Well I agree to your points, especially on the part about the Segwit 2x possible hardfork, the undying FUDs, and Bitcoin uncertainty. I also think that Bitcoin will crash as we approach the month of november since there might be a hardfork due to Segwit2x. And we cannot avoid many FUDs on that time. So nice gathering these points to make your conclusion.

There's no question that it's been a good investment, particularly if you bought at the right time.
Yes indeed it is a good investment. The only thing I regret is how the hell bitcoin went under my nose without me finding about it sooner. I can't believe that I only found out about it earlier this year. I don't know, maybe I was sleeping for the whole 7years. But nonetheless, I'm still thankful I got to know btc even though I am years behind. All things happened at the right time and maybe this is my year. I feel the same thing. I heard about Bitcoin the first time last year and I did not even give much attention about it. And now, I end up earning some. It was a miss of opportunity back then. If only I paid attention to Bitcoin then, I might have more than I have now. Regardless, I'm also thankful that I did not neglect Bitcoin for too long. And now, since this year is also my start, I am doing everything I can so that I can cover the past year I neglected Bitcoin.

Do we still need to pay income tax if we earn through trading/investing in Bitcoin or Altcoins?? Of course that is a yes. Since you gained from trading or investing in any cryptocurrency, paying income tax is your obligation. However, this depends on what specific country you resides. Some country imposes tax on their income in bitcoin while some do not. Well for me, it is better that there were no tax at all. It is not that I do not want to contribute to the economy, it's just that tax are sometimes unfair for the taxpayers. They impose big percentage.

Some people says that the wrost thing to do is leave your bitcoins in some exchange. I have 200 usd of btcs in Payeer, it is a online wallet but it also has a exchange.
Do you recommend to me to move this bitcoin to a wallet like Electrum?
Yes, leaving your coins in an exchange in the worst thing to do. This is because they are not secured enough. The owner of the exchange can easily ran with your coins. Or some hackers hack into the site's server and take all the funds. The best way to keep your funds is to have them in a wallet where you control your private key. If you can store them in a hardware wallet, that is much better.

We see sometimes bitcoin price increase or decrease. How I can predict whether bitcoin price increase or decrease.Again, who controll this price.I appreciate if you kindly share your experience.
This is difficult. Nobody can truly say what will be the price in the future with certainty. However, I ran across in facebook that they offer seminar for people who want to learn trading. I forgot about who offers that service so I cannot redirect you to them. Since they offer seminar for trading, they might teach people how to read graphs and charts in order to predict efficiently. If you are asking who controls the price, no one is the answer for that. The price depends on the supply and demand so not a single entity can control the price.

China has become the powerhouse for Bitcoin (and the whole cryptocurrency in general) as it is hosting many Bitcoin miners due to cheaper electricity and maybe also cheap labors. China also boasts of probably millions of Bitcoin owners and traders who are influencing the moves of the market on day to-day basis. As far as acceptance of Bitcoin in China, it is comfortably good until such time when the government decided that it is time to intervene.
In general, the Chinese government is not comfortable with Bitcoin as it indeed representing a different currency that they can not control with. since Bitcoin is decentralized it would be hard for the government to make interventions and so they are thinking that maybe it is time to ban it altogether. The government can not kill Bitcoin but what they are doing is actually closing the country as a market for Bitcoin.
So the question is: Can Bitcoin survive without China? In case, it can't then then there is something wrong with it since it is not resilient to ride the big storm it is in.
Bitcoin can definitely survive without China. Though they have made a great impact when they joined the cryptocurrency world the world does not revolve around China. There are other countries who can replace China's spot. Take for example Russia, I think we can get back on track with their help.

OMG, Bitcoin falling again, current price = 3866USD. What happen? we losing money every hours. Need exchange BTC to fiat? Who can explain this situation?
Seeing that your a sr. Member rank, I don't understand why are you asking what happened and if there's a need to convert btc to fiat. But anyway, yes it is currently depreciating day by day and one reason is China pulled out from btc and banned not only ICOs but exchanges as well. And it sure did made an impact with btc these days. If you feel the need to exchange your btc to fiat, you may do so because that's yours to decide but I think it's not a wise decision.

I think it would be great if you could pay your Taxi-drive with Bitcoin! U agree with me?
Forgive me but I think I don't agree with you here. Btc is so precious that I might not want to use as a fare in a taxi ride. Besides, if you'll consider the fee you might be paying twice your original fare because of the fees.

This question is probably asked many times, but I would like to start a discussion and hear other people's opinion on this. Of course it is a bit paranoia, but there is so much money to make for China that they would almost be stupid if they didn't manipulate the price. This website is great to see the history of Bitcoin's price and the main events that influenced it: https://99bitcoins.com/price-chart-history/Today seems to be exactly like in 2013. First China comes with some promising news that they see a bright future in Bitcoin and the price of Bitcoin goes even higher than it already was (giving a lost full blow into the bubble, prorbably so they can sell their holdings or something) and just a week or a couple of days later they come with restrictions and the bubble bursts. Is it me being paranoia or is the same exact thing happening again? And will it happen again in the next (even bigger) bubble? Please share your (well-founded) thoughts here Makes me think of it too and it is really possible that they are manipulating it. From banning ICOs to fully banning exchanges and Btc entirely. Seems to me that they are showing the world (again) how influential they are.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Good job, bro! Spread the words and love.

Good thing that my friend who introduced me to bitcoin knows a lot about btc. So when I started here the first thing that he introduced to me is this forum. And from here I learned many things that I don't understand like the terminologies and technicalities of cryptocurrencies. And my friend is always available whenever I have questions and clarifications. He also guided me on how to navigate the forum and even created video lessons for me.

Why it is that Bitcoin is not accepted in our country (Nigeria)?
Usually, the reason why some countries don't accep bitcoin is the issue of illegal transactions. And of course they prefer the banks because they can regulate it and the issue with the taxes I guess.

How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
I think bitcoin will only die if there will be no internet in the whole world. That will be one reason, the other reason I think is that btc will die if there will be no people to invest in it. Which explain that it will never die.

I've been talking about Bitcoin to family, friends and random people for years and nobody seemed to mind when BTC was under $1000. But now that Bitcoin has reached $2000, people are starting to realize that owning 1 BTC is beginning to be out of reach for the average person.
I've had more people ask me about Bitcoin lately and wanted help buying Bitcoins. What about you?
Honestly, there are just a few people asking me about bitcoin as of now. There's only 4 persons and they are my workmates before. Since I still consider myself as new to bitcoin what I'm doing is researching more about btc and then share to them all the knowledge I've acquired. And in return, what they have researched they also share with me.
