5921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is ripple bad/corrupt? on: February 18, 2018, 05:06:24 AM
With all the talks about the centralization of Ripple, most of them are likely speculators of the prices of cryptocurrencies.
Do they even care about the technology behind it? No. Might just heard: this is centralized it's no good, that was decentralized it was good.
Now they are replying with "Ripple is centralized" blah blah blah.

Ripple was made with the visions of being used by banks, then why is everyone complaining about ripple being used by them?
As a person, anyone can hodl, mine and trade ripple. Making it the same as every Digital Currency in existence.
Even Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero are subjected in some "centralized" issues.
If you want a fully decentralized-mannered coin, expect it to be hidden in the black market or will not make it to the mainstream public, otherwise, those types are more likely scam tokens.
5922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PSU not powerful enough or am I just stupid? on: February 17, 2018, 11:16:01 AM
-snip-
Seasonic Platinum 460W delivers 38A (456W) of current to its 12v Rail.
Its Stable 80% is 364.8W which is way below 400W, equals instability.

Seasonic Seasonic X Series 750W has 62A (744W).
80% is 595.2W, just 4.8W below 600W, still not enough juice.

I'm quoting you just to register that what you are saying  is nonsense.
The PSU, a good one, will always be capable of deliver exactly as advertise.
[-snip-]
Did you even read my post, the stated power was for the 12v rail. 80% is the safest load because the Processor, SSD/HDD, Fans and others are also using that rail.

It doesn't even requires a thorough (long, agree to this and disagree to that) explanation to tell the OP author: Get a Bigger Power Supply.
38A / 456W in the 12v Rail.

62A / 744W in the 12v Rail.

5924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Overclocking is worth? on: February 17, 2018, 05:44:48 AM
Had once 145 celcius on cpu for 3 hours i7 4770k still working over 4 years
Hahah, then your i7 got less than a year left on its lifespan.

Do not underestimate the overheat, you might not know when, but anytime can be a breaking point.
@OP The Overclock will not break your GPU, but the heat (your Sensors might be inaccurate) or the overclock settings.
The most PGU breaking mis-configuration is the over-voltage setting, the GPU might be stable with a setting but, its down-insides has problems.
5925  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How do you manage your private keys to make transactions? (offline storage) on: February 17, 2018, 03:46:58 AM
2) Having a paper wallet (encrypted with BIP38). The problem: You can easily lose a piece of paper. The paper can also degrade over time. You would be also stuck with a single public key to get payments, so you would need one piece of paper per address... not good if you need to create new addresses constantly to relieve payments. Controlling coin inputs and outputs it's also harder without software involved.
You can make a backup by encrypting a renamed text (notmyprvkey.txt) into a jpg (notmyprvkey.jpg) file containing the private key by compressing it using any 7zip tool together with a couple of real images.
Renaming the compressed file as "photos" or "porn" might deceive black hats.
This is better than just storing your backup in a hidden folder.
5926  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there a sign bitcoin won't experience higher value increase? on: February 16, 2018, 06:24:34 AM
Will there be a sign? Not a chance. But a legit news can tell you "that".
But there is something you must have noticed during these past few months.
Every Digital Currency's "value" can't even justify their true values, simply products of non-existent markets.
So a simple news about legalization/delegalization of Digital Currencies can make Bitcoin and everything else's prices shift.

-snip- Especially ripple, considering the deals it has inked with some of major financial institutions?
Oh no~ not Ripple, just look at the Maximum XRP Supply, then tell me the difference in the number of zeros between 21m and 100b, not even a 1,000b market cap can make it gain higher than Bitcoin.
5927  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What is the best way to create a new crypto currency? on: February 16, 2018, 05:21:32 AM
Using an ERC-20 token is the easiest route. In fact you can now use a lot of automated sites to generate the smart contract code for you.
Perhaps, this is the easiest solution but some persons will be suspicious to your Token because of the fact that 99% of tokens are scam coins.
Most of the Digital currencies' codes are public, means you can copy-paste (Fork) them whenever you want, do the necessary edits, change the name, then there it is! Your coin.
You know, almost more than half of the current mainstream coins are a copy-paste version of Bitcoin.

What matters most is the services or platform you want to offer to use those whatever token you want to make.
If you intended to make a currency, establish a market for it to gain value.
Everytime when someone made a coin/token, the first thing that come to their plan is to make it into exchanges to gain value price.
What we need is a working/established business to use our coins/tokens, not another digital currency.
5928  Economy / Services / Re: Merit review free service (READ OP) on: February 14, 2018, 06:38:10 AM
Total sMerit supply has been decreasing exponentially and I'm receiving less lately,
is this one meritable?: Re: Calming the FUD around G20 and regulations.
5929  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Wallet Recovery Wizard on: February 13, 2018, 10:30:21 AM
I currently don't need these kind of tools, but, I have questions.
How much processing power required to recover a simple password like: flyingdoge1?
Or is it using a different method to bruteforce all the characters?

5930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Add second PSU to my rig on: February 13, 2018, 05:53:19 AM
So do you think it's ok to just connect a gpu and a riser only on second power supply?
Yes, there is no harm by doing so.
You can also lesser the wear and tear strain from your first PSU by distributing the cards among the two PowerSupply. (2Cards/PSU)
5931  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Free Trading Signals by Trade Hack on: February 13, 2018, 03:22:55 AM
@chocolaty
Sure it isn't a scam, it could be something like this:
Probably aimed to use newbies for Pump&Dump movements.
Or another one of those "charity" free trading signal bots/channels.
5932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to do with these two power supplies? on: February 12, 2018, 03:18:51 PM
That depends on your powersupply.
Some PSU has a dedicated 12v Rail for the GPU Power connectors allocated with 80% of the max power of the unit, leaving about 100-150W for other components.
If your PSU is one of those, that might be the reason.

Better wait for those EVGA 1000W PSU.
5933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to do with these two power supplies? on: February 12, 2018, 08:34:23 AM
If you have enough molex/sata connectors, you can use a molex to 8pin adapter/converter to each rail.
Make sure to use only one rail per GPU and a good quality adapter.
However four (4) 185W GPU is a bit of an overload for a 750W PSU.

You can go for 3 RX580 for each PSU.
5934  Other / Meta / Re: Over 20 million views on: February 12, 2018, 07:57:01 AM
Over 19K pages wow....Never seen this thread before. Thanks OP for sharing but i'm not going to read all 19K pages lol

Pretty damn impressive though.
That thread wasn't really meant for reading the previous posts.
We always read that thread for the latest edit in the OP Poll results. That thread was more useful than you think.
Ads in the thread were merely few to none, most replies are comments and "chats" from regular visitors than mumbles.
5935  Other / Meta / Re: Error on: February 12, 2018, 07:41:12 AM
As far as I know, Active Full Members only got free 4 sMerits after Merit system implementation.
And looking at your Merit History, you already spent all your spendable merit.
The 50% sMerit in every Merit received only applies to the new Merit that you will receive. So there are no 50 sMerit in your account to begin with.

In comparison, Active Members got only 1 sMerit to spend.
I (member) already received 25 Merit since this system started, that is equals to 12 sMerit (1 sMerit left) which is listed in my Sent Merit History.

Joe the Pro professional crypto currency day trader here. I’m a long time trader since November of 2017 and I’ve made hundreds of dollars in the market during the bull run.   Grin

After an extensive crypto-screening process, I’ve done the work and uncovered a hidden gem that will get you back into the green.
Wow, looks like a promising project. But I'm not into that.
If only the Developers named it Titties Coin (TITS), it could get more interesting.

I came across something else like Penis coins, VGINA, Putin Сoin, Trump Coin…
Now my collection has replenished)))

Shitcoins evolved from really-funny acceptable meme coins (like DOGE) into these real piece of shit.
JesusCoin, BiblePay, AnalCoin, PenisCoin, what's next?
5937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: help please with Bitcoin Core download on: February 11, 2018, 06:14:35 AM
Well, it all depends on your internet connection speed and the processor speed.
Bitcoin core needs to sync before you can use it,
"number of blocks left 156941, progress 22.12%, progress increase per hour 0.27%, estimated time left to sync 8 days" is pretty self explanatory.

If you really need a wallet right now, you can use any third party wallet like Electrum. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=98.0
5938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Pre ICO Bonus Program!!!!! on: February 11, 2018, 06:04:10 AM
Most ICOs got this "early-bird bonus" and it's terribly common that the term "Bonus" wasn't even exciting at all.

Of course it does helps a lot, if a potential investor is looking for an ICO, the first thing that he will notice is the amount of money already invested in it.
The more closer to the cap, the more tempting for someone to join. This can be achieved by giving bonus for early investors.
But as I said above, new ICOs must find a better approach in giving bonuses.
5939  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Thought Process Encryption? on: February 10, 2018, 09:23:04 AM
Unfortunately, we're not there yet.
Today, we can barely issue precise commands on a computer using that "EEG" Devices.
But still, they are convenient for the elderly and PWD. Not for the public.

There are things to consider and requires further research before we can make a better device that suits what your description needs.
EEG devices were built using our current technology, your idea is not weird at all but it requires a different device that must come up to a different approach.

Unfortunately again, we're not there yet.
First, it cannot read our thoughts or read the words we are thinking, it simply translate the readings from our brain activity into a command.
Second, The readings are not 100% accurate or it can be tuned to read accurately but, brain activity has too many noises. Years of training is a must.
Lastly, it's so way more unconventional than the conventional options we have now.
5940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Realistically -- 8 Coins that will go $50+ on: February 10, 2018, 08:44:27 AM
LSK, QTUM and OmiseGo can multiply at some folds but wont go above $50.
Bitcore and Ethereum Classic can, but do not hodl them for a long term, both projects are plainly made for profits.
Well, a traders must know which coin is "hotdog" and which are not.
