If Ethereum 2.0 comes out, will that be a new separate coin and will it bring down the value of Ethereum and Ethereum Classic that is currently in Coinbase or Gemini? Most of the top smart contract cryptos these days are just forks of Ethereum. I suppose it's possible that at EIP1559 miners fork Ethereum but most people will stick with ETH. ETC doesn't look like it's going anywhere. They were unable to solve their hashrate security problems. This is a test eip1559 https://hackmd.io/@abdelhamidbakhta/eip1559-perf-update#Results"22 hours non-stop test 6426 blocks processed 41 M gas/block average More than 12 millions transactions executed 2139 average transactions per block 95% of blocks were at least 15M worth of gas" This eip greatly speeds up Ethereum and increases the number of transactions per block. Why are miners unhappy? There are currently 200-300 transactions in 1 block of Ethereum.

Smart contracts consume more gas, therefore, token transactions are more expensive. I also don't understand the actions of many users actions of many users. Why use uniswap when trading on a centralized exchange. Perhaps the user decided to trade on uniswap to receive future distributions of tokens or other boluses for uniswap users.

I transferred eth to metamask then converted it to dai. Now I need to send the dai to kucoin. Dai is listed on kucoin, but I'm wondering if I'm allowed to send dai or I can only send and receive eth? It's a stupid question but I don't want to lose the dai if that's the case. Thanks!
You do everything right, only I do not understand the logic of your actions. Each exchange supports Ethereum trading. I think it will be difficult to find an exchange where there is no Ethereum ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) An Ethereum transaction from one address to another costs $ 10. The token transaction costs $ 40. You could send Ethereum to the kucoin exchange and pay $ 10 in commission, and then buy DAI. Instead, you do a swap ($ 40), a trial transaction of a small amount ($ 40), the main transaction($ 40). What for???

If Ethereum 2.0 comes out, will that be a new separate coin and will it bring down the value of Ethereum and Ethereum Classic that is currently in Coinbase or Gemini? Ethereum 2.0 phase 0 has already kicked off on December 1st. Ethereum 2.0 phase 0 does not yet allow the creation of wallets on the Ethereum 2.0 blockchain. This feature will be added in Phase 1. Eth2.0 = Eth1.0. 2 parallel blockchains will work on different POS and POW algorithms. https://launchpad.ethereum.org/"What is eth2 phase 0? Transitioning from proof-of-work (PoW) to proof-of-stake (PoS), eth2 will be launched in at least 4 phases. The idea is to break up this transition into phases each focusing on a different aspect of eth2. Phase 0 contains all of the machinery behind eth2's PoS consensus, it tracks the validators and their balances. Phase 1 handles adding, storing, and retrieving the data associated with eth2's shards. Phase 1.5 updates Ethereum as we know it today from PoW to PoS by making it a shard under eth2. Phase 2 Phase 2 adds execution to the remaining eth2 shards which enables smart contracts to run on all of the shards."

So a house can have a 30 kW connection, that "hour" you added was what caused the confusion. 30 kW * 24 h * 30 d = 21600 kWh. If the cottages are cheap that could make sense, that's 6x S19 Pro per cottage, or about $5k per month at $0.02 / kWh at current price and difficulty levels. Everything is correct. You can also consume more electricity if you make friends with checking electricians ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It is beneficial for energy companies to cooperate with such clients, because miners pay for services on time and do not steal electricity. Miners don't need extra checks. But this business has risks. The enforcement structure can come with a check at any time and seize the equipment if your partners do not agree on the amount of the bribe. But also your partners can deceive you. They can ask the enforcement structure to seize the equipment and you will lose money, and then they will mine on your equipment yourself. This is roughly how business works in Russia.

I am not a technologist, let alone a programmer, just an investor and trader. What do I need to know about Ethereum's high gas fees? I'm hearing some say that this could sink Ethereum. How exagerrated is that?
Ethereum high fess shouldn't be a thing to worry about mate becasue the technology is on it way to make a solution which will counter the existing problem of the high fess. But when you aren't in good term with this technology you can switch into Binace-chain or ADA which have the latest cheap fees for transactions. Cardano just recently launching support for smart contracts? What's the point of using this blockchain if there are no interesting projects in it yet. Binace-chain is a centralized blockchain that is controlled by the Binance exchange. I am afraid to transfer large amounts of money to it, because if something happens to the Binance exchange, I will lose money.

Thirio, why do you need telegrams? This is a never-ending source of spam that distracts you from your work. The fastest source of information about projects that interest you is Twitter. I am subscribed to several news sites because they send out major news in a hugged list. This helps to quickly analyze the market situation.
