5921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: August 01, 2019, 02:43:50 PM
Occasionally, pure brilliance and talents do pay off too. That was the case with Ajax in 2018/19 Season, they were one of least valuable team but did pull off great wins against several money giants in the UCL.
The big teams use the money at their disposal to acquire the most talented and brilliant players, making their teams mostly untouchable to the smaller teams.
Just like i said before, it's not to say upsets do not happen, but hardly do they, in the case of Ajax and a few other teams mentioned above they have actually managed to pull off a few upsets here and there, but they can hardly claim the title, except on rare occasions that would hardly ever repeat itself.
I've read a good analysis of Liverpool financial conditions which more or less tells that they've decided to have a quiet transfer window at this moment and will probably spend more in the next transfer window. They decided to use the money for something else.
And that was the sort of transfer business i expected from Liverpool this window, they had defensive issues the last time and went all out breaking the bank to get Virgil and I think they are reaping the dividends, I think they are strong in almost all areas and need not spend so much in this transfer window.
5922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Liverpool VS Man. City, 2019 England Community Shield, By a Fan of SEER on: August 01, 2019, 02:20:22 PM
It may not be the most important match in the world, but you and I know that the both teams would be looking to kick off the season on the front foot and a win for either of them would actually do that.

Judging by pre season form, I think Manchester City has the upper hand against Liverpool come Sunday, out of all the pre season games played, city lost Just ones, while Liverpool won just once, this though may actually count for nothing on Sunday.

Pep knows how to win trophies and I think he'll be doing just that come Sunday.
5923  Economy / Economics / Re: Advice on how best to protect your capital on: August 01, 2019, 01:47:56 PM
The ironic thing is that as much as we really give good advise to those newbies around, they still fall for the old trick here
They fall for such tricks because of greed and impatience, as far as I am concerned, greed is the major causal factor of scams, paltry knowledge also is another factor too, when newbies refuse to read and learn from threads such as this, it leaves them open to scam.
99% you are going to lose your capital as ICO investor because IEO took the place of it and hyip still existing onto it.
It's still amazing how people still invest in icos/ieos, to me it's like a case of throwing your money into the ocean, hoping it does come back to you.
5924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why I am so frustrated with bitcoin on: August 01, 2019, 01:21:03 PM
Please as an altcoin investor, please stop hurting us, this is so damn cruel.
You hurt yourself when you believe you can make quick money from altcoins/icos, most altcoin investors lack the patience and knowledge required to invest in the bitcoin, thus they look for escape routes in the altcoins, but you're quick to forget that clearly almost of them lack value, stability, usecase etc, the bitcoin would always remain miles ahead of any other cryptocurrency.

Rather than whine and whine, I'll advice you sell your altcoins and use them to purchase bitcoins, sounds better to me.
5925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fell for FUD. Stand your ground bitcoiners! on: July 31, 2019, 10:44:53 PM
Most of the people who makes these speculations too are most at times the BTC whales and they just want to induce panic sell so that they could bag in more for the future. Just think of it  the last time you heard BTC is gonna die. They are just playing with your mind and its up to you to make the right choice
We can't stop the spread of FUD in this network and thats for sure, with the network being decentralized and highly volatile, there'll always be times when fake news would spread panic and uncertainty in the hearts  of investors.

Now that's the reason why they must understand that's it's only a minor trick to get the price low so some particular set of people(whales)can buy at a lower price before normalization.
I usually take good advantage of this period though(buy when the rumor hits the market)
5926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffett's obsession with physical things, gets in his way to see the gem on: July 31, 2019, 04:51:49 PM
Every now and then, Warren Buffet has one negative thing or the other to say about the bitcoin, and I keep wondering why someone who shows no interest in the network, should keep making comments about it, maybe probably this is an attempt at spreading negative news about bitcoin.

Warren doesn't need the bitcoin(he is wealthy already), the bitcoin network likewise doesn't need him
5927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's bitcoin worst case scenario if Libra will be successful? on: July 31, 2019, 02:17:07 PM
I do not think there'll be any worst case scenario for bitcoin if Libra becomes successful, and thats something i doubt will happen.

Libra may end up being the number one altcoin, but that would not put it ahead of the bitcoin in the cryptocurrency pecking order.
Imho libra would never be a determining factor to bitcoins progress, adoption nor price. Not to talk of how facebook/libra would defy anonymity and that's something real enthusiasts detest.
5928  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos, can you drop some stats when you have time? on: July 30, 2019, 01:09:13 PM
P.S. Still on vacation so i'm taking a beer for all of you out there working and reporting Wink
Lol, this made me laugh out, make it snappy already,so spammers don't start having field days.

When it comes to implementing or changing policies on the forum, theymos is anything but fast and we've seen that already on numerous occasions, and I wouldn't think it counts as a disadvantage, as its down to taking time to make sure everything is set before implementation.
The report badge would definitely come and the good thing is it wouldn't stop users from reporting; instead it'll spur them to do more, to see who takes the lead when it pops out Grin
5929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tired of all the bullshit charts people spread... on: July 30, 2019, 05:25:43 AM
You don't have to, chart are based on their own analysis, of course you can make your own and just disregard the chart if you don't agree with the TA.
The market is full of speculators and experts, but that does not mean they are right all the time and we should follow them, there's nothing we can rely but ourselves and we should trust out own.
Exactly what the OP needs to understand, there is no need getting into arguments with someone about his or her own strategies, as long as its working for that person and you're not compelled to follow suit then it's fine.
That's not to say trading strategy works all the time or is reliable, but if you have tried out a particular one, and you believe it works for you, then keep using it, it will help build your confidence in trading.
5930  Other / Meta / Re: 1745439 ban for Junior Member. To be or not to be.. on: July 30, 2019, 05:10:50 AM
Opps.. I even dont remember that .. So sorry, if impossible to recover acc with penalty, please close theme
So you actually forgot, too bad. The only penalty(for plagiarism) is a permanent ban(which you've received), and it's impossible to recover your account, it can only be possible if the banned user is a quality and a positive member of the forum(and the plagiarised posts was way back), such users might be considered, but I doubt you're any of that.
5931  Other / Meta / Re: The problem begins and ends with YOU. on: July 30, 2019, 04:59:31 AM
I have been here for around 2.5 months now - unfortunately its a fact that - especially when it comes to down to signature campaign stuff etc - people act like they were god - NO, this is no hate against any campaign manager for not letting me in or so - I dont care at all... Its just the attitude of many of these guys... If you just read through many of those posts... its obvious what I am saying, arrogant behaviour. And what for? $10 a week? $20? Wow... Lord of the ***
It depends on the campaign you're talking about, there are some renowned bounty managers in the forum like yahoo and hamphuz, and I think they do their job pretty well, without acting like "gods".
The thing is most times people usually do things the wrong way, for example advertising when a slot isn't open, or answering questions meant for the bounty managers, that can lead to them warning against such, and I doubt it's wrong

You'll need to explicitly tell us the characters you dislike in the managers you've come across.
And another thing is selecting new members into campaigns, some(bounty managers)do it by merits, others frequency of posting and of course quality, it varies, based on the managers choice.
5932  Other / Meta / Re: Spam, abuse of multi accounts, account farming on: July 28, 2019, 03:42:13 PM
You ought to have simply reported them all to a mod, or make their usernames clickable(in form of a link)if you wish to make a thread about it(though I see no reason for that).
5933  Other / Meta / Re: I am on the way to Hero Member rank. Within less than 2 years from register day on: July 28, 2019, 05:51:32 AM
If this post is geared at encouraging others, then it should be moved to the beginners board and if it is otherwise, it'll be better to wait till you're a hero member to tell us your story/achievement.
5934  Other / Politics & Society / Re: uhhh, so like when are we going to overthrow this entire $hit $ystem on: July 27, 2019, 12:57:18 PM
You do not need to write in capital letters to pass a message, and I do not understand the reason for this rant, it wouldn't stop fiat from being printed.
5935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Technology Disaster on: July 27, 2019, 12:41:09 PM
What if the person holding private key is dead or met with an accident and lost memory or the person gets Alzheimer?
Crypto investment is quite risky and I know the part of we need to always protect ourselves, but we all have loved ones we trust, there are one or two people we can entrust with our crypto funds, in case we die, the thing to do is to educate those persons if they lack crypto knowledge, of how to use the system, what a private key is. etc. That way you'll be preparing them to handle your funds quite well In case something bad happens.
In case of centralised currency there are nominees of the account and ways to get access but, here one has the monopoly on his/her funds. Which is total good and even I like the fact that I am the only one accessing my funds. But, what if any such situation fits in?
The thing with centralized currencies is that when we put up our money in the banks, we are always alert to adding a next of kin who'll inherit out funds if we die, but do not forget that crypto wallets also provides such features in its multi signature wallet which allows you to share your private keys with maybe two of your most trusted family members as well as yourself, that way if you're gone, one of them would not be able to access your funds single-handedly without the other, it adds an extra layer of security.
5936  Other / Meta / Re: Ingram token is encouraging bounty spammers to create topics on: July 27, 2019, 12:20:29 PM
It appears that Ingram token is encouraging people to create topics promoting their airdrop. I've requested 3 topics deleted so far in the Bitcoin Technical support
They are recruiting noobs to promote their shit airdrop and in the process spam the forum with worthless stuff, what's most annoying is they are in every section, they do not even care to post such in the appropriate section, sheer laziness.
The administrator said they will remove the part about posting a topic on Bitcointalk fpr a 200 token bounty. I hope that he keeps his word.
Let's hope they do so and real quick, it's not like a million of the tokens would be worth anything anyway.
5937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: July 26, 2019, 02:04:33 PM
I see that there are many people from Philippies in this thread. I know how passionate about basketball you're, but I don't see how your team can reach next round. Ok, you're probably stronger than Angola, but to reach next round you need to wing against Serbia or Italia, what is hardly possible in my opinion. Anyway, good luck for your team, it would be amazing to see you going further.
I know the Philippines faithfuls would be backing up it's team to go through, and we've got quite a number of them on this thread and on the forum, but I scarcely see how possible that is.

It would indeed be a miracle if they make it to the next round, and if they do, that will be about that for them, but in sports it's hard to predict the future.
5938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 26, 2019, 09:27:51 AM
Lampard was an attack minded player and hopefully he brings that into his style of coachiing too. He's the club's top goal scorer and spent most of his professional career at Chelsea that only means he knows Chelsea's in and out and our type of football
This is a big plus for Chelsea in signing Lampard, I always think its cool when former midfielders coach teams, they tend to bring in a wonderful brand of football, and that's cos midfielders are actually one of the most intelligent people on the pitch(creativity), they understand the game the most and they bring it to their coaching career, guardiola is a very good example.
.
They'll be appreciated unlike Sarri, Lampard is one of ours and we'll always love and respect him.
This would also be another advantage to Lampard, he is a Chelsea legend and a fan favorite,he will be given that respect and a more relaxed environment to work in.
5939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities you probably don't know were(are) aggressive gamblers on: July 26, 2019, 04:29:09 AM
Ain't no wonder as their lifestyle change, they are looking for some things to fill such a boring life they have( maybe). But I've never thought that they spend much time in gambling rather than to their family.
They have a lot of money to enjoy and finding gambling is the best place for them to stay and keep their mind active.
This celebrities are very rich and have a whole lot of money to throw around, I think they simply gamble for fun or as a competition between their rich friends, though due to their wealth, their stakes go very high.
I am not surprised they gamble and I see nothing wrong with it, the fact they are celebrities doesn't make them less of humans, we all get the urge to gamble once in a while, then why not them.I also doubt they spend more time on gambling than their families, maybe their career, but not gambling.
5940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: July 26, 2019, 04:13:46 AM
For those fixtures, anyone that qualifies is just adding to the list, they wont go far. sometimes history might look irrelevant but not in football
Definitely not all teams that make it to a tournament expect to win it, a lot come as underdogs while the big teams enter as the favorites.
Smaller teams do hope they can upset the big boys though, but in the European club competition, it hardly happens.
The top teams are not only buying the best player but manage them with the best resources, medical, technical and improved football science, good coaching crew that these teams cant ever afford
I usually tell my friends that modern football is run by money, this days all top teams spend so much money on players, even 'traditional" clubs like Manchester United and Barcelona, who hardly spend so much on players previously, have joined the trend, the football market has been heightened, so to stay as a top club, you must spend crazily, thus making it so difficult for the smaller teams to compete.
