61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCONNECT the most massive crypto ponzi scheme ever??? on: October 02, 2017, 11:14:18 AM
Yes.

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably IS to good to be true.

Nobody gives away free money. Do they even try to explain how they're giving these crazy interest rates?
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO=OPEN] CombiCoin: the cryptocurrency that is 100% asset backed by the top 30 on: October 02, 2017, 07:22:16 AM
congratulations. so, where are news? when bounty will be counted and distributed? not good silent, don't you think?

Its sunday there should be some announcement tomorrow
Haha, give them a couple of days to get everything up and running, make sure all the calculations check out etc.
I'm sure everyone wants to get their hands on those sweet coins, but patience is virtue  Wink
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackmoon Crytpo? on: October 02, 2017, 07:15:47 AM
Any news about when the payback function will be launched? Could this be this week?
I believe so.
Wondering how many they'll buy back. Price is currently lower than buyback price (74 ct vs 80 ct): https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/blackmoon-crypto/
It should probably stabilize the price to around 80 ct...
Crazy to think how much money they reserved for the buyback (30%).

Yes, last few hours remain, i would have liked more if this project had reached 3 million in funding that looks a bit tough at the moment, i am saying that because i rate it as a good value project, we have seen ordinary projects in the past raising big amounts, i think now there is huge competition in the market and many many projects are launching everyday that is making funding harder.

12 hours left to get in, plenty of time!
I think it's a fair amount, let's hope they can be cashflow positive soon. Crypto is very new and fintech around crypto is very promising. Let's hope the team has a lot of success and delivers nice dividends in the future to investors (TRIA holders ;-)).

Good luck to everyone!
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [OMG] Palm Beach Research Group believes OMG may rise to over $700 per coin! on: September 29, 2017, 06:45:07 PM
OMG How was it distributed? Only through an ETH airdrop or how did it work exactly?

Distributed via ICO and only a small percentage was alotted for airdrop. Airdrop giving them some OMG based on how much ethereum a user is holding
5% of the OMG tokens were aidropped to ETH holders (with above 0.1 ETH on the address)
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO=OPEN] CombiCoin: the cryptocurrency that is 100% asset backed by the top 30 on: September 29, 2017, 06:41:42 PM
Question for Triaconta: will you stake the POS coins? Wouldn't make that much difference probably, but could be a nice little revenue stream to either the CombiCoin or to TRIA holders... (e.g. NEO GAS gives around 10% ROI).

4. Payouts will not be in TRIA, TRIA is only issued during the ICO. I went through the whitepaper again, but I didn't see in which token the payouts will happen. I assume this will be in CombiCoins. Maybe in ETH or USDT? Maybe somebody from Triaconta can answer this?
On page 27 Appendix F in the white paper it says "The profit share will be distributed in ETH, the gas price to transfer the ETH will be deducted from the payment. We strive to use as low as possible a gas price to maximize the ETH a TRIA token holder recevies."
Thx. Imo this is a missed opportunity. Buy increasing the CombiCoin supply they would be able to generate more revenue for themselves (and to the TRIA holders). Now this "dividend" payment will just support ETH.
Maybe they could make CombiCoin the default dividend payment token, but if a user would prefer ETH, he could specify this through e-mail...
I know, slightly more complex from a technical point, but in the mid to long run it'll be worthwhile imo.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why isn't crypto going mainstream? on: September 29, 2017, 01:55:27 PM
It's still too complicated for most older people.
More and more young people are getting on board.
Once they start having some practical experience they'll come around.

We're still in the early adopter phase. Initially nobody had a cell-phone either and those that did were looked at strangely...

$10000  Roll Eyes

I'll have whatever you're smoking
Lol. Somebody's been snorting that moon powder.

I'll be VERY happy with 10$ by October 2018 and I feel that's a realistic number. Don't forget that the token is backed by the CCP fund underneath. As buybacks increase, the number of tokens will decrease so price will go up as well.
Current low prices means more buybacks and work in favor of token HODLers.

I'm curious how much ICN they'll burn this time (probably 1 Oct, right?): https://etherscan.io/address/0x0006157838d5a6b33ab66588a6a693a57c869999#tokentxns

Hey guys, where did you download it? Cannot find it anywhere...
It's a private newsletter (pretty expensive). Probably you can find it on some torrent. Some of the links above some of the guys are just re-selling it...
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 29, 2017, 09:08:57 AM
Tonych is there a possibility to include an option in the wallet for people to donate say 0.5-1% from their airdrop to the community fund so more Devs can be hired to develop different useful projects for Byteball as psychologically if the option is included in the wallet and selected by default i guess the majority of the airdrop receivers wouldn't mind donating 0.5 to 1% from their airdrop to the community fund to help Byteball grow healthy
Good idea. I think currently 2% of the GBYTE is reserved for devs, which is really low compared to other projects. Maybe this could be increased to 5% (still relatively low but gives some wiggle room).

The idea of the Buybacks is good, but it's not gonna make a big change imo unless you have a big partner (like OmiseGo did with McDonalds).
Personally, I'd focus more on getting a couple of big companies involved.

I also think the Tech aspect is underplayed. Maybe you could team up with some big companies, like Accenture... Like Waves has done with Deloitte.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is long term investment on: September 29, 2017, 08:38:22 AM
Ethereum is very interesting for a couple of different reasons: Vitalik is a genius, many companies are researching the blockchain, many ICOs will happen in the future based on Ethereum...

Biggest downside is that so much ETH is being raised during the ICOs that the price has risen artificially. These companies will want to have fiat money in the near future to cover their costs so they will sell some of their ETH, which will lower the price of ETH...
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO=OPEN] CombiCoin: the cryptocurrency that is 100% asset backed by the top 30 on: September 29, 2017, 08:31:32 AM
Idea: it might be interesting for Triaconta to keep selling extra Combicoins after the ICO is over, directly through their website (without giving TRIA tokens). Maybe make these can be purchased at market price (with a small handling fee for Triaconta). It might be a bit of a hassle to do this manually, but it might generate some extra small profit and get more CombiCoins out there (which is good for everyone). You could set a minimum limit (let's say 1000 euro/USD) for this....

I am a lil bit confused could you please clear up some of my questions please?

1. So investing in the ICO you will receive both coins. Is there going to be 2 separate wallets for TRIA and CombiCoins or will the TRIA wallet be updated or something of that nature to hold your CombiCoin as well?
2. How will your coins be given to you if you invested in the ICO?
3. When will the TRIA wallet be available?

1. Both will be ETH based tokens, so you can just use your regular ETH wallet.
2. You specify your ETH address
3. /

4. February 1st is the first expected payout in TRIA. How come you are not being paid in CombiCoin as well?
5. The expected profit share is 0.05 USD to 0.11 USD per TRIA token. As the value of TRIA or CombiCoin rises what is the likelihood of payouts for each coin being more than 0.11 USD?

5. TRIA rise won't influence the profit directly imo. If the CombiCoin rises, there might be bigger margins, so more profit. If there's more profit then the TRIA price will probably rise as well.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO bull run from last 3 days on: September 28, 2017, 08:05:27 PM
NEO is a good coin, 100$ in near future  Grin Grin

god damnit i hope so. and i hope it does this at bitcoins current price level. no sense in holding onto NEO if it holds it current satoshi level while bitcoin skyrockets. Ive noticed correlated pumps between bitcoin and chinese projects as of late. anyone else noticing this same trend?
BTC correlates with the whole market. Money is mainly flowing between crypto and FIAT. Not that much between coins IMO.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: September 28, 2017, 08:02:23 PM
It's always good to hedge your bets, hold some in ETH, invest in some promising ICOs, keep some in Bitcoin, invest in altcoins.

We're at the start of a big bull run now in my opinion, there's no harm in selling at the top and buying back when the price dips again and taking some profits if you fancy a treat! Wink
I also think it's better to diversify a bit. If you have the time to do thorough research on ICO, you can make some good money there. Otherwise, some of the other top altcoins might also be good (and BTC of course).

Prob like this: 30% ETH - 30% BTC - 40% Other coins
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: September 28, 2017, 05:28:40 PM
FIAT gateway will be huge. Imo probably a bigger step than adding other DAAs (even though technically that will be harder to implement).

A lot of regular people flocking to crypto are not technical at all and simply want to be able to do a deposit to buy BLX and not worry about it afterwards.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherum Hardfork on: September 28, 2017, 05:00:45 PM
what happens as a result of the hard fork? will there be a chain split? Does PoS happen after Oct 17 or is that just the first phase?

The hard fork will not result in a chain split. This is going to be 4th time that ethereum going through hard fork but so far we only have eth and etc. The most likely hard fork that will result in a chain split that i guess will be the changing of POW to POS. A lot of money has been invested in getting gpu to mine eth. So by changing the POW to POS, this will make millions or even billions of dollar spent on equipment to become useless. So there will be a group that will want to split out to carry on the POW to justify their money earning equipment.
I guess those miners could switch to ETC (ethereum classic). I truly hope no more hard fork splits will come for the major coins. Bad for stability imo...
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO - The Ethereum of China (Invest before you regret) on: September 28, 2017, 04:57:59 PM
I randomly bought 11 Neo coins a few days ago when it was $19 a coin because I wanted to collect free gas in that neon wallet. Perfect timing! I will be rich when Neo is $5k like Bitcoin equivelent.

$5K? you're like dreaming in broad day light. it haven't touched $50 yet.
11 NEO isn't going to get you nowhere though. you gotta have more than that for you to live a good life when it hit $5k. if ever that happen, the rest of the holders are also going to be dumping and buying back NEOs. you'd be stuck at a price that you will have to wait for more than 10 years. but more of it.

LMAO. Some people are very optimistic it seems. 2017 has been a very good year, let's hope he's right!
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackmoon Crytpo? on: September 28, 2017, 04:48:25 PM
I'm tempted to buy because of the low price (in theory they should start buying back the tokens), but something just smell fishy about this project... Probably gonna stay clear.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCONNECT the most massive crypto ponzi scheme ever??? on: September 28, 2017, 04:44:45 PM
Def a ponzi scheme. I'm staying very far away from it. It will probably stay strong for a while longer until it completely plummets one day...
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is long term investment on: September 28, 2017, 04:42:22 PM
BTC and ETH will be the ones on top forever. Thats just going to be that way.

That being said its going to be interesting to see what happens when RSK + Lightning network go live on most of the bitcoin chain. Then ETHs function wont be unique to ETH anymore.
Well, not necessarily. I do think they're relatively safe for the short and mid term because of their name (brand) value....
