5941  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving and price History Analysis on Chart on: October 16, 2019, 02:08:57 AM
If I remember correctly the highest price in each phase took a year at the least to show its effects on the market price. We can also see in the chart that with each halving, ATH of bitcoin is reached for that bitcoin. Id say we could safely assume that after the 3rd halving, bitcoin would only rise and should reach a new ATH. All time highest should be around a 1000% or 2000% increasw just based on past halvings that occured. That is excluding all possible factors of course.
5943  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Market Update: BTC continues to drop lower, where next? on: October 15, 2019, 01:52:38 PM
the problem with bitcoin price is that you can never predict the sudden drops. what you can predict is the downtrends and uptrends but never the sudden movements.
what we had was a sudden drop which didn't even take a full day to get to the bottom of it! there is no way you could ever predict that.
on top of that, calling this a downtrend and "continues to drop" is a bit odd to me.

I don't think I agree. I'd been posting for a long time that I was anticipating a breakdown. No one's ever going to predict the day it will happen but I called for it and didn't waver from that call. As far as the suddenness... if price has bounced from the same level that many times, when it does give out it's going to be violent. The same thing with the 6k breakdown.
Well, you indeed predicted it right but that doesn't really mean you could predict the next one correctly and the next and the one after that right? Besides, I doubt the bitcoin price would breakdown to 6k. I'd expect it to go below 7500$ but not anymore below that amount. I'm still hoping that Bakkt could come back from its disappointing launch and even if not, from what I experienced in the past, Q4 is the time for the price to increase or at the very least, progress on a steadly line instead of crashing down.
5944  Economy / Speculation / Re: New printed money into crypto? How? on: October 15, 2019, 12:13:11 PM
The question is in what way the new printed money will find the Way in to crypto market?

As Property and stock markets are booming gold is going up too we have like new economic fresh start everything is going up but Bitcoin is Still down!

I wondering wich way the New fresh money as euro,  usd and Australian dollar will be invested into cryptocurrency market?

Having fiat available doesn't necessarily mean that it must go to buying coins in the crypto market. Besides, USD printed more dollars to boost economic growth and not to accommodate the amount of bitcoin in the market so that it could potentially boost its price. Countries print more money because of supply and demand for the resources that human beings need, not for bitcoin itself. Even if BTC did reach 100k USD or such, it would just result in more people holding a coin because of the huge price it has. Coins would be split to a lot of users and that way, the community could cough up 100k USD for one BTC.
5945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: October 15, 2019, 11:23:28 AM
Yes, I mean cryptocurrency in general, I have been only buying bitcoin so I didn't know about any other altcoins. It is so tempting to invest in them when you see 3 4x price increases.

It may be tempting to invest in altcoins buy it isn't really much when one invests in bitcoin itself. You should be aware of the halving that is about to occur by 2020 and a lot are speculating that bitcoin price would pump throughout the entire time we are waiting for the halving to occur. The hype train only occurred because bitcoin became a bubble by the year 2017 and well a lot of people got scared and bought bitcoin with what happened then. The hype train died because bitcoin has now returned to its mean. It may seem that Bitcoin is dying but it isn't actually. It rather is at it's the best state since this is the state where it could start being pumped up again.
5946  Economy / Speculation / Re: 20K by March, A positive Look at the market. on: October 15, 2019, 09:49:46 AM
Great chart and analysis! A lot of people are really expecting bitcoin to pump into 20k once the halvingbstarts in 2020 and their not to blame though cause there really is a chance for that to happen. After the first and second halving, the bitcoin prices suddenly pumped within a year of that halving.

I think that after the bull run, it is possible that bitcoin rises to about $35k while some altcoins like Ethereum will actually follow bitcoin behind too and then witness their last all-time high, but I think the last all time high of some altcoins are what will be witnessed again and nothing more.

The real question is when that bull run would come? The market has slowed down incredibly over the past weeks and has entered the previous state of lethargy that we experienced earlier this year.
The market value has been dwindling within a certain range with no signs of a break out.
I do not support the assumptions that altcoins would be dying any time soon, there is lots of potential in the market if the right developers key into the market, and the existing projects are upgraded often
It could be called the calm before the storm though? The market last last week was at around 7500$ but we saw changes and currently it stands at 8k$ so that's a good start right? Besides, Q4 just started so we could expect pumps by the end of it.
5947  Economy / Economics / Re: [DEBATE]: Cryptocurrency investment related on India facing threat for ban on: October 15, 2019, 08:25:46 AM

The title is misleading. The proposal is still in draft phase. It will undergo a long process before it will be official.

Aside from that, not all lawmakers or legislators surely agree to that.

Don't conclude things "for now".
Also looked it up recently and it seems the ban on crypto are just petitions that are yet to be reviewed by India's Supreme court by the time this thread was made. The last hearing I was able to find was said to have happened on sept 25,2019. Sadly, I couldn't find anymore news about it.

And naturally, appeals happened since RBI originally said that they would ban bitcoin, and the situation isn't really that clear yet because decisions are made through long and arduous processes. I do hope the petition fails sincr this could be a possible setback for crypto
5948  Economy / Speculation / Re: [2019-10-13] Fun Fact: Bitcoin Price is Up 838,000,000% in Ten Years’ Time on: October 15, 2019, 06:13:09 AM
We can actually look at dips as not a negative event but rather a chance to hold more coins instead. We've alrwady hold for a long time, what's adding a bit more of months to that. Those who panic sells are mostly people whom are in just for a quick buck. Each and everyone of us whom have stayed with bitcoin for a long time know how it had reached its status today, from having no value to being to what it is today.

Let's wait for bitcoin to reach the top and look down to those whom underestimate its prowess look up to it.
5949  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Take note]mga banta ng cyber -security on: October 15, 2019, 04:12:17 AM

Yung wala kabg ginagawa pero sobrang taas ng cpu and memory usage mo, that could most proably be a sign. Kung di naman tayo magbububukas ng randon links at magdodownload ng kung ano anong files, pretty sure na safe yung pc/cp natin unless na inispecify nung hacker yung gadget natin to be hacked. Stay safe and maghanda lagi ng contingency plans like paghiwahiwalayin na wallet yung coins and cash or maghardware wallet na lang talaga for 100% security.
5950  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Use your BTC on your Lazada Purchase (coins.ph>gcash>lazada) on: October 15, 2019, 03:10:11 AM

NOTE: Please used this for small transactions only or kung saan kaya mo irisk. In case of refund, sa Lazada Wallet mababalik iyong amount.

5951  Economy / Economics / Re: Public address complexity and economy of a coin on: October 14, 2019, 05:47:15 PM

Your post reminded me the very first time I saw a Bitcoin address and tell you what I was actually shocked a little to see that long line of numbers and letters right before my eyes. Well, admittedly, I am used to the way PayPal is handling this thing which means you only need an email address and that's it. Yes, it could have been better if the address is shortened especially for those who are just new...definitely there is a perceived learning curve ahead of the user just looking at the address. Let's see how DigitalNames.io can be solving this problem. I am now looking at the site to see if this can be good for me too.
Gotta agree. When I first saw a bitcoin address, I was immediately shooked since I was pretty sure my mind refused to acknowledge its existence because of all the mix-ups of letters and numbers. Well, bitcoin is a growing community so someone producing a solution for such a long line of numbers and letters for the address was bound to show up. A pretty neat idea not gonna lie, I am gonna wait for some big companies to adopt it and gonna try it out somehow.
5952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learn to play Dice on: October 14, 2019, 04:10:26 PM
Hi guys!
I’ve noticed that there are loads of discussions about Dice, who is better, who is worse, where the bonuses are hidden and very few threads and post on basic terminology:)
So catch one here:
https://100casinos.top/learn-to-play-dice/

And guys feel free to add links to the mix)
Otherwise, our chats shall be overcrowded with questions from beginners:)
To be fair, only the terminologies are needed to study when trying to learn about dice. As to how to play it, well just roll the dice, pray that lady luck is in your favor, then that's it. Strategies are in the end dead when it comes to gambles involving luck so they wouldn't prove much of use. Just study the terminologies and anyone can play the game. Easy as that. You could even potentially play without learning the terms and just play as you go and that would be effective as well. Dice isn't that complicated of a game after all.
5953  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Soon Surge by 20%? on: October 14, 2019, 03:08:22 PM

This is a good analysis and I would be watching for this if this can really be coming trues in the next few days. We are all longing for Bitcoin to get back to the $10K zone as soon as possible. While Bitcoin has been struggling, I can also feel that there remains an energy within the coin to break through this level.

Quote

I know that we are just speculating here but market sentiment can be a big factor for the movement of the price of any commodity or currency. Are you of the same argument or do you see that Bitcoin will instead go south and be trading below the $7,000 within the coming week? Is Bitcoin now ready to take over the $10,000 price range?
It should probably surge by the end of Q4, or at the very least, stay at its current mean price. But as of now, it should probably just move sidely or move up bit by bit to that 10k dream. To be honest, a lot could still happen before Q4 ends. I expect most of them to be about adoption or surge of coins and hopefully, this could push bitcoin before the year ends. Besides, Bakkt is still pushing ahead and hopefully something could come out of it in after its disappointing launch.
5954  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Resources Para Matuto sa English Language on: October 14, 2019, 02:19:39 PM
Okay lang mali ang grammar or spelling as long naiintindihan yung thought. I think that's more important rather than grammar.

I've always wanted to improve my english skills. I can understand english very well pero when it comes to speaking, hirap na.
Sadly though, local part lang to ng forum. Not all ng nandito sa forum can speak Filipino so need talaga nating mahasa yung english speaking natin.
5955  Economy / Economics / Re: BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 6 YEARS on: October 14, 2019, 01:30:24 PM
Lot of people are making price predictions and many years ago I did as well. However, I stopped thinking in fiat and only thought about stacking stats. In the end we are part of a financial revolution much like Tesla in cars- uber in taxis. The financial market is in a recession when you have bankers, government official telling you we are doing great it's to cover up the truth.

I told some friends in 12/2015 that btc in few years will be 10 k . I am no market analyst I just based it on scarcity. Those same friends bought in 2017 and called me thinking I knew what the next target is and I told them shit, I got lucky I have no idea. Four years later  and now I am thinking scarcity again and 95k in a few years is my next prediction because why not we all love a number to gravitate to.

In 2016 saw a youtube video, and in there was a Chinese mining operator that did not speak english well  but would say just buy 1 BTC and many people laughed at him dunno if it was because of his accent or because he was a miner  promoting BTC. I thought about that back than and realized that 1 btc is attainable at 500 usd.

I would tell family and friends and got  a response like I will wait till it comes down.  If those people listened 1 year later would have profited well. Now I tell friends  .1 BTC  I  think for many that is attainable, now the response is did bitcoin not crash. My point is that I think if we educate fundamentals which is tough we might win some hearts.
Congrats for being one of the forerunners in this community bro. You don't really need to tell them your pov and why you want them to join you in the venture, just, when the market reachest its highest, when the crypto replaces fiat, you can go and tell them, "Don't say I told you so", smash em in da face like that. I just joined recently and look at how I'm sad at how I didn't join immediately in the past when i got wind of the news about crypto.
5956  Economy / Economics / Re: COMMODITY MANIPULATION: DEMAND/SUPPLY on: October 14, 2019, 11:47:09 AM

My question is this: what if we just crash the prices by increasing production, and ensuring other manufacturing sectors are running to balance human needs in the world?  Although this is different from currency.

It isn't a simple thing to let what you want to happen. Letting the supply dwindle down by producing resources nonchalantly could result in the resources of the world to dwindle at a fast pace.

There is a thing called productive efficiency where the economy cannot produce one more of a good without taking the resourcws of another. Basically, it means to produce something at the cost of another not being produced. This could help when we determine the supply that the world is essentially in need. If we nonchalantly produce everything, efficiency could be reduced and those products that people normally use cpuld potentially stop being produced since the resources allocated to it were used for others.
5957  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some advice/awareness for newbies. Newbie should read it. on: October 14, 2019, 09:03:11 AM
Aren't most of these types of emails considered as spam and the like? And also, I believe most users have the most basic decision making when looking at these types of mails. They take one look at it and they should be able to determine whether one is legit or not.

Well, advice for these would be choose what bounty/campaigns you would give your email and if possible, use an alternate one that you'd be willing to spend time to manage. If you reallllyyyy want to use your main email, then I'd advise regular management of your email so you could set some mails received from certain sites as spam or the like.
5958  Economy / Economics / Re: Public address complexity and economy of a coin on: October 14, 2019, 06:45:54 AM
The more complicated the address is, the better security it gives to the owner and to the funds. Public addresses are perhaps not designed to just be a mere common word or something that could easily be remembered. I am not sure but since they are digitally generated and several millions and millions of it are being created, addresses will end up like the way we have now.
This is the truth. Making a public address easier would rather defeat the security of sending coins to others. Though it does make crypto look very complicated since addresses are randomly assigned. In fact, addresses are in no way conplicated as a user. If you were the programmer, then assigning random addresses to each would be confusing and hard but as a user, it ain't really that much different with passwords. On this case though, users are just required to save the said address so as to not lose it. Even if they did, they could just make a new one.
5959  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC- When it back to 20k on: October 14, 2019, 05:47:35 AM
Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks
Well that's your fault things happened. Just like what other posters said, patiently wait for it. Besides, the 18k price was a result of a bubble last December 2018. Don't expect it to go back there since the bubble just popped and prices have just returned to the mean. The bubble has already popped, the prices have returned to normal, but I really doubt bitcoin 20k would d be happening anytime sooner.
5960  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [DISCUSSION] Full Movie that BITCOIN related as a concept on: October 13, 2019, 04:30:20 PM
Not really a movie but in case di niyo pa napapanood spread ko lang dito tong animation na to. Not my creation btw.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wb9REUUBHA

Ah. Unfriended. Anyway, as usual, Holywood affiliating the deepweb with bitcoin.

May magandang concept and idea yung unfriended. Nagaantay ako ng movie na hero yung bitcoin hahaha like example of situation is nagkaroon ng financial crash dahil sa greed ng mga banks and governments and now the whole economic situation ng buong mundo is in dire danger. Mula pa lamang sa mga malls is makikita mo na yung prices ng products na same lang naman is nagkaiba iba na, yung banks ay naglalabas lang nang naglalabas ng cash without any sense, yung mga ganung effect na hindi naman siya visually appealing pero pag napanood mo is mashoshook yung core mo.
