61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: October 07, 2017, 09:36:35 PM
I just cant figure out which way this coin will go.  Has it reached it's peak and we need to cut our losses or can it bounce back to over $.5?
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: October 07, 2017, 07:12:13 PM
I'm not spreading fud but I want to ask a serious question.

Isn't this just a ERC20 token with a severe flaw in the code?  I don't appreciate how it has anything more to do with BTC than SOIL coin or any other random ERC20 token but this one comes with baggage.  Don't the new "e" tokens kind of ruin the credibility of eBTC?

I hope some can explain how I'm wrong.

You look like a skeptical guy like that who bought a pizza for 10,000 BTC, LOL ... I want to ask you a question: What launched crypto that came with your perfect code and without defect?
Now I want a good argument saying that I am wrong.

lol oh man the 10,000 BTC pizza guy. Nobody wants to be that guy. Cheesy

Why does everyone refer to the pizza guy like he made the worst mistake ever, he made one of the first real world trades with bitcoins, that helped bitcoin tremendously how many times do you hear about the pizza guy, and If he paid 10,000 BTC for a pizza he obviously had a shit ton more..... I'm sure he is filthy rich today and laughs every time he hears about the *The pizza guy that spent 10,000BTC on a single pizza*

Whoever laughs when it is mentioned about 1pizza / 10.000BTC is who sold it, and who really opened the doors of the trade to BTC was the owner of the pizzeria who believed in the bitcoin ... LOL and today surely he is rich.

If you find his account here on the forum, he actually said that he spent almost all of his BTC when it was dirt cheap on things like pizza.  He was also the first person (that I know of) to GPU mine bitcoin. The pizza btc address has like no money in it now.
63  Other / Archival / Re: eSausage - the new movement - TOKENIZE the sausages [AIRDROP - NOW!!!] on: October 07, 2017, 08:49:04 AM
lol wow this is really getting out of hand, at least some of them are funny
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: More airdrops on the way? on: October 07, 2017, 08:24:08 AM
Yeah, it's like a new trend about the airdrop things but please be smart. Most of them are scammy and only for quick cash, eBTC eDASH eBTCC and many else. Just look at announcements section, they are full of airdrop and the ANN thread is so cheap, only some words and if you look at the airdrop participants, most of them are new account.

I don't think that eBTC is a scam, but the other copies riding it's wave of popularity likely are.  That said I don't really think eBTC solves any real problems so it's not an amazing innovation or anything.
65  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: October 07, 2017, 08:20:30 AM
I don't believe in god in the sense that I don't think we are actively watched over an interacted with by a creator.   I think it's much more likely that the universe is a collection of rules similar to a program and everything more complex stems from that.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best airdrop you ever got (or didnt get) on: October 07, 2017, 08:17:28 AM
I was part of the eBTC airdrop but it looks like I may have missed out on selling at the top.  Who knows, maybe it will pump again.
67  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: October 06, 2017, 10:36:27 PM
For example:look at your neighbor's house, ask him/her:did someone build your house?surely your neigbhor answered,YES,because does not exist if no one build it.Then look around you, your garden, the trees, the flowers, and all the living and non living things in the world, then ask your self:did someone create all of these?just the your neighbor's house, the answer is YES.(Genesis 1:1-31)

Another proof that god existed through the bible and explained and confirmed by science.
In harmony with the views of many scientists today, the ancient Hebrews also believed that the universe had a beginning. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth,” says Genesis 1:1. Also, some 3,500 years ago, God revealed to his servant Job that the earth ‘hangs on nothing,’ or is suspended in space. (Job 26:7) And finally, more than 2,500 years ago, the prophet Isaiah wrote that the earth is a circle or sphere.—Isaiah 40:22.*

Yes, the Bible does harmonize with scientific truths about the natural world. In fact, the two fields of study are more than compatible—they beautifully complement each other. To disregard either one is to leave unopened a door to the knowledge of God.

I think it must be true that some sort of creative force exists.  I think it is a stretch to assume that that force is something sentient.  It's very possible that our universe is simply a natural program with base rules at the lowest level.  Then through endless different permutations and combinations different elements are formed, then molecules, and so forth.  It's simply an assumption to say that all of those are consciously designed. If you look around the universe, you will see that everything organizes down to the same simple shapes and physical behaviors.  Very complex things can arise from very simple parts.

There's a gaping hole in your logic. With empty space, we can compare it to "non-empty space": We can see how photons, atoms or subatomic particles react in an environment of "empty space" and an environment containing matter. Therefore we can obtain actual data, and look at the differences between the two environments.
You simply don't understand what you are talking about. "Photons, atoms or subatomic particles" are an environment of matter as well as energy. No matter contains matter within the essence of itself. All matter shares empty space. Empty space contains matter. You really need to brush up on your basic science.

With a god, such a comparison is logically impossible. We can't compare an environment with, or without a god, because only one scenario is logically possible.
An atom resides within empty space. There is empty space within the atom, between the electrons, and between the electrons and the nucleus. Empty space is within, without, and "flowing" through all material and energy.

The only difference with God is, He even made the empty space. So, we absolutely can use the relationships between photons, atoms or subatomic particles in empty space to prove that God exists.

Therefore, scientific proof of a god cannot be compared to evidence, or proof, of "empty space".

Your move...

Therefore, scientific proof for God absolutely can be compared to evidence, or proof, for "empty space".

Cool

Too bad you dont even understand entropy and too bad your ''proof'' is self refuting (everything has a cause, yet god doesn't?)

This was the one thing that I never really understood about origin arguments based on god.  If god existed in the beginning, then it to must have been created somehow, so it's also just as likely that the universe itself was there at the beginning.

The best logical idea I have that allows for a god is that god exists outside of the universe, like a programmer running a simulation able to make tweaks.  However for such a large scale simulation then it is likely utilizing something like procedural generation where the programmer does not have full control. Even in that scenario we are left with the question of how the higher level univers of the gods was created.  Ultimately, it just ends up looping back on itself until you accept that SOMETHING is simply the original state.

Satoshi21:
Hey guys to answer your questions, there is a bug in the token contract. The function distributeEBTC in the token contract was found to allow the owner of contract (me) to essentially mint unlimited new tokens, luckily it can only be called by the me. I have not exploited the bug, and I will never exploit the bug. The supply of eBTC will forever remain at 21,000,000 tokens. As soon as it was discovered, the team collectively started brainstorming ideas immediately on how to address the situation and possible solutions. A game plan has formed and will be implemented in the coming days and weeks.

I'm glad to hear the devs address the issue. I still think that is a giant flaw in the code, so I hope they can come up with a satisfactory remedy.  This coin seems like it was reasonably fairly distributed (of course some people abused it with multiple accounts but can't be helped) and already gained a lot of traction.  I'd hate to see an oversight like this be the death of an interesting project with such an active community.

Is there a way to transfer eBTC to a different account on EtherDelta?? The second account is linked to MyEtherWallet but my current account isn't  Huh

Yes, just withdraw to your current EtherDelta wallet (if the coins are in exchange wallet) then send to the address of your other EtherDelta wallet (the one set up with MEW).

Alternately, you could just open the current account on MEW using the private key.  (Just export it from Etherdelta)
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: October 06, 2017, 07:03:12 PM
If I press 'withdraw' on EtherDelta where do my eBTC coins go? To the EtherDelta wallet and then to MyEtherWallet for safe keeping?

"Withdraw" will move coins from your exchange wallet (what you trade with) to your personal wallet linked with EtherDelta (which pays the gas fees)
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: October 06, 2017, 06:02:24 PM
The problem is , you didnt create 10 million but you create 1,157,920,892,373,160,000,000,000,000,000,000,000   Stop FUD

I did not!

I "created" exactly 10'000 coins and eBTC "created" exactly 21'000'000 coins (both have 8 decimals).

Check here my scam-proof-testtoken:
https://ropsten.etherscan.io/address/0xf0fc10a498b98f3f0fbb11245c424020e2247d29#readContract
"2.  totalSupply    1000000000000 uint256"

And compare with original eBTC here:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x2fd41f516fac94ed08e156f489f56ca3a80b04d0#readContract
"2.  totalSupply    2100000000000000 uint256"

Is it possible to short this token somewhere?

Well it disappoints me but this looks pretty damning.  Then again a lot of shitcoins aren't dead so who knows what will happen.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: October 06, 2017, 05:10:37 PM
I have messed up on ethedelta. I lost more than 74 ETH, I changed 74 ETH and got there EBT 0.0018. A big mistake of mine.
Yeah its a common mistake I've been noticing.  Etherdelta is like the wild west, no room for mistakes.  One of the downsides of decentralization.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔥🔥🔥 EXN 🔥🔥🔥 ExchangeN.com on: October 06, 2017, 07:20:11 AM
Is there a whitepaper or github for this project?
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: October 06, 2017, 06:05:02 AM
Ouch, someone just traded 20+ ETH for less than 1 eBTC!
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO=OPEN] CombiCoin: the cryptocurrency that is 100% asset backed by the top 30 on: October 06, 2017, 01:36:42 AM
ICO ended but no official announcement from Combicoin team! If they are sending emails personally they should announce the same thing on their threads and websites.

The more closed the communication the more questions it will raise. Hopefully team will come out and provide all the necessary details regarding ICO, Post ICO plan etc.

Their website is updated to advise ICO is finished and how much money was raised - https://triaconta.com/

Interestingly I noticed this:

"CombiCoin raised more then $ 2,200,000. Exact amount will be communicated at 7-10-2017.

Please leave your e-mail to get notified when the sales of CombiCoin opens again."

The last sentence implies they will do another CombiCoin sale again!

So if you missed out this time, sign up for the email alerts.

In the email I received it said that "With the ICO for CombiCoin and TRIA Token we were able to raise 2,212,545 USD."

It also says in the whitepaper that Combicoins can be created whenever people want to buy them as long as the backing assets are acquired, perhaps that is what they mean?
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SmartBillions World’s first multi-billion-dollar blockchain lottery. on: October 05, 2017, 05:51:59 PM
Wow it looks like they went back on their word and didn't let the hacker keep the bounty. If that's not a giant red flag I don't know what is.

Why saying that. The hackathon rules stated break the smart contract and withdraw the funds. Hackers managed to withdraw 400 ETH the rest of the funds were protected in time by the Admin.
After improving the contract the new hackathon will be announced with a 1500 ETH in the contract.

I just find it concerning that the money that is supposed to be set away for prizes is able to be removed by the anonymous devs at a whim.  It would have made more sense if the funds were automated and released back to them at the end of the hackathon.  What's to stop them from just running off with the jackpot once the actual lottery is running? I'm not making any accusations, I'm just saying it looks fishy to me personally.

S just to check when you set up the Etherdelta account it is best to import a new myetherwallet or is it okay to use one with some value on it?  Is the private key safe with EtherDelta?  I don't know exactly how it works I just know you submit to a smart contract to trade.  It seems like a good place to trade new small cap coins.

Seems like an interesting project, the Whitepaper looks good at a glance.  I wonder how this compares to Combicoin?  They seem to be similar projects. I think the idea of a crypto index fund makes a lot of sense, so I'm not surprised to see them start popping up.
