Money. ~$10M/day is made mining ETH now. A year ago it was ~$1M/day, and 15 months ago it was <$500K/day. Bitmain's ethash miner is not going to have a significant impact, because unlike bitcoin and sia mining, it requires large amounts of RAM. The costs of the RAM significantly exceeds the costs of the ASICs. At US$450, ETH is now 1/3 of it's peak in Jan, and that is what is having the biggest impact on mining and GPU demand. Summer is coming in the Norther Hemisphere, which means miners with expensive electricity costs will be shutting down rigs. Unless the price of ETH climbs back over $1000, I predict the GPU shortage will be over by mid-summer, and GPU cards will be readily available at their MSRP.
I'm happy to report I was able to get some gtx 1060 6GB Founders Edition on nvidia's website for msrp 299 USD.. I subscribed to their notification and was alerted that they were in stock a day before, then I snagged up a couple. a couple?? you mean 2... u cant buy more then 2...

they just removed 80% of the states that were "in process" what a joke rofl. Did you read the disclaimer or watch the video update at all? Since they are not targeting Peer-to-Peer exchange at rollout they really don't need the money-transmitter license.... per their website "American Trade Exchange, Inc. is in the process of obtaining money transmitter licenses in the following states. Money transmitter licenses are required per state in order to offer a peer-to-peer exchange service. Money transmitter licenses are not required by American Trade Exchange, Inc. when buying and selling directly with a verified user." source ( https://www.vertbase.com/legal/compliances/) u need a money transmitter license to deal in washington state or newyork, Period. and those two states were listed and now their gone...

I have 6 Vega 56’s running on this board.
For some reason anytime one of the GPU overheats and causes the rig to crash, the last slot that I have a GPU plugged into will randomly disable on the restart. I can switch it to another slot...or I can even just kill the power for a second, restart again and the slot lights back up green (it’ll be red when it’s disbaled) and it’s enavled once more.
The problem is that I manage my mining rigs remotely, so manually killing the power is a royal pain as I typically have to drive to the office to do so.
I also have 6 Vegas on an Asus z270-p & 6 on a asrock btc+ board and never have that issue on either of those boards.
I would love to hear that this is a bios setting that I can change but I don’t see anything in the bios that would be causing this to happen. I’m also on the latest version of the bios, I believe.
Has anybody else run into this? Any ideas why the cause might be? It feels like some kind of protection setting but like I mentioned I don’t see anything in the bios and my google searches have come up blank so far.
there are 3 seperate pages where you must change pcie spec to Gen2 instead of the common Gen1. asus b250 mining expert needs gen2 set for some amd cards, most of the time it is not necessary. the most common problem i have had were bad usb cables for risers. i dont know if it is the cause of asus b250, since its the only motherboards i own for mining... but check to see if thats the case. Use 6 known working good risers, and riser usb cables on asus b250 and see if that solves your problems.

2.6 is good miner
but is 2.7c scam? it got released after claymore scare!
|
|
|
why use 2.7c?? it after claymore scare... not trust worthy cmon guys!
Because it’s faster and more stable than Claymore for a lot of people. Myself included. And it has a lower fee. No brainer. im talking about 2.7c... not pheonix in general
|
|
|
weak hands can't handle the volatile market. vtc is still up from last year. cryptos is still in the infancy stage. if you can't handle the big price movement, i suggest you sell and get out of cryptos.
what big price movement... vtc has been dead forever rofl

or just release private binaries already keeping same 1% fee lol
if the whole world has it u as the dev get more cause everyone mining faster.
|
|
|
its 2018... we have idiots who think asus b250 is a trash board. mining has really gone to shit. to many new "gamers" who have no idea wtf their doing.
so u calling pheonix a lier is like calling a retarded person retarted... just file lawsuit and be done with it.

@PhoenixMiner:
you use my GPU kernels in your "fastest" miner, 100% match of binaries. I can prove it if you are not going to confirm it. So do you confirm it?
I cant confirm if this is true, but Phoenix Miner is genuinely more stable than Claymore and I do get slightly more shares. I think Claymore is great software but after a certain period mining, 1% fees for solo kinda grates, its extortionate in fact. Consequently, like you say in your readme "if you dont like the fees, dont use it" - I'm doing exactly that. Thanks for you opinion and for registering on this forum just to say that, you are free to use any miner of course. I just want the confirmation from the author of this software that he dumped my AMD GPU kernels and uses them in his miner. how same kernels if pheonixminer is faster?
