one of those two categories.
5929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does an ETH transaction stay pending before it gets dropped? on: May 21, 2020, 12:01:57 AM
The other day I had the longest ETH transaction I've ever had in my life, it almost reaches to 1 day before it confirmed and success. It was the time when the GAS doesn't stay at its normal rate, it keeps rising every hour and when the new transaction has been made, they picked that first and leave my transaction to be mined next time. You only have this kind of problem when there are lots of users who currently send eth and most of the time this scenario would happen if there is some spike in the price of ETH.
5930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A new survey shows that UKs gambling addiction is getting worst day by day. on: May 20, 2020, 11:30:08 PM

It’s also worth mentioning that the report further claims that around 3.6 million people were effected due to someone’s else gambling problem, though I don’t understand how would they be effected by someone’s else gambling problems?.

I am possibly this statement means is the breadwinner of the families have some gambling addiction that affected the whole family income in some way. that's not hard to understand though when you suppose to buy that money for your daily needs and the needs of your children but instead, you use it for gambling. the result would be another 3.6 million people will also affect excluding the gambler himself. to be honest, it's not only men who are addicted but sometimes women has been addicted to, in some cases.
5931  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk is not doing well in Alexa rank because of the Merit system on: May 20, 2020, 11:00:25 PM
To be honest, I'm one of the user who actually found this site in Alexa in the year 2017, it was the year of ICO. many users who are spamming in this community that year got banned or got rid now by the forum moderators for good. Some of them have stopped posting because they are no longer qualified to join a certain campaign because of the lack of merits or the highest rank requirements. The reason why our Rank is falling at Alexa is due to the activeness of the moderator to clean some out of topic posts made by those spammers. there are lots of reporters lately which really help to clean this forum. Our community has improved since then, there are less out of the topic post and constructive replies are being made to avoid being report or tagged by the DT.
5932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling issues? Read this! on: May 20, 2020, 10:30:46 PM

Online doctors and psychologists won't help them who are addicted because they don't meet the addicted people face to face. They can only give advice to people who addicted from far away, but if they can meet directly, I think they can consult about the problem and figure out how to solve the addicting. When it comes to mental, I think the meet will be necessary so the doctors and psychologists can find the solution.

In my opinion, this is better than no one to talk to. the best thing in this world is when you lose everything you have or let's say you didn't get the thing you ask for you will feel distressed and lose some confidence and the first thing you need to have is someone to talk that can understand your situation. I'm really glad that we have someone like this that we can ask for instruction and advise us on what to do in the time of calamity and distress.
5933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi just moved his coins? on: May 20, 2020, 10:05:43 PM
This is not him because at that time there were already some people who mined bitcoin but not as much as it is like we have today. those BTC might be from the one who has mined it in the earlier that year. Satoshi won't give us some clue like that, that was too easy you know but that transaction is worth knowing whoever owns it just to remove doubt to the crypto community. I'm sure right not there lots or rumors about this blast from the past transactions and some people might silently tracking behind who owns that BTC.
5934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance is a good exchange but don't expect forever surge on: May 20, 2020, 09:40:25 PM
That's why we have a lot of coins to choose from and a lot of exchanges to move our coins to. All of them are competing with each other that one may be developed something that will attract a lot of users or maybe some of the exchanges like Binance have something unique that will make their users stay and invest in whatever coins they are promoting. the big difference among the exchanges is their liquidity and massive trading volume every day to gain some trust from the users you need to have these kinds of features.

It's not really permanent, especially that only unique features you have will be copied by the other and they also improved it on their exchange. some developed particular features that attract many of the investors to their platform and others have the ability to make their users stay their exchange for a long time.
5935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best advice for Bitcoin ATH investors ?? on: May 20, 2020, 09:15:35 PM
What advice can you give those who buy Bitcoin at 19k in 2018? Because I still have friend who got in at that time, now he doesn't have the mind to sell and take his loss, what is the best advice to pass unto someone in this situation??

That's a hard choice for him though but I think your friend has a lot of options to choose that's why he thinks selling it now is not an option at all. Maybe the amount of bitcoin he bought is not that high or he doesn't really care if he loses it or not. so it's better for him to leave it there until the price will spike again just like last time. This is why we always chose to invest something that we will have no problem later on whether we lose that investment or not. Your friend is doing the right thing all you can do is cheer him up.
5936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There's something Satoshi didn't think of. on: May 19, 2020, 12:28:00 AM
Bitcoin has become an investment at first when it first created. then after the pizza thing happened, it became coins that will lead to the means of payment whoever wants to implement it in their stores. take a look at what happened, you can see that bitcoin became one of the top currency of the world and used by many big companies as a means of payment and they don't really care if the price will change like roller coaster they still accepting it till now. the good thing is, there are many of them who adopt this method as we are posting some replies to this thread.
5937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling? on: May 18, 2020, 11:35:03 PM

It's easier to get up and go when you are losing but when you are winning and you have valid reasons to leave, still you get a weird look from everyone as if you were stealing their money. That is what I hate most while gambling physically. And you need to buy a round of beers on each win. That makes you get nothing even when you win.

Most of the time they won't make you leave unless you have valid reasons or it will be as if the last man standing fight until all of your money or their money is gone. leaving will only result in some bad consequences and the funnier about it is when staying you will have the bad consequences too because you will gonna stay until you lose all of your money that day. the next day will probably the same for you and so on so forth.
5938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad projects equals Bad results on: May 18, 2020, 10:27:23 PM
This makes me remember Tokoin and tachyon protocol bounty campaign, after hunters are paid they made huge profits from this bounties and still the value are rising and not dumped, so my question is why are other bounties getting ruined after launch? Or after hunters sell their rewards? Probably because they are bad projects, hunters aren't to be blame here isn't it? Good projects will never dumped because hunters sell off

Some project cannot handle their losses after the big dump of their tokens by both of the investors and the bounty participants. That will lead to their project sink at the bottom forever. base on my years of experience in seeing some projects like that, they will likely remain at the bottom forever unless some of the whale's association will choose their project as a means to confuse investors of a bull run, like what happened to the hydrogen tokens.
5939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does Gambling really mean to you? on: May 18, 2020, 10:04:28 PM

1. I wanna ask you guys are there any other definitions for you about what gambling is?
2. What are/is the accurate definition of gambling on you based on the definition above?

To be honest base on my personal experience, gambling will only bring ultimate loss to the poor people because this is one of the worst addiction they can have if they don't stop playing it. because when they lose, they will just look for money to play again in any means or source. I have known some people who work as a laborer about 10 hours a day just to lose his earnings by night in gambling. the worst thing is, some of them are they also lose their source of income, they will sell everything they possess just to play again. You never know what these guys can do if they really have exposure to this kind of scenario and the last thing they do is steal some money or things to sell, just to play and again just to lose.
5940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this what's preventing wide-spread adoption? on: May 18, 2020, 09:30:19 PM
One of the reasons why blockchain technology is not being widely used in the government and business sector is because of its anonymity. Guys just don't know who's doing what and people are scared about it. Blockchain is still an unfamiliar technology when it comes to regulation. We trust the cryptography, the protocols, the software, the computers, and the network, but this trust must be embedded in larger governance systems.

There are making some developments every day that will gonna change people their perspective about blockchain technology. that good thing right now is, there are lots of courses to choose from when it comes to blockchain technologies. the next generation of students who study it will become one of the major contributors to its development in the coming years. In our country only, there are some students who manage to win some awards on blockchain technology competition. incoming years there will be lots of competition like this will occur that leads to blockchain technology become one of the trends in the world in the years to come.
