Yep, it seems HF has it out for us as a collective group and are really sitting on their hands. At this point, anything would be a bonus so I'd take the refund or the miners. Screw these lawyers (oops, I'm sorry - Attorneys) and their serial future expenses, all expenses should come out of their end game % and that way they can plan and eat accordingly.

Just to get a correct tally on this: Atty wants $1k down plus 40% of the take or am I missing something? If that's the situation, then it's up to everyone w/ shares that wants a refund to pony up their share of $1k. Or, those that do pony up get a % of the prospective reclaimed funds in the event that we win of those that haven't paid over and above our own. Or, those that pony up more get their % of the % of those that don't pony up. Make sense? Getting a little complicated I know but fair is fair.

Starts around the 6:00 mark, intros and FSP stuff prior but good listen throughout. In case people don't know, FTL is big on BTC and the FSP and are on around 140 stations in the US and growing. He breaks it down for a noob and likely conservative audience which could have tens if not hundreds of thousands of listeners. Enjoy

How did the harvest turn out, I saw pics but I'm wondering how the market priced them at this juncture? Anything else complete or nearing completion down there? BTW, it's about 5 degrees F where I am. Tongue

Interesting. I listen to 97.1 FM The Ticket (sports radio) out of metro Detroit, specifically The Valenti & Foster Show, and they push ads for The D Las Vegas.

Perhaps this can coincide w/ getting chains of gyms/spas accepting coins this year.
5996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Impact of new Cryptocurrency wealth on 2016 US Presidential election? on: January 18, 2014, 08:45:41 PM
A very interesting concept indeed.

I think it will likely make an impact with regards to campaign budgets. Support and donations for Ron Paul should certainly increase.

But I really am not sure if the outcome will be changed, nowadays isn't the president chosen before the election begins?
For one, Ron's son Senator Rand Paul is the likely one that will be running under the banner of the Liberty Movement in the US. I doubt he'll take BTC donations but the nouveau riche can cash in up to $2500 of their coins and donate this "max" in bot the primary and the general. For those that have no limit on what they can afford, they can seek out Political Action Committees (AKA- PACs) that would support conservative-libertarians either for Prez or for House or Senate seats that would run along Rand if he gets the nomination. The upside here is that Rand is vastly more appealing to the average person even longtime establishment supporters because of his repackaging of the libertarian message into a more populist rendition that is harder for the media and other hacks to demagogue like they did w/ Ron's strict truthbombs, many of which were excessively iconoclastic. I will be supporting Rand to the max should he run for Prez and am currently donating to those that he endorses for House and Senate as his likely allies for his upcoming run. I'm also a local delegate in my district's GOP in MI and I regularly discuss BTC w/ party regulars as well as advocate for Rand's message of restoring America w/ free markets, individual liberty and personal responsibility.

Too bad all bitcoin mining will be dead this year, Mining will be only for the millionaires.

I'm mining forever. Tongue Regardless of profit.

In a twisted kind of way, mining at a level that is less than or equal to the cost of electricity is essentially using the electric company to convert fiat into Bitcoin. You get untraceable Bitcoin for fiat, which is definitely not a bad thing.*

*for various definitions of "bad".
And, it's not like most people don't pay good money for their hobbies even if the above wasn't the case. On one hand, it's over $100 for 2 tix, parking and food/drink to go down to Comerica's Park for a Tigers' game. For a similar amount, one could have 6-12 months worth of mining at that cost depending on one's hashing.
5999  Other / Politics & Society / Re: what would happen if you limited government representatives wages to... on: January 11, 2014, 10:53:20 PM
You'd get a part time legislature. New Hampshire state reps make $100 per year plus mileage and that state govt probably spends less than any other and has less taxes per capita than all but Alaska that doles out oil receipts.
