Listen to me.
Look I know we are a free community, but come on don't you think the price has become so volatile during the past few months just because people started using it as a form of investment. I've seen people buy in low, in hopes of selling it at high, and that's basically pump and dump.
Bitcoin wasn't created to make us rich over night but was created so we could have control over our money and not the bankers. It was created so we could be free, so there won't be any borders telling us we are different from them so we can't trade with them. To be united, but all I see are people only talking about how much profit they've made, not about how it can help people that don't have access to banks(they do but it's a minority).
We live in a society where we take everything for granted, just like we've taken Bitcoin for granted. We don't deserve it. The ones that deserve it don't have access to it.
At the end of the day we become savages and only think about the profit not the good that it can do for us, instead of making us rich.
Yes, I was introduced to it because of the investment, but I was a fool at that time, I couldn't see the bigger picture.
We are a community created for the people, by the people.
(P.S. If you don't see Bitcoin as investment, then be proud of it, and hope it can help us be united, for it's all that we have left against them)
Well said, but the fact that using bitcoin as a means of payment is hampered by regulations from different countries across the world, and subject to approval by the world financial institutions like IMF, World bank etc, and btc price fluctuations I.e unstable, highly volatile is another major setback in achieving the desire result of using it as a means of payment.

You are absolutely correct on this, I had never come across any shop where bitcoin is being accepted as a mode of payment for goods and services anywhere in Nigeria, however as far as buying and selling bitcoin is concerned I used this popular forum nairaland business section where I carried out my transactions with trusted agents using an ESCROW.
gabbie, you could put out the link to that thread on Seun's nairaland site? I like to know about it because I know he placed an outright ban on speculative businesses such as Forex Trading and cryptocurrency. Mpamaegbu, this is the thread link http://www.nairaland.com/3190496/currency-e-currency-market-deals where I do trade my btc to fiat whenever I needed some cash I had the opportunity of trading with these guys, Sirambassador, Ibraheem001 others are ladyf and modath they are very trusted and reputable on that thread however I always recommends using an escrow because of a lot of scammers are there too, a lot of btc is traded on daily basis and one of the largest buyers are found in that forum in Nigeria.

Hodling my tokens is only for investment purpose, I have a firm belief in the few ones I am hodling having been convinced that their project has a future prospects while I dumped or used the ones I am not longer interested in , of course there are many of such tokens of which needed to be get rid off due to their worthlessness.

Is bounty programs impacting negatively or positively to the success of icos?
Bounties creates more awareness via social media such that vast information and advertisements is disseminated covering wider global views, thus resulting to the success of ICOs, of course that is why a larger percentage of tokens being allocated to bounties which shows how important it is to the overall success of the project.

I don't think so. Nigeria uses bitcoin as the mode of payment and they created their own regulations.
Btcnaivie, your moniker says it all. Why proudly display a high level of naivety on a subject you know nothing about? How can you say that Nigeria makes use of bitcoin as a mode of payment? Payment at what shops or for what services? Can you name any? Please, I am a Nigerian and would like to know of any shop in Nigeria that accepts bitcoin for payment. Of course, there are none. Also, I would like to know a place where I can buy or sell my Bitcoin from any of you here saying bitcoin exists in Nigeria (not on the localbitcoin site). I mean a group on telegram or WhatsApp. I will be waiting. .

Sorry for the loss, hackers are on prowl these days, they targeted mostly MEW wallets using phishing sites as well as sending unsolicited emails while demanding for some information from people thus gaining access to your wallet, I had been sent many emails by hackers urging me to give some information about my wallet in return for some tokens of course such messages are deleted immediately.

I prefers the weekly slow increment to the rapidly volatile increment because 'slow and steady wins the race' and this will give room for opportunity for new investors to join the train and invest massively thus increasing the market capitalization and trading volumes gradually and in an investor friendly approach.

Anyone can call it ponzi scheme and fraud but if you think of it, everything worldly is fraud. You buy apple products with thousands of dollars but how much are they really worth? Why would people give out thousands of dollars for a macbook when they can buy a laptop for $300? Is it really worth that much or is it just another ponzi scheme that apple is bringing to the world better gadgets than any other brands? So we're talking about bitcoin now. What are we really paying for when we buy bitcoin? We pay for an online program and the people running the program helping transactions go through, or we call mining. Miners put in so much time and most especially the cost of mining is so much. That is merely the reason why bitcoin will cost much and if incase it will dive too low and will not be enough to pay for miners, then that could be the time bitcoin will die, or not.
Honestly its been a difficult task correcting the impression of some people on classifying bitcoin as a ponzi scheme, it is absolutely ridiculous to call btc a fraud when there is glaring proof of mode of its transactions with Google as a friend and with all the valuable information as regards btc well detailed there, I will continue to enlighten as many people that needs more clarifications in this regards.

This portends a damming danger to those of us that always check for reviews and ratings of latest ICOs for investment using icobench, I always check out for reviews via icobench but with this report I am really disappointed with them.

Many of the telegram groups which give signals are run by the same people, I have noticed on multiple occasions of the groups giving the same signals. Many of the groups also conduct coordinated pump and dumps, and they usually send it in all the groups to gather a greater audience. Although some of the signals turn out to be correct, always do your own research before making a trade.
My question is that for how long should I continue to rely on telegram signals? why not not take up the gauntlet and start learning how to trade obviously with constant practice and perseverance you will surely attained the basics in trading although this could take your valuable time but in the long run it worth it.

In this era of instability in the price of Cryptos it will be difficult for hodlers to make profits however a good trader equipped with both technical and fundamental analysis will capitalized on the instability in the price and makes profits consistently thus having an edge over a hodler.

To be successful in Cryptos adoption of hodling policy is the most outstanding requirements, recall when the price of bitcoin was low few years a go, imagine how successful and rich the hodlers of btc are now and I am very optimistic that the present hodlers have a brighter prospect despite the state of the prices of Cryptos ( bearish) now.

Getting the opportunity to buy some of these cheaper coins is very rare just because they are many of them out there, of course research and taking calculated risk having streamlined your investments to five coins which has a potential brighter future just like TRX, XRP e.t.c

Bitcoin is a crypto currency, all currencies make upward and downward trends from time to time. Bitcoin is and other Crypto currencies are taking over the world economy. See every dip as an opportunity to buy more. Invest now and smile at moon
Patience is the key when it comes to bitcoin and other Cryptos, years back bitcoin has been the hopeful to the hopeless just by hodling which eventually became the leading Cryptos globally, I foresee another prospects for hodlers of Cryptos just as last year pumping of btc and ripple recurring again I am keeping hope alive.

These are the basics as far as TA is concerned in trading in fact resistance, support and trend lines has been very helpful plus Candlestick patterns formed at those zones e.g hammers, bullish or bearish engulfing bars and pin bars, these are very profitable candles which can aid perfect trading system, and avoiding all those colourful indicators that lags with the price.

Sign here if you will also agree to boycott all bounty campaigns that do not pay in BTC or ETH.
From the look of things it seem you had a bad experience with a bounty campaign, you should have inform the forum your problems before taking a firm stand against bounties not paying with btc or ETH, we could have learn from your experience and find ways or solutions to future occurrence if you had not been paid after completion of a bounty campaign.

There is no statistics to proved that the recent fall in the price of bitcoin is as a result of Eid of Muslim celebrations considering the ratio of population of Muslim hodlers to other hodlers is quite small and for the fact some Muslim faithfuls might have exchanged some btc to fiat I believed that wouldn't have any impact on the price of btc.
