61  Other / Meta / Re: Merit of the Hero Member on: September 27, 2018, 04:02:17 PM
I'm not sure that it was unlucky. Those of us who managed to get the merits to become legendaries have a sense of achievement. Maybe we should call them super-heroes. Smiley Now that the new merits system has become the old merit system as a result of the improvements. It is difficult to differentiate between "merited" legendaries and "senior" legendaries.

Probably time for a new rank to separate the "kids" from the actual "legends" of the forum. I think I remember someone suggesting a rank called Mythical or something along those lines I quite liked. I would say the first 10 people to reach it or have the requirement so high only a few will ever reach it.

I guess, there will be no words that best portray as more to legendary like this is already overrated.
Or you can consider to be Eternal nor Divine rank.
I'm sorry if that sounds more in gaming world.  Cheesy
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HAS BITCOIN REALLY STOOD THE TEST OF TIME? on: September 27, 2018, 03:25:20 PM
You know, $6k is correct price for Bitcoin. That $20k was pure hype, and hype never lasts much. We are seeing true value now.

That what the others says and besides $6,000 is still higher than the previous value and when we didn't consider the $20k mark and if you bought bitcoin at $1k on January 2017 and still hold your bitcoin up to now, you already profited ×6 of your initial money. With that, did we loss? No.

Stop over thinking things as it will boil you down until your nerves won't function and end up selling in panic. These " negative speculation " will somehow affect the market but it shouldn't affect on how you perceive the market.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EXPECTATION Vs. REALITY Bitcoin in the Eyes of the People! on: September 26, 2018, 02:43:33 PM
Most newcomers enter into the crypto world with an expectation to get rich overnight. They expect the event of bitcoin reaching new ATH of $20,000 last year again. But it was only due to the launch of bitcoin futures. Reality is that the bitcoin price is even struggling to cross $8,000 range. Expecting a high return is not wrong but, they should invest and wait on a long-term basis to reap their expected benefits.

Aside from the fact that these people flocked here without knowing how to differentiate bitcoin from blockchain and they were like zombies that bought just because they heard that they can profit a good amount. On a contrary, that helped the marketcap mounted to more billion which had drawn more attention to investors and resulting of constant rise.

I always find it funny when some here didn't know what is blockchain and mistakenly brand bitcoin as blockchain, and bitcoin as altcoin. Huh
64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fighting your own FOMO on: September 26, 2018, 10:52:09 AM
It's next to imposible to overcome.

Let's be honest that even we said that we got rid of being a FOMO there's something inside us that we still feel being like this especially if we're waiting for some good pump and dump and so getting too agitated. Don't be pretentious anyway.

More likely, what we can do to cope is to divert our attention to some other things and refresh our mind from all of these crypto heart break and yeah some yoga sessions will do.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money on a long-term period on: September 26, 2018, 07:55:16 AM
To save money in the long run the best way is to keep it in the bank with savings book. But in order to save in the long run, the need for perseverance of the saver. Be determined not to use the savings to get a large enough amount to invest in the long run.
i think frugality is not a good answer, but to save money in a long period of time, we can invest, so I do not recommend saving money in the bank, because it does not correspond to inflation that occurs

Either way, where we can actually save our money? Inflation is part of economy and whether we like it or not we can't avoid hence just deal with it. If we save up in banks then expect that the value depreciate in no time likewise if you wanna take some risk, then invest in bitcoin and see how it kills inflation.

Otherwise, save on top of your earning and not from what it's left. I have a friend that don't know how to save and all he knows is to spend everything for his wants, and now all the gadgets that he bought is now gone as he sold it for few bucks. Don't brag over the material things but be proud of yourself from learning how to save.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: found an ICO need advice on: September 26, 2018, 04:42:46 AM
  Should I risk a little ?

If you're really unsure and doubtful then just wait for that certain token to be listed in exchange sites and who knows you can buy less than the ico price and that's the best bargain.

This is just like hitting two birds with one stone since you save yourself from getting scammed and you can buy more when people dump their token. Isn't that a best deal for now most especially with thr current situation of ico. It's hard to risk our hard earned money.
67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto exchangers and kyc on: September 26, 2018, 03:52:55 AM

68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think there's another way to pay in the future? on: September 26, 2018, 01:32:21 AM
I would not want to participate in this. It's horrible. But I think that this is possible in the near future.
I am not thinking this in the future to use chip implanted in our body as payment. I am okay to use the current system technology use in any transactions. This is not be accepting by others to use chip that has a big impact on our health condition.
And that we should be taking up for consideration since nobody wants to compromised their health. This idea isn't far to happen since everything  revolutionized on its own and health issue will hopefully solve as this chip will surely have a small percentage of radiation which still harmful.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKks3vfiy6Q How NFC phones can steal your credit card info.

So, this is part of the future, is the first step, we need to make it more secure and will be the favourite payment method, just because it's easy.

We have all the time and this issue surely brought to the knowledge of the manufacturer and hopefully be resolve in time. If this will happen, we can shop without bringing anything.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Most secured way to avoid scam ICO bounty on: September 25, 2018, 06:24:57 PM
1. Choose an ICO with a lot of activity - You can see it on their facebook page or twitter. Look if the company joins a lot of conference and things that can promote their coin.

I can't say it can be a good point because there's some that doing these and those but ends up a scam because money has already blinded them.

2. Choose an ICO with an admin that responds quickly - We all have some specific questions and corrections that
needs to be made and an admin that responds quickly for every question is a plus.

What if they have this plan already? "Ok, let's make our project looks like a legit one so be very patiently in answering their questions, don't make them suspicious." How was that?

3. Look for the one that reached their soft cap - If an ICO reached its soft cap then its a high chance that it will be successful.

It's true and upon reaching their softcap they'll be entirely keep going. However, did you heard about envion? They raised almost $100M and guess what they disappear in the wind. Such a total crap.

We can conclude that no matter what the metrics, if people really have motives to scam then they will, even at all costs.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTIES That's Paying ETHEREUM (or Listed Currencies) on: September 25, 2018, 04:12:35 PM
Thanks for these information it really helps on bunty hunting.

And if theres someone who are looking for more Bounty campaigns who uses BTC, ETH as payment for their participants you can find more of these at
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
there are plenty of them with most of them being fake!
i try to add here only the one verified with 0% of scams!

Maybe this is what vlast01 is talking about
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953

This is an overview of bitcointalk signature ad campaigns and they're paying weekly with bitcoin and they weren't fake, I mean they're all legit like they paying good amount to their participants and spending significant amount of bitcoin so how does it became scam?

And you can see that there are campaigns such as FortuneJack, BitDice, YoloDice, Yobit and ChipMixer that had been running for years, though it isn't a bounty but more on advertising gambling sites but they're legit as ever.

Certainly, I don't know how you base your criteria for saying if it's scam or not, perhaps I'm loss.

So no, tests aren't an ideal solution.

I believe so like even they passed the test but still they're just hard headed people that even they know the rules, they won't follow it just because they don't want to. Isn't just waste of time?

Simply, if these people doesn't want to cooperate with the rules then ban it, otherwise it's easy for them to create again a new account, so I would suggest that the fees should be more higher so they'll valued their account.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can too many Altcoin's can become a threat to bitcoin's existence on: September 19, 2018, 06:51:27 AM
Nope. Just see the current scenario — Bitcoin dips a bit, altcoins dip a lot only strong will survive.

Exactly, this trend tell us everything and what we exactly needed to do.

Altcoin being a threat to bitcoin is just an ambitious move of every altcoin as they're all dreaming that one day they will be on top. Nonetheless, no one will and ever replace on where bitcoin is. The fact that even a lot of bitcoin fork coins were born, trying to imitate what bitcoin had, they even won't touch the bottom of bitcoin.

Don't get confuse with altcoins, some of them were like a rotten ones in crypto sphere.

76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS HOLDING TRULY THE SOLUTION TO DROP OF BTC PRICE? on: September 19, 2018, 05:47:16 AM
Holding can be scary if other people will only sell because it can drag the prices down.
It's scary when big whales dump their huge holdings, like just what happened when Mt. Gox trustee dump their 16,000 bitcoin yet still in control of 137,890 btc which is 0.87 percent of circulation so if that will happen the whole community will be mess.

Holding can either be beneficial or a threat to another's cryptos.
As you can see it is volatile depending on supply and demand.

Therefore, the effects will still depend on how people treat and execute the holding method, if its do wrongly it will be abuse.
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My life will change when there is a Merit on: September 19, 2018, 03:33:46 AM
I was doing my campaign, until yesterday I realized I was just a newbie because I didn't have a Merit.
What should I do  Huh, looking forward to help :-
There are a lot of members just like you and me, I think they need a good contribution they give you a Merit, maybe this is not easy
This is more like a race than a discussion forum Grin

Really now? It's easy if you guys will learn to stop talking and do more reading so you can post more relative and useful things. Even if you create more threads ( like this ) won't helo you getting a merit.

Now what can you do to get back to do your signature bounty.

Unfortunately, they can't go back to their signature campaigns as it's required to be a junior member to be eligible.
I'm really sick on people that making noise than using their brains. Shocked
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term argument for bitcoin on: September 18, 2018, 11:09:33 AM
~
although many altcoins have a better potential than bitcoin but they cannot guarantee that they can continue to survive in the future and bitcoin will remain firm on top of being one of the best digital coins of all time.

This. Not just because they have a lot of potential doesn't mean that they can surpass bitcoin. Just to remind everyone, altcoins are made from shadow of bitcoin since they see it a successful one and they're dreaming to have somerhing that can follow what bitcoin has reached.

~
And I think bitcoin is a benchmark for all cryptocurrency.

Yes it is. Just see how altcoins' value depends on bitcoin movement.
79  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where to sell my BTC (internationally) on: September 18, 2018, 09:01:24 AM
I have few concerns regarding this, say BTC does Hit 100k suddenly (like it did when it jumped to 19k about a year ago) at some point, will Any Exchange actually accept buying my ONE (1 BTC) and give me Cash Huh?.....

Which Trusted International Exchanges should I deal with to sell my BTC in exchange for Fiat ??...

I am from Dubai, we have here a website called Bitoasis, but am hesitant, I have a feeling that many exchanges will refuse buying my BTC for real cash WHEN BTC hits huge numbers 30-100k $...

plz correct me if am wrong...

Yeah. Why would they refuse? Services that buy and sell bitcoin makes profit regardless of high or low bitcoin's price is as they have their own price cuts. It's not like they would hold(or hodl) the bitcoin. Those kinds of services pretty much automatically sell the bitcoin they buy and vice versa to protect them from the volatility.

Exactly. And in the first place before they step in to that business they already knew the consequences of it so you as their customer, you don't need to worry about this and just trade your bitcoin into fiat. To be honest, having this kind of business is really good but you need huge capital.  Roll Eyes

Likely, you can sell your bitcoin easily on your local bitcoin sites. There you go.

80  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: September 17, 2018, 06:38:09 AM
From what I have seen so far in this forum and other crypto platforms, most of us want fiat eliminated. But let us not forget that there are still situations whereby we can't use crypto except fiat like in rural places without computers or even internet facilities.

I guess you shouldn't believe everything what you read here because some here are just dreaming and just blown out by the trend but in reality, no matter how eager we want it, that will be far to happen.

We can simply say that we can't eliminate but we can append cryptos as another payment method and that's I think is more feasible in the future if these two will work together. As fiat the most established currency while cryptos revamp on how the payment method works.
