5941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 06, 2020, 11:39:12 PM
Not familiar with these two  "RCashOnline and "The Saint John of Jerusalem Knights of Malta Foundation of the Philippines, Inc." but the other ponzi scheme who used to be called "Forsage" does really make a noise which eventually managed to persuade numerous Filipino citizen including few of my acquaintances.
I also have some friends in Facebook that is advertising that Forsage company but I don't want to invest on it. Yes they are using ETH platform and blockchain but most of them are posting "They don't do anything but they are earning" which is quite skeptical.

Even though SEC didn't post warnings about these kind of scam, I knew it already that it really is base on what the participants posts and the way they are earning Cheesy. They are just rich on the dashboard and that's it Cheesy.
5942  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: July 05, 2020, 08:01:03 AM
We are fully aware that the whole world now is combatting the war of the unknown, or this Covid-19 that cannot be seen but killed millions of people across the globe. And we are in this battle for over half a year now, but still, the Cure is so hard to be found. So devastating as it was, as the losses rises each day in all kinds as often mentioned.
Base on the past viruses and its cure/vaccine, the average time span for a new cure to be made for public use for a new strain of virus is around 12-18 months and take note that this is just a minimum. There are still some viruses right now that still there aren't no cures but still exist. Many countries lost huge amounts of money in the past months especially in the travelling industry but some establishments are starting to re-open already so it is a good sign for the economy already.

For some individuals working in Cryptoworld like me, can we rely on Bitcoin to sustain our needs and help prevent the economy collapse as this Pandemic continues?
Relying on Bitcoin is possible only if:
1. You are an expert trader that is earning profit daily.
2. You are a freelancer that is accepting Bitcoin as your salary in every client that you have.

For now, the best way to lessen the economic effect from us is thru investing (at least that is my opinion).
5943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON 4.0: Boom or Bust? on: July 05, 2020, 07:42:10 AM
Since Justin Sun said this in one video, I totally not interested in touching this coin again

This is probably another hype coming from him again. His shitcoin is not coming close to ETH anymore. Tron is a shitcoin and it already came from the founder himself so BUY HIS SHITCOIN and you will become one of his shits Cheesy.
5944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: July 05, 2020, 07:30:14 AM
Did you all felt it too or is it just me?

As I said before, I recently renewed my investment with more addition because I accidentally closed it.
Is this the product of starting over again or did it really just went down with all of us?
I've already said it and we all experienced it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5254959.msg54717737#msg54717737

Some lucky whales won a huge amount of money making our profits poof in an instant Cheesy. My profits for weeks have been gone in an instant. Its part of the game though and as of this moment, it is starting to increase again. Still I don't really affected by this huge down of my profits since I've seen things like this over and over and over again Cheesy. Just wait for your losses to be gone but it would take weeks I think. Luckily there is no dilution fees in Yolodice or your loss will be lower.

‪Sources told me THIRDY RAVENA’s contract in JAPAN is worth between $8,000-10,000 per month.‬
‪The offer to lure CALVIN ABUEVA is $150,000 for ten months (ALL IN, free board and lodging).‬
‪Another JAPANESE target is TERRENCE ROMEO.‬
‪More to come... will write about this in @spinph ‬

Although this has been posted June 28, I already know that Abueva has been offered many times already in Japan but what I don't know is even Terrence Romeo is being offered too in other countries.
What are your opinions with this?? Do you like to have Abueva and Romeo on Japan Cheesy
5946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Alert] Scam attempt in the name of gambling house and moderator on: July 05, 2020, 07:17:51 AM
Hello everyone, I just came across a new gambling website which was sent to me via a unknown user on telegram.
The word here is "TELEGRAM".
I'm enough of the nonsense of telegram already. Scammers are everywhere there and you don't know which can be trusted there or not. I'm not even opening my telegram app already because of the scammers there. Just the word alone makes me go away.

~
I also have received some random messages coming from random strangers and I don't have the time to entertain them or even read their post. As I open their message, I immediately block the user if I don't know them. Entertaining them will lead to nothing.
5947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 05, 2020, 07:13:15 AM
It's around 1-1,5% mostly hitting subject with other co-morbidities.
Covid19 has killed also a lot of people without health problem...and going to ER for respiratory issues is not easy for anyone.

Viruses don't kill people on their own. As a rule, they weaken the human body, greatly reduce its immunity. Some people have complications of diseases that they already had before Contracting the virus. In other people, infection with new diseases follows infection with the virus. Very often there are various pneumonia.
The virus itself can not kill, other diseases kill, it only helps them do it.
I agree with this.

As of this moment, if the immune system of the infected person is high then the chances of the infected getting succumbed to this virus is somewhat low. This is the reason why the elderly people are the ones who are at risk here because they already have a low immunity because of their age.

Increasing your immunity will protect you with the virus but aside from it, mask & alcohol will protect you too. Stay healthy folks because we are at the first half of the year but still no cure for the virus yet. This will be a long ride guys so stay healthy and follow the guidelines in your places Wink.
5948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 04, 2020, 12:49:30 PM
It's their only way to recover their economy and nothing more. Even in other countries, they did the same as they already started to open casinos to save their economy. They just implement a protocol to at least prevent the spread of the virus, like social distancing and sanitation, etc.
Most of the people in the US are gamblers and it really is a big help to their economy.

This decision by them is a bit risky but they don't have any left to save their economy but to open this. Many people there left jobless too so not only casinos are opening but some other establishments too but with strict protocols as always. In this way, it will help them recover their economy bit by bit but with the money that they've printed these past months it will take time for them to recover.
5949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: July 04, 2020, 12:33:31 PM
Despite the effects of the coronavirus on gambling everything is set to resume soon However, the impact of online gambling has increased due to the virus In the meantime, we should avoid visiting sports sites. If everything returns to normal we will be able to re-inspect the field and bet It is safest to stay at home during this epidemic But those who love gambling are more inclined towards online gambling than sitting at home.
Well, people choose to gamble online instead of gambling in casinos because of the risk that they may face when they go outside and face so many people knowing that one of them can be a carrier of the virus. Online gambling has increased its popularity since the pandemic has started. There are some gamblers who can't stop themselves and they choose to gamble online.

Everything will return to normal but it will take time and probably some things will be change as we will adopt to the new normal already.
5950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN TRUST PROBLEMS: Bitcoin Investers will want to know about this risk... on: July 03, 2020, 11:59:57 PM
An opinion coming from just one person isn't enough for me to change my current stance with regards to Bitcoin.
I know the risk of it already from the start so who cares Tongue. Risk Management is the key.

I know for sure that you will receive some negative comments with what you said, I don't think that somebody will believe on it. Bitcoin has been there for 10 years and many have trusted it already. Risk is always there and it is in every investment Cheesy.
5951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend passed away and he have Bitcoin in his wallet on: July 03, 2020, 11:54:16 PM
2 choices.

1. Either go to their house directly and you will be the one to get the Bitcoin that your friend had and give it to his family or convert it into fiat then give it into his family that would be better since they aren't that techy like you said.
2. Contact a very trusted friend of yours which is involved in crypto and let him do the job.

If you are just close to their house then this would've be easier but you are in another country so it would be hard unless you will sacrifice some time and money to do this. For sure your friend will appreciate it if you will be the one who will do it. RIP though.
5952  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money and beat up inflation rate? Options please! on: July 03, 2020, 11:45:05 PM
I was geared to save as one insurance company came to our workplace and invited us to join with them. The agreement is we have to pay monthly which will then accumulate over a period of time and had a lot benefits for being a part of the insurance company. The monthly payments accumulated will be 10-15 years with more or less 10-20% returns from the accumulated savings being made. However I am still not satisfied because the inflation rate goes to 4-7% annually that might not compensate even 20% increase over optionally 10 or 15 years of returns from the insurance company.
First of all, lets consider what is the definition of Insurance in Investopedia.

Quote
Insurance is a contract, represented by a policy, in which an individual or entity receives financial protection or reimbursement against losses from an insurance company. The company pools clients' risks to make payments more affordable for the insured.
Insurance policies are used to hedge against the risk of financial losses, both big and small, that may result from damage to the insured or her property, or from liability for damage or injury caused to a third party.

Insurance has been used so that if the person experiences some problems then he can use the money he invested on insurance and just for me only, the interest of these insurances are really low since it is not the main priority of it. Insurance isn't created for investing but for future purposes. The main keyword there is "HEDGE". Don't expect too much and don't invest too much on insurance if you aren't using your funds there for hedging. If you are searching for interest then find another investment.

Since I have the idea in saving money through bitcoin, so probably this could be a better chance in getting away from this inflation rate as another option in saving money other than the insurance company or even banks (the traditional way of saving money). Banks and insurance company does only offer low interest of increase of the savings so I am not favorable to it.
~
However, I am little bit worried as what others had told that putting your money to bitcoin is risky. This is why I need to know your ideas on what could be the good thing to do to pursue in saving money. But, I am also open to other options from you guys if you have just do not attempt to scam.

Do you think that bitcoin will be better in saving money and beating up the inflation rate?
Investing in general can make you beat inflation rate.

When I'm investing, I always see the annually interest that I can get aside from crypto which is we know very volatile and stocks because I'm a stock trader and crypto holder. I also invest in some investments that gives fixed interest rate but I'm not into it that much because I know that inflation can eat up the interest.

Bitcoin can make you get away with the inflation rate as long as you can take the volatility of it. If you aren't like the others who are panicking when prices are going down then Bitcoin can help you with that. Money is inflationary and the buying power of cash right now is slowly withering. It is better if we invest it into different investments rather than just holding it but still have some emergency funds too Cheesy. Money management.
5953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: July 03, 2020, 09:26:49 AM
For me fiat is not looking that strong as a long term investment. They are throwing bundles of it in the toilet
Newbie question Cheesy. I'm only invested in stocks and crypto as of this moment. Can you invest fiat for the long term?? If yes how Smiley. By holding it something like that?
I'm not that interested on it but I'm quite curious about it though.
5954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The return of ICOs on: July 03, 2020, 09:22:02 AM
ICO's will always be there and it didn't left the crypto world so the word "Return of ICO's" is somewhat misleading because we didn't see ICO vanished.

What we saw is just a big downside of successful new projects within the past years because of the  numerous scams that happened. ICO didn't leave but it really isn't that profitable anymore for the investors as most of the new projects are very hard to trust anymore because of the scams. Investors have low to no interest in investing to this new projects anymore and I don't think that it will comeback soon like what ICO is in around 2017.
5955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum's biggest contender? on: July 03, 2020, 09:15:25 AM
I'm not that updated with Cardano but what I know is that they are implementing this "Shelly" mainnet but still there is no official date of launch of this yet.

As of now, many are still holding ETH as they are upgrading to ETH 2.0 where it will be officially a POS instead of a POW coin. Now with the biggest contender, I don't see anything that will come close to it in terms of DAPPS since it is still the best and many are still using the ETH Network.

In terms of scalability, ETH 2.0 is said to have 100,000 TPS. Cardano as of this moment has 1,000,000 TPS. EOS is around 1000+ TPS. Probably Cardano will be the closest if the Shelly will be implemented and at the same time the ETH 2.0 will be finished.
5956  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kingcasino from bounty detective turned scam on: July 03, 2020, 09:01:06 AM
I'm not here to criticize but to clear the fact that bounty managers aren't perfect, many hail and praised bounty detective for their introduction to many new Bounties this year so far but i knew there are some bad eggs among the projects, one if the bad eggs is Kingcasino, the first time i investigate this project I knew something was off, the website design and the team which are fake team, they exit scam and even telling investors that they are scammed.

Sometimes even the best bounty manager can introduce a scam bounty project, no bounty manager is perfect

For those saying this is not enough proof that kingcasino is scam, kindly check this out from another member

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259635.msg54724410#msg54724410
I know that the scams in ICO's are very common already nowadays.

What's uncommon is that they will literally say that they are scammers. That they are saying to the investors that they scammed them. That they will run away with the total funds that they have. Most of the time scammers will just runaway without saying anything but these scammers literally did it like they are proud of doing it which is quite funny TBH Cheesy. Whether this is true or not is I don't know but if this is true then time to move on for the investors.

I pity all of the investors of this ICO but in order for an investor to learn, he/she must encounter things like this to be a professional one because you will not learn if you don't experience mistakes.
5957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: July 03, 2020, 12:50:18 AM
So it's official that this fight has been rescheduled as they want to have a crowd to generate more income  Smiley. I hope that by December, vaccine is already developed so thing will get back to normal. not just in boxing but to all other sports as well.

https://www.boxingscene.com/fury-wilder-3-arum-crossing-fingers-he-crowd-on-december-19--149905
Kinda expected though that this fight will be rescheduled because of what is happening in US right now Cheesy.

Lets just hope that at that time, a vaccine has been made although the minimum time frame for a new vaccine to be created is around 12-18 months so there is still a bit chance that a vaccine can't be created by December. Hoping to have a new virus by December although I'm not expecting Cheesy.
5958  Economy / Economics / Re: The positive impact ~ on: July 03, 2020, 12:46:14 AM
1. Due to Quarantine people are spending more time with families plus all the businesses and schools are working online , after the quarantine one can easily hope for an increase in online job opportunities , which is a big deal for some students and other sectors .
Those who got an online job right now can either stay with what they are doing now post-pandemic or they will return to their job depends on the monthly expenses of the family. If the online job is enough for them and they have a higher salary than their job pre-pandemic then they will just stick to online job since it is less hassle and more time with their family as you said.

4. With the Quarantine and complete lockdown , environment is recovering, some of the most severe ozone holes are closed , pollution is getting controlled , feels like it is something that nature did to make sure the earth recovers from the wildfires all around . This means one would be able to efficiently renew the economic situation as a whole.
This is for me the best benefit of the virus especially when the lockdown are at its strictest days. Environment is recovering but unfortunately, we are returning back to the normal (new normal to be exact) where people can go out again so environment will be back to normal again Sad.

6. Cryptocurrencies are getting more popular since using them have enabled people to sell their services across the globe . without additional documentation and problems.
I don't think that crypto got more popular with this pandemic. I'd agree if digital cash transactions became more popular at least here in our country and I don't know what is the case in other countries. One app here in our country has been used to pay some bills and other payments online. They said that they transactions that have been made in their app increased by 700% when the pandemic occurs.
5959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly a safe-haven asset? on: July 03, 2020, 12:30:15 AM
First of all, lets take the definition of safe-haven asset base on Investopedia.

Quote
A safe haven is an investment that is expected to retain or increase in value during times of market turbulence. Safe havens are sought by investors to limit their exposure to losses in the event of market downturns.

The main idea here is the bold text base on the definition. In that part alone, we can say that Bitcoin isn't considered a safe haven asset because it doesn't limit the investors to the exposure of losses. We saw Bitcoin going down and up many times already and did some huge downside movement.
5960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Lost $9,300, Bearish Re-test In Play? on: July 02, 2020, 10:21:06 AM
The price of Bitcoin this week just went from near the $9,000 to around $9,300.

The price movement of Bitcoin this week is sideways so it is really hard to say if it will retest some lows or it will go high. It has lost the $9300 level but it went back up and now it is at the $9200 level already. I'll just wait for the next price movement of Bitcoin in the next weeks since it is hard to predict what can be the next movement of Bitcoin.
