61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia is turning the nuclear power plant into mining field. on: October 19, 2017, 01:35:56 AM
Then that’s good, it’s better this way. Who will suffer from this is the monopolies and this competition expand the bitcoin/cryptocurrency existence and popularity. I know most of the replies are against it, not because of mining itself but because they’re hatred towards Russia personally. So don’t make things complicated, it is bitcoin community that matters.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins electricity required AMAZING!!! on: October 19, 2017, 12:39:42 AM
Bitcoin transaction and searching in internet has servers that needs huge power supply to operate and that includes banking transaction as well. So what ever your point is not shocking for others. Because we already knows that.

Come back after you have figured out how much electricity all the banks in the world use, and how much we would save by replacing them with Bitcoin.

That is totally right, it won’t be good when looking for just one side of the story. Maybe to ask about banking transaction is the correct way on answering such questioning.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is Smart Contract legally accepted? on: October 18, 2017, 08:28:54 AM
I've set up a meeting with a representative of a large International Law firm.
a. will try to find more about the current status of the smart contract.
b. wonder if Law firm can back up such a contracts.

That’s is the right thing to do and necessary. Who can answer those question other than a legal expert itself. Looking forward to any updates from you. And hope that would be a good news but whatever the outcome is smart contract will be available wether it’s legal or not.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold for people with less than 1 BTC in wallet on: October 18, 2017, 07:47:14 AM
It should be something like what you said. The owner will distribute it.
Unfortunately, I don't have one. If you have hope, you can hold it. You can double the coin.

the owner doesn't distribute it, this is not a crappy ETH ICO to distribute. it is a crappy fork from bitcoin. you have to claim it yourself with the private keys of your bitcoin wallet that contain "ANY" amount of bitcoin in them.

although, considering the price and network fees, small amounts wouldn't make any sense to bother claiming them.

ps. do NOT click on any link that is not BTCGPU.org, i have seen a lot of weird websites calling themselves "official" bitcoin gold website but they have been all scams.

Thanks for this reminder, maybe anyone with bad intentions making such claim and fooling others for depositing they’re bitcoin on they’re scam sites and it’s really annoying sometimes. Hope no one will take the bait and do unnecessary things other than to the legitimate bitcoin gold site.

I don’t have much of bitcoin so, thinking about bitcoinGold much is not my interest but to spread scammy attempts must be our responsibility.

Why most of the people in the forum sees bitcoin as currency that you need to spend everyday?

This is not true at all. Most people I encounter here are actually advocates of HODLing. Although I guess spenders aren't too uncommon either. Pretty much everyone here knows the potential gain of holding.

I have to agree at this one. Even Op has the right evaluation or observation on some point that generalisation of how the members think or act maybe inaccurate.

Mostly and even I, look bitcoin as an asset as Op said. Maybe your talking about some who do Signature/bounty campaigns who are online everyday. We can’t also blame the majority if they go unemployed to focus on bitcoin. Maybe because they’re daily earning is not worth they’re hardship.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has Arrived in Thailand..... on: October 18, 2017, 05:38:12 AM
I was confused for a while why were talking about bitcoin in altcoin section maybe OP just need to moved it out here.

That was really not shocking at all especially Asian country are flexible towards technology aspects and has high respect to people’s suggestions and opinions. Maybe the Thai people make a big step for they’re government to recognized the needs to make this policy. I will congratulate all of them and we welcome this kind of development to our community.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trace Mayer Predicts Bitcoin Will Hit $27,395 USD By February 2018 on: October 18, 2017, 01:58:14 AM
Well as long it is a positive predictions I don’t have a problem with it. It is more for an advertisement purposes for me and why not exaggerating will gain audience and curious readers into investing on bitcoin. And at the end it is our profits that matters and reacting negatively to him for the reason you don’t have same speculation is wrongly place at this time.

Trading beginner tips!

( Brought to you by Licensium & Trusted Nodes team members https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2129844.0)

1. Regularly read Bitcointalk forum
2. Check coinmarketcap.com for current real coin values
3. Check coinmarketcap.com history of coin you are interested in
4. Check the ANN thread of the coin on Bitcointalk
5. Many coins have their own blogs/ forums you need to follow to be up to date
6. At start choose coins that are already established and stable
7. Make yourself a portfolio of 3 - 5 coins for start
8. Do not jump in ongoing coin pumps, you never know when it will dump.
9. Make yourself a strategy for coins you will long term invest and maybe 2 gamble coins that are more risky but offer higher profit.
10. I recommend starting with Bittrex I cannot recommend Bittrex anymore because they need to verify your IDENTITY in order to let you withdraw BTC and alt coins.
11. Do not instantly sell your coins if they dumb instantly for no obvious reason ( research why)
12. At the beginning its better to aim for small profits like 5% - 10% +
13. Always keep some BTC to react when needed (buy)
14. Start slowly, take your time. 2 month in research and observation is recommended.
15. Always reinvest a share of your profit in your favorite coins and use a share of profit to gamble
16. Do not jump instant in new coins with big investment. If it looks promising to you start low and follow the progress.
17. If you advance and make good experience you could start to invest in icos, but watch out lots of scam around.
18. Pull out some % in USD from your profit from time to time.
19. Control your emotions when the prices is going up or down.
* Additional Tips from community members:
20. Never be emotional in your trading. Be objective! (thx to @Investor for the tip)
21. I also advice that when you already developed a good trading strategy, you stick into it and keep your discipline  (thx to bamboylee for this tip)

69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Interesting day... Telling on: October 17, 2017, 06:09:23 AM
If you think the price is going to go that high then there is not much of a point to sell your bitcoin to get some small earnings just keep holding, I know that you can get profits with trading but you can get losses too so there is not much of a point in risking your bitcoin.
It is not an awful move to sell some bitcoin now regardless if it will rise or not, since no such thing is certain to happen with bitcoin within the short period of time until fork on November. Therefore, selling some of your bitcoin now is a wise move specially when you have earned a hefty sum of profit already from holding. I know that some people held their bitcoin from 2015 up to this point and for them it is a great time to sell now. There is a risk in holding btc at the moment specially that fork is near, the chance that it will go down in price is relatively high.

Certainly agreed too. This is my way of thinking, positively but practical at the same time. It would be much a risk to hold for years and wait for the moon to come. That is a disastrous situation that will highly happen sooner or later. Are we going for the biggest fruit when we’re hungry or the one that is hand reachable to you. So being a pratical person is not a weakness but a strong signs of determination to face reality.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survey! Investing in ICO on: October 17, 2017, 03:15:47 AM
Do you invest? my answer: NOT at all

Why? I’m more of a worker than an investor. I joined bounty for a payment from ICO, does this important as investors? Yes, they do work hand in hand. How can an ICO or company be recognized without the information dissemination campaign it’s either social media, video, blog and signature bounty.
71  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: October 17, 2017, 02:10:24 AM
Even we have huge numbers of Bitcoin users in my country without proper legalisation by our government, supermarkets and malls will have no interest on it but for sure they’re thinking about this for sometime. 2018 is a another year to be hopeful for this things.
72  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Accepting bitcoin for service on: October 17, 2017, 01:24:12 AM
First you to prove that you suited and trustworthy for the job which is very  hard especially when you're still a newbie member you just have to find a person/client that might need your services and if you've done your job effectively you'll get paid that might boost your chances to get more clients in the future cause you have already a background in this forum. For now you can post your services in the services section.
Bitcoin is the job is for sure being use by a lot of the people and the money will be definitely use by the people. I am using the bitcoin of the betterment of my future and now I am able to have the huge profit from the bitcoin and I will be able to increase my income with the help of the bitcoin, the bitcoin service is now available by a lot of the people so use the bitcoin so it will get famous and it will increase the value of the bitcoin more and more.

That’s amazing right, we trusted bitcoin on our future only means that the price will alwys be as high as this for we all/mostly have this mentality about cryptocurrency. It help you, me and all of us in the same way as we are helping bitcoin to spread and be more popular.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite coin so far on: October 16, 2017, 03:20:51 PM
As I were talking about cryptocurrency as a whole, I will include bitcoin then i will not mess not to mention my all time favorite altcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum. As I’m holding them both for a much longer time especially litecoin. And I think this coin needs some recognition as it lasted for many years now.
74  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Accepting bitcoin for service on: October 16, 2017, 02:35:23 PM
I'm totally new to bitcoin.
What needs to be done if i want to accept micro bitcoin for services that i offer? What type of set up i need to do?

First you should understand that work will not find you but it is your responsibility to do so.
Second you must learn rules and regulations on any board your in and what work is allowed or not.
Lastly be patient enough and be trusted in this services for a reputation is better than a single bits.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is comparable to gold on: October 16, 2017, 01:19:15 PM
In prices, yes. But in physical or logical use is not. I know that bitcoin is much important to gold, no doubt about that. But if the possibility of war or any disastrous incidents without internet bitcoin will be nothing. Gold will and always be the same. It is a sad truth but it is much of taking reality into a discussion.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could go wrong with Bitcoin? on: October 16, 2017, 12:52:27 PM
This man has made the best out of bitcoin when everyone still have doesn’t know bitcoin at all. But living too dependently on cryptocurrency alone is not healthy at all. The best thing he must done since he got wealthy with it is putting up a business and take bitcoin as of now as an investment or second way of earnings. But if he does with those he earned is traveling and leisure would be just unpractical enough.

To answer does bitcoin be gone? is as impossible as the internet will be cut off.

79  Economy / Economics / Re: What country do you think will recognize Bitcoin as an official currency? on: October 09, 2017, 03:39:27 AM
I think for bitcoin to be a real currency, government have to accept it first.

So I ask what country do you think will recognize it as a currency?

Japan would be my idea of this kind of thing, as they were more open for technology upgrades and innovations. But let see if theirs more country who have the same economic strategy that will recognized bitcoin and be part of it. As of now the only thing we can do is wait for bitcoin awareness be matured.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: October 09, 2017, 01:25:58 AM
What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?

The price will decreased rapidly as a result of that actions because the supply on the market is high. And panic selling is something we can’t stopped or avoidable because it is an individual decision and can only be alter by positive thinking and trust for increasing value of bitcoin in the future.
