61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will switch to PoS in Q3 2022 on: April 14, 2022, 08:01:02 AM
as long as ethereum has not provided an exact date, I doubt the launch of POS this year. this has happened time and time again, there is always a snag at the end and the result is another delay. I'm not expecting much this time, the beiko team only said that POS was this year, but he didn't say exactly when it would launch. so that means the POS is still not 100% completely ready at this point.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest browser for Metamask ? on: April 13, 2022, 02:10:20 PM
Firefox ? Chrome ? Brave ?

Kinda worried because all of them try to collect information about your activities online. I've purchased BitDefender AntiVirus, and taken some other precautions but... can never be too careful as they say.
Chrome is more secure than any other browser but recently it data was also leaked and 32 billion users were warned to update the Chrome immediately. Hacker stolen all email and other data. I am using Chrome and Edge for Metamask and other functions . You should also disconnect your Metamask wallet from all connected sites after you do transaction.

yes this is the best way to avoid hacking. so it doesn't matter to use chrome, egde, firefox or other browsers, as long as we disconnect the metamask access after we finish using it. and This is a safe way. but if you're still afraid, it's better not to use attention metamask, I suggest using the metask mobile application.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk - Hinted that it would be nice if Twitter Ads be paid in Bitcoin on: April 13, 2022, 04:38:34 AM
How much will the Bitcoin price spike.... if a decision like this was approved..... and will this boost the global economy?

To answer this question, we can think back to what happened when pornhub implemented bitcoin support.

Quote
Pornhub, the popular adult entertainment site, has (at last) added bitcoin as a payment option.

Sep 2, 2020

https://www.coindesk.com/business/2020/09/02/pornhub-adds-bitcoin-and-litecoin-payments-for-premium-content/

Sometime around september 2020, pornhub added BTC support.

We can see bitcoin's chart from september 2020 to january 2021 below.

Chart shows a rise from 10k to 30k over that period. I think its hard to argue with those results.

good data. and if twitter accepts bitcoin, maybe it will repeat itself like when pornhub accepted bitcoin. it means there will be a big increase and create a new impetus for the bulls. it is possible that bitcoin broke ATH and flew high after the news was released. after all from the very beginning twitter was a crypto friendly platform. So I hope the board of directors takes Elon Musk's suggestion into consideration.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: April 12, 2022, 05:31:35 AM
Many financial advisors suggest gold , silver and cryptocurrencies as the best investment for this decade! what do you think?

Gold is an investment with low risk but has a low ROI. but it's good for dealing with inflation and it's proven. crypto is different, this investment has a big risk, but with a very high ROI. we can see bitcoin, shiba inu, solana, ethereum, BNB go up very high in just a few months. but this is worth the risk, as now bitcoin falls you will experience a large enough loss. but both are indeed worthy of being used as long-term investments, depending on how you choose the risk.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: April 11, 2022, 11:10:21 AM
the hype is over. nft is no longer profitable. Many are selling at a loss rather than making a profit. only the NFT creators make a profit, the first, second and so on are selling below the price when they bought them. that is why NFT trading volume is slowly decreasing. another reason is because there are already many nft markets now, different from the years before when opensea monopolized the nft marketplace. and people are also getting tired of collecting nft, they know that the future of nft is not very good and not for long term investment.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrencies eliminate the need for credit/debit cards in the future? on: April 11, 2022, 06:49:54 AM
What do you think? Will cryptocurrencies eliminate the need for credit/debit cards in the future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley
no, the need for a credit/debit card will always be there. in the future crypto will only be made as an alternative choice. even though crypto such as bitcoin, ethereum, and others will be legalized later, but remember the taxes that will be imposed will definitely be higher. Unlike credit/debit cards, all crypto transactions may be taxed. this is the government's way of limiting the influence of crypto, when crypto fees are bigger than a centralized system, people will think again about using crypto.

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you preparing for bear market on: April 06, 2022, 07:26:19 AM
Crypto can't survive without a bear market, if not everything will remain at one spot and no reason to invest anymore what is the best strategy to prepare for a bear market and at the same time keep making a profit from the present market condition.

If you believe the market is about to enter a bear market, maybe holding a stablecoin is a good option. or you can try futures trading, with this you can get profit even though the market is falling. but I don't recommend this method if you can't make a good analysis. I'd rather just hold on to stablecoins while waiting for a bear market to come.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will "hyperbitcoinization" become a reality? on: April 05, 2022, 08:08:42 AM
What are your thoughts? Do you think we're close to "hyperbitcoinization"?

still a long way from achieving that. indeed mainstream adoption is happening right now. many countries are starting to see bitcoin as something profitable. but all this is just a discussion, few actually try to adopt it. and on average those countries are developing countries. while developed countries still refuse, arguing that they think bitcoin is one of the annoying things. they are trying to limit bitcoin to keep their currency influential.

What will be of the world without centralized Fiat currencies?

perhaps a decentralized economy will materialize. there will be no more centralized country as it is today where the influence of the US on the global economy is so great.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: WTF? Food prices expected to raise up to 50% in German supermarket. on: April 04, 2022, 10:16:40 AM
this has been predicted by experts. but 50% is a very big thing. Inflation and the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war are the main reasons why commodity prices are rising high. And Russia plans to use crypto/ruble for its energy export payments. this becomes another problem, and is expected to make the price of necessities more expensive. This problem also occurs in European countries, especially those that import energy from Russia.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesia To Impose 0.1% Crypto Tax Starting In May on: April 03, 2022, 10:44:43 AM
Indonesia plans to charge value-added tax (VAT) on crypto asset transactions and an income tax on capital gains from such investments at 0.1% each.

low taxes of just under 1% no one seems to have a problem with this. compared to countries in europe or even India which impose high taxes on crypto assets. I think the crypto community in Indonesia is lucky, they are not burdened with heavy regulations. if with this regulation crypto can be more accepted in Indonesia, I agree with this regulation.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to have 5, 12 or even more coins? on: April 03, 2022, 05:02:18 AM
I will choose the first. because too many coins in the portfolio is also not good. but with another coin list. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bnb, Avalanche and Terra. with 12000 funds i will buy those coins. The reason is very simple, because the coins I mentioned earlier are the ones with the best potential. bitcoin is the center of crypto. ethereum with the 2.0 update, bnb with all the innovations they continue to come up with, a new network avalanche that still has the potential to Moon and terra, I predict that this coin will be like last year's solana.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia wants to build a new world order with China on: April 02, 2022, 10:47:22 AM
The US does not like this discourse. and they will do everything in their power to prevent it with the help of their allies. if the west had no influence, it would be to their detriment plus they were experiencing fairly high inflation. there might be a crisis if that happened. For now Russia's move can be prevented, but if the war ends. it may be difficult to maintain the influence of the USD. just now Russia has started to take steps such as only accepting GAS payments using rubles. and on the other hand slowly but surely China began to spread its influence.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH going PoS is a huge mistake on: April 02, 2022, 04:37:04 AM
I don't know if I'm the only person feeling this way right now, Ethereum going PoS is a high mistake, its no deny that PoS always leads to centralization and the whole idea and points of crypto is decentralization, or am I wrong? What do you crypto guru think?
is centralization really bad for you? although it is a solution for scalability?
right now that's all ethereum can think of to solve the problem. and why only ethereum are you looking down on, when there are a lot of blockchains out there that use POS. anyway the ethereum community doesn't completely reject this system, most support this system being implemented as soon as possible.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help a newbie choose a better stable coin on: March 31, 2022, 11:31:42 AM
I'm looking forward to store some stable coin for future investment, maybe probably when a harder bearish market takes place to buy coins for lesser price but I can't seem to figure with stable coin can make me have a good night sleep at night with zero worries, USDT? BUSD?

First, where will you hold the stablecoin? if you want to hold it on an exchange account, you don't need to be confused about which stablecoin to choose. all can be a good choice usdt, busd, ust or even dai.

Second, if you want to hold it in a private wallet, look for cheap stablecoins on the network. such as USDT on the trc20/bep20 network, or busd on the bep20 network. This is very important because when you want to use it, you don't have to pay a large fee. so choose whichever stablecoin is on the cheapest network.

Third, if you want a truly decentralized stablecoin there only one option is  DAI.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other valid and serious forums about Altcoins? on: March 14, 2022, 10:50:14 AM
what about reddit?
I see there is very active in providing information about pre sales or new projects. because the subreddit on altcoins/crypto is quite active. or altcointalk but I think compared to bitcointalk, the forum is less popular. the interaction there is very different when compared to this forum it can be said there is still quiet.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any legal advice for a decentralized project? Social on: March 14, 2022, 07:23:34 AM
I have a decentralized social network problem. If the legal framework forces you to follow certain political issues. The project you need to be transparent about the team. So which country's legislation is best for this, or do all decentralized projects need to be anonymous?

how about cayman island. this tax-free country is quite crypto friendly. the binance office is also in the country. or estonia, this country is also quite good. many new projects are registered in this country. they are also easier to give permission. I heard that there are more than hundreds of crypto projects registered in this country.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does SafeMoon have a future?? on: March 12, 2022, 04:25:09 AM
SFM has dropped by 6% at $0.0011 in price as at yesterday, 10th March and has lost 40% of its value since it's creation in March 2021. Does this bode well for SafeMoon investors or it still has a fighting chance? 🤷🤷

no, that's a bad sign. it could be that SFM has no future. it is very difficult to get back on track when a coin has lost a lot. and I've had a lot of bad experiences with coins like this. when the coin has made ath, he never comes back. and stay down for a long time. I thought safemoon would be like that. so if you have SFM then be careful.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elizabeth Warren hatred for crypto is like no other on: March 11, 2022, 11:14:45 AM
Don't tell me you have nothing to say about Elizabeth Warren, she is yet again throwing stones at crypto claiming that Russia can use crypto to evade sanctions, FUD? But it's said that Ukraine got up to 20million in crypto donations, why can't see just support this instead of FUD?

Doesn't matte if she will create a FUD because of the ongoing war. She is one just small point in the equation. I think the EO of Biden was what's important and we have heard it already, US has shown that they don't have a hard line stance onf crypto. So currently, the price for me is strong, although below $40k, but it didn't drop to the lower $30k, a indication that no matter what the negative sentiments on crypto specially equating it in war in EU, the price is not affected significantly.

yes you are right, any negative sentiment regarding russia-ukraine will not have much impact on crypto. everyone is more mature to judge. as long as there is no other bad news, the crypto market will remain strong. so FUD like anything, will not destroy the market.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How fast can the CEX affect the bitcoin price negatively? on: March 11, 2022, 04:27:04 AM
<----->
So do you think that bad news about bitcoin affects the price of bitcoin? Using the example above if such a news arises about sanctioning the top 5 CEX will the price of bitcoin drop drastically?
yes it will market will lose volume drastically. in a broader sense, it will destroy the market and short term effects there will be a dump. basically even the slightest negative news can have an effect, so it's highly unlikely if any news of sanctions for major exchanges, will not have any impact on the market.
