5961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin reach $20k fee will be huge? on: October 29, 2020, 10:36:55 AM
Normally, if bitcoin increases in price, that means the bitcoin fee will increase, even if not increasing in bitcoin, it will increase in dollar, but if the mempool is congested, that means the price will also increase in bitcoin because miners only take highest fee first. And if bitcoin price increase, that means people buy it more, which means more people are using bitcoin, this will result to people making more transactions, which means the mempool will normally be congested than this time which will increase the fee thet more.

The scalability issue have to been addressed, something should be done, like the lightning network, but people using the lightning network are not much, but it can be an alternative way to geting faster transactions with much cheaper fees. Also, use of segwit address will help. Also let us expect more approaches in the future that will tackle the high transaction fees.
5962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The world after the last bitcoin is mined on: October 29, 2020, 10:15:27 AM
Nothing will make bitcoin to be centralized, it will be decentralized, bitcoin is just like gold, but digital, even if the banks are holding the greatest amounts, it is people demanding and selling rates that will determine the price. But, in some aspect, it could be centralized, like governments having policies that any one having bitcoin to be paying certain monthly or annual amoumt. Goverments will try to manipulate and make people depend on them to be able to buy and sell bitcoin so looking for more ways to further centralized the coin. But with what I am looking in my view and perspective, I do not think bitcoin can be centralized in term of price because the price will never ever be controlled by centralized bodies which are the governments, bitcoin is decentralized beyond that.
5963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale transfers $1 billion in bitcoin and pays $3.54 in fees? on: October 29, 2020, 10:04:57 AM
You are right, the issue of congested mempool is the issue we are facing now, but later on, it will be over. I can see many of my transactions not getting confirmed in time but in this case, we can pump the fee, electrum wallet is good at pumping fee, and also some other wallets like bitcoin core can also pump bitcoin fee which will be an alternative in case the bitcoin is needed in time.
5964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In-play or pre-match staking on: October 29, 2020, 09:13:25 AM
I would say don't get attached to your bets if you are betting based on luck or have no skill, experience or knowledge.
This should also be applicable to in-play matches, and even it is beyond having good knowledge about it at times, for example, the match between Tottenham and West Ham United in October 18, 2020, Tottenham scored 3 goals before the first 17 minutes at the beginning of the match, and they were still playing 3 goals to nothing at the 81st minutes. People can stake Tottenham to win the game after the 3 goals in the first half of the match, but West Ham before 82nd to ending of the game equalized and played 3-3. People that will stake such game will put high amount of money, and they just lost it. Betting at times are just luck.
5965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 29, 2020, 08:55:50 AM
That is what it is but many fails on this instead they are seeking for more and more money so ending?they are now either addicted or a loser.
Yes, many people seek for more money from gambling, and people like that will look for strategies to earn from betting, but they will find themselves losing, and they will lose the more, becoming addicted to it. I was once a victim, I can gamble and be hungry, and I sold my home theater and some other stuffs because of gambling, it became a problem for me. That is why we should take gambling for fun, using only the money we can afford to lose, before becoming a problem for us. Having a mindset that gambling can not make someone rich is good enough, thinking it can make you to be the wealthiest man.
5966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 29, 2020, 08:32:08 AM
The amount of bitcoins in this situation is probably not small today, many people unexpectedly of sudden and they can't share information with their family and relatives. Those who hold a lot of bitcoins, they should share with one of their closest family members, this helps their loved one and this amount of bitcoins isn't lost unfortunately.
You have said it well, it can even happen in a way you can give them access codes, so when something happens, only what to do is to input the code and have the private key to a wallet, the private key can be used on another new wallet, and the whole fund will appear and be able to spend, this is one of the best way to make sure bitcoin is passed to hire. Letting your family know about bitcoin in general will help, if they know about it, they will be able to access the coin easy if anything happens, they will even be the one giving you better advice which you can find interesting.
5967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren thoughts on Bitcoin on: October 28, 2020, 08:07:22 PM
Warren Buffet on an interview with CNBC said that Bitcoin and other cyrpto currency have no value,he said they don't produce anything "you don't do anything with it except sell it to someone else" he said is just Bitcoin will just reduce the demand of suitcase.
Seeing these statement  I had to bring it up in Bitcoin discussion ,but at the same time every one has his entitlement or point of view..
It will be good if you add the link you read all these from, but normally we all know that Warren Buffet is a bitcoin and crypto critic generally, and his points are baseless, how can someone says bitcoin has no value, but can be sold, can something that has no value be sold? That two statements are contradictory. I think, people have different opinions, there are rich people that also like bitcoin like Bill Gates, so we can not think in the same way, but it is clear that Warren Buffet is completely saying what is not right, he is just completely wrong about what bitcoin is.
5968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In-play or pre-match staking on: October 28, 2020, 11:04:02 AM
just not quite sure which odds is better the in-game or the pre-match.
The odds depends, it depends on the type you selected. For example, if you choose straight win for a strong team which is 1.3 odds, in 60 minutes of the game, if the strong team is already winning, the odd could be at 1.01 and will continue to be reducing. But, on the other hand, if you choose 1.1 odds for over 0.5, if no club has scored at 60 minutes, the odd could have increased to 2.9 and the more it will continuing increasing. And know that in-play matches are truly riskier.
5969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In-play or pre-match staking on: October 28, 2020, 10:56:04 AM
I think the pre-match betting is much risky since you might not know what will happen during fight for instance a player or two injured on the team this would really affect the game and probably the result of the game but if you bet on a in-play game there's a chance that you would be able to predict which team will win.
What I do commonly noticed is penalty, there are many times I lose because of the penalty played by the opponent of the team I chose, and if the opponent team is strong, there is a chance to later win the game within 80 minutes to 90 minutes. I too have seen in-play matches to be very risky. But also, I have tried betting pre-matches, losses often ensued also. Although, I am not addicted to betting, and using funds that I can afford to lose as been my best option.
5970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin changed after 10 years? Does it still have same benefits? on: October 28, 2020, 06:18:35 AM
If we check bitcoin price, marketcap and relate it with the latest news, we will not have to think twice before thinking correctly that bitcoin is a deflationary currency with its adoption increasing which makes it to be a coin that will benefit its holders.

I am hoping for the same.
Been using Bitcoin also before with every transaction.
But because of the traffic and high tx fee, I need to stretch my options into using other cryptocurrencies.
The last time was Ethereum and then heavy traffic came again with DeFi coming in.
Now I am using XRP.
You are right about the bitcoin fee which is very high, but not the transaction fee is the problem, it is the scalability, in such a way that time and fee are both the factors to be considered, I still make a transaction of bitcoin with a fee as low as $0.2, this is low enough, but it takes like 3 or more hours before such transaction will be confirmed.
5971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking Bitcoin is Scam on: October 28, 2020, 06:10:02 AM
They called bitcoin a scam but they missed out of the bitcoin bull runs, some people's life would have changed supposing they have bought bitcoin some years back. Bitcoin is now accepted by many electeonic payment companies like Neteller, Skrill, and very soon will be included in PayPal, many banks are now working towards adopting bitcoin. If now someone still stand and saying bitcoin is a scam, it is obvious that the person knows not of what he is saying and being foolish.
5972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulation Coin Mixers on: October 27, 2020, 01:26:36 PM
Another option is moving from BTC to Monero - while CoinJoins and Whirlpooling does partially break the chain of your coins, it does not permanently/completely do so. A little mistake, such as linking non-mixed/joined/whirlpooled coins to mixed/joined/whirlpooled ones, could just expose you again on the network.
I think this is a nice suggestion, but I know about Dash and Zcash too, they are cryptocurrencies that can not be tracked, any wallet that provide decentralized exchange is good enough for this. And thereby moving the coin back to bitcoin, the transaction will truly become mixed and not linked to the owner. But, I will just prefer to make use of bitcoin in its entirety for the mixing purpose, using your example above will be good which is the use of Chipmixer.

Are you sure? I am quite sure that someone giving you the private key to some coins doesn't mean they don't own the privkeys themselves. In fact, I'm pretty sure they actually do own them before handing them out. Smiley Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
According to the FAQ I read on chipmixer, they do mix coin and hand over the private key of the coin to the person that want use their mixing service. I think the private key will be generated in a way it will not be manipulated and only you will be able to check and see it. Correct me if I am wrong. Although, there are different ways mixers can mix bitcoin.
5973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulation Coin Mixers on: October 27, 2020, 12:54:02 PM
Just know that all mixers are noncustodial services that they are providing. You need to think about it yourself, why the need for custodial services to provide mixing services, it does not make any sense. You mix bitcoin only for one reason, to increase your privacy in a way your coins can not be traced to you, which mean you want to be anonymous in a way your bitcoin can not be traced to you, which means you want to handle bitcoin in a noncustodial way. All mixers are noncustodial, some even will give you your private key to the coin mixed which should be the appropriate means of mixing.
5974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Missed the golden opportunity, now what?? on: October 27, 2020, 07:11:35 AM
That is just it, bitcoin is a deflationary currrency, and I am glad you know that, it is even obvious as to what has happened in the past. In the next decade too, bitcoin would have reached all time high, gradually people are getting to know what bitcoin is, people are buying it, while also people are making use of it for one thing or the other. Some people would have bought bitcoin for only short term period and lose, especially during scalping to day trading, in such time, very possible may lose. Unlike holding, over a long period of time, certainly gain will results.
5975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, the complete version of money on: October 27, 2020, 12:10:50 AM
And since the beginning, it was created by Satoshi Nakamoto Bitcoin was planned to replace fiat. But the reality is different, Bitcoin prices are volatile and it
makes it difficult to make Bitcoin a payment. After all, not all countries accept Bitcoin as payment, so until now Bitcoin is still not fully
a currency. Bitcoin is currently only used as a digital asset by a large number of people.
I do not think bitcoin was planned to replace fiat, bitcoin was only created to be a decentralized currency that was to be an alternative to fiats and other form of money like gold. With what I see now, fiats can not be replaced by cryptocurrencies, but cryptocurrencies can only be an alternative. It will be people that will decide which one to take take, but with what I noticed about bitcoin and fiats, I can not think twice before I will choose bitcoin as a safe haven.
5976  Economy / Gambling discussion / In-play or pre-match staking on: October 26, 2020, 11:46:45 PM
I did noticed predicting football is not easy, that is why betting company can not go bankrupted, people always stake and either gain or lose, but most people do lose. That is why we should only take betting for fun, and using only the funds that we can afford to lose to bet, and not also be addicted.

I will like you people to let us discuss about pre-match type of staking or in-play staking in football, which one did you prefer? Which one is more risky?
5977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 26, 2020, 11:39:42 PM
Congratulations to Tottenham who narrowly won [1-0] at Burnley home.
Although, it was not a surprise for me, but anything can happy in sport, a small team can possibly win big team, but this match was not the the case. We all know that if Burnley continue to play like this, relegation will surely be the next for them in the following season. Although, I am not a fan to any club, but glad to see Tottenham won Burnley, but I thought the goals will be more than 1.
5978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 26, 2020, 09:36:36 AM
I think Burnley has been the weakest team so far in the Premier League so I would trust Tottenham tonight.I think we have had enough surprises during Saturday and Sunday that I expect the games to end like predicted tonight.I would bet on both teams to score in this game as Burnley will surely attack and so this leaves space for Tottenham to counter and score.I predict an open game tonight with a couple of goals.
Brunley is not only the weakest, there are 4 of them, West Bromwich Albion Sheffield United and Fulham are included, non of them have won a single match this season, I can see some of them to go be relegated. As for today's match, the chance that Tottenham will win is high, you are very right.
5979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: English Premier League Season: 2020/2021 on: October 26, 2020, 09:14:06 AM
The lose would be a large setback for Arsenal and Everton.
I too belive that, EPL is very competitive, this season has been so more competitive, no club in EPL this season that has not lost in a match or two, but it is now surfacing back as Liverpool is claiming to being on the top list. Normally, Everton has lost and may find it hard to retain the first position. As for Arsenal, the game is not surprising to me because not that they are better than Leicester this season some kind and they can fuck up at anytime as usual.
5980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, the complete version of money on: October 26, 2020, 06:26:54 AM
Safety is a top priority in dealing with bitcoin, keeping your bitcoin safe should be one of the things you need to do when dealing bitcoin and hardware wallets are the safest.
That is the issue people are facing while dealing with bitcoin, normally bitcoin is safe but people are ignorant and makes it not safe for themsleves because they ignorantly giving ways to hackers. But, if security are put in place and people avoiding hack, it will be difficult for hackers to get through. Also, some people are making use of services that are not suitable for protection, like using exchanges and custodial means, some people will give KYC to these services which can also lead to data breaches aside stealing of cryptocurrencies from such platforms. If people can use bitcoin ideally, by havimg their private key and also securimg their bitcoin, and bitcoin wallet will be good.
