61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Psychology and tips on: September 18, 2023, 01:16:52 PM
I
Not only that but the higher the leverage, the lower the percentage of traders who consistently make money. In other words, by using leverage you get closer to a 100% probability of failure and the more leverage you use, the closer to 100%. Let's see without leverage, only
As I say, add leverage and you'll be close to a 100% failure rate.
That is what most traders who lost money don't understand,  This was practically what I was doing using a high leverage to trade when I started up as a newbie trader,  Actually non of those trades was in the money, sometimes I fuckinly increase the leverage to 50×,  and that was the worst time in my trading journey and the market fucked with me, got screwed back to back until I learn.

To be more profitable, Simply apply lower leverage be patient, and ride your account up slowly if have a working strategy.
I'll be a devil's advocate and say that leverage doesn't change anything as long as liquidation price is below your stop loss. And x50 is obviously too mush as your max stop loss will be only -2%. You should just have your strategy and keep in mind entry and exit points.

For instance, if your total deposit is $10k and you can afford losing 3% of it (no matter on a stop loss or liquidation) then you can either buy $3k worth of the coin and set a SL for -10% or just use $300 of your own and take x10 leverage.
62  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you confirm my "DUMP" analysis? on: September 18, 2023, 10:05:24 AM

Step 4.
Setting up rules.

If current bars volume is 5 times higher than last 10 bars avg volume AND -%0.5 candle change on 5 mins chart. Thus, it's considered as dump and sell.
In order to calculate and follow this rule 7/24, i'm using an algo trade platform called Traderlands. (It's free)

Generally, you did a good job. Rapidly increasing volumes are indicating that whales are joining the game and some serious price change is about to come. The numbers for the rules would be different for different coins. Coins with lower MC would have a higher volume proportions.
I would say that during the flat market volume analysis should work pretty well.

63  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Funding rate for make profit on: September 18, 2023, 07:25:42 AM
Funding rate is one of the coolest thing when it comes to searching for upcoming pumps. But you need to use it in combination with another forms of analysis.
Basically, highly negative funding is indicating the high sell pressure at the moment and since the price is not going down then some market maker is keeping the price in a certain range. It happens once the price of some coin is going up, some traders are catching a falling knife and go short. Then, their stop losses liquidations are becoming fuel for upside to continue which is used by the market maker. It often works like this with the middle tier altcoins and you need to control your RR ratio in such trades.

Another tip is that you may check if the team of some particular coin got a partnership with some marker maker and you may check the MM's portfolio. There you may easily find their typical pump patterns and try to find a coin for upcoming pump. This worked pretty good on DWF Labs.
64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What exchanges allow you to trade derivatives even though it ban in your country on: September 18, 2023, 05:26:12 AM
You can try to find a licensed forex broker that have crypto pairs. But if most of popular exchanges are unavailable then my advice is to use decentralized derivatives. For instance, GMX.io or ApoloX are decent exchanges with a good history and the worst thing that may happen is that you need a VPN to access the site if it gets banned.

67  Economy / Services / Re: Utopia P2P Ecosystem 💎 | Review Campaign 🔎| Get paid in BTC | Full members+ on: August 29, 2023, 09:54:28 AM
Hey guys! Thanks for accepting me to this campaign. Let me share my experience of using Utopia.

The installation was easy and the interface is intuitive. Basically, it is the wallet with a mesenger. The app have a fairly good translation into various amount of languages. My advice is to make an automatic translation feature for the chat as sometimes people are writing in different languages.

Unexpectedly, the app contains games. They include chess and poker, which I couldn't play alone, but generally, this is a bit strange as Utopia is supposed to be designed for privacy protection. And even if everything is safe  now it still feels like if we had Whonix with pre-installed Black Jack.

You can also exchange your CRP for UUSD inside the app. But for the time being, the stablecoin (Utopia USD) is listed only on LBank and CoinTiger exchanges. More listings is obviously needed if the dev team is going to build an ecosystem. More swap pairs are needed in the app as well. Crypto cards is a good feature but it is made only for use within Utopia ecosystem so people shouldnt mess them with crypto cards issued by exchanges like Bybit. It is also possible to mine CRP. You can either run your own node (which requires you to run your computer on Linux) or just delegate the coins to someone else's node.

Utopia have an automatic airdrop for 11,111 random users per day that keep their app opened and I was lucky enough to receive 0,01 CRP a few times. It is obviously good to have a chance to get some coins just for free, but the weired thing is that rewards are distributed as usual transactions and the blockchain explorer sometimes shows the amount of daily transactions below the number of daily airdrop recipients.

It is not possible to check the security as the app itself is a closed source. The reasons for that are explained on the website and sound quite reasonable but it is not enough to consire the app as reliable and safe. The dev team needs to have an audit done by a reputable 3rd party since they are unable to disclose the code.

Basically, the app itself is good and all features are working as they should. It is user friendly and anyone can easily start using it after he / she opens it for the first time. But the team still have a long way to go as they need a confirmation of the app's reliability and to attract more people to the community in order to build the entire ecosystem.

69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is quidi.finance legit? on: July 09, 2023, 04:07:00 PM
Well, I was curious enough to try this protocol and I have successfully managed to withdraw my tokens (staked funds have 10d cooldown). However, it still seems that the project is fraudulent and they are trying to get some fat before the exit scam.

Their site mentions that the protocol has been verified by multiple auditing firms, but nothing links to the audit. There's also no mention of any auditing in their Twitter page.

So as mentioned above, it's probably not worth the risk and you shouldn't be fooled by the founders sharing a picture of their faces either.

I have decided to make a small research on this direction and asked the audit firms for confirmation. The only reply came from Peckshield briefly saying "The claim is false and we have not audited the so-called protocol yet.".

Obviously, the upcoming scam is the only reason to deliberately lie about the audit. I hope someone googles the project and finds this thread before investing in it.

I need a laptop, no particular product to specification in mind yet, if you see this, then please reach out to me in dm, but please note, I am not sending a dime to you until I receive the product, we can employ the services of an escrow from this forum, I will take care of the fees, I will send your money(in bitcoin) to him, he will hold, then release to you as soon as i receive the product..

As per your plan, someone will have to freeze a portion of his own money till he gets the escrowed payment. I doubt that someone will manage to build a stable business like that.
Better just make an order on Alibaba.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Is quidi.finance legit? on: June 26, 2023, 05:10:38 PM
Hey there!

The main question is in the thread subject. I have found a new DeFi app quidi.finance that claims to bring up to 321% API by staking your funds in their concentrated liquidity protocol.
The website looks ok, you can even deposit funds and claim staking rewards. However, the overall lack of info regarding the project creates some doubts.

Anyone got any thoughts on this matter?

Just kind reminder that people need to consider OP's trust history before dealing with him.
74  Economy / Service Discussion / Crypto arbitrage resources needed on: June 03, 2022, 09:08:50 AM
Anyone knows any reputable international crypto arbitrage resources? Any links to trusted services, websites, forums etc. are highly appreciated.

Whenever you try to search for this information by yourself you are getting lots of phishing links. So it would be very nice to get some info from people that already worked in this field and can share the way to introduce a newbie into arbitraging.

76  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mistake I made till now investing on crypto projects. on: April 27, 2022, 07:09:02 AM
Lessons are good but they are not always applying to crypto since it altcoin investment is a hype demanding thing. Therefore, many promising coins would be released (and probably pumped) without a completed product. In the short run it is doesn't even matter if a token have any utility (shiba is a great example here). Unfortunately, the community is one of the most valuable points. With a big community the coin may be successfully shilled without any product or utility.
77  Economy / Economics / Re: Read If you are between 18 and 68 years old! on: April 03, 2022, 04:12:14 PM
There is a million reasons for that.
Modern world fully changes once in about 25 years. Someone just don't know what's gonna happen in future. Therefore, they may think that long term investment may devaluate for some reason.
Also, prices are always going up and if you live in a big city then it would be hard for you to make savings at all. When over 60% of your earning would be paid for a rent it is hard to make any significant savings and at the meanwhile real estate prices continuously going up.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's role in realizing 2030 SDGs on: April 03, 2022, 09:07:34 AM
First of all, these points are written a bit vaguely. In every part of the would people would probably have a different understanding of them. Just compare how Gender equality is understood in US and in muslim countries, asia, africa etc. Feels like the list itself was made for sake of making it.

Similar thing with another points. Nowadays people in 3rd world countries live in poverty and hunger not because some evil western businessmen (or a government) took all their money. Everything is so bad generally because of the local situation in these places. Bitcoin or any other kind of wealth would be useless before social institutions would be changed in poor regions.

Bitcoin has nothing to deal with SDGs.
79  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: i have 400$, i cannot buy a good miner, is cloud mining a good idea in this case on: April 03, 2022, 08:42:32 AM
Can't you just buy a Goldshell LB-BOX ASIC miner? They only use 150w and they're very quiet. I bought mine for $350 or so 2 weeks ago.

So how is it going? How much time would it take to pay off 350$?

I've checked this cheap miner via mining calculator and with 0.06$ per wt it shows that you would lose 2 cents daily only for running it. Pretty sure it is hard to find cheaper electricity so unless you are stealing it (or running a solar panel). SO right now it seems like a waste of 350$ and further losses. it is better just to buy BTC.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: US yield curve re-inverts on: April 03, 2022, 07:41:47 AM
American treasury bonds were always considered as a super reliable no risk investment (this is why the rate is so low) till the previous year. But with around 2% yield this year you still can't save your money from the inflation. If inflation remains high then it would be harder to cover it with low risk investments ("safe" stocks would give you up to 15% APY). So unless stock market collapses we can hope that crypto would go up.
We might get a situation when investors would have a choise between crypto and garbage like penny stocks in order to save the money from the inflation.
