I was able to get a sneak preview of this last week. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=44076.0I went all in at that point. Bitcoin now has point of sale capability that is easy. Plus, no more carrying around your credit card. Everyone carries their cell phone these days. I was seriously thinking about getting back in at 4's after it held the second time, but I went to bed, woke up and the rally to 7 had happened, the buyers at 4 are in the better position, since they can just sell if the price starts going down to that level again.

Bitcoin was not designed to make me or you wealthy, So true. was designed for us to get out from bank's control. And that's where you lost it. Bitcoin was designed to make Satoshi (and others closer to the top of the pyramid) multi-millionaires at the very least. All other effects are secondary. I think that's the intention with the new scamcoin chains, as they already witnessed the crazy price bitcoins reached, but satoshi the original creator didn't know it could get so much interest, nobody did, the early adopters never thought they could get rich, it was nerdy fun 70000btc pizza anyone?

the market being "goxxed" starting to look likely, saw a single order for 5 then 4 without going through the bids in between...
if the original goxxed buy at 13 or whatever caused panic buying, this may have the reverse effect.
it's also possible the market just got goxxed, and nobody knows what is going on
$7 could go higher but likely will rebound.
I thought the original rally to 7 was a normal bounce from the low, which was confirmed a bit when it went back down a little, but now it's heading up again... I don't think that's short term bounce behaviour, don't go to sleep now the potential upside from a new real rally from 4's is very high, could cause panic buying(people thinking final wave into $100 or more, it's possible). who knows what will happen, all we can do is watch
Not likely. Several people have stated they had sells at around $10 that didn't get filled. Looks a lot like a bug, or else the whole exchange has been compromised.
some people may be scared by the rally and attempting to spread FUD about orders not being filled, I personaly have no idea If you think something went wrong you should wait for an official statement, I'm just going to keep watching the market for now, If another decline stops at 4's instead of the 2-3 range I will probably buy back in. It's possible some people just bought because of a similar reason, the chance for the crash to 2-3 was right there and it didn't happen.
That is the problem with bitcoin and all of these nerdy blockchains. The early adopters get so much out of it and the rest get burned. Reminds me of a pyramid scheme.
isn't that true for early adopters investing in anything that becomes big?

that's pretty good

The amount of BTC being offered for sale at 5.25 is just staggering. It truly dwarfs the amount of money wanting into BTC. Just two weeks ago people would have loved to buy at that price but now no one wants to touch them.
How can the price possibly recover when people do not want to buy, and even if they do buy, the amount of cash to bring the price back up to 7 is ridiculous.
Why buy at $7 if you can buy at $5.25? Why buy at $5.24 if you can buy at $4? Why buy at $4 if you can buy at $3? . . . People are going to keep pressing their luck until someone decides it's time to buy big, and the procrastinators lose out big time. The big dogs could bring the price up to $10 right now if they wanted to, which means double the value than $5.25 for them. Saw someone with a 17,000 btc bid at 5.25 earlier. you back in now?

I don't know what you were watching then, the big push into 5 was solid selling,
I said mine was real. Most are bogus. they haven't been bogus, it's been real selling through massive walls since about $10
Edward, I got up early and I am watching. Every bidwall is cancelled when it is sold into, except mine.
I don't know what you were watching then, the big push into 5 was solid selling,

the real world doesn't take this forum seriously, buy buy buy or sell sell sell on here has never caused anything.

lol, ya BTC dropped $1.25 today it's crazy insane and very sad.
Here's something I always wonder: Doomsdayers are always saying it looks like bitcoin might hit new lows. Wasn't the low 0 when it started? How can it go any lower than that? It was worth 24c US when I bought my first bitcoins last November. Never would have expected it to be at around $6 less than ten months later! I agree with the last part , they were 30c when I found out about them and I honestly would never have dreamed they could be over $5 by now, parity seemed unreal! bitcoin has moved so fast. it's a good reminder though, bitcoin will go on even after the speculators are scared off.
I'm not sure new people finding out about bitcoin now while its declining will have the same effect as it had when they found out while it was still rising, if they are real investors they will likely see it's not the best time to jump on.
did you see the amount of ask bids that got removed between 6 to 6.8( i think) as that little sell off to 6.89 happened. gave some people a fright they will probably come back up if the price floats up again
you might get a nice quick trade out of it, this can move quick so don't go to sleep I'm just going to watch for now. would take quite a lot to turn the market around at this point.
are you able to sell back out at a quick profit? this is probably a short term thing, we may see lots of them on the way down.
