Any clues as to a time of this 'event' tomorrow?   Grin
9:00 am - 12:00 pm tomorrow.
what time zone?
EDT
62  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 13, 2013, 10:59:00 PM
Regulation only affects acquiring bitcoins. The fundamentals do not change. Speculators have already taken this into account.

And this is why I'm a noob. I have no idea how that relates to my prediction.  Shocked

And yet you can confidently predict a flash-crash tomorrow?

Confidently, arrogantly, noobishly...I'm sure there are a lot of words that can be applied. "And yet it moves"
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 13, 2013, 10:55:03 PM
You could be right, bitcoin is already down to 102 now and it's not even June 14th yet.

I read the Wall Observer thread, but I barely understand any of it (just figured out what a "Wall" was today because google is yer friend). I had the nerve to post there until I realized just how high over my paygrade the people in that thread are. Now I just read. You guys are awesome.

Having said that, I don't think y'all have the background to anticipate the public's reaction to a story linking BTC "trafficking" to the whole missing children meme. "Can't we save the children from these monstrous, uncaring, profiteers?" is the hue and cry I'm expecting.
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 13, 2013, 10:44:48 PM
Oh, I can't wait for this crash and burn, I don't mean Bitcoins crash and burn, but you're wild ass guesses and claiming insider information. Burn baby burn!

Lesson learned. I'll never make a joke claiming insider information again. Please don't hurt me. (grin)

Oh, and I skipped responding to all that stuff about hashing and editing because it REALLY makes me feel noob and way way way over my paygrade.
65  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 13, 2013, 10:39:54 PM

Man I'm glad I'm BTC broke! That's 2 coins I'd have to pay out! (grin)
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 13, 2013, 10:35:57 PM
I skipped replying to the posts about files and blockchain and stuff because way above my paygrade. Awesome stuff though.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 13, 2013, 10:33:33 PM
If you are so sure of this prediction, you should write it down in a textfile, then compress it with a nice and long sting as password. You then post a link to the compressed file here, and give the password after "the event".

+1. That ought to be the standard practice on this forum anytime someone comes in claiming to know some huge news but "can't reveal it until afterwards."

Wouldn't it be easier to just create a subforum off speculation, something like "Noobs without a clue to how things really work throw darts and poke out an eye?"
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Certified: Bold. on: June 13, 2013, 10:30:11 PM

Seriously? The Wall of Fame? I guess that means I'm famous! Oh shit! That means I'm famous! Time to head for the bunker and put on my tinfoil hat!
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 13, 2013, 10:26:25 PM
If it's in references to this thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=232950.msg2455940#msg2455940

There is nothing to worry about. The virtual currencies used for crimes are plethora and capitalized in hundreds of billions. That problem predates Bitcoin by decades and will continue to avoid Bitcoin as it is far more traceable than offshore virtual banks.

Damn! I was hoping no one would guess it before tomorrow. Poor you! If I had any BTC, I'd have to pay up. (grin)

Your "Account Verification" hint infers regulation of some sort. I doubt you have any information that hasn't been considered and extensively discussed on this forum.

Regulation will be one of the reactions to this event. And this was mentioned in the Wall Observer thread. That's my so-called "insider" information. Smiley
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 13, 2013, 10:18:17 PM
Haha, as usual, want to bet?  Grin
Alas, I have no coin. What would you consider worth my putting up against 1BTC? (grin)
Is the reason you have no coin also the reason for the flashcrash; i.e you're dumping 50K bitcoins or something tonight at 03:00 CET?
 Cool

What? Sorry, that made me slip into a fantasy of having 50K BTC for a moment there...No, I have no Bitcoins. It has nothing to do with anything I could possibly do. Noob here with experience as a moderator to a certain group that would have trigger reaction to this event. Blow that up to the general public's love of dirty laundry and you have my arrogant assumption.

This is related to Glenn Beck's "world-changing whistleblower leak" that is supposed to happen sometime today. OP is taking a gamble on "The Blaze"

 Grin Grin Grin

Good guess! Wrong though. Something else completely.

Great, another idiot who thinks regulation lowers price. "Hint" or not, that's baloney. If destroying bitcoin were as easy as that, FinCEN would have done it ages ago.
Be as vague as possible and provide no information (other than the classic "I have insider info, I swear!")
A few people might believe you! Good luck  Grin
It will cause short term lower price, because people will think that it may cause it.

I'm saying the event that will happen tomorrow will cause it. Period. No short term lower price. Flash Crash starting at below 99 tomorrow. No ifs ands or buts, no well, not enough people understood me, no oh well, it will happen if given enough time...no excuses, no equivocation, no vagueness. Tomorrow. And this isn't insider information. It's a conclusion I don't think people without my personal experience would reach. I'm either right, or I'm wrong.

Seems like he admitted to having no BTC... maybe he just wants the price lower so he can BUY!  Roll Eyes

Who doesn't? (grin)

Bitcoin won't be destroyed. Regulation will be a consequence, not a cause of the  crash. And it won't be FinCEN's doing. Thanks, I'll be as vague as I want to be until tomorrow. And my "insider info" was a joke. I do have reasons that will either play out the way I think they will, or won't. Tomorrow. I'm not asking anyone to believe me. I'm speculating. Thanks! Good luck to you too. }:-)

Fine. After you have experienced the joys of living on the streets, and figured out that NOT living on the streets is an excellent reason to live (grin), check out the Sally. BTW, they don't do handouts. How do you think they stock those Thrift stores? Can you say ARC? (grin)
Sorry if you think what you said doesn't matter, because it does. Just your response caring was enough to appreciate.

Then yer not remembering them very well. Get motivated. The position you are  in now is much better than having to work your way back up. You have resources. Use them. Call 211. Get counseling. Look for work, a place to stay, enough income to pay the basic necessities. If you are willing to kill yourself, then you don't care what happens to you. So why do it? That's freedom. If it doesn't matter if you live or die, then live. Do whatever you want. Why not? Still better than killing yourself. You can always die later. In fact, you most likely will at some point. (grin)

I'll be Win or Fail tomorrow, so I'll state my reasons and evidence then.
And if it's win, what are your expectations then?
Below 88 by June 18.
Well that one is obvious. The push to 110 was done artificially via a single order with 10 dollar slippage. It will go at least to 88.

88 is conservative. Doesn't have anything to do with trading.
