62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Businessman be the Owner of Bitcoin Market ? on: November 19, 2017, 02:31:06 AM
Yes they could, but bitcoin users already a lot so it will difficult for them to get the total control, and they need to balance their domination because when they monopoly too much then people will find other coin, and causing  the price will be very unpredictable, usually whales prefer alt coin, it is easier  to control it

They can't simply do this because while buying tons of bitcoin, the price will keep increasing like crazy and it will be high so that they won't afford to buy more. And the total expense for such action would be around $200-400 billion dollars or more for 50% of the bitcoins.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Use-Specific Cryptocurrencies Dead? on: November 19, 2017, 02:20:27 AM
90% of erc20 tokens will fail. EtH can be used for all of erc20 tokens purposes. The ones who will remain,  will got to have backing of strong communities.

Yes, agreed. In general, 95% of the startups fails in the world. If this applies, 95% of the ERC20 tokens will fail as well. But 5% rest, will be the dominating ones in the field of blockchain generation business.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS - Get in Before it is too Late on: November 19, 2017, 01:56:50 AM
He say that Stratis price cheap now. But there are some fears that June'17 not repeat Smiley And he partially right. Time to clear altcoin market. But it's dream only
Ah well, 2018 is the year for alts imo. Also looking at what is coming for Stratis I am confident we will see an increase in interest for Stratis.

Where did I heard it before. While I'd prefer to get in while the price is just cents in every token, this isn't cheap anymore unless I know there are going to be much businesses going to get into stratis platform. Its price rise up to $7 months ago so why did it drop and could it happen again?

Lots of people are saying that they aim 2x for the STRATIS, but I'm afraid of another dump in it. I'm seeking a right enter point to be a part of STRATIS community. Just can't understand the exact right point to start buying it.
65  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: November 19, 2017, 01:29:36 AM
Bitcoin is a good investment now, because promising investments from other coins and Bitcoin has proven its performance with a good price for now Wink
The increasing price of bitcoin is because many countries are recognise bitcoin now, so market looks bitcoin as promising investment, especially asian market. After japan accept bitcoin, asian market become better for bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a good investment now, because it allows us to send money to our friends globally without the control of the central authorities. We don't need bank accounts and ID verification for this.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $1k investment. which cheap $0-$10 Alts should I invest in for long-term? on: November 19, 2017, 12:58:45 AM
Except WAVES and OMG, I don't know the rest. For both, I can say good thing because I hold some too. But holding them for 5 year is just amazing if you can do this dude. If you're that patient, you can find very promising tokens for long term investment.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which privacy coins will moon in 2018? on: November 19, 2017, 12:21:26 AM
I've been told that XSPEC an XVG will compete with ZEC and XMR in 2018.

What does everyone else think?

Any other suggestions?

Not xspec or xvg actually. Only two in my mind when you say privacy, Zcash and Monero. They proved themselves on the market and we all know they're really doing this well. They'll keep growing in the market.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: November 18, 2017, 11:50:12 PM
Hold it, watch and see what happens between 2018 - 2020. Maybe by 2019 IOTA or LITECOIN may have taken over.
It's a good one and from what we know, lots of other ICOs would come on top of the Ethereum platform so it's going to be around for a very long time.

You're secured.

yes, i think is better at hold. we know by the beginning of 2017 the price of ethereum reaches more than 0.1 BTC / ETH. I think it will return to that price, I've heard there are predicting that the price of ethereum will reach 0.18 - 0.20 BTC / ETH. but I do not know this is hoax or correct.

You should maintain your position. If your cost per ETH isn't less than $50, it's not reasonable to sell it to get dollars or bitcoin. With POS system, ETH will be the start of crypto once again. No worries, just wait for POS update and official announcement.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Myetherwallet who use this? How much ETH holding? on: November 18, 2017, 11:31:03 PM
No one will tell you how much he has coins. I'm using Myetherwallet. To be honest, I did not quite understand the MEW. Long time to install, then update. After posts that MEW is safe, maybe I'll try again.

You're talking about something different. There is no loading time in MEW. You just click and download your JSON file that's all. The rest takes seconds to complete.

71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do u think bitcoin value in 2018 will be $ 15K? on: November 01, 2017, 06:19:28 PM
i think bitcoin will goes up to $10000 only in 2018 since the prediction for the price at year 2022 are at $25000 only so $10k per btc is much closer to happen. but there's still a possibility that the price can reach $15k if the demand of btc raised and also if they avoid panic selling.

That's just one guy's prediction. And quite frankly that is an insanely low prediction! There is no way Bitcoin isn't way higher than $25k in 2019. It might even hit $25k in 2018. 2022 it will likely be over $100k. It might hit $10k in the next two or three months.
I just do not understand, Why do you take such figures? How can we expect Bitcoin to grow so much in the next years? Actually, a lot of forecasts from specialists were heard and met not only at the forum but also in other Internet resources, but how real they will be able to determine only in the future.

I don't think it will be 15k $ in 2018. It chould go up in 2019, rather than 2018. Because 2018 will be full of rumors and regulationg effects.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's market value is now larger than Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley on: October 13, 2017, 01:55:09 PM
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/13/bitcoin-market-cap-bigger-than-goldman-sachs-and-morgan-stanley.html

Quote
Bitcoin's market capitalization has surpassed major stocks such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, after the cryptocurrency hit an all-time high on Friday.

The virtual currency hit a record high of $5,856.10 in the early hours of Friday morning, according to data from industry website CoinDesk. Its market capitalization, which is the total value of all the bitcoin in circulation, reached $96.7 billion, according to Coinmarketcap.com.

Of course, bitcoin is not a stock. But if it were, its market cap would surpass that of some big companies, including the following:

BHP Billiton with a market cap of $96.6 billion
Goldman Sachs with a market cap of $92.9 billion
Morgan Stanley with a market cap of $89.1 billion
Netflix with a market cap of $84.5 billion.

Bitcoin would be the 15th largest component of the Nasdaq and 58th largest by market cap on the NYSE.

This is explaining very well why they attempt to make scam accusations and blamings for bitcoin. I'm not surprised to read this great numbers showing bitcoin surpassed all others.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC Price Pumps and Forks on: October 13, 2017, 01:22:27 PM
As the price of BTC is increasing on an upward trend and falls only by few bucks, short-term Alternative Coin traders are crying blood. I believe it is due to the upcoming fork. How many more forks are we expecting in the future? It seems that through forks they are pumping the price of btc and once the price becomes stagnant they will start another fork.

There is no way to figure out how many more forks are on the way for the next years. Some rich people can decide a fork and they rent some developers to make this fork happen. This can be within a month or so.

We observed one on august, and the next one is on this month. Maybe several for the november and december, who knows.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Portfolio on: October 12, 2017, 03:53:58 PM
Waves is your best choice because waves future is very good and this is a really attractive coin. Already waves added my portfolio list. Just hold for minimum one years than you are a big rich man.On the other hand i have no idea about aragon coin.

Onestly I think Waves  can make a  x2 / x3...   so  I don't  think all this potential  to became  a  100$  coin....

There are others  coin that  will  be in the range of 60-100$ (Shift, aragon)

Waves is promising because they have a real working product as their dex platform exists. So it's a good selection.

Sonm, this Russian project collected around 40 million dollars but their excahnges are not the famous ones like Bitttrex or poloniex.

Aragon, similar to waves, it's very promising if you can hold your tokens for long term investment.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: October 12, 2017, 03:38:59 PM
Another Bitcoin Hard Fork Is on the Way

I dont know how many fork will coming next years. why people want change bitcoin network so much. this is still good enough for us
Because they want power, they want to control the network and the developers are refusing to let go of the control, personally I’m with the devs the changes that the miners want to implement on the network do not make sense, after segwit we do not need larger blocks, they just want to fork bitcoin to prove they have the control but it seems people are not going to follow them.

Nice explanation, they only want another bitcoin where they will have the full authority and control on it. So they can be the ruler of that hyped new bitcoin and turned into very rich people. I'll never support this attempts.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What electric rates would get you to move your mining operations? on: October 11, 2017, 07:44:00 PM
McAffee moved his mining operations to China, 'cause he gets his electricity there for free. There are also some mining operations in Iceland with an electricity rate of 0,05 cents per kWh. If your city want to compete with that, I suggest a rate of zero to join the club. But then you might just want to run the mining business on your own.

Where is that of 0,05 cents per kWh? I can even move my mining equipments and hardware for 5 cents per kWh. You made a typo maybe. It cannot be 0,05 cents per kWh, can be only 0,05 dollars per kWh.
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting the Trade on: October 11, 2017, 07:04:12 PM
Hello, which exchanges are good to start learning how to trade between Bitcoin and Altcoin?

There's no "best" exchange that would teach you anything about trading. None of them will, you have to learn it by yourself. Personally i started trading in kraken, but there's tons of other ones which might be better, so you can choose basically any and see which you like most.
This is true, theres no best exchange that would really teach you to trade since you would really make yourself learn all on your own but i would suggest go into those trading sites which do have demo trading which you can actually made trades without risking your real money which is advisable since we are just starting.

Learning this doesn't up to the exchange, this only depends on the time consumed while learning it. No matter which exchange platform you're using actually. This can be bittrex, etherdelta, bitfinex, any of them.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying for citizenship using Bitcoins! on: October 11, 2017, 06:50:01 PM
The government of the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu has said that it has started accepting bitcoin for its citizenship program. Now foreginers can have Vanuatuan Citizenship by paying 43Bitcoins which is currently around $200,000 .Vanuatu is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, its citizens are allowed to travel in 113 countries, including European Union (EU) states,Russia, and Great Britain, without a visa. This privilege will also be given to foreigners who have
acquired Vanuatuan citizenship. This is the first government to accept bitcoins for a citizenship.

article source :- https://cointelegraph.com/news/you-can-buy-vanuatu-citizenship-with-bitcoin-43-btc-worth-today

Great news, and some of bitcoin rich people can get their passport so they enlarge their life standards by visiting all the countires without visa, at least UK and European ones.

It's only 44 BTC which I never had before.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term HODL Cryptos on: October 11, 2017, 05:07:09 PM
If you were planning to hold for long term because you said you were going to hold the crypto coins around 4-5 years, the best coin would be Bitcoin and Ethereum. For sure you will profit from those two coins than those cryptocoins you've mentioned but I could be wrong.  Roll Eyes
There are not many coins worth holding for the long term, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin are at the top of my list the rest will depend on what you think is going to be next big thing on cryptocurrencies, so it could probably good idea to hold one of the anonymity coins for the long term too.
agreed, market is very volatile. You may not recognize some of top 10 currencies in 1 year, so I would choose to invest in some well-known and "stable" currencies like those 3
You're right.
I am planning keep a bit of bitcoins, the ability to fork (once again, it may not happen)
Buy out, if you have and buy (if you have not bought it yet) - small shit with prospects that has slipped, for example Monero or some of new ico atlant or confideal

Bitcoin can't make incredible things in long term but tokens can do. I hold, DNT, PAY, SNM, TAAS and MCO. These tokens are pottentially ready to make their pumps in long term.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: October 10, 2017, 05:51:10 PM
I still prefer bitcoin rather than gold, because bitcoin volatility is higher. I can use every price gap that happens to be profit. Whereas in gold, everything goes slow either profit or loss.
I am also in favor of preferring bitcoins over all other assets whether they are physical ones in the form of gold or diamond, or digital ones like altcoins. Bitcoin market is undoubtedly growing faster than that of gold. As a matter of fact, bitcoin has already badly beaten gold in being the best investments for making your money grow without any hard efforts.
You are right a lot of the people are preferring the bitcoin and they are trying to hold the bitcoin for the long time and they are making the high profits, the most positive thing about the bitcoin is that it is easy to hold and to keep for the long time but keeping the gold for the long time can cause the danger for your life.

Gold is there for thousands years. Why shall I pick gold to multiply my money? This doesn't make sense. Bitcoin is here for us to make money from it by using it smartly.

We need to understand this first.
