Those who will trade their new "token" CLM might be considered as they were accepted agreement with Cryptopia and their refund offer valuated in NZD.

Be careful about the possible consequences of using(trading) their "token" CLM.

43% loss on LTC amount, and around 40-50% loss at LTC price growth ... did you calculate the total LTC loss? Did you compare your calculation with the 'token" CLM offer value?

I didn't have NZD, and I also want coins and tokens I bought.

I can only say that everything is clear with this manager putting official announcement ON DISCORD with a lot of explaining

Let's make a group law sue

Nothing is clear, especially what will the court decide.

Compare the court decisions in MtGox (Japan), and Cryptsy (Belize, USA) as the most characteristic and different cases. At MtGox case the court decided very good, clients will get the most of the found, recovered Bitcoins, and in Cryptsy case the court decided to sell very big majority of the coins (smaller altcoins) to the only 3 persons for few thousands USD only to each of that buyers, as I have read.

Is that risk acceptable to you?

How much percent of your invested money do you plan to get in the case similar to the second one? Did you calculate that?

63  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: February 20, 2019, 12:36:51 PM
From Cryptopia twitter,  Feb 14 2019:

"Update: The police have now given us access back to our building, while they continue their investigations. Our staff are working relentlessly to evaluate the funds that were stolen."

They are doing evaluation. For me that is measuring, calculating USD values of stolen coins.

USD value of stolen coins at this 1 year bear market is minimal. No matter how much we paid for our coins, that current value of stolen coin at the 1 year bear market is minimal or close to it.

That could mean, Cryptopia's obligations to us, to their clients, measured in USD in such bear market is very likely quite minimal.

If we can't get our coins or funds (remaining) that could mean: our losses or missed opportunities could very likely become maximized in this bear market, and Cryptopia's obligations to us could very likely become minimized.

In the eventual court proceedings we have to ask for preventing the clearance sale of our funds.

If you lower the incentives to mine this coin by the business rules you came up with, doesn't that also undermine the security of the network if not a lot of people mine it?

Lynx Team is testing new Lynx HPoW (Lynx Hybrid Proof of Work) mining algorithm which could remove your/our doubts. You can read new reddit topic about that, and discuss about your question:

Nothing? I see devs are working continuously. Check it on github. Smiley

Isn't there also a car company similar to Uber that is called Lynx? Why do you call your project Lynx, what is the idea?

At the official homepage of Lynx Ben, who is the development leader of this rebranded coin, wrote: " It’s also our way of paying homage to the text-only web browser (Lynx) we used back in college in 1994."

It means, Lynx browser is one of the first internet browsers (1992), and is still in development!!! Smiley

Btw, zoologists consider lynx as the biggest cat who can meow. Smiley

So, this coins will continue where its predecessor stopped.

70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LYNX] Lynx (We fixed Kittehcoin!) on: March 23, 2018, 10:25:23 AM

Second this.

Devs, please turn this coin into POW/POS hybrid or 100% POS, it will stay "eco-friendly" but be much more secure. Zero reward POW is not gonna work, look what happened to IFC, for example.

I think the reward system could work. Devs have clearly decided this isn’t mining for profit, but mining just enough to secure the network and earn enough to pay for your own transactions. I think, too, that there are other possibilities for the network down the line that may make us all think differently about mining for rewards, ie, if the ideas that will run on top of Lynx are good enough, there may be plenty of people willing to support the network for free, just to enjoy the benefits of greater returns in Lynx. Just a thought.

I don't agree with PoS variants cause I don't know any good imaplementation of PoS which could work fast while syncing after 1-2 millions of blocks, i.e. 1-2 years in the case of Lynx blocktime 30s.

I like idea of PoS very much if PoS is very low, but current implementations of PoS are very bad for longer term coins.

Possible implementation of the merged mining is good idea.

This I already wrote so you can comment:

"Lynx coins works very fast when you need syncing or resyncing. All my PoS coins are very slow at that jobs, totally uncomparable with the speed of Lynx. I think only one PoS coin which should consider is Peercoin which does not have problems with syncing speed. Novacoin or Blackcoin clones are very bad when coins is more than 1 or 2 year old, by my experience."

"I will test syncing all of this coins, maybe I will change my view: https://coinsutra.com/proof-of-stake-cryptocurrencies/ "

"First I tested PIVX coin. Syncing of the whole blockchain  lasted more than 4.5 h. Coin is old about 2 years.  Problem which will became extremely big (just like with the vast majority of PoS coins) is exponential growth of time needed to synchronize the blockchain. It means, first year was synchronized at 1 h,  but second year required almost 4 h to finish sinchronization. I think at the next years this coin will become just like the most of the other PoS coins where you have to wait big time, few hours or evan more time  to synchronize for example 1 last week or 1 last month of the newest blockchain data.
Also, PIVX has block time 60s, and Lynx has block time 30s. In the case of the introducing PoS and the same/similar way of the calculating PoS, Lynx could have big problem with the blockchain syncing after 1 or 2 years after the possible  PoS forking time which will escalate further with the time and the acceptance.
At the current state, Lynx syncing time is very fast. Similar coins which is reviving last months is Argentum which became similar to DigiByte (I think). Argentum's syncing is also very fast, a bit faster than Lynx cause of  block time 45s. In the recent forks, Argentum introduced  4 new algos: Lyra2re2 (GPU)
Myr-Groestl (GPU/ASIC)
Argon2d (CPU)
Yescrypt (CPU/GPU)   as addition to scrypt and sha256d. I think while mining each algo is used to mine one coin block after previous one which is mined by previous algo  from the algo serie.
Maybe this DigiByte/Argentum  multi-algo coin way  is better than introducing PoS. What do you think?"

"PoS implementations is very bad on every coins i tried, except (MAYBE) in Peercoin which has bigger block time than Lynx for example. Such coins are not suitable for regular and longer term use. For those coins with short blocktime like Lynx has, problems with the long time syncing startss even at its 1st year and despite its no wide acceptance. If this coin is short term game, then everything mentioned is not important."

Additional: PIVX is 2 years old coin, and now it has only 1 million blocks, and at this moment its PoS and masternodes implementation seems better than implementation at Novacoin or Blackcoin clones. But exponential growth of the syncing time is easy to notice by measuring synced blocks and passed time. At the current time and state this implementation is quite good.

I have more than 10 PoS coins, and all of them are very bad, very slow while resyncing after 1-2 millions of blocks. I think all of them are based on Novacoin or Blackcoin, and all of them have bad implementation while syncing (very slow, it depends on the current number of blocks in the blockchain) including Novacoin and Blackcoin.

Current implementation of Lynx is very fast, Lynx is one of the fastest coins while syncing or resyncing and I like that very much. By known PoS implementation it will be heavy ruined after quite short time, I think and would not like to check it.

Which coin have the best PoS implementation and don't have slow syncing or resyncing which getting worse exponentially by the time? (coin should be old more than 2 years, and coin should have more than 2 millions of  "PoS-ing blocks")

Wow. Now that builds confidence I'm sure.

You know, there are way of inviting caution, and there are ways of instilling panic.

I'm beginning to wonder . . .

Reading this post I dont feel it as a caution at all, I feel it more like a cataclysm that's about to come! I quess we all know the risks we take when we make an investment, but still, this one above doesnt really sound as an advice!

Why invest in great leaders? Coblee is one of them!

Cause we like our leaders so so much!

We want to give all our money to them. This is the least thing we could do for our leaders.

We follow all our leaders, we follow and listen every their words, all their thoughts, all their works.

Our minds are perfectly influenced and subordinated.

In few words, we adore our leaders.

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MEOW] KittehCoin - UPDATED 2017 on: August 04, 2017, 06:07:14 PM
I seriously think the recent kittehcoin "news" was just a quick pump and dump scam. Kittehcoin was nog selling for 1 satoshi on cryptopia for months, some fake news comes online and all of a sudden the price spiked to 20 satoshi, someone just made some quick bucks. Verry little buys after that, only sells.

Last few LTC of buy orders are now in the books at 3 2 and 1 satoshi. I think these are the last buy orders and they will be gone in a few hours/days and the price is back to 1 satoshi or no buyorders at all. After that everyone is just bagholding millions of dead kittehcoin (again).

Price (LTC)   Amount (MEOW)           Total (LTC)   Sum (LTC)
0.00000003   835302246.80157508   25.05906740   25.05906740
0.00000002   934293100.45873171   18.68586201   43.74492941
0.00000001   1602554100.84298070   16.02554101   59.77047042

The price isn't even the biggest problem here but look at the volume spike and drop, this is classic for a pump and dump

https://www.kittehcoin.net/ Came online in June and said news would come in July, July has since past and the message is now removed with no update or nothing.

Also there seems to be a problem with the block-explorer being stuck and on top of that 50 billion extra kitteh coins have been mined due to an exploit.

Would have loved to see some new live to this project but im happy I sold out completely a couple of weeks ago

Such analysis you could write for every coins including bitcoin and all its forks, clones, modifications.

Such analysis you can write and read on the biggest news and magazines.

Such pump and dump tradings are everywhere on every coin with no exceptions at all. Last one of the biggest cases is the extremely high class quick pump and dump of so-called bitcoin cash last days.

So, the basic questions for you are:

Do you recommend selling at the current price?

Do you plan to rebuy this coin again at this current prices?

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MEOW] KittehCoin - New UPDATED Thread on: July 13, 2017, 05:26:03 AM
I am going to look over the wallet and try to find the source of the attack.

If there is anything that can be done then I will make the changes and update the github source and windows wallet.

I will start working on a new version of the wallet, any and all support welcome!

Everything will be back online within 1 weeks time and hopefully we can start moving forward!

If anyone knows off hand where the attack is from it would help greatly to fix the problem!

We can't fix that cause first attack/injections of 1st billion coins happened 2016-12-16. at the block 1239257.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/meow/block.dws?0d9ffa8f3c57b550028b127b6e2d4efed02e4c666c3994d041f14890226513db.htm

Check blocks:

1239257
1239258
1239259
1239260
1239261

Many people traded from that time.

Only solution now is to prevent future attacks. Now it exists block explorer and we can control every possible attacks and cancel all future attack transactions.

Also, in the source code it should be added new checkpoints regularly.

Think about changing from the scrypt to the x11 with masternodes.

Hi cats

Some news from new devs
https://kittehcoin.io

🐈

Instead of thinking about Ethereum maybe it is better idea to consider x11 masternodes to make coins more secure.

Problem with Ethereum will be too big blockchain very soon. Some predictions wrote about 1TB Ethereum blockchain size till the end of this year.

Also, it is good idea to insert in source code new checkpoints regularly.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: KittehCoin $MEOW on: June 25, 2017, 05:16:03 PM
So who is the dev now?

Is that important?

At the very most of the coins many things are smaller or not so big modifications only.

Who should be dev?

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MEOW] KittehCoin - New UPDATED Thread on: June 13, 2017, 11:17:42 AM

It seems we can learn how coin pump worked.

Now we can learn how forcing to dump works too.

There were no big buy orders to drop all the MEOW on a high price, so seems a lot of people still keep their MEOW and are interested to see what's up next!
For now most important is someone (or a group) who can secure the chain so there won't be an attack again. After that we can work upwards with marketing and I know some people are working on new platform based on Kittehcoin.

To prevent any further attack we all could agree to return to the previous state before potential new attack. Now we have block explorer, we have new number of coins 77,322  M, and that is possible. Before new buying every buyer can check if it happened new attack and he should do it.

How can we get someone to check the chain and secure it?? Ideas please??  Huh

I don't know. I asked the same questions for the newer code of bitcoin or litecoin. For dash too. Nobody answered if that is possible.

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MEOW] KittehCoin - New UPDATED Thread on: June 11, 2017, 03:36:42 PM
The fact that the coin was exploited and somebody added a vast supply of coins using an attack on the coin should be added to the original post and/or a new thread started.

The coin, as it is, bears no resemblance to the original kittehcoin. Imagine if a person added 20 million bitcoin through a hack, and then bitcoin developers hid that fact.

If people are going to continue developing this coin after that exploit they should at least have the honesty to detail the exploit in the op and sketch out a solution or start a new thread that describes the new coin.

I agree.

Are the newer versions of bitcoin or litecoin immune to the such kind of attack?

Is dash immune to this kind of attack?

80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MEOW] KittehCoin - New UPDATED Thread on: June 09, 2017, 11:59:52 AM
Yes I agree these coins were sold to investors at 1 Litoshi and it is not for us to take away someones investment. What we can do is strengthen the chain and prevent anyone from trying any funnies again.

There is too many new people coming to this coin right now and we need all the proper things in place like wallets and website. Seeing Ldoge go so high has drawn many into Kittehcoin. Lets make their stay comfortable and get to work.

So is there anyone that can work some magic? Please come forward

Completely agree with you and great to see some action on KittehCoin again! I have already started working on a new website at http://www.kittehcoin.net/
Unfortunately not much experience in coin development so hope we can find someone that's willing to work on that.
