I was in the DeepOnion airdrop which is actually a very good signature campaign.
But I can tell you why I left it - the community is full of teenagers or at least people who totally behave like teenagers. Turning serious technologies like DeepVault into MEME sharing service which is ridiculous. And they are fully tolerated from developers and Onion moderators to do it. 90% of them are posting total non-sense just to cover the requirements and nobody is reading what's already written on the subject.
If the DeepOnion Project is full of teenagers, and that may well be the case for all I know, they are teenagers that are making bank. The official DeepVault website will be published in the near future - a notary service of sorts available to all that may have 'serious' need of one and also for those that wish to 'verify' memes for kicks. It's a shame you left Dutch - there's plenty of thinking folk onboard to chat to. |

So that means one needs about 0.05 deepoints for 100onion, how much time will that take?
Some people have managed to achieve that in a day or so - how they do so without spamming (which will get you banned) has me scratching my head sometimes. I think they must just do ALL of the Domination tasks immediately and also get engaged in as many conversations as they can. |

To be clear: It is not necessary for any DeepOnion participant to purchase any Onions in order to be eligible for the Airdrop. Or perhaps you do understand. Either way, welcome aboard! I didn't understand, how else will one get 100deeponions without buying them?  Chat on the Community Forum. That's pretty well it. You accrue DeepPoints just by posting there, just as you are posting here. The DeepPoints are exchanged for Onion every Sunday. If you want to speed things up you can complete some of the 'Deep Domination' tasks that are outlined on the Forum which are mostly the usual 'Bounty' tasks - tweeting, posting on facebook, etcetera. All said though, you can easily accrue DeepPoints sufficient to be exchanged for 100 Onion by just making meaningful posts on the Forum in a week or two. |

I see, so this isn't really an airdrop at all but rather a bounty program.
It was a 'pure' airdrop until such stage as it was taken advantage of by very significant multiple-account abuse. Now it is an airdrop that has the necessary requirement that 100 Onion be present in each participants' Airdrop address. In order to not overly disadvantage people that have very limited access to funds, a participation program was started in the DeepOnion Community Forum to facilitate the easy accrual of 100 Onion. It is not necessary to make any contribution in the official bounty section of the Community Forum to accrue the 100 Onion. |

Yes tech72, everyone that is an active DO participant (assuming the other criteria mentioned) will receive 6-7% of the Onion in their respective airdrop wallet addresses at each consecutive airdrop. |

I'm interested to join this Airdrop for first time. Going through their airdrop rules: "Distribution will be based on the ONIONs you have in your account, you must have at least 100 ONIONs to qualify."
What does it mean? Do I need to have 100 coins in my address to join Airdrop? So they want us to buy these coins from market to participate in Airdrop? Doesn't make sense to me.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems IUNGO service providers will essentially be re-selling bandwidth supplied them by the main ISP they subscribe to.
If the IUNGO model proves wildly profitable, what is stopping the main ISPs (often the owners of internet infratructure) stepping in and undercutting IUNGO?
After all, there are examples of major ISPs providing their clients with modems/routers that, in addition to providing their customers with their direct bandwidth/speed/limits, allocate additional bandwidth to what is, in essence, a 'public internet'.

Just the assault due to the existence of DeepOnions and other pointless bulls as a justification for negative ratings. Did not you discuss with forum admins the possibility of completely deactivating the rating of your accounts, or at least periodically deleting them within the database of these "ratings"? It does not seem like that, but my colleague at work when I told him about Deeponions stopped at it and thought for a moment what to do. So of course he bought almost 2K onions, but  I suspect the negative trust ratings received by crypto-rainbow early in the Project just made him/her more determined to ensure that DeepOnion was successful. Battle-scars are worn with pride. |

You represent the 'sails' of the DeepOnion ship that will draw this Project into the future - the fact that you are onboard despite all the recent fudding and the recent slump in the DO market price is a credit to you all. How much are you getting for staking? Is there an annual average rate?
Personally I tend to use quite high block sizes, around 500 Onions each block, and for this I can hit a 5 Onion stake a month, There fore I can assume that I am currently getting about 12% return on my onions, which are increasing each week anyway with the Airdrop and Deep Points drop I use a high block size too - my entire airdrop wallet address! I implemeted coin-control and was about to break up my principal address into smaller blocks, but my brain suddenly went 'meh' and so I left all as it was. Perhaps I will reconsider maximizing my Onion PoS in the future - but currently my brain remains in 'meh' mode. |

I had that problem, for me the simplest way was to backup my wallet, reinstal it, than add fresh nodes. At the end I just imported backup wallet file and done. Luckily blockchain isn't that big for download again. +1 to this answer from pedjo99 - this did the trick for me on the one and only occasion the Onion wallet refused to sync - the problem that caused the weird wallet response was almost certainly the hard shutdown of the computer I performed immediately prior to the weird wallet response. If that makes sense. |
