61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are most bounties managed by New accounts? on: February 06, 2019, 11:13:56 PM
I don't think this is the case, and I would only choose bounty campaigns that are managed by reputable and proven members, if other members are cautions then they should do the same.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I wanted to know if there is a hodler right here? on: February 06, 2019, 11:09:51 PM
I like to hold my coins and work for a long-term buy and hold strategy, some I have been forced into holding during the 2018 Bear but I have also take the opportunity to average down wherever possible leaving me with no coins that would need to return to the ATH just to break even.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short-term or long-term investment? on: February 05, 2019, 11:55:31 PM
I am 100% in the long-term investment camp I do not have the time to invest in watching a trading screen for 10 hours a day and essentially playing Hi/Lo with my funds. If you have the patience then the long game is far less stressful and also less prone to errors and losses. You need to be disciplined however and stick to targets when it comes time to sell, or watch for problems to guard from losses.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: burning token on: February 05, 2019, 11:51:52 PM
There is no such requirement and it is not necessarily the best option to help build value in a new coin. One of last year's ICO projects that I took part with decided to use their unsold coins to help integrate new projects on to their platform, so keeping the max coins supply constant and adding value through extra future usage and growth.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Now The Time To Buy Quality Projects? on: February 05, 2019, 11:48:08 PM
Considering I have never even heard of Nautilus, I would be skeptical of labeling it "A Quality Project". I do concur that purchasing some of the major coins at their current values makes logical sense in anticipation of the next bull phase. Exchange project coins have good potential but I would prefer something like BNB which is already proven.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid Dump after listing on: February 05, 2019, 01:14:41 AM
My 2c worth is that many projects will dump after listing due to the limited awareness of potential new investors. Often the only people that know about the project are those that have followed or taken part in the ICO. Therefore at launch they will be the only people trying to buy or sell the coin. To avoid a dump in price you need new investors waiting to join, its simple supply and demand in action.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you thing Cryptocurrency can last forever? on: February 05, 2019, 01:11:29 AM
Nothing lasts forever, if you look back at FIAT currencies every single one of them has failed after a certain amount of time. Ctypto has an opportunity to become the new standard in value exchange, but it is also just as likely that it will be surpassed in time by another standard.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China lifts ban on cryptocurrency on: February 05, 2019, 01:09:15 AM
I am expecting that we will see an increase in Chinese investment after their New Year celebrations are over whether that is sanctioned or under the radar. The Chinese traditionally wipe the slate clean over the new year and start a fresh cycle after it ends.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not a get rich quick scheme on: February 03, 2019, 07:25:44 AM
On the whole I would tend to agree with you, but there have also been some periods where it was exactly that, quite a few people will tell you on occasions they have made 500 - 1,200% profits in a few weeks but these chances need to be grabbed with both hands when they come along. I am quite happy accumulating for the long term at the moment and of course am using cash I have no immediate requirement for.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 best year for ICO on: February 03, 2019, 07:20:25 AM
Perhaps 2019 will prove to be the best year for ICO projects, although 2017 will take some beating as back then projects were looking for large sums of money as their Hard Cap in the 10s or even 100s of millions whereas during 2018 many projects were having to settle with raises of under $10m. Conditions are really going to depend on the overall market and whether we will see a recovery in Bitcoin and the wider market during this year.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge tokens during Bounties on: February 03, 2019, 07:17:39 AM
I have seen that the best bounties on offer are for those that produce content be that either Youtube or Writing articles and with the largest slices for those that can get published in a recognised crypto website or have thousands of views of their video. You need to be high up the chain to be receiving huge bounties. What happens after they are received is up to the individual maybe they will keep them for investment or perhaps sell.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news from Japan on: January 26, 2019, 06:03:47 AM
Japan has always been at the cutting edge of innovation with technology so the possibilities that they will be among the first to crack mainstream adoption does not come as a big surprise. I have a strong feeling that the market will turn positive early on this year.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You see it or you don't on: January 26, 2019, 06:01:40 AM
I don't see any other coin coming along to threated Bitcoin's dominance of the market in the near term and with a current share of 52% of the total market it is in a solid position for now. Things may look different in a couple of years but for now the status quo is maintained.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2000 Ripple or 5000 Cardano? on: January 26, 2019, 05:58:50 AM
As a holder of both coins, I expect both of them to appreciate in value come the next bull phase of the market, both have a potential to increase by 2 - 3 times or greater given the right market conditions so it shouldn't matter which one you decide to gift they should both do nicely.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to invest in Ethereum or wait for Ethereum 2.0? I want to invest 5k on: January 24, 2019, 06:45:24 AM
For what its worth I think Ethereum is currently at the lower end of its range and is unlikely to fall much further unless it is forced lower by a collapse in the price of Bitcoin below $3,000. Don't forget that Bitcoin is still the main driver of the crypto market.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High or Low Supply: Which do you prefer? on: January 24, 2019, 06:42:58 AM
I think it needs to be a combination of price and supply to work out the proper coin metrics, I don't mind coins that have a supply in the billions but it is important to pick a coin with a finite supply and one that does not suffer too much dilution each year.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee - has offcially lost his mind! Exiled, plans to run for the campaign on: January 23, 2019, 10:51:32 AM
I thought John McAfee has lost the plot some time ago when he publicly announced he was willing to eat his own appendage if Bitcoin didn't increase in value to $1m by the end of 2020. By the way 23 months and counting John / no Johnson
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP competing places with ETH? on: January 23, 2019, 10:48:12 AM
I would be hesitant at the moment of investing too heavily in the market as there is no clear direction and every climb is followed by a fall. It makes sense to keep on investing smaller amounts and take advantage of low average costs at the moment spreading out your purchases over several weeks and months. The fight for second spot in the market cap is indeed pretty close between ETH and XRP but if there is a recovery I suspect that ETH will leave XRP well behind in 3rd place.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zilliqa Will Be in top 5 as per my research on: January 22, 2019, 10:32:29 AM
I have been following Zilliqa for some time, I missed out on the ICO by being too late but managed to get into the project during the depressed market of Quarter 4 2018. The concepts and the technology look very promising in delivering a better performing system with lower costs involved so it is up to the team to deliver on their promises now and stick with the Roadmap.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find out a legit ICO? on: January 22, 2019, 10:29:54 AM
The only way you can mitigate the risks when taking part in an ICO is to thoroughly check the backgrounds of the people heading up the project and to make sure that their website, whitepaper, social media profiles and experience all match up to what you would expect. Pick projects where the people already have relevant experience in that field, and that the project seems feasible on paper to begin with.
