The 2 core / 2 thread is the real killer. Core does this / OS does that and then the next think waits till there is free processor time.
I expected this could create a problem and make it slower down the road, and I am testing it now CPU is at 100% at idle, but it came with wi Nd Ows 10 preinstalled, so this would probably be a bit better with some linux os xfce de. Price for this used NUC model is around $70 and for same money I could get new Raspberry Pi 4 or 400 with 4GB RAM and quad core processor (it's not always easy to find it in stores). I have to say that I love how small this NUC is, it fits the palm of my hand with dimensions 115 x 111 x 52mm. NUCs are generally faster than RPis, if you're comparing the latest ones with each other. If they are one or two generations apart, then a NUC would be faster, but also more expensive and consumes more power. If you were to get the one with the specs that you've described, it will work but a RPi 4 would be faster than the NUC.
I tried to find some benchmarks comparing this NUC with Raspberry Pi but I couldn't find anything exact. All I could find is this youtube video comparing it with older version Raspberry PI 3, but NUC had 8 GB of RAM and 250 Samsung SSD: https://youtu.be/1S6pfz7xQbcMy laptop is older than this, and I checked a CPU benchmark: your CPU is 50% slower. But I use my laptop for everything, and Bitcoin Core doesn't bother me in the background (with 16 GB ram).
16 GM ram is a huge difference and I don't think ram can be upgraded on NUC devices. I would probably mix HDD and SSD like you did, price of SSD did go down a lot but 1 TB models are still holding the price. The NUC he pointed out only has space for 1 drive. So I would go with SSD.
But there is a bunch of empty USB ports and you connect one or more external drives and it should work. In theory I could even add some larger MicroSD card, because there is one port for that. The downside is the faster NUC is more power hungry.
I have one of those power meters, and when I tested NUC consumed around 13W on regular use (not with Bitcoin core), idle is bit less and when shutdown it was 2W for this model. This is decent and less than my older Netbook with power plug, but probably more than Raspberry Pi would consume. One thing that I like about Rpi is that it can be totaly silent (especially Pi 400), and for NUC I can still hear that little fan buzzz, but nothing terrible. I read that you can reduce power for Rpi even more when you disable wifi and Bluetooth, and I don't need that anyway.

That's a case of "whataboutism" if I ever saw one, and those examples have nothing to do with this thread. I hate to say this (and I'm not attacking you, but your argument), but you're being far too lenient on these three members and perhaps a bit naive as well.
I never heard of a case with forum donation similar like this, so I can't compare it with anything better...some people even sent donations to Bruno AKA Phinnaeus Gage, or someone who claimed it was him, but they did it with their own free will. Nobody forced people to DONATE, they never promised to have detailed reports whatsoever, and nobody asked them to provide any evidence until now. I honestly don't think they should be crucified for this, I am not defending them but I have the right on my own opinion to not go with the herd, and I don't think that I am naive for thinking like this. I certainly don't agree that all 3 of them should be treated equally here, and I just wanted to give them some more time for defending.

Do you think it's possible to run full Bitcoin full node on old NUC device (Next Unit of Computing) small-form-factor barebone computer? I found good deals and very cheap devices that I consider using only for this purpose, because it draws very little power, it's small and it doesn't take much space. Some modifications are needed with original device, like adding bigger hard drive, installing light version of Linux OS, and maybe cleaning up from inside and replacing fan. I hear this devices are famous for spending very little power that could compare only with Raspberry Pi. Here are specifications for one Intel NUC kit NUC5CPYH from 2015/2016: - 1.6 GHz Intel Celeron N3050 Dual-Core Processor - 4gb ram DDR3 - SSD 120gb - TBP (Thermal Design Power) 6 W Note that I have decent internet connection (for now) including download and upload so it should be no issues with that. I would just have to replace that 120 SSD and add new 1 TB hard drive and I think this would work just fine. Not sure if I could do anything else except, maybe adding Lightning Node or installing few more wallets like Wasabi, but it should be strictly crypto related device. I found one in one article on internet with similar device Intel NUC Kit DN2820FYKH using Celeron N2820 processor, but this was few years ago when blockhain size was around 150 GB and it was a bit easier to run that. Anyone owns one of this devices or tried running Bitcoin node already, I would appreciate any feedback and suggestion?

That's not accurate. You can simply temporarily attach the passphrase any time you want to use it to the same device without resetting anything.
It is possible that I was wrong because I never tried doing this myself on ledger, and this option was initially confusing to me also. Have you actually used and tested this feature on your ledger device?

To be honest, seeing more Linux-based smartphones would be great. Some more players / competition in that field is needed. If it's just their own take of such an OS for existing Linux phones, it would still be interesting to see what they come up with!
I am seeing several mainstream Linux operating system constantly working on mobile version OS, so I think it's possible but road will not be easy and you can bet that phones will not work perfectly. I never owner pinephone (I would like to have one) and I never tested installing Linux on some old phone so I don't know how it works in daily life. In my mind, it's also possible they'll first release some smaller 'gadget' type accessories when talking about 'hardware' - that can be a very vague thing, like steel backup plates and other backup items. I got this idea from what ShiftCrypto started doing a good while ago now.
I saw them asking on their community channels for feedback what would people want to see next device/gadget coming from, and yeah it's possible they will just add metal plates, or maybe they will piss off Coinkite and Coldcard again and make their own version of Opendime or Blockclock. I think it's important to have some cheap banknote option for Bitcoin like Opendime, Satodime or Tangem. It's going to be fun and interesting watching reaction of NVK after that

Is CoinsData.io offering something more or special compared to all other portfolio tracking applications like Delta, FTX (ex Blockfolio), CoinStats, Coingecko, etc.?
I don't own bunch of altcoins and I am not checking Bitcoin price all the time, but I would consider testing new apps only if they are open source.

I have tagged and supported flags against all 3 at this point.
Well you suggested this few days ago so I am not surprised, but I think it's a bit harsh and especially doing this during holiday season. I don't know if it was so hard for you to wait few more days after new year. I've been sitting on the fence here (very uncomfortable) and honestly can't figure out what crwth is accused of. There were pictures provided of activities that seemed legit. I don't think the original thread promised detailed receipts.
I agree with you, they never promised to present any records for transactions, and I will repeat again... we had much worse situation with official bitcointalk forum donations and new forum software that never happened. I don't think that anyone was tagged or received negative feedback for that. Are we asking for theymos and moderators to show us records how they spent donations? IOTW it was possible (at last for crwth; not sure about the other two people involved) to be completely honest and follow the letter and the spirit of the charity thread and end up with a red tag/flag for it because he didn't do something that wasn't part of the deal. I think that's messed up. I will oppose the flag until and unless actual proof of misconduct is provided.
We can all agree they handled situation bad and this would go unnoticed if yahoo didn't report this, that makes me speculate that maybe he donated or know someone who donated to this charity. I know we are all suspicious to any posts, but I am trying to keep open mind, and I believe crwth in this case when he sad that he was sick, he even presented some receipts. I am not going to support that flags.

One more interesting overview post about local boards from Rikafip It appears that most active member from all local forums in previous period was joker_josue from Portuguese local board with total of 326 posts. That is a great contribution if we know that that all Portuguese local forum had total of 1203 posts in same period from all members, so he made around 27% of all posts. I wish our local board was more active but inflow of new members stopped and that could be one of the reasons :/ 1st place: joker_josue 2nd place: mole0815 3rd place: _Pizdabol_

I created a topic in gambling board for our project owl.games, here is the link : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5378280.msg58797372#msg58797372suddenly i see today the topic is moved to other place called Service Announcements (Altcoins). we want to promote our sportsbook and crypto casino and we support Instant Bitcoin Deposit. we need the topic in gambling board. Mods please help ! I reported that topics to moderator and it should be moved to Gambling section, if Bitcoin is accepted on your website for for deposits and withdrawals. You can also move it yourself if moderators and sleeping or celebrating (in bottom left corner click move topic, and select Gambling), but my suggestions to update documentations and add BTC to list of supported cryptocurrencies. This can be placed on bottom of the page or you can have dedicated page that shows all supported coins.

The words underneath the image were meant to look that way. But I assure you every word was deliberate. Feel free to quote me on that! So I guess this was one of those smart puzzles from you, but you overestimated our brain capacity to read between the lines this time... I will engage in decrypting your hidden message only if it contains hidden private key for wallet address with loaded free Bitcoin new year gift. It's holiday season after all and I think that you tortured us enough this year Crăciun Fericit! Sărbători fericite!

Ho ho ho... I wish everyone in forum including foes, allies and ignorables Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Remember to share some bitcoin love with your family and loved ones this holiday season

Any feedback on pwall.org as a paper wallet generator? Didn't really see a lot of negative, but still hesitant to trust.
I never hard about this paper wallet generator website before and I would be careful using anything new, even if it is open source. There was one paper wallet generator last year if I remember correctly that turned out to be exploited and unsafe, so it can happen again. bitaddress.org is well known for generating paper wallets for Bitcoin, but whatever website you use remember to always use it only offline.

Flag supported. I think that I am slowly developing allergic reaction to anything related with facebook/metaverse including this lame facemeta token scheme. Inspired by something doesn't mean that it's ok to steal their text, use it for your own project and do plagiarism. It has 60,000 owners, you insult these 60 thousand people, do you realize?
Does 60,000 ''owners'' also own all premined tokens or is it just you and your friends?

Maybe Cyrus is working on Northern Australian time and weather conditions, because I think they have autumn/fall in May and June, so maybe we need to wait for end of June 2022 (I hope not). Other option is that he operates from Southern Africa region that has autumn season around April, that is more acceptable than Australian version. I also heard that island Sommarřy in Norway is removing and erasing time from existence, so I think this would be the perfect place for Bitcointalk Youtube channel headquarters.

So, the temporary passphrase option is not for long term hodling, right?
No. Temporary only means that passphrase will be only temporary used, so when you turn your device off and turned it back on it won't be available on device (it is on blockchain). Only way to add this account with that passphrase is by importing it on new device or if you do reset of your old device. You can hold coins in addresses generated this way for however long you want, short or long term. Like, after the given duration of a temporary passphrase session is over, what happens to the coins on those addresses?
Coins are never stored on your device but they are on blockchain, it's just keys and PIN codes stored on device. There is no duration or expiration time for passphrases, they are permanent. PS I never personally used passphrase option for ledger wallet because I don't like it's connection with PIN code. You also need to keep passphrase in physical backed form and separate from your seed words backup. Passphrase are good for improving security if done correctly, but they do add extra level of complexity so I don't usually recommend everyone to use them.

Is this the final countdown or what? I don't see anything new on youtube channel and I don't know where exactly should I Go or stay? You know you are slowly killing us like this Cyrus right... have some mercy please.
