Oh well, totally no surprises last night. Even Roma and Ajax drawing honestly was just a normal result, kudos to the Italians for beating their more fancied opponents though!

I didn't watch any games but very happy with the outcomes as I parlayed both English teams and got it nice on a big bet;)

Made up for my big losses on Dortmund!
5922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Love the bad news on: April 15, 2021, 04:00:50 PM
This was the case last 2018 where a big Japanese exchange has been hack and just after a few hours after that news has been published, the price of the BTC in the market has dramatically subsided and it was almost a red market every day. But today, this kind of event will rarely happen because things have changed a lot since then. there are many companies that are involved in Bitcoins now and these guys are not playing around. As you can see, they are the main reason why the price has gained a historical All-Time High.

I don't remember this at all actually. I thought it was just the bad news about China banning Bitcoin again in 2017 plus all the forking business going on with civil war supposedly tearing up the Bitcoin community (plus the usual energy expensive mining activity that was causing global warming hahaha).

You're right though. I like bad news. Keeps our market healthy:)
5923  Economy / Speculation / Re: OK my apology Bitcoin is not a PONZI but I still call it a huge bubble on: April 15, 2021, 02:47:06 PM
Hope OP doesn't have to feel the need to make another apology thread down the line and say he's sorry for calling it a huge bubble;) I mean you know guys I like to see people having different opinions and it's so fun to read all these bad news and FUD. If everyone was shilling BTC to the sky every day in every post, I would be wary;)
5924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: April 15, 2021, 02:13:00 PM
Anybody else wasted their Freebets from Multi Magic? I put it all on Dortmund thinking hey maybe Haaland gets another hattrick. I almost bit my tongue when penalty was given sheesh!

Switched off after that I knew they would lose:)

Saints/Leicester match, don't forget to bet (opt in promo first)!
5925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 15, 2021, 12:54:09 PM
I didn't expect that Bayern would not get into the next round of the Champions League! PSG are good, I'm happy for them... So PSG token will work for some time... I recommend to buy it a few days before the game, several times I managed to earn good money on it! Wink

I expect a Real Madrid win today! Grin

I meant to ask you about this, were you referring to the PSG fan token the same one that Juventus and Barcelona also have from Iqoniq? I actually have been tempted to get some of my own (for Barca) but I stayed away because IQQ was quite shady in my opinion, despite launching their ICO already and getting some good traction.

Did PSG token really fly?Wink
5926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 15, 2021, 12:22:40 PM
I have said it before and I'm going to say it again. Real will play a tough game tonight, Liverpool will not qualify it win the match, for sure, Real have goals to score leaving Liverpool helpless.
Despite Real Madrid form this period, they, they won't find it easy to beat Liverpool.

Well it turned out as you said but like we both predicted, it wasn't easy at all. You could see a lot of their players playing through pain and injury. Zidane took some off for those but also for tempers flaring up.

Huge for them and I know they'll be preparing for Chelsea. The weekend will be really important for a lot of teams now in top 3. Getting ready for my big bet:)
5927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB will remain valuable for a long time on: April 15, 2021, 10:15:54 AM
Fellow Binancians,
Binance will list the Coinbase Stock Token (COIN) following Coinbase’s official listing on NASDAQ. We will post a further announcement when the COIN/BUSD trading pair is open on Binance. Users will be able to trade fractional Coinbase stock on the Binance website.

It should be noted, however, that the Coinbase Stock Tokens will not be available to all. Users living in China, Turkey, the United States, and other restricted jurisdictions will be unable to trade COIN.
[/quote]

This will be big but I wonder just how big. It's a historic event for sure and maybe we should wait for price to settle before going in. $300 seems like a good buy if we sort of wait for the dip I guess? Won't mind holding some if BNB is worth more than it, surely COIN will be a little higher in value overall? Seems my jurisdiction allows as I can see it on Binance.
5928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If BNB will reach $500, what's next? on: April 15, 2021, 08:18:44 AM

You are right  Demand for Bnb is now increasing due to Bsc. The hype created with bnb is like the eth of 2017 to me. There has been a mixed response from everyone about Eth's current transaction fees. Since eth fees are much higher now, all the projects are looking for another best way, in that case bsc is helping them.

As a result now a lot of new old projects are coming to bsc. And the biggest advantage of bnb here is binance exchange, many projects are quickly moving to bsc in the hope of listing in binance.

Hundred percent agree here. I think ETH is right now correctly priced, because of the huge amount of utility that derives on the platform (defi or no defi it has a lot of other dapps and with 2.0 coming gas fees are going to go away) but the 2017 price was pure hype driven. Once defi dies down what use will BSC be for except a clone of ETH?

I didn't really take that into account, but you are definitely right. As far as I know both squads tonight are more or less complete, which gives City a slight advantage as their team is just incredibly strong.

Dortmund's offensive is also insane if they are in their best shape possible. Considering Haaland is still looking to score record breaking numbers, I assume he'll go nuts tonight. Just needs some decent players on the wings. So far he has scored against every team. Since he didn't score in the first leg, time to score for him today!

We both assumed wrong in the end. I put my big freebet on them and lost it all:)

With Barca out and BVB out, I'm now hoping City win this. I took the City Quadruple special from Sportsbet (25x) a few weeks ago, the EPL title is most likely theirs and I can't see how they can lose the cups so now they just have to defeat PSG and Chelsea/Real Madrid.

I won't be happy or sad to see them get it, but at least winnings will take my sadness of Barca away:)

Villareal play at home but they got super lucky last leg with the penalty. What do you think guys, Dinamo Zagreb the surprise package and go on to win? A lot of potential upsets here, the only team I'm certain of going through belongs to Ole Gunnar Solksjaer;)
5933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: /r/Wallstreetbets allowed discussing Bitcoin on: April 15, 2021, 04:48:45 AM
Oh that's nice to hear. I thought they already had a crypto arm anyway didn't they? I mean, weren't they the same guys behind the original dogecoin pump? I wasn't following the Gamestop thing closely enough but I understood the doge pump was mainly from the same guys in that group.

To the moon;)
5934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If BNB will reach $500, what's next? on: April 14, 2021, 02:40:04 PM
BNB right now is actually burning and keep holding the ATH.. it will probably going to much price within this month since its still at top 3 in coinmarketcap.. Well for now i cant tell more since this alt season really making this project become valuable.. I hope there are no manipulation will happen afterwards.. And also congrats to those who keep holding BNB, they are really now gaining more profits in it.

Burning but that's mainly because of hundreds of IDOs launching on all the BSC platforms. Total ICO mania just calling it an IDO instead of what it really is. They can add all kinds of wrapping and staking to qualify but it's pretty clear this pump for demand is fuelled by new tokens launching every day.
5935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think bear market will come? on: April 14, 2021, 02:03:14 PM
If we look at the bitcoin chart it still doesn't show any weakness. We see a few price drops but  still recovering and surpassing the previous all time high. This is a sign that the bull power is strong and it would take some time. This bull run  is differrent from the previous bull run that happened on 2017.

Depends on which chart you're looking at I guess. A lot of bears would say the momentum on each high seems to be getting weaker (nothing compared to Elon pump or Biden stimulus pump that is).

And if we remember this has happened since December, we're 5 months into the bull already. Some say this is the halfway point and we're not going to enjoy it much longer.
5936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB will remain valuable for a long time on: April 14, 2021, 12:52:04 PM

I do agree with all of your points mates, BSC has become a store of value for some people. People bought BNB are not only caused by the solution that already offered but BNB gives so many benefits to its token holders compared with another exchange token. The scalability problem is not a big problem as long as it can be forked to increase the blocksize but the main problem was whether the community wanna fork it or not.

That will need a lot of effort to prepare the fork but it's not impossible to be implemented on ethereum to increase the block size. BNB may become the next ethereum next years

Store of value? That's what people used to think of ETH in 2017 when they put it in at around 1400. It's not a store of value if it drops to $100 which was almost 6% of ATH, and several times too.

Bitcoin at the worst crash was only 15% of ATH and that also didn't last long.

BNB is way way too new to call it store of value.
5937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto offer riches overnight? on: April 14, 2021, 12:01:45 PM
yeah, that's the hodler way. Doing data research and following project progress information makes us want to hold on to the investment we make longer and longer. Time is needed for the project to grow even higher.
It took BNB 4 years to move from its initial price of $ 0.1 ($ 2 when entering the market Nov 2017) to its current price of $ 560.

Also important to note that it took it a few weeks to double in price now, so I'd be extremely cautious about expectations of it. It's so crazy to think it used to be given away and burned in the millions during Binance trading competitions! So yes, I'd be very, very cautious about moving value to BNB now given how HOT it is. People will be keen to let go when the rally looks like it's over.
5938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 14, 2021, 09:47:56 AM
Nobody talking about Sevilla because we all lost a lot of bets with them during the season, drawing especially hurt me every time I picked them to win. And last night's match showed just how unpredictable they are. Still won but had to come back so many times. They may very well be in Europe spot but to win the title? They don't have the consistency a champion needs.
You rightly said that Sevilla is a very unpredictable team, so in the case of this team, you need to remember that if you place a bet on it, it's better to do it with a handicap (0), so at least in case of a draw there will be a refund. But there are teams that are better not to take for bets at all, for me Sevilla is one of those teams.

Doesn't matter if it's Sevilla or any other team then. This is just a preferred style of betting. If you like push handicaps then you also like Draw no Bet markets. I do take them every now and then depending on the odds (AH of -1 or -2 is one of my most often) selected.

As I said, Sevilla screwed us all early in the season, which is why no one's considering them a serious La Liga contender.
5939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My head hurts from all the platforms out there, how do you pick? on: April 14, 2021, 08:41:11 AM
Don't stake or farm them.

When you choose to do this, you either have to stake it with a company and trust that they'll keep your BTC safe and return it to you if you ask for it (we all know exchanges won't do that in worse case scenarios).

Or you have to "wrap" it with one other network and use the wrapped tokens to yield farm BUT you have to trust the smart contracts are secure. And I don't trust anything except BTC network.
5940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 14, 2021, 06:36:52 AM
@W Jr. all Bayern needed was one more goal to proceed in the semi finals, but they failed to show that hunger which made them win the champions league last year and as a result they were eliminated. Also Liverpool comeback cannot be guaranteed or can’t even be ruled out, and this unpredictability is making this one of the best match to watch in champions league this season.

PSG were not the favored team but only by a little bit. They are still finalists as are Bayern Munich, so I still don't think it was a huge upset. If Dortmund can spring the surprise they will be the real upset. The same as in Liverpool-Real, these were also finalists from a couple of years ago so no real upset happens today even if Liverpool qualify. Best game of the night to watch for sure, but both hopefully are full of goals!
